Mary was born November 9, 1938, in Washington CH to the late Isaac Sr. and Melvina (Wilson) Lightle. Mary was a retired LPN, a job which she truly loved. Mary always had fun traveling. She also enjoyed discussions and spirited debate about politics.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Donald Howland, a son, James A. Howland. Grandsons, Ian A. and Jason D. Howland, 4 sisters and 5 brothers.
Mary is survived by her children, Donald D. and Larry Dean Howland, Kimberlyn (Chuck) Pendegraft, Anita (Chris) Ellis, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Rick was born December 5, 1964, in Washington CH to the late Oscar and Mildred (McNeal) McKinney. He was a graduate of the Washington Senior High School. Following high school, Rick accomplished a lifelong dream of becoming a paramedic. Working on the ambulance was his passion and he enjoyed it every day. Rick like camping and being outdoors in general. He loved to cook and prepare creative meals that he and others could try.
Along with his parents, Rick was preceded in death by sisters, Joyce Pierce and Shirley Bethel, and by brothers, Oscar “Fuzz” McKinney and Randy “Hippie” McKinney.
Survivors include his sisters, Sharon (Gary) Watson, Vickie (Dan) Sheets, Robin McKinney (Ronald Forsha), and Lisa Ellerbee. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and his many friends, including lifelong friend Randy Mead and his canine companion, Brutus.
Family and friends will gather to pay their respects at Highlawn Cemetery on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 11am.

Obituary Preview: Linda Marie (Willett) Lee, 42, of Washington CH passed on Saturday, April 2, 2022, as the result of a traffic accident.
Linda Marie was a life long survivor. Those who knew her described her as determined, strong-willed, caring, independent, motivated, compassionate, but most of all selfless. She was a phenomenal mother with a heart of gold. Linda was an avid supporter of domestic violence awareness, while providing love and support to those who had been impacted. She reminded many of us to “Rock our purple” during the month of October. Linda’s continuous hunger for knowledge allowed her to serve the community in many ways. For those of you who didn’t know, she was even the “Spelling Bee Champ” in Middle School. Linda was known to be the life of the party. She enjoyed traveling, Sunday dinners, spending time with her fur babies, “Honey and Zaylie,” Starbucks, and attending her children’s activities. She was an Auntie to many and loved by all. She was a loyal friend to her #lifers and a special member of the McGraw family. If she was here today, she would say, “Stay strong and do your best.”
Linda was preceded in death by grandparents, Jacob and Virginia “Jenny” Oliver, mother figure, Phyllis “Jeanie” Prater, Stepfather, Bob Oty, a special friend, Scott Duffy, and a fur baby, Frita.
Surviving are her mother, Martha Karber; father, Stephen Willett; husband, Derrick Lee; children, Tyrrell Gray, Marriah McGraw, Dodge McGraw (Lilian Bunner), Haven McGraw (Francisco Gonzalez); stepchildren, Darrien, Jalynn, and Daezhar Lee; siblings, Wanda, Steve "JR", and Joey Willett, Courtney Cook, Corey, Jaime, Jason, and Nelson Prater; uncles, David, Norman, and Billy Oliver, nieces and nephews, Trever, Shelby, and Aaliyah Prater, Megan, Kennedy, and Danica Haithcock, Jasmine Chandler, Jenny Cook, Carter Conley, Abigail Berberich, and Norah Frederick. She also leaves her many cherished friends.
A visitation will take place on Thursday, April 7th, from 3 to 5pm and again from 6 to 8pm at the Crossroads Christian Church. The funeral is planned at 1pm on Friday, April 8th at the Crossroads Christian Church with Minister Phillip Collie, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.

