Obituary Preview: Delores R. (Ford) Duran, 87 formerly of Allegheny Street, Jersey Shore passed away Friday, April 22, 2022 at ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Jersey Shore.  She was born in Williamsport October 15, 1934 a daughter to Charles S. and Edna Mae (Frey) Ford.  At age 10 she was adopted and raised by Earnest and Winifred Orsin.  Delores was a homemaker her entire life and a devoted mother.  She was a member of the Alter and Rosary Society.  She was a volunteer for years at the Jersey Shore Hospital.  She had received awards for her gardening abilities.  Delores loved her “family time” and was a devoted and loving mother to her three sons Johnny, Chucky & Tom.
Her survivors include her son Thomas V. Duran (Shana) of McElhattan and her granddaughter Sarah Duran of Bethesda, MD.  A special friend and neighbor Fran Hollick of Jersey Shore.  She was predeceased by her husband Charles W. Duran, Sr. in 1983 along with her two sons John G. Duran in 2001 and Charles W. Duran, Jr in 2014.  She was further predeceased by her siblings John, Elmer, Lee, Beverly and Betty.

Obituary Preview: Michael C. Gair, 21, of Jersey Shore passed away unexpectedly early Saturday morning April 9, 2022 in Jersey Shore, Pa.
He was born January 23, 2001 in Williamsport, a son of Michael P. Gair and Lori Charles Gallagher.  He was a graduate of Williamsport Area High School and a student in their Vo-Tech Department. Michael was the lead merchandiser for S.A.S. Corporation with the headquarters in Boston, Ma.  He was an outgoing young man who enjoyed fishing, playing X-box games and watching Pro Wrestling.
Michael’s survivors include his mother Lori Gallagher of Jersey Shore and his father Michael Gair of Williamsport.  His stepfather Brian Gallagher of Jersey Shore; step mother Glenda Johnson of Williamsport; Maternal step grandfather John Harvey Sr. of Williamsport and  step grandmother Patricia Stewart of Avis; brothers: Warren Swank and Chris Dronick of Williamsport, Patrick Gallagher of Williamsport and Robert Gallagher of Jersey Shore; sister: Kayla Reeder of Texas, Alexandria Charles of Jersey Shore; special cousins Sabrina Mull of Jersey Shore and Nicholas Mull of Hughesville, one niece, one nephew and numerous other cousins.
Michael’s life tribute celebration will begin with a visitation from 9:00am – 11:00am Saturday, April 16, 2022 at the Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home 1002 Allegheny Street Jersey Shore, PA where services will be held at 11:00am with Pastor Jeff Pennycoff officiating. Interment will be held in Renovo at the family’s convenience.  His family suggests contributions be made to Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home to help defray funeral costs.

Jacquelyn C. Dunkelberger - Unknown - April 05, 2022

Obituary Preview: Jacquelyn (Jackie) Dunkelberger, age 74, passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on April 5, 2022 with her family and close friends by her side.  Jackie was born in Williamsport on April 1, 1948, and was the daughter of the late John L. MacMinn and Sarah Doris (Jenkins) MacMinn.  She was a 1966 graduate of Loyalsock Twp. High School and Goldy Beacom Jr College, Wilmington, DE. She worked as a childcare provider in Loysville for many years.  She is survived by a son, Jason Fryer of Elliottsburg; sisters, Sandra Goehrig and Margaret MacMinn-Barton (Michael), five nieces and nephews, eight great nieces and nephews, and one great great niece.
There will be a graveside service and burial Friday, April 8, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport, PA.

Irene M. Rainey - November 25, 1932 - March 20, 2022

Obituary Preview: JERSEY SHORE - Irene Salmon Rainey, 89, who lived her entire lifetime in Lycoming County, PA, passed away on March 20, 2022. Irene was born on November 25, 1932 in Jersey Shore to Clarence W. and Ethel White Salmon, but was raised by her maternal grandparents, James and Blanche Barton White. Irene was married to Charles (Bush) W. Rainey in March 1950 until his death in July 1978.
Irene earned her LPN certification in May 1976 and retired from the Jersey Shore Hospital in December 2006 after 30 years of service as an LPN. She was a member of the Lighthouse Wesleyan Church in Jersey Shore and was a dedicated Bible scholar. If you knew her, you know her hobby was finding treasures in other peoples’ junk (yard sales and American Rescue Store). She never passed up a Bible in her quest to spread the word of God. She was a book collecting enthusiast and celebrated the twice annual Jersey Shore Library sale.
She is survived by six children: Connie (Len) Frye, Carolyn Rainey, Charles (Connie) Rainey, Jr. and Ann Rainey all of PA; Linda Rainey of FL & Ethel Grace (Andy) Kramer of TX; eight grandchildren: Ron (Nancy), Judy and Christine Saiers, Michael Rainey, Marcus (Jennifer) Kramer, Bob (Kelly) and Jennifer (Rupert Grantham) Marshall, Charlie (Amber) Rainey, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four half siblings: Sharon Perieda, Doris Keene, James Brown & Shirley Dieckman.
She was predeceased by her husband, parents and grandparents, a sister, Barbara Salmon Barnes, a great-granddaughter, Alexandria Saiers and her beloved in-laws, Karl and Grace Brickell Rainey Hackett. who were an endless source of support and inspiration for her - physically, emotionally and spiritually.  She was the last surviving member of Grace’s ten children and their spouses.

