Helen J. Cafone, 93, of Toms River, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 17, 2024. Born in Sayville, Long Island to Alice (Ritacco) Woodhouse and Edward J (Eddie) Woodhouse, she moved to Nutley, NJ at an early age. She was a dedicated and loving Wife to her husband of 71 years, Gerard (Jerry) Cafone, and a caring Mother and Grandmother. In her professional life, after graduating from the Felt and Tarrant School of Comptometry she was employed by the Continental Can Company and Eastwood Neally Company and Nutley Shop Rite, where she worked for many years in an office capacity.
Married in 1953, Helen and Jerry moved to Sparta, WI when Jerry was drafted. Upon discharge from the Army, they returned to Nutley to raise their family. In 1965, Jerry’s job relocated them to Schaumburg, Illinois for 2 years after which they returned to Nutley where they resided until 1977 before moving to Waretown NJ. They retired to Toms River, NJ, in 2002.
Avid Mets fans, Helen and Jerry traveled to Spring Training in Port St. Lucie, FL, every March, for 30 years, where they met many players and had wonderful memories with other Mets fans. Helen enjoyed crafting and loved to decorate her home for the holidays. She hosted many Christmas celebrations with family and friends. All were always welcome. Helen was an avid reader and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Helen is survived by her loving husband Jerry, son Jerry and daughter-in-law Lynne (Larcara), Lavallette, NJ; son Niel and daughter-in-law, Toni (Hughes), Egg Harbor City, NJ; grandchildren Jeff and wife Melissa (Rosenthal), San Diego, CA; Gina Cafone, Galloway, NJ; Dana (Cafone) Wescoat and husband Joe, Southport, NC; and a special cousin “niece”, Darlene (Garofalo) Babikian, Southport, CT; and lifelong friend Elsie (Baldino) Cirigliano, Nutley, NJ.

He was a police officer for Newark PD then later West Orange PD.Francesco was also a very proud veteran who served in the Vietnam war from ages 18 to 21 years of age. Francesco will always be remembered as a loving and caring father and husband and grandfather who had a tremendous amount of pride in his family and his work ethic. Francesco is survived by his beloved wife Sally Biello, his children Bernadette Lang (Dennis), Trisha Donaldson (Kevin) and Frank, brothers Michael, John Paul, and David Biello, sister Laura Donna, and two grandchildren Jimmy and Patrick. Francesco will be missed deeply.

Obituary Preview: CLIFTON - Richard Allan Sommese, 69, born on July 21, 1954, passed away in his childhood home on May 4, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved son of Robert and Gloria (Sicignano) Sommese, both of whom preceded him in death.
A lifelong resident of Clifton, Richard graduated from Clifton High School in 1972. He pursued his education at William Paterson University, earning his Bachelor's degree in business and later obtaining a Masters in tax accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He embarked on a successful career as Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Aster Nuts and as Vice President & General Manager for Carapelli Olive Oil before venturing into entrepreneurship. As a Realtor, he ran a busy office where he devoted himself tirelessly, working 365 days a year.
In addition to his work ethic, Richard was known for his quiet yet impactful generosity, wry sense of humor, and his love for Cousin Brucie and the oldies from the original classic music station 101.1 WCBS-FM.
Richard leaves behind his sister, Susan Sommers, his brother, Robert Sommese, Jr., and his wife Mary, as well as nieces Ursula Colombo, Melissa Petruska, Robin Sommese, and Kristin Sommers. He cherished his close friendships, notably with Maria Warner, and found solace in their companionship. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Born to the late Fulvio and Mary (nee Martino) DiNorcia. Frances married the late Ronald Czesniewski in 1990. Prior to her retirement she was a medical billing coordinator with Physicians Management in Rochelle Park. Frances was a parishioner of Holy Family church for over 30 years. Left to cherish her memory is her loving sister Mary Ann and brother-in-law George. Devoted Aunt to Jennifer Vernieri, Christopher Vernieri, Melissa Strat and Dominick DiNorcia. She was also a very loving great Aunt to Caydence Vernieri and Seneca Vernieri. She was predeceased by her husband, parents, and one brother Salvatore DiNorcia.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday May 8th 2024 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Holy Family church on Thursday, May 9th 2024 at 10:30 AM. Vistors will be received at 9:30am, at the S.W. Brown and Son Funeral Home.
Interment will take place at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Montclair New Jersey.