Doug was born June 1, 1958, in Columbus, Ohio. Following high school, he served his country in the US Army.
Doug owned and operated AAA Health Care, a business he started and built over 35 plus years. He installed elevators and lifts to provide handicap accessibility to people in their homes. He enjoyed all the families he worked with, but especially the local veterans.
Doug loved traveling to many different places and Nascar Races, and he was also a radio dispatcher for Greenfield Area Life Squad for over 10 years.
He had a passion for Street Rods and building them from scratch with the help from his friends and grandkids.
Doug loved life and tried to live it to the fullest, but most of all he loved his grandkids and Stella.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herschel Maynard and Betty Jean (Adams) Smith, and a brother Donnie Maynard.
Surviving is his loving wife, Susan (Wisecup) Maynard, whom he married October 02, 1999; daughters, Tabby Maynard, Jaime (Sam) McDaniel, and Stella; step children, Daniel Breakfield Jr., Misty (Jimmy) Oyer, and Josh (April) Breakfield; grandchildren, Noah Ardrey, Kennedy and Maverick McDaniel; step grandchildren, Ethan Hubbell, Tyler Dewitt, ShiAnne (Jake), C.J., and Sierra Kyle, Rebecca and Bradley Oyer, Kylie (Tyler Darbyshire) and Austin Shadley, Trinisen (Baxter) Wagner, Austin, Danielle, Rylee, Sebastian, Joshua, Hayden and Nathaneel Breakfield; great grandchildren, Emery and Carter Ross, Aurora Wagner, and Cario Darbyshire; and siblings, Greg Maynard and Angie (Randy) Friend. Eldiva and her husband owned and operated Jackson’s Marathon gas station in Good Hope for many years.  Eldiva was a devoted wife to her late husband of 69 years, Frank Jackson, Jr. She enjoyed cooking and was famous for her pumpkin pies. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, and she adored her grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Eldvia was preceded in death by husband, Frank J. Jackson Jr., a son Larry Jackson, a daughter, Carol Sue Jackson, grandson, Jack A. Jackson, Jr., and brothers Edwin (Eddie) Boyd, Morgan Boyd, and sisters, Mary Frances Johnson, Goldie McMurray, Dorothy M. Finch, Phyllis Smith, and Donna Sue Chenoweth.
Surviving is her children Charles (Cathy) Jackson, Darrell (Kim) Jackson and Jack (Wendy) Jackson; grandchildren, Sherry (Chris) Parker, Stacey (Mark) Newkirk, Charles S. Jackson, Michael (Amy) Jackson, Darrick (Jackson) and Monica (Will) Smith. She is also survived by great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends, including a special friend Bertha Brooks.

Mark is survived by his wife, Terrena Lynn (Whiting) Smith, whom he married October 31, 2016; son, Timothy Shelpman; daughters, Holly (Travis) Leonard, Crystal (Kenny Jr.) Groves, and Wendy (Darrel) Penwell; grandchildren, Ashley Willison (Gage Gough), Elizabeth Willison, Jarod Willison, Brittany Shelpman (Johnny Kingsland), Dakota Cox, Brandon Smith, J.J. Groves, Austin Groves, Danny Shelpman, Jr., and Dakota Shelpman; great grandchildren, Jayden Willison, Brody Willison, Louella Gough, and Everleigh Gough; sisters, Caren Whaley and Doris Secrest; brothers, Larry Smith (Karen Moore); as well as nieces and nephews. and his many cherished friends, including his fur babies, Roxy and Abby.

Eric was born in Latrobe, Pennsylvania to the late Frederick and Patricia (Snyder) Wilburn. Following High School, Eric entered the US Air Force, where he served nearly 10 years during the Desert Shield/Desert Storm Operations. Eric was an aircraft mechanic by trade and was known for being one of the best in the business. He was an avid woodworker in his spare time. He would use various wood colors to create his one-of-a-kind pieces of art.
He is survived by his sons, Jon Wilburn and Eric Wilburn, Jr.; his grandchildren, Sandra, Jordan, Edison, Barrett, and Jessica Wilburn; sisters, Natalie Appleby and Stacie Brown; a plethora of nieces and nephews, and his trusted companion Abraham.

