JACLYN ELAINE PARDO - May 03, 1978 - January 15, 2024

Departed: 01/15/2024 (Anaheim)
Obituary Preview: Jaclyn “Jackie” Elaine Pardo 05/03/1978 – 01/15/2024 Born on May 3, 1978, to Richard and Christina Pardo who resided in Highland Park until 1996. Jackie attended Monte Vista Elementary School, Luther Burbank Jr High School and Benjamin Franklin High
School, Class of 1996. Soon after graduation they relocated to Covina, CA. During her early years, she worked at McDonalds in Burbank, Pep Boys in Glendale, Citrus Valley Florist in Covina, attended Citrus College to receive her Cosmetology Degree in 2005. She worked as a cafeteria worker for Hacienda/La Puente School District, then moved over to the Deli Dept at Albertsons Market in Covina. When that store closed, she worked for Porto’s Bakery during their grand opening at
the West Covina location until the Covid Pandemic. She last studied at Glendale Career College for Surgical Instrument Technician, completed her internship at White Memorial Hospital in Boyle Heights and passed the exam on April 14, 2022. Unfortunately, Jackie was diagnosed on April 30, 2022, with 4 th stage Colon/Liver/Lung Cancer. The week of her diagnosis, she had received two job offers, one from City of Hope and the second from USC Medical
Center. With so much disappointment, she had to turn them both down. After extended tests she began Chemo treatment the first week of June. She would go every other
Wednesday and come home with her little friend, a Chemo ball which hung out with her until Friday. On January 17, 2023, she had an operation to remove a tumor from the lower part of her intestines along with her appendix which was no longer needed. The pain which she was experiencing subsided
tremendously. Chemo continued but unfortunately the spots on her liver and lungs increased. Around November, she transitioned to another form of Chemo /Oxycodone hoping it would give her more strength and energy to spend time with her girls since she was always so drained. Soon after she could feel that her health was declining and the monster inside of her was taking over. She had so much
hope but was so tired of fighting. As a single mother, she always did her best to support her daughters and wanted to provide a stable lifestyle for them. This past year she tried to spend as much time with her family and friends as she could with a few road trips, attended a few more Dodger games, made sure to attend her daughter’s softball games at Cypress College and even joined a co-ed softball team in her old stomping grounds of
Highland Park. She was a fighter, but the Cancer consumed her. She leaves behind three young adult daughters, Hennessie, Destiny, Jolee her parents Richard and Christina, her only sister Marlo, brother-in-Law Rey, nephews Demitrius (Alexis), Christian (Destiny), great nephew Logan, and great niece Baby Lyla. And not to mention, many family members and great
friends.
Forever 45 and Forever missed. The Pardo-Lopez Family
