Shelley D. Bronson - July 19, 1957 - April 03, 2024

Departed: 04/03/2024 (Philadelphia)
Obituary Preview: Shelley D. Bronson, 66, of Dallas, PA, passed on April 3, 2024 in Wilkes-Barre, PA. She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Michael Bronson and a host of other family and friends. Services are private.
Shelley Bronson wanted to be a fashion designer, but being born an African American in 1957, she didn’t believe it was possible. Yet, the death of one dream lead to the birth of another. By becoming a Business Systems Analyst, she was able to make enough money to give her son the best life imaginable and be known as a great tipper who was the favorite customer of every restaurant she would frequently visit. Living a comfortable life wasn’t the same as living rich or easy one. She lost her parents at a young age and was initially rejected from job a due to the color of her skin. Despite these setbacks, she always pushed forward and was usually rewarded for her hard work and optimism. During her final days, still believing she would recover, it was conversations with her brother and sister-in-law about visiting them in summer and planning a trip to Disney World where could spend time with her son, her niece she viewed as a daughter, her grandnephew that was more of like a grandson, and a recently born grand niece that she was looking forward to holding for the first time. While her life ended too soon, the impact she made on those who loved her the most was bigger than what could normally be achieved in a million lifetimes.

Obituary Preview: A Life Well Lived…..
Aaron Dante Foster, age 29, the son of Saunsiree S. Foster and Keith Holloway, departed this life on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at 10:06pm. He was born on Tuesday, October 26, 1993 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Aaron worked at J&B Construction and G&G as a Carpenter. He also worked in the transportation logistics and automotive industries as a Car Transporter and Car Detailer.
A man of courage who feared nothing, he found joy in taking apart brand-new electronics, rebuilding them to his liking, detailing cars, carpentry, and caring for dogs. Aaron was able to convince his mother to allow dogs in the house, after greeting her with a new dog who was only “visiting” for a few days. Often quiet, Aaron was smooth like the waves in his head!!! He was a gentleman and made sure the ladies ate well when they came to visit. He was well known wherever he went and was bound to befriend everyone. When asked how he knew all these people, he would say, I know them from around the way!
Throughout his life, Aaron was determined to learn how to do things that could seem complex to many. That determination led to Aaron teaching himself how to ride a motorcycle. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle both day and night.
Some of his favorite things included eating cereal (Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Fruity Pebbles), playing Crash Bandicoot, Tomb Raider, on PlayStation, and watching classic movies such How High, Toy Story, Crooklyn and Fast and Furious. He was also an avid music lover, often blasting NeYo and other songs throughout the house.
Aaron took pride living life on his own terms and doing exactly what he wanted to do. He would often remind you of just that. He loved being around his family and friends.

For some time, she worked as a teaching assistant at Frederick Douglass Elementary School and Robert Vaux Junior High School. For more than 20 years she was a housekeeper to Dr. Myron L. Rodos and his family.
Augusta accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Mt. Pisgah United Holiness Church under the leadership of Pastor Margaret Bennet. She later became a member and honored church mother at Ark of Safety Evangelistic Church under the leadership of Pastor Joseph Q. Blocker.
She was affectionately known as Gussie to her family and friends and Momma to her grand and great-grandchildren.
Gussie was a fiercely dedicated mother to her children. She was kind and generous and always willing to give advice and share an encouraging word. She loved to travel the many different states for family reunions. Every summer she would look forward to vacationing at the shore in Wildwood, NJ. When not enjoying time with family she could be found in the kitchen baking her delicious cakes and pies.
Gussie had a true passion for baking. She once took Wilton’s baking class that was offered at Gimbles Department Store. While attending classes she learned skills that allowed her to create her signature icing. That icing was one of a kind! It was said that her signature cake was a pound cake. People would rave about her spice cake and her delicious cheesecakes. She stayed busy with private orders and requests for specialty cakes for many of her grandchildren’s birthdays and family and friends.
Gussie would always be fashionably dressed and in high heels. Even her house slippers had a heel.
She was known to send cards for any occasion. You could expect to receive a card in the mail with cash in it and she would always call to make sure you received it.
Gussie leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Linda Fox (Aaron Fox), Clyde Jordan, Sr. (Millicent Jordan), Willie Jordan (Chrisestle Jordan), and Mark Jordan (Pricilla Jordan), Godchild Vicky Johnson, 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.

Wells Dix and together with the late John L Dix they raised Donald along with his 7 other siblings in Philadelphia. Donald would tell you he was from the South, which meant South Philly. While still in grade school he and his family moved to West Philadelphia. Donald was also known as Don, DC, as well as Wells by those who worked with him. He was educated within the Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia attending grade school Saint Thomas Acquinas and later Our Lady of the Rosary before heading to Saint Thomas Moore High School. It was here Donald felt the need to join the military to complete his civic duty. He enlisted in the Marines December 1956, where he traveled the world. Donald served three glorious years receiving an honorable discharge in 1959. After the military he went to work as a cook at Lankenau Hospital in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania for six years. It was while working here he met and married the love of his life in 1961, the late Eva L Stone. They enjoyed 31 years of marriage until her death in December 1992. This union produced their one and only child, Donnell.
Several years after getting married Donald left Lankenau Hospital to begin his employment with the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transit Authority (SEPTA) where he started as an Elevated Train Car Repairman. He quickly rose through the ranks thanks to his training he received in the military. He eventually became a mechanical electrical engineer. He thoroughly enjoyed working for SEPTA and upon his retirement after thirty six years he received what is called a Safety Achievement Award honoring him for 22 years of outstanding safety performance. Train Car Repairman.
