Obituary Preview: LaVerne A. Foerster, age 85, of Woodstock, passed away on April 4, 2022 with her loving family by her side.
She was born on June 30, 1936 in Chicago, IL. She is the daughter of Harold and Alice (Maierhofer) Bornhoff. She married the late Robert Foerster on May 12, 1956 in Northbrook, IL.
LaVerne was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Woodstock and volunteered for meals on wheels. She had many talents including bookkeeping for her family farm business, her husbands farming and over-the-road tucking company and was a dedicated receptionist for Woodstock Animal Hospital for many years.
Bob and LaVerne enjoyed a full life together traveling in their motor home crisscrossing the country and into Canada and Alaska making many friends along the way. All those that knew LaVerne, admired her strength, poise and tenacity.
She loved spending time with her family and will be greatly missed by many.
She is survived by her children, Jeffery (Marla) Foerster, Richard (Laure) Foerster and Cynthia (David) Kasischke; grandchildren, Benjamin (Sylvia) Foerster, Meghan Laine, Timothy (Gail) Foerster, Kevin (Emily) Foerster, Rebeckah (Jarrad) Webster, Jessica (Tim) LeTourneau; 12 great-grandchildren and her sister Nancy (Fred) Walker.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents and her in-laws, John and Alberta Foerster.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 9am until the funeral service at 11am at Grace Lutheran Church, 1300 Kishwaukee Valley Rd Woodstock, IL 60098. Interment will be at a later date.

He was born on February 16, 1960 in Arlington Heights, the son of Clarence and Rochelle (Lass) Haydysch. He married the late Beverly Haydysch on December 31, 2001.
Barry was an avid outdoors man. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. Every moment he had he would spend outside with nature. He was a great carpenter and enjoyed making furniture, grandfather clocks and just whittling. He will be missed by many.
He is survived by his ten step-children, Alan Pruski, Michael (Cindy) Pruski, Dale Pruski, Leeann Pruski, Joseph (Dawn) Perez, Anthony Perez, Felina (Terry) Eddy, Kenneth (Jenny) Redner, Shawn (Hillary) Redner, Shirley Konczal; 17 granchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Bret (Mary) Haydysch, sister, Sheila (Dave) Streit; niece and nephews and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife and his brother Brian Haydysch

Obituary Preview: Debra L. Klein, 65, of Woodstock passed away on Sunday April 3, 2022 at her home in Woodstock.
She was born in Woodstock on November 17, 1956 to Harold and Nancy (Foat) Beyer. On November 24, 1992 she married Jim Klein.
Deb worked as the Office Manager at Alliance Contractors for 35 years. She volunteered at Helping Paws for over 12 years. She made all the dogs feel as comfortable and loved as any shelter could. For many years Deb and her husband ran the Woodstock on the Square Auto Show and raised money for various local charities. Every Halloween they held a Food Drive for the local Food Pantry at their home. She was a member of the Woodstock Moose. She was known as a helper for any organization that needed her. Her favorite activity was spending time with her precious grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband; her daughter Katie (Tony) Kuch; step daughter Rebecca (Dan) Schiess; grandchildren Vinny, Aria, Arlo, Sienna; step grandchildren Nathan and Matthew; mother Nancy Nusbaum; brother Donald (Karen) Beyer; sisters Vickie (Dave) Gallup and Sherry (Bob) Cown.
She was preceded in death by her father.
The visitation will be Thursday April 7, 2021 from 10 am until the 1 pm funeral service at Schneider, Leucht, Merwin and Cooney Funeral Home 1211 N. Seminary Ave. Woodstock, Illinois. Burial will be private.