Grace was born January 26, 1940, in Good Hope, Ohio to the late Steven and Grace (Sanders) Shubert. She was 1958 graduate of Fairfield High School and was accepted to beauty school just after. This started Grace on a long career of over 50 years as a beautician. She owned and operated the Beauty Hut in New Holland, Ohio for over 35 years. Grace was a social butterfly who had never met a stranger. She was an active 4-H parent, attending many meetings and activities. Grace enjoyed crafting in her spare time and would set up at local craft shows from time to time. She loved using her green thumb around her home to bring color and beauty to her yard. She was also an animal lover, with a special place in her heart for her dogs and an affinity to horses.
Along with her parents, Grace was preceded in death by two sisters, Stevia Whited and Betty Dice.
She is survived by her loving husband, Paul Orihood, whom she married January 28, 1961, and their daughter Cheryl (Bret) Powell. She also leaves behind a niece, Deanna (Lee) Moore, a nephew, Randall (Harriet) Dice, a great nephew, Adam Dice, God children, Olivia and Easton Haycook and their parents, Shea and Jesse Haycook, as well as her many former clients and friends.
A funeral is planned for 1pm on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at the Roberts Funeral Home in Washington Court House with Pastor Mike Hodges Officiating. Burial will follow the Milledgeville-Plymouth Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11am until the start of the service.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, including his grandmother, Gladys Alexander, with whom he shared a special bond, and a brother, Paul E. Simmons, Jr.
Along with his parents, Paul is survived by his wife, the former Amy Woods, whom he married March 2, 2002; sons, Scylar Johnson (Shyann Colter) and Eric Johnson (Alexis Thornton); grandchildren, Sophie Mae and Sterling Cole “Bubba” Thornton, and Serenity Sia Johnson,; brother, Jay (Oksana Hoover) Simmons; niece, Keanna Nikolle Simmons; nephew, Seth Allen “Fats” Simmons, Father and Mother-In-Law, Eric(Wanda) Rueppel; Father-In-Law, Douglas Woods,  Sisters-In-Law, Angel Palmer, Annette (Don) Perkins, and Melodie Woods. Gerald Wayne Evans - March 05, 1960 - February 11, 2022

Obituary Preview: Gerald Evans, 61, of Washington Court House, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2022 at Miami Valley Hospital, where he had been a patient since November 23, 2021, after a long, hard-fought battle beginning with Covid.
Gerald was born on March 5, 1960 to Geraldine (Jeri) L. (Harris) Evans and Roger L. Evans. He was a 1978 graduate of Miami Trace High School, worked in armed security and was a truck driver. His favorite position was driving cross-country in an 18-wheeler, but he also drove dump trucks. Since 2016, Gerald was a favorite driver with 3-C Cab Company, until the time of his sickness.
Mr. Evans loved his family dearly, loved sports, played basketball & softball, coached children in both (which he loved very much), and loved cars and music.  In all facets of life, he never knew a stranger.
Gerald was preceded in death by his Mother, Geraldine, a son, Tracey Allen Evans, and his grandparents, Marybelle and Elmer Harris of Bloomingburg, and Mary Ragland of Springfield, and a dear uncle, Virgil Bennett.
Remaining to treasure his memory are his father, Roger (Sharon) Evans; his wife, Caren Mowery-Evans, whom he married July 1, 2000; children, Onesti and Brandy Evans, and Christina Frisby; grandchildren, Justyce and Keyanne Simmons, Hailey Virgin, Breanna Bowman, and Toni West; 3 great grandchildren; a sister, Rhonda (Rodney) Jackson, his aunt, Vivian (Gerald) Thomas; uncles, Gene (Brenda) Harris and Curtis (Kathy) Harris, special long, long-time friends/family Dean (Nancy) Robinson, Dean (Barbara) Faris, Kenny (Melissa) Upthegrove, and a host of cousins and many dear, sweet friends.
A funeral service is planned for 6pm on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at the Roberts Funeral Home in Washington Court House, Ohio, with Bishop Ronald Logan and his father, Pastor Overseer Roger Evans, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4pm until the start of the service.

