Born December 9, 1926 at Huntingdon, PA, she was a daughter of the late John and Hazel (Hack) Steel. She was united in marriage to C. Walter Wright on November 9, 1946 at Newton Hamilton, PA. Mr. Wright preceded in death on September 21, 2004.
She is survived by two sons, Galen C. Wright and wife Barbara of Hesston, PA and Monte K. Wright and wife Barbara of Amarillo, TX, one daughter in law, Annie Wright of Calvin, PA, five grandchildren, Todd Wright, Wade Wright, RandiAnne (Wright) Pizzico, Sarah (Wright) Tierney and Clinten Wright, four great grandchildren, Alexia Wright, Brianna Pizzico, Eliana Pizzico and Pepper Tierney and four sisters, Martha Ronk and husband William of Embassy at Huntingdon Park, Huntingdon, PA, Mary Ann Sheeder of Todd, PA, Donna Keppler of Huntingdon, PA and Bonnie Ulsh of Smithfield, PA. She was preceded in death by one son, Randen Wright and one brother, John Tracy Steel.
Mrs. Wright was a member of the Beavertown Bible Church, Todd, PA. Her spirituality was central to her life.
She was a graduate of Mount Union Area High School.
She was primarily a homemaker during her life and she loved that job. Nothing made her happier than serving some type of food to guests, family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 29, 2022 at the Robert I. McClain Funeral Home, 245 Seminary St., Cassville, PA. Interment will be made at Wright Cemetery, Calvin, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Obituary Preview: David W. Greenland, 87, formerly of Smith Valley, Huntingdon County, PA and most recently of Tyrone, PA, died Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Colonial Courtyard, Tyrone, PA.
Born on July 7, 1934, he was the son of the late William and Phyllis (Endres) Greenland.  He was united in marriage to Alma M. “Babe” Yocum on July 10, 1954.  Mrs. Greenland survives at Colonial Courtyard, Tyrone, PA.
He is survived by children Barry Greenland and wife Carol, Winterville, NC, Rocky Greenland and wife Lorraine, Altoona, PA and Cherleen Sunderland and husband Larry, Saltillo, PA.  Seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and sisters Dreena Snyder and Marsha Danish also survive.
Mr. Greenland retired after thirty-two years of service at Owens-Corning Fiberglass, Huntingdon, PA.  During his lifetime, he spent many years farming and gardening at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at the Robert I. McClain Funeral Home, 245 Seminary Street, Cassville, PA with Rev. Ed Seeley officiating.  Interment will be at Bowman’s Chapel Cemetery, Mapleton Depot, PA.  Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Winifred M. Worthy - April 06, 1925 - February 05, 2022

Obituary Preview: Winifred M. Worthy, 96, a former resident of Hares Valley, Mapleton Depot, PA for over 60 years, and most recently a resident at Westminster Oaks, Huntingdon, PA, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022 from complications of COVID-19.
Born April 6,1925 in Groundhog Valley, PA. She was the daughter of the late Clarence Webster and Edna (Stains) Watkins. She married her husband Robert T. Worthy, Sr. on September 11, 1942. They were married for 66 years. Mr. Worthy preceded her in death on May 13, 2008.
She is survived by four children, Janet Price and husband Harold of Radcliff, KY, Grace Whitesel and husband Roger of Mifflintown, PA, Robert T. Worthy, Jr. and wife Barbara of Mapleton Depot, PA, and Patsy “Pat” Shoemaker and husband Terry of Mapleton Depot, PA.
Mrs. Worthy is also survived by grandchildren Tamela Quijas, Harold Price III, Joel Price, Tammy Worthy, Robert Worthy III, Heather Whitesel, Darin Whitesel, Troy Whitesel and Travis Shoemaker, 15 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Worthy was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by brothers Robert "Bud" Watkins, Ralph Watkins, Lewellyn "Butch" Watkins, Clarence Watkins, Marlin "Trig" Watkins, Lawrence "Sandy" Watkins, Melvin Watkins and sisters June Duvall, Isabel Cramer, Vera Swindel, and an infant sister.
Mrs. Worthy loved her dog Blackie, helping care for farm animals, and working in her yard and her very large garden. She will be remembered by many for her cooking and baking. Her pies and homemade bread will definitely be remembered by her family and friends.
Mrs. Worthy was mainly a homemaker but had worked at Greif & Company for twelve years before the sewing factory closed.
She will be missed by her family and the staff at Westminster Oaks.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, February 10, 2022 at the Robert I. McClain Funeral Home, 245 Seminary Street, Cassville, PA with Pastor Jeffrey Knepper officiating. Interment will be at Cassville Cemetery, Cassville, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until the time of the service on Thursday.

