Obituary Preview: Paul was born October 18, 1925 to Paul and Louise Prison in Dudweiler, Germany. He immigrated to the United States in 1951. Paul met his wife Isa at a Church choir fell in love and they were married on September 17, 1954 in the Salt Lake Temple. Paul and Isa loved to visit National Parks together with their children. Paul loved to sing, and he knew countless witty German quotes that he would recite every time someone talked to him. Paul loved to run rivers and loved to share this passion with his family and friends, his favorite being Lodore Canyon. His last river trip was last summer at the age of 89.

Paul is survived by four children, Ivy (Marty) Peterson, Homer (Janet) Prison, Dinah Webb, and David Prison, his brother Horst Prison, nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Isa and son Kenneth. The funeral will be held Wednesday March 16, 12 noon at the Richmond First Ward, 135 West Main Street, Richmond, Utah 84333, a viewing will be held one hour prior to services. A Graveside service will be held Thursday 11:00 am at the Salt Lake City Cemetery

Obituary Preview: Our beloved mother, grandmother and friend peacefully returned to her Heavenly Father, January 18, 2016 at the age of 87. Barbara was born June 9th 1928 to Hobart and Mary Ann Dumke. She was raised in Farmington Utah and graduated from Davis High. She served as a missionary in the Western Canada Mission in the early 1950s. She married her eternal sweetheart, Melvin Cottrell Blamires, in the Salt Lake Temple on June 17, 1952.

Barbara was a life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved serving in many capacities, touching the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was a current member of the Farmington Third Ward. She loved the church and was blessed by having the sacrament brought to her home for several years. She always had the scriptures close by and loved reading stories from the Bible and Book of Mormon.

Barbara was fun loving and always put family first. She especially liked board and card games and spent many hours playing Sorry with her grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and relished many of the simple things of life. She had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed kidding around with others often saying, “If you don’t have something to laugh about then forget about it”. She loved music and found joy in playing the piano and singing church hymns. Her favorite song was “I Am a Child of God”.

She is survived by three children, Craig (Sandra), Christina Durfee and Scott (Maria), 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, daughter Tamara, grandson Jessie Blamires, siblings Hobart and Ida, and by her parents.

A funeral will be held Saturday January 23, at the Farmington Rock Church (272 North Main) at noon with a viewing beginning at 10:30 a.m. Alma 40:11-12

Obituary Preview: Clayton Gurney Pehrson, age 77, returned home on June 16, 2014. He was surrounded by his loving family as he peacefully joined his anxious loved ones waiting through the veil. Clayton was born September 29, 1936 in Lehi Utah to Sydney Pehrson and Sarah Delvora Gurney. He had six sisters and four brothers and he was the fifth child born. He had a wonderful loving family who worked hard together to provide for the needs of their large family. Clayton had a very active part in running and maintaining the farm machinery. Clayton forged strong ties with all of his siblings, which have never dwindled as time lead each in different directions. He attended Vernon Elementary and Tooele High School. Clayton served in the Utah National Guard. He met Erla Johnson in the summer of 1958 and they were married June 29, 1960 in the Salt Lake Temple. They planted roots in Erla's hometown of Farmington, and there they have flourished raising their family. Clayton worked hard as a steel worker for Mark Steel Inc. for 30 years. Clayton was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He and his family thrived on any opportunity to get together. Whether hunting, camping or any reason for a gathering at his cabin on Bountiful Peak, to going to his beloved Vernon where he would go as often as possible. More than anything he loved being with his 14 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Grandpa loved taking them many places, and each one would tell you that being with him was always an adventure. Clayton was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served diligently in many callings. He was a gentle giant but his testimony of the Savior and eternal Family was evident in his actions. He is survived by his loving wife Erla Johnson Pehrson, his children; Jody and (Donel) Anderson (Willard), Shawn and (Susan) Pehrson (Syracuse), Shane and (Rebecca) Pehrson (Syracuse), Jacob Pehrson (Farmington) and 14 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, his siblings Jacqueline Pehrson, Eric and (Darlene) Pehrson, Sydney and (Tiiu) Pehrson, Linda and (Jim) Ekker, Vicki Jo and (John) Smeckens, and in-laws Willis Bitner, Dian and (Calvin Ferrin) and Bill and (DeeAnn) Johnson. He is proceeded in death by his son Randy Clayton, his parents; and his half brothers Bryant and John Pehrson; a half sister Elaine Bitner, his sisters, Emma Lou Kirkham, and Lois Gattung. Friends and family may pay their respects at the Farmington Compton Bench Chapel, 900 N 300 W Compton Rd, Farmngton UT. on Thurday June 19, 2014 from 6 to 8 pm and Friday June 20, 2014 from 10 am followed by services beginning at 11 am.
