Susan Yvonne Villa - July 01, 1950 - March 07, 2024

Departed: 03/07/2024 (Denver)
Obituary Preview: Celebration of Life Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 1:00pm Romero’s Funeral Home
4750 Tejon St. Denver, Colorado 80211
“When my life on Earth is done, I know you will be sad. For you will miss the body, That once my spirit clad. But look at this thru my eyes, and maybe you will see. There is no need for sadness, for love is surrounding me.
I am here with God in heaven. No pain, no hurt, just joy. Beauty that I cannot describe, and man cannot destroy. For all of us have purpose. Our souls are meant to grow. We teach, we learn, we suffer and then it's time to go. You may not comprehend it, but soon I hope you see that this is how God planned it. We are where we are meant to be. And when your earthly journey is finally at an end, you and I will come to be together once again.”
Susan, age 73, adoring wife to Jose Luis Garcia, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday March 7, 2024. Susan was born in Trinidad, Colorado on July 1, 1950, to Jo Amadeo Gonzales and Mary Suzie Gonzales (Martinez). She was the youngest of 5 siblings, Victor Gonzales, Madelyn Eubanks, Evelyn Valdez, and Gloria Gonzales. Unfortunately, her parents and siblings preceded her in death.
She was previously married to Jose A. Fernandez and had 6 beautiful children, Daniel Gonzales, Deana Gonzales, Maria Lara, Darlene Fernandez, Ilda Fernandez, and Jose Fernandez. Sadly, her husband Jose passed on August 27, 1986, leaving her as the matriarch of a large family with 25 grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by 3 grandchildren, Clarissa Fernandez, Valeria Fernandez, and Adalberto Jaquez Jr. She selflessly dedicated her life to her friends and family, which is where she felt most comfortable and loved. She thrived on being funny and sharing her words of wisdom to all who needed her.
We know that God is pleased to have one of His kind and generous angels back in his arms, where she belongs. She will be sorely missed by those on earth. "You can cry because I'm gone, or you can smile because I lived. You can close your eyes and pray for me to come back, or you can open them and see everything I've left for you. Your heart can be empty because you can't see me, or it can be full of all the love that we shared. You can cry, close off, feel nothing, and turn your back, or you can do as I wish; For you to smile, open your eyes, love, be strong and continue to live."

Obituary Preview: Our Beloved Mother Our thoughts of you are linked with time – a constant guiding light that led us through our childhood days – and lit the stars at night You sacrificed, and cried for us – You shared in all our fears You took our hands and walked with us, down through life’s winding years And when our footsteps faltered, our courage frayed and worn your love was there to see us through- our refuge in the storm Princess of our childhood then, Queen now of our hearts Our joys, our faith, our happiness, these thoughts of you impart We hold you close, forever close, and Mother, as we do Our hearts run across the years- around the bend,
to you.

Dan Jordán Terrazas, 71, departed from this earth on February 5, 2024 after a month’s long battle at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colorado.