Born on June 19, 1990 in Chambersburg, PA he was the son of Lisa Wilson and fiancé Michael Snyder, who survive of Todd, PA.
He is survived by girlfriend Jessica Dively, daughter Sophia Dively, brothers Moe Tedeschi and Alex Kyler and step-brothers Aaron Snyder and Michael Snyder, Jr.  Several cousins and a niece also survive.
Mr. Adkins was preceded in death by grandmother Ann D. Wilson, grandfather James M. Wilson and aunt Mary Didyk.
He was employed at the Mayville Engineering Company, Inc., Bedford, PA.
During his lifetime, he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, spotlighting and weight lifting with his brother Moe.  He had a heart of gold.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at the Robert I. McClain Funeral Home, 245 Seminary Street, Cassville, PA with Pastor TIm Martin officiating.  Interment will be at Mt. Born May 30, 1941 in Cass Twp., Huntingdon Co., PA, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Daisy (Hicks) Smith. She was united in marriage to Richard L. Hicks on February 25, 1961 at the Cassville United Methodist Church. Mr. Hicks survives at their home.
She is also survived by seven children, Colleen Curfman and husband Wayne, Cheryl Hicks and husband James Buckley, Tina Hicks-Kern and husband Christopher Kern, Jodi Cresswell and husband Tim, Stacy Mansberger and husband Robert, Richard D. Hicks and wife Leslie and Joel R. Hicks and wife Jackie, thirteen grandchildren, Austin Curfman and wife Jessica, Collin Curfman and wife Jessica, Natalee Buckley, Christina Kern and husband Eric Patterson, Chandlar Kern, Jamie Hicks, Abbey Cresswell, Jordan Mansberger, Macie Hicks, Cole Hicks, Jarrin Hicks, Jentry Hicks and Jaelyn Hicks, six great grandchildren, Carter Curfman, Kiera Curfman, Riley Curfman, Grace Curfman, Emma Curfman and Kennedy Curfman and three sisters, Marie Nead, Mona Smith and Joy Buckley. She was preceded in death by infant twin sons, one sister, Hazel Boyd and two brothers, Cloyd Smith and Paul Smith.
Mrs. Hicks was a proud graduate of Robertsdale High School in the Class of 1959. She was a lifetime resident of Huntingdon County and had lived at her residence until March of 2020 when she began residing at Westminster Woods until her passing.
During her life she was a homemaker and will be remembered as someone who was a friend to all. She was a lifetime member of the Trough Creek Valley Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

Dorsey M. "Mel" Mellott - June 03, 1941 - January 27, 2022

Obituary Preview: Captain Dorsey “Mel” Max Mellott, 80, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022.
Mel was born on June 3, 1941 in Huntingdon County to the late Robert W. Mellott, Sr. and F. Irene (Dell) Mellott. He was preceded in death by two of his brothers, Ronald G. Mellott and Donald E. Mellott and his son, Robert J. Mellott.
Mel began his 20 year military career in the U. S. Navy. He met his wife, Keiko (Ishikawa) Mellott, while stationed in Yokohama, Japan. After separating from naval service, Mel enlisted in the U. S. Army Special Forces, which included one tour each in Germany and Okinawa and two tours in Vietnam. His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, Presidential Unit Citation, Joint Service Commendation Medal and Parachute, Ranger and Pathfinder Badges. After retiring from active duty, Mel continued to serve his country for the next 30 years as a computer programmer/analyst at the U. S. Army Special Operations Command Headquarters, Fort Bragg, NC. Mel had a passion for cars and would fix and race his beloved Mustangs in his spare time. He was also an active member of the Special Forces Association.
Mel is survived and forever loved by his wife Keiko, son, Kenneth E. Mellott and daughter, Michele L. Mellott, all of Fayetteville, NC and his brothers, Robert W. Mellott, Jr. of Orbisonia,PA and Rodney J. Mellott and Timothy E. Mellott, both of Huntingdon, PA.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Cornelius Chapel Cemetery, RD, Mapleton, PA. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 PM Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at the Robert I. McClain Funeral Home, 245 Seminary St., Cassville, PA.16623.

