The son of Martin C. Herrera and Lidia (Guerra)Herrera. He was born May 6, 1970, in Brownfield, Texas.
Martin was a very loving man. He enjoyed being with his family and friends. He raised his children and helped with his nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He helped everyone out of love. Martin had a hobby raising Roosters.
He is survived by two sons, Martin H. Herrera and wife Nancy, Bryan Herrera and wife Liz, two daughters, Robin Herrera, Lydia Herrera all of Ulysses, Kansas; three brothers, Paul Herrera and wife Linda, Amarillo, Texas, Israel Herrera and wife Irene, Brownfield, Texas, Edward Herrera and wife Becky, Lubbock, Texas; fours sisters, Angie Herrera, Brownfield, Texas, Irma O’Bryan and husband Stacy, Manter, Kansas, Laura Herrera, Phoenix, Arizona, Liz Gardea, Midland, Texas; seven grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Martin was preceded in death by his parents.
In Lieu of flowers, a memorial was established for Martin Herrera III Education Fund for his grandchildren.

Bob attended school in Garden City KS & graduated with the class of 1966. He worked in food service sales with Procter & Gamble and F&A Food Sales. He was previously the co-owner of Sonic in Ulysses. Bob loved all sports and was an avid softball player, bowler & golfer.
He is survived by two daughters; Kim Shook, Woodstock, GA., Cindy Garoutte and husband Brandon, Columbus, MT.; two sons, Kevin Shook and wife ReLinda, Elkhart, KS., Matt Shook, Bentley, KS.; sister, Rita Hoffman, Olathe, KS.; seven grandchildren; Allison Anderson, Samantha Garcia, Braden Harbour, Dakota Shook, Kadence Shook, Colton Lumpkins, Jace Garoutte; and three great grandchildren; Emery Anderson, Avery Anderson, and Aurora Doty; stepmom, Edna Tilson, Garden City, KS.; Stepsisters, Sherri Moore and Terri Wood; stepbrother, Russell Meinert; and many other relatives and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents.

Douglas was very active in his community and was a past member of many professional organizations. He practiced law and was a school psychologist through a varied and distinguished career.
Survivors include loving wife, Vana Campbell, Ulysses, KS.; daughter, Kelli Mack and husband Kevin, Wichita, KS.; two grandchildren, Hannah, and Riley; as well as many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Rodney Campbell.
A memorial has been established for St. Paul School of Theology or First United Methodist Church, Ulysses.

Marjorie was also preceded in death by her parents and brother Keith Douglas Hampton.

Elmer W. Schmidt, 91, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at High Plains Retirement Village, Willow River Memory Unit in Lakin, Kansas.
He was born to Bernhard and Lena (Wedel) on October 11, 1929, in Newton, Kansas. Elmer was four when they moved to rural Grant County, Kansas.
Elmer and Shirley Ann Friesen were married on April 12, 1957. She preceded him in death on April 27, 2018. To this union there were four children Kristy, Loren, Kevin, and Kerry. Elmer was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Elmer was farmer all his life. He accepted Jesus as his Savior when he was 12 years of age and was baptized joined the Mennonite Brethren Church on June 25, 1944.
Elmer is survived by his four children, Kristy Enegren, Wichita, KS., Loren and Kim Schmidt, Ulysses, KS., Kevin and Connie Schmidt, New York and Kerry and Larry Finlay, Syracuse, KS; seven grandchildren, Brendon Schmidt, Keturah Schmidt, Katelynd Schmidt, Olivia Schmidt, Alyssa Nida, Trudi De Witt, Carissa Goertz; six great grandchildren, Darian Cashler, Tierney and Dalton DeWitt, Braxton and Breelynne Nida and Aslynn Goertz; two great great grandchildren, Braylee Jo Lankford and Brecklynn DeWitt; his brother Wilbert Schmidt, Ulysses, KS and other relatives and friends.
Elmer was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Albert, Dan, Harry and Carl and, sister, Verna Harms and grandsons, Brandon Chambers and Michael T. Finlay.