Obituary Preview: Betty R. Wagner of Woodstock passed away on Thursday March 17, 2022.
She was born in McHenry on January 2, 1933 to Anton and Margaret (Freund) Schmitt. She married Robert Wagner on June 26, 1954.
She enjoyed traveling to other states and going camping along the way. She would often be reading magazines and doing embroidery in the boat while Bob was fishing. Betty always made the holidays special with tiny decorations throughout her house and often little treats for everyone. When her daughters were young, she was the brownie leader at St. Mary school for 7 years. She was interested in photography and genealogy and took family pictures for many years at the Schmitt and Kline family reunions. Most of all she enjoyed being with her family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was always ready for the next big adventure.
She is survived by three daughters, Kathy (Gary) Gyssler, Janet (Tom) Leiker, Diane (Andy) Madsen; grandchildren, Alan (Kim) Gyssler, Grant (Megan) Gyssler, Ashley (Brian) Edwards, Rhiannon (Nate) Terpstra, Shannon (Jake) Combs, John (Kelli) Leiker, Diana Leiker, Patrick (Allison) Leiker; great grandchildren, Emmett, Eleanor, Brandon, Lucy, Tessa, Blake, Joliene, Kiera, Lorelei, William, Nora, Finn, Cove; three sisters, Jean Vogel, Phyllis White and Joyce (Axel) Schwanke.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Gordon (Ginnie) Schmitt.
The funeral mass and interment services will be private. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Obituary Preview: Linda A. Cooney, age 62, of Waukesha, passed away peacefully after a long illness, on March 13, 2022 at Aurora Medical Center-Summit. She was born on February 20, 1960 in St. Louis, MO to Martin L. and Joanne Ploussard. She grew up in St. Louis, MO, Bloomington, MN, and Homewood, IL.
After graduating cum laude from Marquette University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing she embarked on a 30-year career as a Registered Nurse at Aurora Mt. Sinai Hospital in Milwaukee.
On September 10, 1983 she married Timothy J. Cooney, of Woodstock, IL., whom she had met while they were both students at Marquette. They made their first home in West Allis, eventually settling in Waukesha.
Her greatest joy was raising their two sons. She took great pride in their many accomplishments, encouraging them along the way. She served as a school volunteer from their kindergarten years through high school. She had the ability to talk to anyone about anything, and put them at ease, both professionally and socially.
Linda is survived by her husband of 38 years, Timothy; their two sons, Brian (Jazzelle Peters) Cooney, of West Allis, James (Maggie Davison) Cooney, of Sun Prairie and her beloved grandsons, Owen and Silas Cooney, together with many friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 4:00 PM until the 6:00 PM funeral service at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Obituary Preview: Ronald W. Hyde, age 81, of Woodstock, passed away on March 11, 2022 in Barrington with his loving family by his side.
He was born on February 19, 1941 in Eddyville, Ky, the son of George and Julia (Dycus) Hyde.
In 1956 he moved to Woodstock with his family. In 1958 he started dating Carol Carlstrom and they became high school sweethearts. They married four years later on July 7, 1962. They would have celebrated 60 years of marriage this year. He was a supervisor at Woodstock Die Cast until it closed. He then worked at HS Crocker until his retirement in 2008.
He loved to fish and spent many times with his family in Wisconsin and Minnesota fishing. He was a Boy Scout leader with his brother Denny in troop 167 for several years. Ron was also very artistic, his most proud accomplishment was decorating prize winning pumpkins for his kids and grandkids and they would win 1st place in the contests. To his grandchildren he was Papa Ronnie. Lauren and Jake named him Superman.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Steve (Kip) Hyde, Michelle (Dave) Hammer and Melissa Krause; grandchildren and his pride and joy, Lauren Hammer, Jacob Hammer and Emma Krause; brothers, Donald (Connie) Hyde, Dennis (Debbie) Hyde and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws Art and Emma Carlston

