Born in Jacksonville, Florida, on December 1, 1967, Annette was a force of nature who brought laughter and a certain sparkle everywhere she went. She took her leave from us on November 10, 2023, but her spirit continues to light up our lives. Annette was an unforgettable character, a loyal friend, a generous soul, and a funny woman with a talent for making people smile.
Annette lived in Jacksonville, Arkansas, and was a proud member of the telemarketing community in the publishing industry. Her colleagues recognized her talent and her generosity, awarding her numerous accolades over her career. Outside of work, Annette was a staunch supporter of Seattle Seahawks and Razorback football, and she could lip sync Bon Jovi like no one else. She loved floating the river, attending concerts, and spending time with her friends. But what mattered most to Annette were her granddaughters, Kali Culpepper and Delta Fields. She is survived by them, her mother: Patricia Martin, Sister: Katherine Keshishian, Brother: Ronald Martin Jr., Niece: Heather Turrentine, and Nephew: Ronald T. Martin III, also her life long friend Clint Northcutt. She will be fondly remembered as a woman who brought joy into all of their lives.
Annette was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Sr., and her beloved daughter, Rivers Grunwald.
As we reflect on Annette's life, let's remember her as she was - funny, generous, loyal, and talented. In the words of Dr. Seuss, "Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened." Annette would want us to smile, to laugh, and to remember the good times. We invite you to share your memories, photos, and stories about Annette on her memorial page. Let's keep her spirit alive and celebrate the incredible woman she was. Nancy Taylor - August 06, 1955 - September 16, 2023

Departed: 09/16/2023 (Conway)
Obituary Preview: “In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And, if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, you may be also.” John 14:2-6 NKJV
My momma, Nancy Lee (Singleton) Taylor passed from this life on September 16, 2023. She went home silently and peacefully as she slept, early that Saturday morning. My momma loved the Lord with all her heart and she now lives in the Kingdom of Heaven, forever in the presence of her Lord and that of His Son and her Savior, Jesus Christ. Nancy was born on August 6, 1955 in Evansville, Indiana to Parvin August Singleton who was also born in Evansville, and Betty Ilene (Macklin) Singleton of Smith Center, Kansas. Both of her parents preceded her in death, and what a reunion they must be enjoying in God’s Kingdom!
She saw several new places in her childhood, living in Evansville, followed by a move to Memphis, Tennessee, then Little Rock, Arkansas and finally settling at Harris Brake Lake here in Perry County, Arkansas where she completed her Junior year at Perryville High School, and then her Senior year. During her time at PHS, my momma was a member of the PHS Drill Team where she showed a talent for casting her baton high into the air before catching it and twirling it between her fingers as she marched to the beat of the Mustang marching band. She received her diploma from PHS in 1973 on a very hot, and oppressively humid evening in a maroon graduation gown and matching mortarboard, and a stylish pair of heels that proved to be a good camouflage of the halter top and cut off jean shorts that she had on under her gown. And, just like that evening, momma lived life by her rules, many times doing what some would say she couldn’t. “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7 NIV
After high school, she joined the United States Air Force. She was stationed in Germany and was proud to work on the flight line as one of the very few female aircraft mechanics in the Air Force at a time when the advancements previously made by women in the military from WWII through the Vietnam War were largely due to women being largely relegated back into the kitchen by National post-wartime sentiment. As a member of the flight line, Momma was responsible for the repair and maintenance of a variety of different aircraft from fighter jets to the C-130 Hercules. When she was off duty, she took in the sights in Germany and in France. Nancy enjoyed her time overseas and she always wanted to go back to Europe, also to Egypt and Australia but, when her time in Germany was over, she missed home and so she returned stateside. That is when she met Kerry Ashcraft who was also in the USAF. They soon got married in Perry, Arkansas and were then stationed at Holloman, AFB, White Sands, Alamogordo, New Mexico, where they made their home on base. It wasn’t long before they welcomed me, their daughter, on October 15, 1976 at 11:59 PM. Momma said she had wanted a girl so bad but she was so sure that I was going to be a boy that she didn’t even pick out a girl’s name!
