Mr. David Mayianda Moryas of Charlotte, NC died peacefully in his sleep on January 6th, 2021 after suffering from a terminal illness. Mr. Moryas was born on November 15th, 1932 in Bochura village within Kisii Township in Kenya. He acquired his formal education at Kereri Government African School (present day - Kisii High School) between the years of 1945 and 1955. Afterwards he proceeded to work for several Tea companies in the Great Rift Valley region and eventually CalTex Oil Company in Nairobi before retiring to venture into business and farming in Kisii. He relocated to the United States in 2004 and settled in Charlotte, NC, where he lived with his family until his death. He was an active member and a church elder in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church both in Kenya and in Charlotte, NC. He is preceded in death by his parents Israel Mayianda and Ruth Nyaitondi. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Martha Moraa Mbegera of Charlotte, NC, and seven adult children. Shem Kimaiga (Jeanine Kabisa), Isaiah Mayega (Joyce Nyaboke), Justus Momanyi (Winnie Moraa), Joseph Chief Nyandusi (Stella Kemunto), Penninah Monyenche, the late Ezekiah Mobisa, Robert Bonuke (Joy Kemunto), Darvin Kerubo (Eric Mwasi), and several grandchildren. He was a brother to Martha Osebe, Anna Nyaanga and the late Jerusha Nyamoita. He was loving and cherished grandfather to: Dick, Ivy, Jake, Sandra, Phildah, Stacey, Jessica, Wesley, David, Jaden, Jamilah, Denley, Samba, Ella, Leo.