Born on August 12, 1955 in Huntingdon, PA, he was the son of M. Jo Ann and Darrell Park, who survive of Mapleton Depot, PA.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by sons Dustin Cramer and wife Courtney, Huntingdon, PA and Seth Cramer and wife Lindsay, Mapleton Depot, PA, grandchildren Austin, Alexis, Charisma, Breckin, Addie, Theoren, Gabriela, Rhett, Piper and Penelope and siblings Brian Park and wife Joyce, Terri Endres and husband Dale and Jodi Wagner and husband Casey.
A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother.
Mr. Cramer was a member of the Beech Run Church of the Brethren, Mapleton Depot, PA.
He was a graduate of the Southern Huntingdon County High School - class of 1973.
During his lifetime, Mr. Cramer worked for the former L C Anderson & Sons for 25 years and D C Goodman & Sons, Inc., Huntingdon, PA for over 20 years.
He loved dirt track racing, especially Eldora Speedway in Ohio.  He recently went fishing last summer in Alaska with his friend Brian Booher and brother-in-law Casey.  He was also an avid Miami Dolphins fan.  He shared many good times with his special nephew Steven “Hoss” Park.
A viewing will be held from 6 - 8:00 PM on Friday, January 21, 2022 at the Robert I. McClain Funeral Home, 245 Seminary Street, Cassville, PA.
A private graveside service will be held at Bowman’s Chapel Cemetery, Mapleton Depot, PA at a later date.

Born on August 3, 1956 in Huntingdon, PA, he was the son of the late Gilbert C. and Gladys (Chilcote) Endres.  He was united in marriage to Patricia Chilcote on May 24, 1980.  Mrs. Endres survives at home.
Two daughters, Jessica Scott and husband Jacob, Calvin, PA and Jamie Inch and husband Justin, Calvin, PA, grandchildren Alexander Scott, Andrew Scott, Adalyn Scott, Aleah Scott, Jazzlene Inch, Jocelyn Inch, Jaylea Inch and Jordan Inch and sister Devera D. Gladfelter survive.
Two brothers, Dana Endres and Doran Endres preceded in death.
Mr. Endres was a graduate of Mount Union High School - Class of 1975.  He was a lifetime member and former vice president of the Trough Creek Valley Sportsman Association.
During his lifetime, he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren, attending all of their different activities and teaching them different things.  He also enjoyed hunting and his hobby farm.

He was the son of the late Edward and Marcy (Fox) Meko.
David retired after 43 years as a Steelmaker at the former Bethlehem Steel, now ArcelorMittal, Harrisburg PA.
He is survived by his wife, Carol (White) Meko, for whom he was married to on August 9, 2009; daughter Tonya, wife of David Weaver; three siblings, Vincent, husband of Saundra Meko,  Joseph, husband of Cindy Meko, Elizabeth, wife of David Bedway; grandson, Bryce Meko Weaver; step-children, Justin White of Mt. Union, PA Traci Allen and companion Danny St. Clair of Huntingdon, PA and Dustin Allen of Mt. Union, PA; step-grandchildren Dyemyn, Kyrah, and Jayce St. Clair of Huntingdon, PA, Michael and Ashlyn White of Tennessee, Harley, Haylee and Haven Allen of Shippensburg, PA and Troy Naugle of Chambersburg, PA.
David was a devoted husband, dedicated employee and fun loving person who enjoyed hiking, skiing, boating, motorcycling, NASCAR (especially Mark Martin), the Dallas Cowboys and spending time around the campfire with family and friends.  He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and those who knew him.
He was very fond of his dogs Max and Ginger.
A private gathering will be held with family and friends in celebration of his life.

He is survived by son Jason Chilcote and companion Renae, Mill Creek, PA, daughter Megan Neff and husband Garrett, Blain, PA and grandchildren Gavin, Olivia, John Luke Suchan, Luke and Alice.
Mr. Chilcote was preceded in death by sisters Gladys Endres, Delores Hughes, Bernyce Hamman and brother Chalmer Chilcote.
He was a 1965 graduate of Huntingdon Area High School.
Mr. Chilcote was in the United States Army, serving in Korea during the Vietnam Era.  He was a lifetime member of Standing Stone Post 1754,  V. F. W., Huntingdon, PA. He retired as a batch operator from Owens Corning Fiberglass, Huntingdon, PA
During his lifetime, Mr. Chilcote was an avid reader, enjoyed camping with his grandchildren, trout fishing and bird watching.

Born on March 11, 1949 in Todd, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ford and Anna (Grissinger) Stapleton.  She was married to Larry A. McClain on December 14, 1968.  Mr. McClain survives at home.
She is survived by sons Paul McClain and wife Misty, Glen Rock, PA, Phillip McClain, Cassville, PA, grandchildren Noah, Aeryn, Bridget, and Justin and sister Sharon Long and husband Dennis, Three Springs, PA.
Mrs. McClain was a graduate of Tussey Mountain High School and the Huntingdon County Career and Technology Center, where she obtained her LPN license.
She was a past Worthy Matron in the Order of Eastern Star Cromwell Chapter 549, Orbisonia, PA and Mount Union Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 28, Mount Union, PA.
Mrs. McClain loved animals, quilting, tending to flowers, spending time with her grandchildren and baking — especially chocolate chip cookies, apple pie, zucchini bread and peanut butter fudge.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the Cassville Lutheran Church, 309 Seminary St., Cassville, PA with Pastor Dan Mansberger officiating.  Interment will be at Cassville Cemetery, Cassville, PA.