My parents divorced sometime later and Momma continued to work on the flight line for another year before she joined the 189th Airlift Group, and was stationed at Little Rock AFB in Jacksonville, Arkansas, working in Personal. My momma bought a house for us in Perryville and we spent many good years living there. We planted flowers in the yard. Her favorites were gladiolus. We also planted a weeping willow tree and some azaleas. Momma threw me birthday parties there and she always made every holiday special in some way. But on Christmas, she always went all out. Every year, she made pancakes from scratch with sausage or bacon before any presents got opened. In the summertime, we went to Lake Sylvia or Lake Nimrod to go swimming. During the school year it was Girl Scout functions and softball games. Momma loved music and her favorite band was The Eagles. She had every one of their records and on Saturdays, we could be found at home, listening to records from her collection of vinyl while we cleaned the house. On Sundays, she took me to church and then, after, we would load up her 1970-something Mustang with our laundry and go wash clothes at the Perry Laundromat, then it was home to watch Tarzan and whatever else played on the TV that afternoon.
She was the best momma. She raised me with so much love and affection and she worked hard to give me a good life. Momma made sure I always had what I needed and then some. She liked to travel and we went on lots of road trips. She took me to Georgia, Florida, California, Texas, and many other places I can’t recall at the moment. We stopped at every roadside oddity like we were collecting them. I guess we were. We were collecting memories.
Nancy served 8 years in the Air Force and was honorably discharged having earned, among others, the Air Force Commendation Medal, and the Meritorious Service Medal. Momma even inspired her sister, Saundra to join the Arkansas Air National Guard.
After the Air Force, Momma earned her Bachelor’s Degree as she worked as an Administrative Assistant to the Director of Human Resources at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock before accepting a position as a Systems Analyst at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. So, we moved West to the Valley of the Sun. We made many weekend visits to Prescott, Az, Apache Jct, Az, and Tombstone, Az. We went to the Salt River in the desert many times to float on tire tubes in the very cold water and visited ancient pueblos to see where the Native Americans lived long ago. Finally, after 4 years, it was time to go home.
Momma then went to work as an Office Manager where she remained for several years and then she took what would be her last full-time job as a jailer and dispatcher with the Perry County Sheriff’s Department.
She enjoyed spending time with her momma and with her 4 grandsons who she loved very, very much. She loved going to church at Harmony Baptist Church at Williams Jct, Ar where she sang in the Choir and was a member of the Mixed-Up Adults Sunday School Class and, later, she attended Journey Church in Perryville until she couldn’t anymore. Momma loved her church families at both places so much.
My momma liked to go riding in the Ouachita Mountains, down Trail 86 to Forked Mountain to go camping and to hunt quartz crystals. She collected angels and she loved the color blue. She was an avid reader and said that if a person could read, they could teach themselves anything. Momma loved going to school because, as she told me, “I’m good at it” and she was so excited when I got accepted to Baptist Nursing School in Little Rock. I asked her to go with me on sign-up day and Momma was the only parent there. She thought it embarrassed me but it didn’t because I knew how happy she was to spend that day together. Momma was so proud of me. She always encouraged me to read and to study. She expected nothing less than very good grades, good manners, and gratitude. My momma taught me how hard work and determination meant having fun later. She taught me the value of charity and of helping other people even if it meant a sacrifice on my part. My momma taught me by example: she worked hard during her life and because of that, we had a lot of fun times. My momma lived an exciting life full of adventure, experience, and, most of all, full of love.
My momma is survived by me, her daughter, Brandy Stone and Son-in-Law Stephen Durham, and her grandsons Justin, Jacob, and Jasper Stone, all of Perryville, her grandson James Stone and his partner Raven Turner and her great-grandchildren Zachary Turner, Melody Stone, Esme Stone, and Benjamin Turner, all of Conway, her brother, Ralph Singleton and his wife, Vicki, and niece Tori of South Carolina, her brother, Tommy Singleton of Little Rock, her sister, Saundra Rainey and niece April Lester of Little Rock, and her best friend of 52 years, Cheryl Brownfield and her husband Wayne of Perryville. Services will be announced as soon as the arrangements are 7finalized. "I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7 NIV

His compassionate nature ultimately led to his work in customer service with Conway Corp.
Outside of his professional life, Jonathan was an avid gamer and developed a number of strong relationships with teammates online and in real life. “CaptainCryptic” will forever live in the annals of gaming history for his record of most "Snipesings" in a single WarZone match successfully failing to open his parachute eight times in one match, and subsequently requiring his teammates revive him.