Obituary Preview: Mary Ann T. Sullivan, loving Mother, Aunt to many, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Friend, passed away on March 11, 2022 at Hearthstone Village in Woodstock, Illinois.  She was 86.
She was born on November 9, 1935 in Chicago to John and Florence (Janusheske) Dressen.  She married Michael Joseph Sullivan in 1956.
Mary Ann moved to Woodstock from Chicago over 30 years ago. She belonged to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Woodstock and worked at Hoyne Savings  Bank for many years.  Arts, crafts, ceramics, painting and sewing were her passions.  She loved making Christmas tree skirts and giving them to her friends. She made many new dear friends in Woodstock including her neighbors the Webber’s, Sean and Lisa Sullivan and their children Elisabeth and Josh who were very fond of Mary Ann.  She will be missed by all.
She is survived by her children, Mark (Diane Latz) Sullivan, Michael (Bilian) Sullivan, Brian (Kristi) Sullivan, Kevin (Michelle) Sullivan and Kathleen Sullivan; grandchildren, Brianna (Matthew) Campbell, Baylee, Payton, Sean, Timothy and Anna Claire; great-grandchildren, Erin and Christopher Campbell, her close cousin Jean and her late husband Jerry Mattakat and her best friends for over fifty years Linda Macchitelli and Giesela Popova both from Chicago.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Michael, her brother John, her granddaughter Tess Marie and her dear companion the late Dick Thomas of Woodstock.
We are deeply grateful for the loving care that our mother received from Yulia, Lesia and Lidiia. These three ladies were Mary Ann's angels here on earth. We are appreciative to the entire staff at Hearthstone Village for their dedicated care.

Lois Vivian Roehr - March 18, 1927 - March 10, 2022

Obituary Preview: Lois Kroetsching Roehr age 94, passed away at her home on March 10, 2022. She was born on March 18, 1927 in Stratton, Nebraska to Russell and Gertrude (Sharp) Kroetsching. She grew up in Sharon Springs, Kansas where she was Valedictorian of her high school class. In her youth she endured the Dust Bowl, the Great Depression and the death of her mother when she was nine years old. Lois’ strong beliefs of right and wrong shaped her life, and when working in a movie theater at the age of 16 she refused to enforce the policy of segregating black patrons to the back of the theater. She simply stated “It wasn’t right.” When she moved to Woodstock, she met Lloyd Roehr while working at the Woodstock Typewriting Factory. In 1947 they married and resided in Woodstock, IL for the duration of their marriage. They had a loving relationship and were devoted to raising their four daughters, Sandra Dixon (Larry Petersen) Janice Schwartz (Jeff) Nancy Lorch (Frank) and Francine Krueger (Kurt). She passed on the love of reading, cooking and traveling to her “girls.”
Lois is also survived by five grandchildren: Sean Lorch (Lindsay), Sarah Dixon, Marinne Leonard (John), Michael Dixon (Chelsea), Dustin Krueger (Carrie) and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, her parents, a baby brother and many aunts and uncles.
Lois was the foundation of our family and we are heartbroken by her passing.
Her family would like to thank Yuli, her devoted caregiver and Donna from Journey Care Hospice for their tender care of our Mother.
The visitation will be held at Schneider - Leucht – Merwin and Cooney Funeral Home 1211 N. Seminary Avenue in Woodstock on March 18, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm with a prayer service at 5:00.
Donations to the Red Cloud Indian School which is going through a “Truth and Healing process” to face its past would be appreciated. (Historic Mission Building, 100 Mission Dr, Pine Ridge, SD 57770). Or if you are so inclined, donations to the Woodstock Food Pantry would also be appreciated.

He was born in Harvard on November 26, 1955, the son of Michael and Therese (Tobin) Duffy. He married Sue St.John in Madison, Wisconsin.
John enjoyed listening to music, loved playing the upright bass and going to concerts. He was a sound man for many local bands and enjoyed mixing and recording music. John took joy in watching his nieces and nephews sporting events. He loved animals especially his dogs. He had a huge heart and was very generous with his time. He was always willing and able to help anyone he could.
John is survived by his loving wife, Sue St.John; her children Christi Stutz, Matthew St.John, Nathan St.John and their children; his siblings, Michael Duffy, Colleen (Larry) Bowles, Tim (Catherine) Duffy, Larry (Danette) Duffy and Patrick (Suzanne) Duffy; nieces and nephews, James (Lynn) Misulonas, Beth Misulonas, Meaghan Haak, Courtney Misulonas, Michael (Kristen) Duffy, Benjamin Duffy, Larry Duffy, Misty (Nate) Priebe, Sonia Duffy, Teagan Duffy, Grady Duffy, Paul (Chrisy) Duffy and Wayne (Rochelle) Tomasek.
He was preceded in death by his parents, partner of many years, Twylhae Hiatt, his sister-in-law Julia Duffy and his uncle, John Tobin.

