Kristen Mary Veto - December 22, 1989 - March 25, 2024

Departed: 03/25/2024 (Menomonee Falls)
Obituary Preview: Kristen “Krissy” Veto passed away unexpectedly on March 25, 2024 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was only 34 years old. All those who loved her are deeply saddened by her loss.
Kristen was born on December 22, 1989 in Charleston, South Carolina, the beloved only child to Jill and Timothy Veto. She was a Christmas gift.
At 5 ½ years old Kristen and her mom relocated back to Jill’s home of Wisconsin. She always missed her friends and home in Goose Creek, South Carolina. Upon returning from her first day of school, she informed her mother she did not plan on returning. That she did not like it, already knew her ABC’s and could count, so there was no need. She was very upset to find out it was the law. Fortunately, she did return and graduated from Menomonee Falls High School in 2008.
Kristen started working at 14 years old and never stopped. She began in the dining department of The Arboretum retirement community.  She was a favorite of all the surrogate grandparents she served. Then continued as a waitress and sometime management at Pizza Hut.
She was currently enrolled in an apprenticeship program through MATC and Cheveux Hair Salon of Brookfield, Wisconsin, for Cosmetology. Kristen would have graduated in two months. She often spoke of the impact a new hairdo had on people. Their gratitude and smiles meant the world to her.  Although hair was Kristen’s first love, she was incredibly creative. She loved her music, painting, crafts, crocheting, plants and animals, especially her beloved cats “Bear”, “Scooter” and “Link”.
Kristen was beautiful inside and out. Life was not always easy and she struggled at times. Always a compassionate, tender-hearted child with a bigger than life smile. She touched so many in her all too short life but will forever be remembered and in our hearts.
Kristen always had a special bond with the grandmother she adored, Gloria Mae Otto. Grandma visited South Carolina often and they spent a lot of time together over the years. It was hard for her to lose grandma, when she passed away in 2016. Also her Great aunt, Patricia Gagnon who passed this last February,  but we know they were the first to greet Kristen with open arms in Heaven.
She is survived by her heart broken parents Jill and John Reynolds of Green Bay, Wisconsin. Step sisters, Megan (Chris) Henschel (nephews Jack and Eliott) of Manawa, Wisconsin and Adrienne (Jeff) Barnow of Boulder, Colorado.  Her uncle “Mike” Krueger and family of Mukwonago, Wisconsin. The entire Reynolds family.  Her cousins The Doberstein family of La Crosse, Wisconsin and The Soles family of Forest Lake, Minnesota.  Her special Friend James Gallipeau of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin and countless more family and friends.

Patricia J. Sargent - April 12, 1946 - January 25, 2024

Departed: 01/25/2024 (Menomonee Falls)
Obituary Preview: Patricia J. Sargent (nee Ternes) died peacefully following a surgery, in Milwaukee on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at the age of 77. Her loss was unexpected, and her family, while heartbroken by her absence, is heartened that she is free of the pain that took away her freedom and independence over the last few years of her life.
Born in 1946 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Patricia grew up in New Berlin, WI.   In 1961, she met the love of her life, Michael Sargent and graduated from New Berlin West High School in 1964. Pat and Mike were married on Dec. 31, 1966. Pat was always the brightest light in the room – sharing her bright smile and a hug with everyone who crossed the threshold of her home. Those guests often brought yet another bunny keepsake as a gift, adding to a never-ending trove of planters, pictures, painting, mugs and more representing her favorite animal.
Nothing made Pat happier than spending time with family and friends, sharing laughs, drinks and rowdy games of Sheepshead. If she wasn’t hosting her family of three brothers, two sisters and dozens of nieces and nephews during the holidays, she was in the kitchen cooking up a dish for the family to take to their house. While she loved big gatherings often hosting parties for friends, family and co-workers.  She always found time for every guest and enjoyed introducing guests to each other creating new friendships for everyone. She made sure to find out what was going on with everyone since she saw them last and always had a library of greeting cards at the ready to send for any occasion she learned of.
The only thing that Pat loved as much as her family and friends was rooting for her favorite teams – Brewers, Packers and Bucks – or rocking out to her favorite music – Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi and U2 just to name a few -- fishing, going to concerts and sharing her joy with everyone around her. When the weather warmed, nothing made her happier than heading to the lakefront for Summerfest every day she could make it.
Pat worked in the insurance industry making many lifelong friends along the way.  After retirement, Pat enjoyed doting on her beloved cat of 15 years, Miss Kitty and her grandchildren, Max and Emme, visiting as often as she could.
Patricia was preceded in death by her mother, Edith Ternes (nee Johnson), her father, Eugene Ternes and her step mother, Rosemary Ternes.
