Susan was valedictorian of the class of 1967 at Mount Vernon High School.

She has been with her life companion and best friend, Henry “Pat” Underwood for over twenty-five years.

Susan worked in the banking field for many years in Mount Vernon, enjoying the challenging work and her customers. Her real joy was playing cards and marbles with her many friends, in Ohio and in their home in Florida.

Susan will be deeply missed by Pat; son Clint (Dana) Turner; many beloved cousins; dear friend Kathy (Roger) Yarman; and beloved dog Cleo.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather John Korns.

Friends may call Friday, June 17th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home- Mount Vernon Chapel, Mount Vernon.  Memorial and committal services will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Dave Matos officiating.  Burial will be at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens. Obituary Preview: Ondalee Roberts-Sipe, 71, of Mount Vernon, was called home by her heavenly Father on Monday, May 9, 2022.

Onda was born October 17, 1950, in Bellefontaine, Ohio to Everett and Margaret {Hatcher} Watkins.

Onda graduated from Fairlawn High School in Sidney, Ohio.

She married her best friend, Roy Sipe on May 18, 2001.  Roy made his way to heaven on April 10, 2022.

For many years Onda provided safe and loving daycare for many children in her community.   After retiring from being a daycare provider, Onda was a paraprofessional for Mt. Vernon City Schools.  Her entire career focused on the care of children.

Onda lived her life to its fullest.  Onda and Roy were always busy doing something fun. They loved spending time with their family and friends, traveling, dancing, and trips in their motorhome.  She will be remembered for her faith in God, her kindness, and generosity.

Onda was a lifelong member of The Church of the Nazarene.  She attended Lakeholm Church of the Nazarene and The Church of God.

Onda will be deeply missed by her daughter Lori (Tim) Lybarger; grandchildren Collin Lybarger, Rylin Lybarger, Seth Roberts, Annabelle Roberts, Max Roberts, and Lullabelle Roberts; brother Ken (Elayne) Watkins; nieces Lynsey (Curtis) Patrick, Amanda (Darin) Prince, Bethany (Brent) Hohenberger, and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ondalee was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and beloved son Sean Michael Roberts.

Friends may call Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at 13160 Henry Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050. James was born December 26, 1941, in Sparta, Ohio to Clovis and Virginia Del {Boyd} Thurston.

After graduating from Centerburg High School, He completed basic training in the United States Air Force.

He married Shirley Stiffler on August 5, 1967.

James worked for Weyerhaeuser for over 42 years.  He retired in March of 2008. Shirley and James attended Green Valley Southern Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, but most importantly spending time with his family.

James will be deeply missed by his wife Shirley; children James Michael (Karla) Thurston and John Clovis (Mark) Thurston; grandson Devin; brothers Jerry Thurston and Eugene “Gene” Thurston.

James was preceded in death by his sister Ruthanne Miller.

Obituary Preview: Donna Frances Priest (nee Baxter) passed away at home, unexpectedly, on January 22, 2022. She was born on October 17, 1948, in Brownwood, TX to Frank and LaDonne {Mabry} Baxter. Before happily settling down with her husband David in central Ohio, for most of her life she called the suburbs of Fort Worth home. Donna raised three beautiful children, Jeffrey, Jeremy, and Jessica. She was also stepmother to David's only son, David Jr. Her children were the highlight of her life. She also had a wonderful way with animals, always being sure to have a house full of dogs and at least one cat. Aside from her children, her greatest contribution was an affinity for caring for those less fortunate. In addition to serving as an early childhood teacher’s aide in the Hurst-Euless-Bedford School District for many years, she was quick to care for a neighbor in need or lend a hand of support to a friend. She also never missed a good garage sale. Donna was also known for her incredible homemade fudge, which she made every year for Christmas and sent out to all her family and friends. Donna’s giving nature continued with her passing.

Donna is survived by her husband, David Priest, Sr., of Centerburg, OH, as well as her three children, Jeffrey Johnson of Indianapolis, IN, Jeremy Justice of Phoenix, AZ, Jessica Justice of San Diego, CA, and her step-son, David Priest, Jr., of Mount Vernon, OH. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jack Johnson, of Muncie, IN, Olivia Johnson of Denver, CO, her nephew, David Perkins, of Euless, TX, and her step-grandson, Austin Priest, of Mount Vernon, OH. Donna was preceded in death by her younger brother, Bill Baxter, of Fort Worth, TX, and by her younger sister, Marce Perkins, of Euless, TX.