Peggy J. Menzel - February 26, 1934 - March 05, 2022

Obituary Preview: Peggy Menzel, 88, of Hartland, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at the Valley Hi Care Center in Hartland surrounded by her family.
She was born Margaret J. Hallisy on February 26, 1934 in Hartland Township to John C. and Helen (Bourey) Hallisy.  With an abundance of Margarets in the extended Hallisy family, she soon became known as Peggy, and Peggy it would be for the rest of her life.  She married Richard J. “Dick” Menzel on July 4, 1953 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Woodstock.
Peggy was a lifelong member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church of Hartland.  Being the wife of a fireman, she was a member of the Woman’s Auxiliary of the Woodstock Rural Fire Department, and would provide the men with food and drink while they were on scene.  She worked as bookkeeper for the family-owned Skelly Service Station in Woodstock. Upon retiring, Peggy and Dick bought a summer home in Pioneer Park near Wisconsin Dells. They spent many years hosting family gatherings, 4th of July Anniversary cookouts and summertime fun for the grandkids. Their lifelong friends Joe & Mary Ellen Burg and Jim & Carol Baker also had places at Pioneer Park so they could all enjoy their retirement together; sharing memories and gin and tonics! Peggy was an avid reader, making frequent trips to the Woodstock Library to find a good "whodunnit" or murder mystery to solve. She loved listening to music every morning, enjoyed watching her game shows and always kept an eye on the weather forecast to make sure family around the country was safe and sound. Weekends were for watching whatever sports event Dick may have on. Cubs, White Sox, Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks, Green Bay Packers or Notre Dame's Fighting Irish...she watched them all!
She is survived by her children, Terry (Pat) Menzel of Woodstock, Donna Menzel O’Brien of St. Paul, MN.; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Joshua) Rowe, Shannon O’Brien, Patrick O’Brien, Mark (April) Menzel, Katie (Scott Dubay) Menzel, Kelly (Mike) Brinkman; great grandchildren, Connor, Hunter, Parker and Tayler Menzel, Landon and Makenzie Rice, Logan, Nolan and Reagan Brinkman and Natasha O’Brien; cousins, Mary T. Hallisy and Michael Hallisy; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter, Diane M. Schreiber in 2018.
Visitation will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 Lincoln Avenue Woodstock on Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 9:00 am until the Funeral Mass at 10:30 am in the church.  Interment services will be private in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Woodstock.

Wallace S. Linklater, Jr. - November 18, 1940 - March 04, 2022

Obituary Preview: Wallace (Wally) S. Linklater Jr., 81 of Woodstock, passed away peacefully with his two children by his side on Friday, March 4th, 2022, at the Ada F. Addington Hospice Care Center at Rush University Medical Center.
He was born November 18, 1940 in Chicago, IL., to Wallace S. Linklater Sr. and Rose M. (Nastasi) Linklater. He met the love of his life, Deborah (Sorensen) Linklater, and they were married on May, 2nd 1987 in Woodstock.
For 20 years, Wally worked as a custodian for High School District 155 at Crystal Lake Central and Cary Grove.  His favorite part of life was the time spent with his wife Deborah raising their children Brian and Angela here in Woodstock. He was a car enthusiast, built his home with his bare hands alongside his family, and loved spending time with his children, family and dogs.
He is survived by his two children, Brian and Angela Linklater; his sister, Lucille M. McCauley of Woodstock, IL. His mother-in-law, Erla J. (Zernechel) Sorensen of Franklin, WI; two sister-in-laws, Cindee (Kim) Sheldon and Kimberly Johnson; brother-in-law James Sorensen; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah K. (Sorensen) Linklater; mother, Rose (Nastasi) Mauricaux; father, Wallace S. Linklater Sr.; brother, Raymond C. Linklater.; brother-in-law Martin E. McCauley; nephews, Tony M. McCauley and Joe T. McCauley.
The visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Thursday, March 10, at Schneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Ave., Woodstock. She was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on June 5, 1931 to Paul and Marie (Liebel) Mundt. She married Charles Zimmermann on December 5, 1981.
She was a long and active member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Woodstock and she sang in the choirs for over 50 years. She was involved in Mariola and Home and School and was a member of the Ladies of the Knights. Marian also was involved with the VJ Day celebration held for many years in Woodstock. She also was very involved with the Woodstock 4th of July celebration.She was loved and will be missed.
Marian is survived by a son Craig (Sandra) Fillion; two daughters, Jeanne (Michael) Gannon and Reeda Fillion; three grandchildren Tina (Kurt) Vavra, Todd (Amy) Gannon and Nicholas Fillion; great grandchildren Conlan, Tyce, Allison and Peyton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Visitation for Marian will be Tuesday March 8, 2022 starting at 9 am until the funeral mass at 10:30 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 Lincoln Ave., Woodstock. Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Woodstock.

