Ryan R. Fredericks, 41, of Shippensburg formerly Summit Hill passed away Saturday January 8th at his residence.
He was born on October 2, 1980 in Allentown and was the son of Judy L. (Snyder) and Robert G. Fredericks.
Ryan was a member of Hope of Christ Presbyterian Church, Summit Hill. He was a former Sunday school teacher and elder in the church.
Ryan was a graduate of Panther Valley High School, Class of 1999.  He was the drum major of the Panther Valley Band.   He then attended Shippensburg University where he obtained a B/S in Psychology.  Ryan was also the drum major at Shippensburg University and was a founding father of Kappa Kappa Psi fraternity at Shippensburg.
He was a former member of American Fire Company #1-Lansford.  Ryan was a member of F&AM Carbon Lodge 242.  He was a past master two years in a row.
Ryan worked as a counselor for troubled youth in a detention center. He was also a night shift supervisor at Sheetz.
Ryan was passionate about music.  He was a connoisseur of Harry Potter, Star Wars, Star Trek, Avengers and Dr. Who.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents and an uncle, John Fredericks.
In addition to his parents, Ryan is survived by; sister Mallary Fredericks, Summit Hill; uncle Rick Snyder companion of Maryann Williams; several cousins.
A celebration of life service will be held at Hope of Christ Presbyterian Church, Summit Hill on Saturday January 22nd at 11 AM. Family and friends are invited to call at the church from 9-11 AM. Internment will take place following services at Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown.

He served in both the Navy and Airforce during the Korean War and Vietnam during his 21 year career.
Bernard worked the rest of his career for Schaffer Brewery in Fogelsville.
He was a member of VFW-Coaldale Post 6982. Bernard enjoyed listening to the polka’s and fishing.
He is preceded in death by; sister Geanova “Jean” Satkowsky; sister Isadora Karpa; sister Philamena Karpa-Zerbe; brother Zigmond Karpa; sister Lottie Matiao.
Bernard is survived by his brother Leonard Karpa of Coaldale.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on Wednesday April 20th at 12:30 PM at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Road, Annville PA 17003.

She was the daughter of William “Bill” Hill and the late Kimberly A. (Carroll) Hill.

She graduated from Tamaqua High School, Class of 2007 and VoTech were she studied cosmetology.
Sarah had a passion for helping those in need. She volunteered for Safer Streets for Tamaqua’s Little Feet. She helped with coat drives, loved fashion, styling hair, and remodeling her home.
In addition to being a licensed cosmetologist she currently worked as a CRS for ClearVision Health and Wellness, Hazleton.  Drug awareness and the stigma associated with it was an important part of her mission.
In addition to her mother, Sarah was preceded in death by nephew Isiah Hill; cousin James Hill; uncle Barry Hill; paternal grandparents William Hill and Bonnie Sica.
Sarah is survived by; son Gabriel; father William “Bill” P. Hill, South Tamaqua; sister Jamie Loving wife of Steve, Tamaqua; sister Megan Hill fiancé of Brandon Stahlar, South Tamaqua; sister Jessica Mushock wife of Bill, Tamaqua; brother Michael Bartholomew husband of Erin, Drums; Anthony McMahan father of Gabe, Coaldale; several nieces, nephews, aunts & uncles.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, January 15th at New Life Assemby of God, 407 Schuylkill Ave, Tamaqua at 11:00 AM.  Family and friends are invited to call from 9:30-11 AM at the church.  Internment will take place in St. Jerome’s New Cemetery, Tamaqua following services.

Annamae Polaha Wukitsch, R.N., 93, of Allentown and Lansford went peacefully with the angels to her forever home in heaven with her children by her side on August 20, 2021 .
She was the eldest child of the late Catherine (Skripek) and John Polaha of Allentown.
Annamae was a 1946 graduate of Allentown Central Catholic HS and a 1949 graduate of Sacred Heart School of Nursing. Annamae ventured to New York City to work at NY Hospital and later settled in Lansford after her marriage to George Demetriades.
While raising five children, she continued her career at the former Coaldale State General Hospital where she worked in the Silicosis Clinic treating her beloved miners and on the 5th floor. Upon retirement Annamae married Gallus Wukitsch. During their 23 years together, they were lucky enough to spend most winters as Florida snowbirds. They loved their warmth and
sunshine.
In addition to her first husband, George Demetriades and second husband Gallus Wukitsch, she was also preceded in death by; brother Bernard Polaha; brother John Polaha; sister Bernadine Baker; sister Mary Kester.
Annamae is survived by; sister, Catherine Hersh, Allentown; daughter Joan; son James husband of Jen; daughter Janet(partner to John McFadden; son George husband of Mikey; daughter Jean wife of Mark Rother; 2 stepchildren, Gallus Jr. “Chip” husband of Cindy, and Ceil wife of Chris Reigert.
She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Phyllis worked as a machine operator for Yankee Plastics and Fabri-Kal prior to retiring.  She also spent many summers helping on Bley Farms, Phineyville.
She was a member of the former St. James UCC Church, Sheppton.  She was a past president of St. James UCC Consistory and  St. James UCC Church Guild.  Phyllis was also a volunteer for Daikon Ministries, Hazleton.
In addition to being strong in her faith, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, crafting, canning, and bird watching. She was especially fond and proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by; sister Emma Kreiger; sister Elva “Lindy” Boner; sister Doris Foose; sister Bessy Beaver; sister Alice Foose; brother Wallace “Billy” Zimmerman Jr.; brother Earl Zimmerman; brother Robert “Bobby” Zimmerman. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Phyllis is survived by; son Nelson E. Clark Jr. husband of Marie, Phineyville; son David S. Clark husband of Patty, Chula Vista CA; grandson Shawn E. Clark husband of Melissa, Lansford; grandson Joshua Clark, Chula Vista CA; brother in law Thomas “Tommy” Clark husband of Theresa, Phineyville.
She is also survived by her great grandsons Charlie and Colton Clark.

Nancy grew up on Bugzie’s Mountain, Summit Hill and is a graduate of Panther Valley High School class of 1966. She began her career as a Secretary at Carbon County Vocational School and later retired after 30 years of working at Split Rock Resort in Lake Harmony.
Nancy loved picking hard shells, watching the action at her milkweed patch and continuing her Aunt’s Rooster collection.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, Christmas and her end of summer adventures with her granddaughter.  She will be dearly missed.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 13th at St. John Slovak Lutheran Cemetery, Summit Hill at 11:00 AM with Pastor Marjorie Keiter officiating.