Born on March 6, 1944 in Ruth, Nevada, he was the son of the late Raymond and Grace (Anderson) Bolinger.  He was united in marriage to Bertha Rogers on November 14, 1964.  Mrs. Bolinger survives at home.
He is survived by son Dennis Bolinger and wife Barbara, Mapleton Depot, PA, grandchildren Lindsay Harper, Tara Gilliland, Brienna Bolinger, Tyler Bolinger, Ryan Bolinger and seven great grandchildren.  A sister, Janet Bolinger, Mapleton Depot, PA also survives.
Mr. Bolinger was a charter member of the Jacks Mountain Lions Club and was a member of the Woodcock Valley Lions Club.
In his younger years, he attended Cornelius Chapel United Methodist Church, Mapleton Depot, PA.
During his lifetime, he was a truck driver.  His family and friends meant the world to him.  He always enjoyed traveling to local restaurants to socialize with others.

Obituary Preview: Faye Maxine Endres, 94, of Findlay, OH, went to be with the Lord Saturday, July 24, 2021 at her home.
Born November 4, 1926 in Todd Twp., Huntingdon Co., PA, she was a daughter of the late Myrtle (Ramsey) McKnight. She was united in marriage to Rev. Ronald J. Endres on June 22, 1945. Rev. Endres preceded in death on March 5, 2008.
She is survived by three daughters, Vickie Ruley and husband Howard of Frederick, MD, Connie Flugga and husband Stephen of Mt. Blanchard, OH and Tina Lorraine of Findlay, OH. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren and fifteen great great grandchildren and three siblings, Delores Donelson of Three Springs, PA, Joan Fischer of Hagerstown, MD and Fred McKnight of Cassville, PA. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Carol Ramstad, four sisters, Grace Lemin, Jean Karns, Norma Ramper and Kay McKnight and two brothers, Bobby and Jack McKnight.
Mrs. Endres attended the College First Church of God, Findlay, OH and was a member of the Saxton Church of God, Saxton, PA.
During her life she was a homemaker and an active minister’s wife.
She was a loving mother and wife and was passionate about serving the Lord. Starting from a young age she sang duets with her sister at church. She later became a Sunday School teacher and directed numerous choirs, including the children’s choir at the Calvin United Methodist Church, Calvin, PA. She worked side by side with her husband as he was pastoring his churches. She often worked with the youth at the church, counseling and directing them in the way to live a proper Christian life. In 1976 she and her husband were called to minister to the Navajo Indians at the Churches of God Mentmore Mission, Mentmore, NM. While there she started a children’s Sunday School and at times, when her husband was unable to, she delivered the message. She continued directing the Adult Choir and being active serving the Lord. She also performed as a Christian ventriloquist and a  Christian clown.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at the Robert I. McClain Funeral Home, 245 Seminary St., Cassville, PA with Pastor Dan Mansberger officiating. Interment will be made at Cassville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 6 - 8 PM on Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
A lunch will be served at the Trough Creek Valley Fire Hall following the interment.

Born December 27, 1931 in Todd Twp., Huntingdon Co., PA, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Hunia) Didyk.
Miss Didyk is survived by a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Frank, Paul, Tony, Jake and John Didyk and two sisters, Anne Wilson and Susie Stapleton.

He is survived by four children, Tracy Sheeder of DuBois, PA, Stacey Miller and husband John of Lillington, NC, Travis Sheeder and wife Linda of Three Springs, PA and Dan Sheeder and wife Brooke of McConnellsburg, PA. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one brother, Arthur Sheeder of Fayetteville, NC.He was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Ithel and Jack Sheeder.
Mr. Sheeder graduated from the Southern Huntingdon County High School in the Class of 1970.
During his life he was employed as a diesel mechanic.
An accomplished musician, he enjoyed playing bluegrass gospel music.
Mr. Sheeder was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U. S. Marine Corps in Da Nang.