She was the director of music at St. Mary Catholic Church in Woodstock for 30 years.  She loved music, singing, songwriting, and playing various instruments.  She built her own harp and dulcimers.  She was well known in the area as a folk performer.  She also enjoyed writing and the theatre.  She loved traveling with her best friend, Barbara, camping and bicycling with her husband.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Christine) Musiel, and two grandsons, David and Mark Musiel, a sister-in-law, Dorothy Musielski, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Jerome LaMare.
The visitation will be Tuesday, March 1, 2022 starting at 9:30am until the 10:30am funeral mass at St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 Lincoln Ave., Woodstock.  Burial will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Woodstock.

Obituary Preview: Diane Doty-Brown, age 69, of Woodstock, passed away February 15, 2022 in Barrington, IL.
She was born on October 9, 1952 in Elgin, IL. She is the daughter of Kenneth and Doris (Hunt) Doty.
Diane was raised and lived most of her life in Woodstock.  She was a 1970 graduate of Woodstock High School.  She was a stay at home Mom, Girl Scout Troop leader, and Sunday school teacher.  She was also active with her daughters’ schools as a room mom and with the PTO at Dean Street School.  Later in her life, she went back to school, and in 1997, she graduated with her BSN from St. Anthony’s College of Nursing in Rockford.
Diane worked as a pediatric/medical-surgical nurse and then infection prevention nurse at Centegra Woodstock Hospital.  She was also an infectious disease nurse with the McHenry County Department of Health.  She gained many friendships through the years at both jobs and in life.  Diane loved working as a nurse and spending time with her family and friends.  Her most favorite roles were that of Mom and Grandma, and she was the best at both.  She had many health struggles and she fought every one of them fiercely to the end.  She loved her family and friends, and will be missed so much.
She is survived by her daughters, Molly (Steve) Mungle and Melissa (Shaun) Nolan; grandchildren, Norah Mungle, Lilah Mungle, Callie Nolan and Oliver Nolan; brothers, Dennis Doty, Rod Doty and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant grand-daughter, Meghan Mungle.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 10:00 am until the service at 1:00 pm at Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home 1211 N. Seminary Ave. Woodstock IL 60098. Burial will be private in McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery Woodstock IL.

