Kenneth "Doug" Wilson - October 15, 1956 - April 24, 2022

Obituary Preview: Kenneth Douglas Wilson "Doug", age 65, of Knoxville, TN., departed this life on Sunday, April 24 at his home after a long illness.
Doug was father to three children: Amanda Wilson Arko (Michael) of Murfreesboro; Melissa Anne Wilson and Jess Ryan Wilson (Sara), both of Knoxville. He was a grandfather to six grandchildren, Cadence, Hannah, Logan, Sylv, Holly, and Fox.
He leaves behind his partner, Anna Spencer and her granddaughter, Brookelyn. He was born in Polk County, TN in 1956 to Kenneth and Dolores Wilson and was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Donald Wilson.
Doug is also survived by his mother, Dolores Cheek Wilson of Knoxville and by his sisters: Debbie Wilson Mitchell (Ben) of Louisville, TN; Donna Wilson McClure (James) and Nancy Dianne Wilson, both of Knoxville.
He previously served in the USAF for six years and was stationed in Valdosta, GA. Like his father, Doug was a lifelong fisherman and was happiest heading to a creek in the Cherokee Forest or fishing on the beach on St. George Island. The family wishes to extend our heartfelt appreciation to UT Hospice for their constant kindness and compassion and also to Greg Weller, Doug’s “bud for 50 years”.
A celebration of life is pending.

Rose was born to the late Jesus and Jennie Lopez, February 17, 1953, in Albuquerque, NM.  Rose met and fell in love with her high school sweetheart Benjamin Montoya while they attended Albuquerque High School. Ben and Rose were married August 8, 1970, and had three beautiful daughters. Rose loved adventure and travel. Ben and Rose lived in several wonderful places spending some time in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Mexico; Pensacola, FL and most recently in Sevierville, TN. No matter where Rose lived, her home was always spotless, welcoming, and full of love. One of Rose’s favorite things about living away from New Mexico was that she could host guests from out of town. She always made sure anyone visiting would have the time of their life and a vacation they would never forget. Rose’s amazing cooking did not hurt either. Rose was a very spiritual woman and Catholic, however Rose never attended a church she did not love. Rose had a zeal for life and loved everyone she came in to contact with and everyone loved Rose in return. Rose is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Benjamin Montoya; her daughters, Rebecca Montoya, Angela Gallegos, and Alicia Montoya; her grandchildren Benjamin and Selena Griego, Samantha and Alyssa Gallegos; great granddaughter, Jessie Griego; brothers and sisters Anthony and Priscilla Lopez, John and Debbie Lopez, Dolores and Ron Martinez, Patricia and Ruben Gutierrez, Charles and Elena Montoya; a host of nieces and nephews; and her beloved doggies Bella and Oz. Rose leaves behind beautiful memories and lots of love.  She will be missed dearly. She graduated from Horace Maynard High School in 1964. She married her sweetheart Troy Ruble Rogers in 1963. They began their life together and started their family in Sharps Chapel, TN. Marilyn graduated from Wendell's School of Beauty in Knoxville, TN., where she chose cosmetology as her career. She loved to make women beautiful, and she did that very well. She was also a long-standing member of the Jefferson County Republican Women. A loving, caring wife and mother, ‘Nana’ to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marilyn’s favorite pastimes besides spending time with family and friends, was gardening, feeding the birds, and growing beautiful flowers. Her smile lit up any room.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Rogers; daughter, April Rogers; parents, Jesse and Trula Hobock; daughter-in-law, Peggy Black-Rogers; brother, J.L. Hobock; sister Carolyn Sue Walker; nephew, Ronald Hobock.

Obituary Preview: Richard “Dickey” Lee Ridenour, age 77, departed this world on Saturday, February 19, 2022 to live eternity with his Heavenly Father. Dickey was proud to have served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Dickey was preceded in death by his older brother Xeno Wilson Ridenour, Jr.; his father and mother, Xeno and Louise Ridenour. He leaves behind his loving and dedicated wife, Kathy, of 48 years, his beautiful daughter Amber, her devoted husband, Scott Moser, and his precious and beautiful granddaughter, Olivia Moser. He is also survived by his sister, Jeannie and brother-in-law, Wayne Hinkle; sister-in-law, Debbie and husband Steve Morie; nephew, John Morie; his grand nephews, Matthew and Caleb Morie. He leaves behind a multitude of special friends who he so dearly loved.
The family wishes to acknowledge Dr. Robert G. Thompson with Covenant Health for the care and friendship that he provided to Dickey for many years and especially to Smoky Mountain Hospice for their excellent care and love during Dickey’s time of transition. Special thanks to Charlie Grooms, Tuan Fine, Elena French, Beverly Morgan, and Chaplain Danny Hill with Smoky Mountain Hospice. She was born in Wyomissing, PA on August 2,1940.  Beryl was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Knoblauch Numkin and father, Bernard Numkin. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Carl Lohren, three daughters: Ann and Scott Shulman, Tammy Lohren and Chris Dibble, and Holly Lohren and Bill Monahan. She also leaves behind much loved grandchildren Lohren and Trent Dyer, Eric and Jessica Shulman, Steven and Jodi Monahan, James and Amanda Monahan, and four great grandchildren- Hudson, Adaline, Brady and Shepherd.
Beryl graduated from Calvin Coolidge High School and attended the University of Maryland. She worked for The National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. She and Carl lived in Glen Cove, NY for 30 years. Carl was Head Golf Professional at North Shore Country Club and played professional golf all over the world, while Beryl managed the golf shop and raised their three children. They moved to Dandridge, TN in 1989. She was a dedicated and loyal Christian, wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Beryl was the eternal optimist and a free spirit. She traveled the world and all over the country with Carl and her family. She never met a stranger and her smile would light up a room.  Beryl lived a wholesome life and was an excellent cook, gardener and homemaker. She had an avid thirst for knowledge, wanted to read everything, and even went back college to take a history class. Beryl had capacity to enjoy everything life offered her, from the simple beauty of her flowers to the majesty of the smoky mountains. She was proud of wherever she lived and was the consummate tour guide, whether, it was a small town in Long Island, a road trip into NYC or trips to the Smokies and Knoxville’s Market Square. Beryl was an animal lover and had a special place in her heart for all veterans and service personnel. She had an ear for music and enjoyed dancing. Her happiest moments were spent with family and friends on the holidays.  Beryl loved God from a very early age and raised her family with strong Christian values. Peggy never met a stranger and was never ashamed to share her love for the Lord. She leaves behind so many who will feel her absence in the days to come but there is comfort knowing she is with her Lord and Savior and rejoined with her daughter Stephanie.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Stephanie Lee Moore (St. Laurent); parents, Wayne and Elizabeth Leona (Jones) Dasher; brothers, Leo, Richard, Wayne, Steven and Garry Dasher; sisters, Donna Jean Kidwell, Joann Dasher, and Susan Dasher.