She is survived by three sons, Terry Hess and wife Sandy, Kuna, ID, Charles Hess and wife Dena, Wellsville, NY and Randolph Hess and wife Bethany, Robertsdale, PA.  Thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.
One brother, John B. Stoner and wife Ellie survive of Fisherville, VA.
She was a member of Beavertown Bible Church, Todd, PA and Trough Creek Homemakers Club, Cassville, PA.
During her lifetime, Mrs. Forshey was primarily a homemaker and in her earlier years worked as a practical nurse at Masonic Homes, Elizabethtown, PA.

Born on September 24, 1933 in Groundhog Valley, he was the son of the late Clarence Webster and Edna (Stains) Watkins.  He married the former Jean L. DeHart on April 7, 1981.  Mrs. Watkins preceded in death on November 2, 2014.
He is survived by three children, Robin Watkins and husband Phillip Ramsey, Buddie Watkins and wife Alisha and Lorie Watkins and husband Sam Harper, step-children Wilbert Barker and wife Tonya, Tammy Duvall and husband Tim, Yvonne Rickabaugh and husband Steve and Zebra Barker.  Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren survive.
One sister, Winnifred Worthy, also survives of Huntingdon, PA.
Brothers Melvin Watkins, Ralph Watkins, Lewellyn “Butch” Watkins, Clarence Watkins, Marlin “Trig” Watkins, Lawrence “Sandy” Watkins and sisters June Duvall, Isabell Cramer, Vera Swindel and an infant sister preceded in death.
Mr. Watkins was of Protestant Faith.
He retired after 30 years of service as a truck driver with IBEW Local #126.  He recently received a pin for 55 years as a member of IBEW.  He was also a member of the Three Springs Senior Center.
Mr. Watkins was an avid hunter who you could find in the hollows and ridges of Joller Mountain.  He loved gardening and his beloved beagle Daisy.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 3, 2021 at the Robert I. Mr. Snyder had five brothers and two sisters that preceded him in death.
He had worked thirty years for E.R. Caldwell, Ligonier, PA, Slates Salvage, Three Springs Borough, Derstine Vegetables and was a garbage man.

Randen Neil Wright, 68 years old, a faithful servant of the Lord was received by our Heavenly Father on March 7th 2021. Randen was the son of the late Walter Wright and Neva (Steel) Wright who resides in Huntingdon, Pa. He married Mary Anna Mansberger on August 24th, 1974. Randen and Mary have two daughters. Randi Anne (Wright) Pizzico, husband David and two daughters Brianna Marie and Eliana Jolie reside in King of Prussia, Pa. Sarah Elizabeth (Wright) Tierney and her husband Geoffrey also live in King of Prussia. Also surviving are his brothers Galen Wright, his wife Barbara of Hesston, Pa and Monte Wright with his wife Barbara of Amarillo, Texas.
Randen was a Penn State University graduate and also attended Wesley Theological Seminary for course study. He was a newly retired United Methodist Pastor for the Susquehanna conference. Throughout his life, Randen was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather. “Randy” enjoyed journalism, photography, played guitar and was a gifted craftsman. His mission in life became sharing with others the opportunity for a loving relationship with God. “Well done, good and faithful servant.” God the Father and your family here are proud of who you chose to be and we are better people because we knew you.
The family is planning a celebration of life that will be held at a later date.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Lane is survived by his children:  Christine Briscoe and companion James Untereiner of Pleasanton, KS; Kristy Cook and husband Courtney of Huntingdon, PA; Anita Lane-Bounds and husband Bobby of Frisco, TX; Jessica Woomer of Huntingdon, PA; Dennis Lane, Jr. and companion Ashley Baker of Mount Union, PA; Kyle Woomer and wife Caitlin of James Creek, PA; and Thomas Lane and companion Beth Whitmore of Huntingdon, PA and seventeen grandchildren.
Three brothers:  Tim Lane and wife Deb of Dudley, PA; Galen Lane and wife Vera of Wood, PA; and Jay Lane and wife Jennifer of Collegeville, PA and one sister, Lisa Shoop of Wood, PA also survive.
He was preceded in death by infant daughter Kimberly Lane, brother Norman Lane, Jr. and step-father Andrew James Palko.
Mr. Lane had served in the United States Air Force, serving his country in Vietnam.  It was during this time that he learned his trade which became a lifelong career of water and wastewater treatment plant operator.  He last worked for Mount Union and Mapleton Boroughs, retiring in 2015.
He enjoyed watching the Steelers and Pirates, playing softball and bowling, boating, watching his grandchildren play sports, preparing large Sunday meals for his family and grandchildren, and going on daily trips to McDonald's for breakfast with his dog, Dude.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the Robertsdale Church of God, 284 N Main St, Robertsdale, PA 16674.  Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