Christopher Gray - March 23, 1948 - February 10, 2022

Chris was born March 23, 1948, in Bloomingburg, Ohio to the late Eugene Sr. and Eulala (Harris) Gray. He was a member of the Miami Trace High School class of 1966. Following graduation, he joined the US Air Force where he served his country during Vietnam. After returning home, he worked at the Kroger Bakery for a short time before joining the team at Cortec, where he finished out a 35-year career. In his recent years, Chris had become a napping specialist, when he wasn’t watching Westerns or playing MLB Show on the PlayStation. He was an avid fan of both the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. He never lied but was known to “stretch the truth” from time to time. All in all, he was just a genuine man who loved spending time with his family.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by children, Misti and Shawn Gray.
He is survived by his wife, Cricket Gray whom he married on October 10, 1991; children, Kristi Gray (Mark Saxton), Von (Kirstyn) Gray, Evan (Kayla) Gray, Chunk Gray (Patricia Root), and his fur kid Prince; grandchildren, Christopher Gray (Joshlyn Fox), Mackenzie Gray, Jasmine (Ethan) Sheppard, Brandon Gray, Courtney (Kyle) Lower, and fur grandkid Caesar; great grandchildren, Eli, Willow, Hannah, Braxton, Miah, Wyatt, Mason, Mackenzie, Erin, Kamdan, and Ava; and a brother, David (Jackie) Gray. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family, and a host of friends, including a special friend, Dean Robinson and everyone who knew him as Grandpa Chris.

Dorothy was born July 5, 1921, in Madison County the daughter of Harry and Frances (Brown) Turner. She had lived in Fayette County since 1941. She had worked various jobs including Arts Candy Factory for 19 ½ years and API during World War II. She was devout in her faith and had been a member of the Good Hope Methodist Church since 1981. Dorothy’s favorite hobbies were reading and sewing. She made nearly 200 lap blankets, which she donated to several churches and hospitals.
Along with her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Gerald Roberts, who passed April 5, 1999, 2 sisters, Betty Wise of Baldwin Park, CA and Elizabeth Hunter of Plain City, OH and her beloved niece and nephew Judy and Bob Detweiler.
She is survived by her great niece and caretakers Robin (Ron) Riley and great nieces, Allison Baker and Edie Kay Jacobs, Gloria Mossbarger, with whom she made her home, and her loving church family.
The Funeral will take place at 11am on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at the Good Hope United Methodist Church with Pastor John Silveous officiating. Burial will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery. Obituary Preview: Charles David “Doodle” Ward, 66, of Washington CH passed away on January 6, 2022, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Charles was born June 22, 1955, in Dayton, Ohio to the late George and Mabel (Johnson) Ward. He lived in the area all his life. He enjoyed going to car shows to check out the old cars. He was a mechanic and operated a local tow company. Charles loved tinkering with cars all the time including both engine and body work. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Carolyn Queen, Janet Cane, Henry Ward, and Joe Ward. Survivors include his wife, Anna Mae (Jones) Ward, whom he married November 30, 1974; children, Melody (Dwight) Fox, Anna (Tommy) Hodge, and Charles Jr. (Kristina) Ward, all of Washington CH; grandchildren, Skylar Fox, Joshlyn Fox, Michael Ward, Shyann Bartruff, Emily Stroud, and Connor Ward; 4 great grandchildren; brothers, Melvin (Julie) Ward and Danny (Brenda) Ward; his K-9 son, Chevy Elvis Ward, and his many friends. A service will be held at 1pm on January 11, 2022, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Dodds officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery. Survivors include her parents; her loving husband, Howard Sandefur, whom she married January 4, 2020; daughter, Nikki White; grandchildren, Cheyenne Wilkins, Noah Wilkins, and Max White; brothers, Devin Powell and Hayden Armstrong; niece, Bianca Powell and her many friends.
A private family memorial will take place at the convenience of the family. Arrangement have been entrusted to the Roberts Funeral Home.