Obituary Preview: Diane Patricia O’Donnell is survived by her husband, Sean O’Donnell; children, Sheila O’Donnell, Roisin (Xavier) Herrera, Mary (Anthony) Keisling, Patrick (Heidi) O’Donnell, Daniel O’Donnell, and Brendan (Nikki) O’Donnell; grandchildren, Natalia, Maximilian, Mario, and Oliver Herrera, Michael, Sean, Maureen, Liam, and Nicholas Keisling, Francesco, Anna, Sean, and Grace O’Donnell; siblings, Cheryl Hofweber, Thomas (MaryBeth) Smith, and Jeffrey (Robert Rodi) Smith; and sister-in-law, JoAnn Smith.   She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald M. Smith, Sr. and Marjorie H. Smith and her daughter, Maureen Patricia O’Donnell, brother Gerald M. Smith, Jr., and sister-in-law Colleen Poleski.   Diane lived in Chicago until 1951 when her family moved to Woodstock, IL. She was a student of St. Mary Catholic School, and went to Marian Central Catholic High School where she was voted Prom Queen her senior year. She received her teaching degree from St. Mary’s College, Notre Dame. After teaching first grade in Barrington, IL, she met her love Sean O’Donnell while vacationing in Kilcar, County Donegal, Ireland. Three years later, they were married at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on June 24, 1967. During the course of their marriage, they built a home together, had seven children, and thirteen grandchildren. After raising her children, Diane went back to education as the Director of Religious Education at St. Mary’s Catholic Parish in Woodstock, where she guided children in their faith for nearly 20 years.  Her own faith was her guiding light throughout her life, a value which she has passed on to her children and grandchildren. She adored her grandchildren and enjoyed playing the ultimate Mrs. Claus at Christmas, delighting them on birthdays, swimming in the pool with them in the back yard or taking them to Lake Lawn Lodge in Delevan, WI. She often said, "Grandchildren are the frosting on the cake of life." She was very passionate about Catholicism and her job as D.R.E. where she enjoyed creating fun & unique experiences for her students such as "Ring Around the Rosary Mystery Theatre" & "Round 'Em Up for Jesus" themed vacation bible school. She adored traveling, especially to her husband Sean's hometown of Kilcar in Ireland, and she loved cruises and spring getaways in Florida because the ocean feels like "bath water". She recently had the joy of visiting Fatima, Lourdes and the Holy Land. She was happiest when she was with her family near a body of water with a glass of wine in her hand.

He was born on May 19, 1942 in Maroa, IL, the son of Arthur and Marjorie (Bramel) Andes. He married Linda Reese on November 17, 1962 at the First United Methodist Church in Woodstock.
Duane graduated from Woodstock High School in 1960. After high school, he joined the National Guard. In 1963 he started working for Commonwealth Edison working as a meter reader, eventually retiring in 1999 as an Area Foreman. Duane was a volunteer fireman and started the Bull Valley Junior High Bulldogs football team with his friends. He enjoyed laughing at a good joke almost as much as he liked to tell them.  He enjoyed golfing, his daily 7:00 am coffee clutch group, hanging out with his grandchildren and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Shelly (Joe) Berta, Greg (Lisa Weatherman) Andes and Rick (Kim) Andes; grandchildren, Derek (Kara) Brown, Brandon Andes, Paige Berta, a sister, Alice Sanchez and many nieces, nephews and good friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Billy (Judy) Andes.
A Memorial Gathering will be held o Friday, February 18, 2022 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home 1211 N. Seminary Ave. Woodstock, IL. Raymond S. Howard - September 24, 1937 - February 09, 2022

Obituary Preview: Raymond S. Howard, age 84, of Woodstock, passed away peacefully February 9th, 2022 at Hospice in Barrington with his loving family at his side.
He was born September 24th 1937 in Chicago, IL, the only child of Raymond B. and Theresa (Frey) Howard.  He married Julie A. Gullett in Barrington, IL. On April 15th 1967.
He went to Leo Catholic High School in Chicago, and after graduating, studied Geology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. However, aviation was his true passion which brought him a career as a Flight Dispatcher for United Airlines in 1959.  He also received his private pilot’s license and bought and flew his own airplane, a Piper J-3 “Cub”. Unfortunately, that airplane was severely damaged in a tornado at Palwaukee airport in 1967, forcing him to sell it. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany and serving during the Cold War. After the Army, he returned to United Airlines and continued his career with a total of 42 years.  He retired shortly after the September 11th 2001 attacks.
Raymond had an incredible amount of interests, and knowledge on many subjects. He was a master storyteller, with an incredible memory. He had an infectious sense of humor and laugh, which would cause everyone he met to walk away with a little more joy in their life from knowing him. He was a voracious reader of books and magazines.  He loved going to airshows, however the largest airshow in the world, EAA Airventure in Oshkosh, Wisconsin was his favorite. He would go every year with family and friends until it became more difficult physically for him. He enjoyed dinners out with family and friends, and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Julie; son, Raymond Jr. (Steve), daughter in law Kelly, and 2 nieces and many good friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will be held in summer, with details to follow.

