Nathan Craig Foster - August 01, 1955 - December 24, 2023

Departed: 12/24/2023 (Glenpool)
Obituary Preview: Nathan Craig Foster left this world and joined his wife, Martha, shortly before Christmas in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 68. He was born to Helen and Joe Foster on August 1, 1955, in Plainview, Texas. He was the fourth of seven children. Nathan grew up in Tulia, Texas. He moved to Gruver, Texas, in 1970 with his family and finally settled in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, in 1972. He graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1973 and then attended Okmulgee Technical School, where he learned to be a mechanic. He spent most of his adult life as an auto mechanic, but in 2007, he took the opportunity to switch careers and work for the Tulsa Glass Plant. When the glass plant closed, he was offered retraining and
graduated from Tulsa Community College in December of 2013 with an associate degree in applied science accounting specialist. He used that degree and his long career as a mechanic to work in the rental car industry, taking care of their fleet of cars.
Nathan was blessed with a sweet blonde-haired baby girl on June 1, 1978. Misty Dawn was his whole life for many years. As a single father, he worked hard to make sure she had everything she needed, especially love. Even though he met Martha when Misty was a baby, they were friends for decades before they began dating. They finally married on August 19, 1992, in a simple ceremony in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Nathan was a voracious reader and particularly loved Dean Koontz and Stephen King. He was enthralled by trains and loved collecting model trains. He was excellent at woodworking and discovered the joys of making jewelry in the last decade. Any of the women in his life could be sure they were getting lots of earrings, especially around Christmas, and Martha was the happy recipient of many watch bands and bracelets. He often talked about wanting all the women he loved to be in his "earring of the month
club." However, jewelry-making was mostly forgotten after the birth of his great granddaughter, Kayelee.
He and Martha spent many days when Kayelee was an infant babysitting, and their house slowly became overrun with toys, hair ties, and every silly shirt Nathan found to buy her. After Martha's passing, Kayelee became his light, and he doted on her endlessly. He picked her up every Tuesday from school so he could spend the evening hanging out with his best friend and the girl who loved him above everyone else.
Nathan was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Joe Foster, and his wife, Martha Foster. He is survived by his brothers and sisters: J. Anthony Foster, Jr. (late wife Linda) of Ft. Davis, Texas; Tamara Blount (late husband Charley) of Ft. Worth, Texas; Kerry Foster (wife Sandra) of Gruver, Texas; R. Suette Freerksen (husband David) of Waxahachie, Texas; Al Foster (late wife Sue) of Houston, Texas; and Vincent Foster (wife Elise) of Middletown, Connecticut. Nathan is also survived by his daughters Misty Campbell (husband Mike) of Peyton, Colorado; Donna Gwin (husband Jimmy) of Beggs, Oklahoma; and Diane Waffle (husband James) of Bixby, Oklahoma. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and countless nieces and nephews. After the passing of Martha, Nathan expressed his desire to not have a funeral service.
We ask that instead of sending flowers you send his loved ones your prayers or good thoughts. Cards with memories, memories shared on here, or on his Facebook page are always welcome. If we decide to have a memorial service we will make sure all his friends and family are notified.

Obituary Preview: Connie Ann Collier (Smith) of Glenpool, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023, at the age of 70 years. Connie was born on October 31, 1952, in Aurora, Colorado, to her loving parents, Waymon and Roseann Smith.
Connie's journey through life was marked by her unwavering faith and resilience. She had a deep and abiding relationship with Christ, having surrendered her life to Him at a young age. Her strong Christian convictions were a guiding force throughout her life, and she was an active member of Central Baptist Church in Aurora, Colorado, where she met her future husband, Garvin, at the age of 14.
At just 16, Connie faced the challenge of being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, a battle she shared with a close friend. Her father's caring nature shone through as he doted on the girls, making them soda and ice cream. Connie continued to navigate the complexities of living with insulin-dependent diabetes, displaying immense courage and strength.
After graduating from Hinkley High School in Aurora, Connie embarked on a career as a Medical Assistant, working in various healthcare settings. The couple eventually relocated to a beautiful home on 10 acres in Mounds, Oklahoma, where they continued to build a life together. However, Connie's health took a turn after a heart attack in 2015, leading to complications and multiple surgeries. She could no longer manage the stairs in their home, necessitating a move to Glenpool.
Despite her health challenges, Connie made friends easily and was beloved by everyone she met. She found joy in stamping, creating intricate greeting cards with cutting machines. One of the great joys in her life was her beloved dog, Penelope, a cherished companion throughout her journey.
In the month of October, Connie's health deteriorated, leading to several hospitalizations and stays at various healthcare facilities. She spent her last moments at Clarehouse, where she found peace.