Obituary Preview: Judy Jo Mason, 73 of Leesburg, Ohio passed away on December 29, 2021, in Cincinnati following a brief illness.
Judy was born January 15, 1948, in Batesville, IN to the late Norman and Mary (Stegner) Senefeld. She graduated from Brookville High School in Indiana. Judy was a caring wife, mother grandmother, and friend. She loved spending time with her family and would spend hours in the kitchen preparing feasts for them to enjoy. Judy was a beautiful artist and enjoyed teaching and sharing her gift with many children’s classes. She spent countless hours volunteering in the community including a Child Assault and Prevention Program that she was particularly passionate about. Judy completed her EMT certification and spent many years sharing her skills with Fayette County EMS, Greenfield Area Life Squad, and the Leesburg Life Squad. She was a member of Leesburg Brush and Pallet, Leesburg Town and Country, The Highland County Republican Women, and The Highland County Christian Women’s Group.
Survivors include her husband, David M. Mason, whom she married March 23, 1968; children, Tony (Krista) Mason of Leesburg, Beth Daugherty of Chillicothe, Jennifer (Greg) Cox of Leesburg; grandchildren, Monica (Cory) Phillips, Rodney Daugherty, Morgan Mason, Wyatt (Alessia) Crothers, Michael (Jordan) Mason, Spencer Crothers; sisters, Mable (Dale) Abbott, Mary Ellen (Bill) Pierce; Step grandchildren, Gavin and Gwen Cox; great grandchildren, Ziana, Bailey, Jaxon, and Owen; as well as, several nieces, nephews, and her many friends, including her canine companion Abby.
A funeral is planned for 7pm on Monday, January 3, 2021, at the Roberts Funeral Home in Washington Court House, Ohio with Pastor Mike Hodge officiating. In keeping with Judy’s wishes, cremation will take place. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4pm until the start of the service. In lieu of flower, the family requests a donation to a charity of your choice in Judy’s Memory.

Danita was born in Fayette County to the late Norman and Verna (Rayburn) Adams. She graduated from Mount Carmel School of Nursing in 1979 and started work as an obstetrics nurse at Fayette County Memorial Hospital. Through her career she participated in 1,500 births and delivered 25 babies herself.  After 30 years of service in obstetrics, she transitioned into a position with Ohio’s Hospice of Fayette County helping those at the end of life and their families. She was one of the most warm, caring, and compassionate people you could ever meet. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and sister.
Danita is survived by her husband Dale; children, Erin (Alex) Poe of West Jefferson, Dustin Mcfadden (Carrie Steele) of Columbus; grandchildren, Jaylen and Zoey Poe; sister, Kim (Matt) Warning; brother, Chip Adams; as well as, several nieces, nephews and her many friends.
A funeral is planned for 11am on Monday, January 3, 2021, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Adam Lynch officiating. Burial will follow at the Highlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, January 2nd from 3pm-6pm. Friends are invited for a gathering at the American Legion Post 25, 1240 US-22, Washington Court House, OH 43160 at 1pm following the graveside service.

Survivors include his children, Autumn Randall of FL, Dustin (Amy) Randall of Belle Center, Danielle (Craig) Bowers of Lakeview, Deanna Cooper of Jeffersonville, and Felica Bellar of New Holland; grandchildren, Logan Conroy, Raegan Williamson, Austyn Randall, Brantley Bowers, Brayden Cooper-Smith, Broghan Cooper, Rayann Dyer, and Kynlee Dyer; sister, Karen Collum; brother, Todd (Barb) Randall; as well as a niece, nephews, and his many friends.