He served in the United States Navy from 1965 until 1968 during the Vietnam War. He was the President of Bob Ray and Associates for many years. He also led many successful years in real estate. He was loved and will be very much missed.
He is survived by his wife Juanita Lee; three children, Travis (Amy) Lee, Kasey (Tom) Mathews, Dana (Andy) Lee Masur; three step children, Chuck (Judy) Crout, Theresa (Tim Allison) Crout, Mat Chavera; six grandchildren, Cerise, Mykel, Fischer, Coleman Lee and Freya and Lucien Masur; sister in law, Britt Lee; niece, Elsa (Dan) Brinkman and great nieces, Caitlyn and Madelyn Brinkman.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Brian Lee.
A celebration of his life will be held at the McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery on June 25, 2022 at 11 am with a luncheon after.

She graduated from Woodstock High School in 1946 and attended Greg Business College in Chicago.  Joyce married Benjamin Rigby on May 7, 1949.  Survivors include four sons:  David (Kathie) of Johnsburg; Paul (Carol) of Glenview; John (Marla) of Woodstock; and Mark (Jennifer) of Woodstock.  Also surviving are 11 grandchildren; Benjamin, Kristin (Jesse Messerli), David (Lauren), Michael (Elizabeth), Stephen (Karis), Elizabeth (Greg Masching), Ryan (Jeff Mousty), Nicole Huiras, Jessie (Jay Justice)j, Amy, Christopher and 24 great-grandchildren.
Joyce was a member of the Woodstock Municipal Band from 1943-1957, sitting in the first chair of the clarinet section.  She represented Woodstock in the Miss Illinois Contest in 1946.  Joyce was an active Cub Scout Den-Mother for many years and a noon-hour aide at Clay St. School for over 30 years.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Woodstock serving on the Board of Trustees, sang in the Choir and was Church Secretary for many years, a former member of the Memorial Hospital Women's Auxiliary, ER volunteer and chaired the Senior Reassurance Line for many years.  Joyce also served as an Election Judge for over 30 years.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and enjoyed winters in Bonita Springs, FL and summers volunteering at Timberlee Christian Center in East Troy, WI.

Obituary Preview: Sigrid Anna Eidok, 62, of Woodstock, Il, passed into the loving arms of her Savior on January 18, 2022, at Kishwaukee Hospital, Sycamore IL, with her husband and son at her bedside, comforting and assuring her how much she was loved and appreciated.
Sigrid was born to Roderick and Emma Peterson on October 5, 1959, in Harvard, IL, and grew up on the family dairy farm on Coon Trail Road west of Harvard. She graduated from Harvard High school in 1977 and from Gateway Technical College in 1984. On November 5, 1983, she met Victor Eidok on a blind date, and that was the beginning of a lifelong love story of 38 years.
After a second date two weeks later, there was no looking back. Three months later, they were engaged and united in marriage on June 16, 1984, at the Harvard Sportsman Club.
Sigrid and Victor started their life together in Woodstock at a small house on Kimball Ave. In 2002 they designed and built a new family home on the north side of Woodstock. Sigrid was an active partner in the family construction company Esto Builders for many years. She was involved in the Heartland home school network, teaching and mentoring many young people on their way to well-grounded, successful lives. Their son Hans was born in 1990, and Sigrid dedicated herself to nurturing Hans and preparing him for life with Christian education and a safe, secure home life. She was a devoted wife, mother, and a lasting friend to many. Her faith and sweet, caring nature were a continuing blessing to her husband and son.
Sigrid is survived by husband Victor, son Hans, sisters Brenda (Jeff) Klein and Sylvia (Darrell) DeRemer, nephew Roderick (Rachel) Klein, nieces Casey DeRemer and Rebecca (Zach) Reinke (daughter Bethany), and sister in law Helga (Kurt) Peipenbrock. Sigrid's mother, Emma Peterson, passed away on January 19, 2022. She was preceded in death by her father, Roderick Peterson.
Visitation will be at the Arising Church at 10:00 am Saturday, February 19, 2022. 211 N Virginia St, Crystal Lake IL 60014, and a Funeral Service officiated by Pastor Neil Lindwall at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery, W 8830 Cemetery Rd Sharon WI.

