Mark passed away peacefully on December 23, 2023 with his family around him.   An avid Dallas Cowboys and Arkansas Razorback fan, Mark's love for football was only surpassed by his love for his family. His boys were his pride, and he often expressed his hope that they would learn from his experiences, follow the path of righteousness, and embrace Jesus Christ as he did. As Dr. Seuss once said, "To the world, you may be one person; but to one person, you may be the world." To his family and especially to his boys, Mark was the world.

His faith was an inspiration to many and his fight against cancer, a testament to his resilience and courage. His love extended beyond his immediate family, embracing his cousin Genia’s grandchildren, Emmy and Brody, as his own grandchildren. Mark's love for them was reciprocated in full, and their bond was a testament to his incredible ability to connect with people.

Charles Cripps - August 19, 1937 - December 15, 2023

Departed: 12/15/2023 (Morrilton)
Obituary Preview: Charles Cripps, affectionately known as the master of melody at Harmony Baptist Church, has strummed his last earthly tune on December 15, 2023. Born on August 19, 1937, in Springdale, AR, Charles spent his youth in the warm embrace of his parents Fred and Emma. He then spread his roots in Perryville, Arkansas, where he created a beautiful family and a thriving sod farm business.
Charles had a way of making the grass greener on every side—not just through his landscaping business but through his enchanting personality as well. His favorite time of the day was undoubtedly breakfast time, and you could find him at Lucky S Cafe , always ready with a smile and a joke to lighten the morning bustle. He had a heart as wide and welcoming as an Arkansas prairie. Charles was a man who loved deeply. His love for his family was as expansive as his love for the land he tended. His 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and his church family stood at the center of his universe.
This love was also echoed in his devotion to Harmony Baptist Church. Every Sunday, he brought together the congregation with his music. His tunes were the strings that connected everyone, just like the verse from Psalms 98:4, "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise." Charles lived this verse, making joyful noise not just through his music, but through the life he led.
Charles is survived by his children Debbie Wright, Bobby Cripps (Johnna), Kathy Crawford (Greg), and Nancy Skinkle; and his sister Jane Hunt. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Cripps; his parents, Fred Cripps and Emma Belle Brown; and his brother, Joe Cripps. We are sure there's a grand reunion happening on the other side, probably around a breakfast table with unlimited flapjacks.
We invite all who knew Charles to share their memories and upload photos to the memorial page. In remembering Charles, we keep his legacy alive, just like the green fields he loved so much. Visitation will be at the Harmony Baptist Church ,Thursday December 21, 2023 at 1:00 Funeral will follow at @ 2:00pm

David Cossey - July 28, 1960 - November 08, 2023

Departed: 11/08/2023 (Morrilton)
Obituary Preview: On November 8, 2023, we bid adieu to David Cossey, a man as humble as a hermit, as funny as a stand-up comic, and as loyal as a bloodhound. Born on July 28, 1960, in Bee Branch, AR, David lived a life that was anything but ordinary. He was a man who could chat up a storm, make anyone laugh, and never met a stranger. His knack for conversation was legendary, so much so that he could convince an Eskimo to buy a freezer.
David was a master of logistics, zipping around as a delivery driver, making sure everyone got their packages on time. But it was his off-duty pastimes that really made him shine. An auctioneer extraordinaire, David could charm the pennies out of your pocket and make you feel like you got a deal. Flea markets and thrift shops were his playgrounds, and he loved nothing more than to find a treasure, convince you it was priceless, and then go home to enjoy a hearty home-cooked meal with his beloved wife, Angela.
David was a steadfast believer in our Lord. As Acts 2:17 states, "In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams." David lived this verse every day, his spirit alive in every conversation, every joke, every auctioneer's call, and every hearty meal shared with family. He now joins his parents, Claude and Audrey Cossey, son: David Earl Cossey; three brothers and one sister in eternal rest
David is survived by his loving wife, Angela Cossey, Daughter: Cindy and husband Ras Abeselome Yahudah, Sons: Clayton and wife Julie Cossey; Eric and Jennifer Stricklin; Brothers: James Cossey, Ricky and wife Valerie Cossey; Sister: Diane Hutto, Six grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews and other friends and family.
A memorial service will be held for David on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 10:00am at Red Cup Celebration Center by Rosewood Funerals and Cremations 438 U.S. 64, Conway, Arkansas, 72032. David's life was a symphony of stories, laughter, and love.

Why are obituaries important?

Obituaries are important because they provide a way to honor and celebrate the life of the deceased, while also serving as a notification to those who knew them. They can also be a valuable resource for genealogists and historians.