Loren was born in Williamsport, Ohio to the late Hubert Sr. and Helen (Ater) Smith. After high school, Loren served his country in the US Marine Corps. He had spent many years as a game operator at local carnivals and fairs. Loren enjoyed watching YouTube videos on his new phone and a good cup of coffee with the morning paper.
Loren is survived by his sons, Anthony and Jason Smith both of Washington CH; sisters, Caren Whaley and Doris Secrest; brothers, Larry Smith, Mark (Terrena) Smith; as well as nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and his many friends.
The family will receive friends at the Roberts Funeral Home in Washington Court House from 4 to 6pm on December 31, 2021. A private family burial will take place at the Dayton National Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio.

She was a member of the Unity Fellowship Church, where she assisted with the Children’s Church program. She was a thrift store regular, always looking for the deals she couldn’t pass up. Christmas was her favorite time of year. And while she knew the true meaning of Christmas, she loved shopping and buying gifts that she knew would bring happiness to her family. Jesus gave her a special gift this year, getting to celebrate his birthday with him in heaven.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tish Hughes, brothers, Anthony (Infant) and Bobiejo Harter, and sisters, Sheilan Russell, InaIee McRobie, Melody Maag, and Talea Smith.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dewayne Marker whom she married February 28, 1998; her children, Don (Jo) Knisley of South Salem, Pauline (Rodney) Knisley and Tina Knisley (Joe Marshall) all of Washington CH; grandchildren; Shelby Knisley, Donald Knisley II, Elainie (Dylan) Havens, Dewayne Knisley, Dakota Knisley, Debra Smith-Merz, Cody (Leah) Seitz, Tamika (Chris) West, Shana Lyons, Ocean Marshall; many great grandkids; sisters, Elizabeth (Hank) Adkins and Kimberly Harter; as well as, her nieces, nephews, extended family and her many friends.
A service is planned for 11am on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at the Roberts Funeral Home in Washington CH with pastor Keith Clary officiating. Burial will follow in the Highlawn Cemetery. Following high school, he was offered a professional baseball contract. His caring heart led him to employment at Orient, where he worked as a caregiver to developmentally disabled patients. He was filled with a giving spirit and would go cold to give his coat to a soul in need. Joe is also remembered as being loving and protective of his family.
Along with his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Vernon Smith, and a nephew, Tyrone Baker.
Surviving to carry on his legacy are his mother; children; Christina Keebler, Brennen (Patti) Smith, Elmer Jr. (Suraya) Smith, Annetta Smith, Rachel Smith, Frankie Dent, Katherine Ferriman, Donald Kinney, Nicole Steward; several grandchildren; sisters, Annetta Baker and Gloria (Lawrence) Petty; brother, Shawn (Tiffani) Smith; and his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Linda was born September 22, 1951, in Mansfield, Ohio to the late Hayward and Dorothy (DeBord) Burkhart. She had worked many years as a nurse. She was a member of the All Saints Church. Linda will be remembered for her jovial personality and her quick wit. She loved her trips to the beach and tent camping. Linda was an aspiring crafter and liked browsing the local craft shows and boutiques. She especially enjoyed her “Sister Days” where she enjoyed a day of shopping and lunch with her sisters.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister and brothers in law, Frank Knapp, Bob Ross, and Bobbi Burkhart.
Linda is survived by her Fiancé and life companion James “Jim” Hough; daughter, Joey Horton; grandchildren, Josh, Cory, and Elijah Horton; sisters, Carolyn Knapp and Dorothy “Jan” Ross; brother, Richard Burkhart; nieces and nephews, Scott Wellington, Paul Knapp, Bruce Knapp, Mark Knapp, Barbara (Pat) Frea, Jennifer Ross, Jamie (Nancy) Ross, JoEllen (Tony) Bellipianni; as well as, her extended family, church family, and her many friends. She also leaves behind her fur children, cats Maddie and Rudy and dogs Remi and Mikey.
A funeral service will begin promptly at 2:30 on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at the All Saints Church, 733 State Route 41, Washington Court House, Ohio with Rev. Warren Huestis officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 12pm to 2pm, when we begin preparing for the funeral ceremony. In keeping with Linda’s wishes, cremation will follow.
