Carol Anne Clancy Del Gaudio - February 20, 1957 - May 03, 2024

Departed: 05/03/2024 (Queensbury)
Obituary Preview: It is with deep and profound sadness that the family of Carol Anne Clancy Del Gaudio announce her passing on May 3, 2024. Carol, beloved wife of Henry Del Gaudio, passed away with both Henry and her daughter Jillian Clancy McDonald by her side. Born February 20, 1957, in Fort Lauderdale, FL, Carol was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Ruffini) Brady.
Carol was a graduate of Brockton High School and attended Boston College, majoring in English, before leaving early to care for her father while he was sick and to help take care of her family. Throughout her academic career, Carol was always put into classes 2 to 3 years ahead of her grade - something she didn’t often want anyone to know. Carol would go on to have an incredibly successful career at Verizon, joining the phone company when it was New England Telephone, seeing it through name changes and retiring after 30 years. The greatest gift that her career gave her were her two best friends Julie Leahy and Robyn Gorman.
Time with Henry, her daughter Jillian and her loved ones brought life to Carol. Carol and Henry had a routine rooted in their love for each other, but she especially loved their Saturday night dinner dates at the bar at Mario’s. She lived for preparing for Jillian, Mike and “the girls” to visit each winter and summer and would fondly make a summer “to-do list” for the group. Carol wrote the book on caretaking and spoiling that went well beyond Henry and Jillian to include their dog Jet, her step-grandchildren who fondly referred to her as “CC”, and eventually the children of Jillian’s best friends. Carol made every small moment feel just as special as the big ones for Henry and Jillian - she was the best wife and mother you could have ever hoped for.
Left to mourn her loss and honor her love and memory besides her loving husband, Henry, are her daughter Jillian and her husband Michael McDonald of Quincy, MA, her sister and best friend Maureen Crane and her husband Joe, her sister and brother-in-law Kathleen and Terrance Dues, and her sister Kimberly. She also leaves behind her stepchildren, James and Kirsten Del Gaudio, and Robert and Caroline Del Gaudio, her step-grandchildren Juliana, Christopher, Elliott and Grace Del Gaudio as well as beloved nephews, nieces, and many cherished friends. Carol is predeceased by her parents, sister Patricia Whalen, brother Steven Brady, and ex-husband John Clancy.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, May 10, at the Sacred Heart Church, 50 Mohican Street, Lake George, NY from 10 am to 12 pm.
A Mass of Christian burial will immediately follow calling hours at the church.

of 91, on February 15th, 2024. Originally from Italy, Rose, her husband, and their two daughters moved to the United States, specifically White Plains, NY in March of 1966. Rose worked at New York Presbyterian Hospital for many years until she retired. However, “retirement” never slowed Rose down. In the late 1980’s she and her husband moved to Schroon Lake, New York where they opened a restaurant called Trattoria Italiana. Rose was at the helm of the ship, not only as the head chef but also as the manager. She made countless patrons happy daily, making friends with her delicious Italian cooking and fiery, Italian wit. Eventually Rose and Luigi sold the restaurant, and Rose continued to work in Wilton, New York at Home of the Good Shepard where again she
shared her culinary talents and made many friends. After the passing of her husband, Rose moved to Glens Falls, New York where she stayed active pursuing her passions. She was a valued member of the Glens Falls Senior Center, where she volunteered many hours. She loved her friends at the Center, and they enjoyed many trips together. Most of all, Rose loved dancing with the line dancers group every Friday. She was a woman of strong faith; nothing
could stop Rose from going to Church on Sunday morning. Rose loved her family more than anything else in the world. Sunday dinners were a staple at her home where she made her delicious pasta and meatballs. She would implore you to have a second dish and always rolled her eyes if you said you were full. Cooking and baking for family and friends was a way that she showed her love for you, especially her famous Christmas cookies! Rose was always ready to help her loved ones, and there was never a time you couldn’t count on her to be there. Her strength and resolve were unmatched, and she will
be dearly missed by all who knew her and loved her. Rose’s legacy lives on through her daughters: Adele Behrmann from Lake George, NY, and Joyce Silberkleit (Jay Neil) from Oxford, CT; grandchildren: Lisa Mastrodomenico (Thomas), Vincent Perrotta (Sadie), Steven Perrotta, Lauren Minc (Jesse), Amanda Duers (Jeremy), James Behrmann, Jason Silberkleit (Kimberly), and Jeffrey Silberkleit (Lauren); great- grandchildren; Julia, Christina, Vincent, Willa, Penelope, Logan, Cameron, Jocelyn, Olivia, Emily, Dylan, Donovan, Harlow, and Hayden; and her beloved cat, “Kitty.” A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 am on Thursday, February 22, 2024