He is survived by his son Richard M. and his wife Nancy, his grandchildren, Frank, and Richard J. He was predeceased by his siblings James P, Paul, Rudy, Wesley, Albert and Evelyn.
A mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church, 28 Brookline Avenue, Nutley on Monday, May 6, 2024, at 10:30am.

Obituary Preview: Helen Juanita Cozzarelli, 77, of Forked River, formerly of Nutley, NJ passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Gordon and Lucy Woolley. Helen was a graduate of Caldwell College and Monmouth University where she obtained her Nursing Degree. While at Monmouth University she played on the basketball team.
She worked extensively with the youth group at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church for many years and received an award for her dedication and commitment from the Archdiocese of Newark. She retired as a Registered Nurse from Mountainside Hospital in Glen Ridge. Following this she was primary surgical nurse for Dr. Robert Barblinero, of Glen Ridge.
Helen is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, Raymond R. Cozzarelli, and her brother Gordon Woolley, Jr. She was predeceased by her brother Arthur Woolley.
Visitors will be received at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Center St., Nutley. on Monday, April 22 from 1:30pm – 8pm.
The funeral procession will be on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, from 9am from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley. Followed by a Funeral Mass at approx 10 AM at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 120 Prospect St, Nutley. For the info of those not in the procession, the Mass will start at approx. 10 AM.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Gina (Muccigrosso) Domenick who were high school sweethearts and have been together for 42 years. His son, Angelo Domenick with his wife Stephanie, his daughter, Dana Domenick with her husband, Nevin Wildermuth and his daughter, Alexis Domenick. His mother Camille Domenick and his father Robert Domenick and Joyce Lacara. His brother Anthony Domenick, his wife Lisa Domenick and his sister Maria Merola and brother-in-law Andy Merola. His sister and brother in laws Joy and Jeremiah Colon, Michael and Andrea Muccigrosso and Roseann and Vincent Testa, along with his nephews and nieces, Anthony, Andrew, Domenick, Patrick, Joseph, Olivia, Stella, and Mila and also survived by his cousins. Angelo was predeceased by his beloved nephew Dylan Domenick, and his father-in-law Sonny Muccigrosso.
Angelo was a graduate of Monmouth University and The Culinary Institute of Hyde Park. He was the owner of Truffle Caterers located at the Angelo “Skee” Domenick Amvets Post 26 for 28 years and Angelo’s Gourmet Eatery also located in Belleville. His passion was to cook and make all kinds of food for his family and friends. He loved spending time and interacting with his customers and friends at his store Angelo’s in Silver Lake. Aside from cooking, his other passion was going hunting and spending time down the shore with his family in Long Branch especially their Memorial Day weekend traditions. Visiting hours are Thursday April 11th from 3-8 PM at S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home.

Southard, Kevan and his wife Sherri and Helen Cammon and her husband Bill, her grandchildren, Chris and his wife Morgan, Matt, Joe, and Olivia. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Gladys Burton.
Visitors will be received Friday April 12, 2024, from 10am-1pm at St. Gregory's Episcopal Church 480 S Beverwyck Rd, Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ 07054 with services immediately following.

Barbara loved gardening with Tom, going on coffee dates with Cait, and vacationing in Florida where she enjoyed time with Tom, Matt, Davis, Apollo, and Cait. Her great big smile melted the hearts of all who knew her.
The funeral will be Saturday April 13, 2024, at 9:00am from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley, NJ.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Valentine’s Church, Bloomfield at 10:00am.
The interment will follow at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield.