Marvin “Dale” Cole, age 85, of Ulysses, Kansas, passed away on August 2, 2020, surrounded by his family, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Dale was born on January 13, 1935, in Lindsay, Oklahoma to Doc and Lillie (Griffin) Cole. His stories of playing basketball, working broom corn, frailing pecans and growing up in a large family of 10 children on the farm in Southern Oklahoma provided his family many hours of entertainment and laughter. Dale graduated from Pernell High School in 1953 and attended East Central State University in Ada, OK. In 1956, he married his high school sweetheart, Shirley Ann Jones. After graduating from college, Dale taught in Ness City, Kansas, for three years before earning his Master’s degree from Oklahoma State University in 1960.
Dale and Shirley moved to Ulysses, Kansas, in August 1959. Dale embarked on a long tenure at Ulysses High School, teaching science and coaching basketball and tennis. He absolutely loved teaching and took great pleasure in sharing stories from the classroom with his family. As the years went on, he considered encounters with his former students the greatest treats. His passion for educating didn’t stop at the doors of the classroom but continued in his home where he loved to “teach” his kids and grandkids. An avid fisherman and gardener, he enjoyed camping, playing cards, and family reunions. He was also the greatest fan of the sports and activities of his children and grandchildren. He was a 60-year member of Lions Club International and a long-time member and deacon of First Baptist Church of Ulysses, Kansas.
He was welcomed to his home in Heaven by his parents, stepmother Edie Cole; brothers, Dennis Cole, Dugie Cole, Darrel Cole, and Dan Cole; and sister-in-laws Sylvia Cole and June Cole.
Dale is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Shirley Cole of Ulysses, KS; son, Mike Cole of Pampa, TX; daughters, Melisa Westerman (Mel) of Liberal, KS, and Cathy Frank (Dustin) of Omaha, NE; grandkids, Tyler Westerman (Kassi) of Snyder, TX; Taryn Dinh of Liberal, KS; Nicki Cole of Pampa, TX; Ashlyn Wayman (Tyler) of Collinsville, OK; Cody Cole of Pampa, TX; Caden Frank of Hays, KS; Kenna Frank of Omaha, NE; Michael Cole of Amarillo, TX; and Matt Cole of Amarillo, TX; and great-grandkids Ryan Westerman, Miles Westerman, Autumn Cole, Cooper Dinh and Tinslee Wayman. He is also survived by his brothers, Don Cole (Madelyn) of Gallup, NM; Darvis Cole (Phyllis) of Norman, OK; Dewayne Cole (Carla) of Lindsay, OK; and sisters Della Cobb (Gene) of Marlow, OK; and Delma Lou Hall (Woodrow) of Holdenville, OK.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, August 8, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Ulysses, Kansas, with Reverend Steve Swann and Pastor Jay Mykytuik presiding. Interment of ashes will be at the family cemetery in Foster, Oklahoma at a later date yet to be announced. Anthony (Tony) Riedel, 92, died February 26, 2020.
He was born October 19, 1927, in Yocemento, Kansas, son of Alex and Anna Riedel.
Tony was raised in Ellis, Kansas and moved to Johnson in the early 40's.
On October 25, 1948, he married Lucille Kippes.
Tony farmed with R.H. Trostle for over 50 years, after which he retired.
He will be remembered as an accomplished carpenter, building numerous pieces of furniture for family and friends.
Survivors include daughter Teresa McGregor, daughter-in-law Rose Riedel, brothers Alex, Paul and Joe, and grandchildren Brandon, Chyna, Myriah, and Orion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lucille, son Michael, sister Mary Ann, and brothers Alvin, Richard, Ted, Alfred, Elmer, and Eugene.
A private internment is planned.
Friends may call at Tony's home to visit with friends and family members from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday March 7.

Patricia and Franklin Dean Sewell were married on December 18, 1956 in Hugoton, Kansas. To this union were five children, Theresa, Beverly, Jeffrey, Peggy and Troy.
She was a member of the Ulysses Church of Christ.
She enjoyed living out in the country and loved her family. Her hobbies were playing cards, camping, collecting coins & antiques and watching NCIS. She enjoyed 4-H with her children when they were young.
She was also an avid reader.
Survivors include two sons, Jeffrey Lynn Sewell, Ulysses, KS., Troy Dean Sewell and wife, Roxanne, Olathe, KS.; a daughter, Peggy Suzanne Lamberson, Salina, KS.; a brother, Stephen Burrows; eight grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and many relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Franklin on July 4, 2002, two daughters, Theresa Kay Munkres, Beverly Ann Metcalf; son-in-law, Dave Lamberson and Clay "Tex" Metcalf; brother, William Eugene (Billy) Burrows; great-granddaughter Emma Louise Maggard.

Joshua was born to Shane and Denny Eslick, December 16, 1981, Rawlins, Wyoming.
Joshua attended school in Wamsutter, Wyoming and moved to Lakin where he graduated in 2000. He then attended Northwest Kansas Technical College where he graduated in 2002 as a certified welder.
Joshua loved his job, traveling, listening to music, his dog Achilles, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. Joshua had a heart of gold, a contagious smile, and a family that loved him. There was never a dull moment when he was around.

Tania Louise McNabb, 69, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at St. Catherine Hospital, Garden City, Kansas.
Tania was the daughter of Maynard and Margaret (Green) McCalmont, she was born January 14, 1950, Garden City, Kansas.
She and Dan McNabb were married January 2, 1972, United Methodist Church, Sublette, Kansas. They celebrated 47 years of marriage. To this union their where two children Jay and Amanda. They lived in Sublette many years raising their children. She was very active with her children and their activities. She loved her family and they enjoyed going on ski trips together. Later years, Dan and Tania went on Motorcycle trips with their friends. Grandchildren became a high light of her life and loved to have them around her.
She graduated from Fort Hays University with a Master’s in education with Speech. She worked for High Plains Education for almost 46 years. She loved her job helping children.
She is survived by her husband, Dan McNabb, Ulysses, KS.; son, Jay McNabb and wife Shanna, Oberlin, KS.; Amanda McNabb, Ulysses, KS; mother-in-law, Georgia McNabb, Sublette, KS.; sister-in-law, Debbie Huber and husband Jim, Garden City, KS., five grandchildren, Adam, Rylee, Dylan, Aven and Tripp.
She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 25, 2019, First United Methodist Church, Ulysses, KS, 11 AM and graveside service will be at Haskell County Cemetery, Sublette, KS on Monday, November 25, 2019, 2 PM with Pastor Todd Guinn.
A memorial has been established for Ulysses School USD 214 Activity fund. Memorials may be mailed to Robson Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Ulysses, KS 67880.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 23, 2019, 12 PM to 8 PM and Sunday, November 24, 2019, 2 PM to 8 PM at Robson Funeral Home, Ulysses.