He was born on July 3, 1931in Grinnell, Iowa to William E. and Genevieve (Vahrenwald) Godfrey. He married Marilyn Gunderman on January 29, 1955.
He was a United States Marine serving during the Korean War in the First Marine Division. He received a degree in Engineering and worked for the State of Illinois Highway Department. Bill was a model train hobbyist and an avid train spotter. He also enjoyed reading about military history. He and mom enjoyed traveling around the United States in search of antiques for mom and trains for dad’s railroad photo collection.
He is survived by three children, two sons, Terrence (Kimberly Biehl) and Lawrence (Peg) Godfrey; a daughter Elizabeth (Rodger) Larson; two grandchildren William (Jane O’Brien) and Amanda (Casey) Truelove; five great grandchildren Miriam, Catherine, and John Henry, Lucy Truelove and Alder Godfrey.
He was preceded in death by his wife and a brother Alan Godfrey.

Don worked for 32 years at Commonwealth Edison becoming a crew leader. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He enjoyed woodworking, furniture repair and fixing antiques from his wife’s shop in Ridgefield. He loved to play golf and work at Marengo Ridge Golf Course.
He was a member of The Moose in both Harvard and Woodstock. He was involved in the Lion’s Club in Woodstock and the Harvard Sportsman’s Club. He was loved by all that knew him and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife of 70 wonderful years, Theresa Wendt; a son Kurt (Joy) Wendt; two grandchildren Kara Lay and Tyler (Lindsey) Wendt; four adored Great Grandchildren; a daughter in Law Terrie Wendt and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Donald Wendt Jr.; a daughter Deborah; two brothers and a sister.
A service is being planned for a later date.

Beanie grew up in Woodstock and attended St. Mary’s School; and graduated from Marian Central Catholic High School in 1973.
Beanie had a loving and caring heart. She took endless joy in raising her own children. She ran an in-home daycare for several years, and loved those children like her own. She was a proud Grandmother “Oleo-B”, known for late night milkshakes and late night TV, a loving wife to Don, and the sweetest dog owner to her “baby” Bailey. She spent the last years of her life caring for her mother, Geraldine, time she truly cherished.
Beanie was the life of the party; the last to arrive and the last to leave. You were lucky to be her partner in Euchre, often on the winning team. Beanie had a deep connection to music; you could find her cutting a rug on the dance floor or belting out the lyrics to her favorite Tom Petty songs.
Beanie radiated light and warmth. To say she cared deeply for her loved ones is an understatement. She was empathetic, patient, and kind; a listening ear and a shoulder to lean on. She never missed a birthday or a beat. She will be so deeply missed by all who knew her.
Beanie is survived by her loving husband Don, children, Ryan (Jenny) Kleinschmidt, Heidi Kleinschmidt (Michael), Julie Kleinschmidt (Nathan); her mother Geraldine; Grandchildren, Connor and Abby Kleinschmidt and Jackson Cagala; brothers and sisters, Jerry “Mike” (Rose) Donahue John (Denise) Donahue, Sarah “Sally” Schaefer, Lynn (Philip) Stewart, James Donahue and David (Rhonda) Donahue, mother-in-law Eloise Kleinschmidt, sister-in-law Janet (Glen) Nesbo and many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and her loving and faithful dog Bailey.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Donahue, her father-in-law William Kleinschmidt, and her Goddaughter, Jenny Schaefer.