Gerald Alan Naugle - August 16, 1953 - March 19, 2022

Obituary Preview: JERSEY SHORE - Gerald Alan Naugle, 68, entered fully into the presence of the Lord Saturday, March 19, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in Jesus Christ supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him eternal peace.
He was married on October 8, 1996 to the former Cathy J. Ritchey, who survives, and they would have celebrated 26 years as husband and wife this October.
Gerald was born on August 16, 1953 in Jersey Shore and was the son of Pauline Elizabeth (Sechrist) Naugle of Avis and the late Gerald Floyd Naugle.  He graduated from Jersey Shore High School in 1972.  Gerald had worked at Brodart from 1985 until his retirement in 2018.  He was a member of the PA Hard Woods Council and Bass Masters.  He was a gifted carpenter and cabinet maker. Even through his illness, Gerald finished building their dream retirement home on Black Lake, NY, where he enjoyed fishing and boating with Cathy and their many friends and neighbors.
Gerald was a genuine spiritual leader, who loved the Lord and modeled the love of Jesus to every person he touched. His gentle presence, tender heart, and giving spirit have had an enormous and eternal impact on many.
In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by one son; Abe H. Naugle (Christina) of Jersey Shore, one daughter; Andrea N. Breon (Donnie) of Jersey Shore, two step-children; Chad M. Rickard (Cami) of Paso Robles, CA and Lori J. Jennings (Thaddeus) of Deerfield Beach, FL, twelve grandchildren; Sapphire, Haley (Jeremy), Kaylyn, Nathanael, Lilla, Eliza, Zachary, Savannah, Matthew, Cody, Travis and Sierra, two brothers; Denver Naugle (Sandy) of Florence, SC and Dennis Naugle (Jola) of Lock Haven, and one sister; Janice Cohick (Donnie) of Jersey Shore.
There will be a public viewing 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2022 at the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore where the funeral will begin at 12:00 p.m.  Pastor Kerry Aucker will officiate the service.  Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.

He was born in Williamsport on February 21, 1951 a son of Clair E. and Betty R. Metzger. Larry was the Operations Manager for Montour Oil for over 15 years and retired from Allison Crane Co.  He enjoyed fishing, gardening, Bird watching and feeding the birds.
Besides his mother Betty R. Metzger of Montoursville, he is survived by his siblings Doris M. Fogelman of Montoursville, Dale E. Metzger of Jersey Shore and Harold E. Metzger of South Carolina.  He was predeceased by his father Clair and a sister Shirley Metzger.
In keeping with Larry’s wishes there will be no formal service at this time.

Raymond E. "Rocky" Hostrander - November 04, 1943 - March 03, 2022

Obituary Preview: JERSEY SHORE - Raymond E. “Rocky” Hostrander, 78, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022 at his home surrounded by family.
On October 2, 1965, he married the late Marilyn K. (Stradley) and they shared 41 years as husband and wife until her death on August 23, 2007.
Raymond was born on November 4, 1943 in Jersey Shore and was the son of the late Louis R. “Bob” and Edith M. (Barton) Hostrander.  He had graduated from Jersey Shore High School in 1961.  He served his country by serving with the US Army and later in the Army National Guard.  He had worked for Alcan Cable for 40 years and served with the National Guard for 37 years.  Raymond was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church, American Legion, VFW, Elks and the Moose.  He enjoyed hunting, golfing, riding his motorcycle and in his earlier years, bowling.
Raymond is survived by one son; Douglas E. Hostrander (Amy) of S. Williamsport, one daughter; Annette C. Watkins (Joe) of Rauchtown, eight grandchildren; Joshua, Jeremiah, Carrie, Renee, Alyssa, Bailey, Samuel and Jacob, two step-grandchildren; Joey and Alexis and four great-grandchildren; Noah, Liam, Jaxon and Avira.  In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers; Randolph L. and Robert L. Hostrander.
There will be a public viewing 7 – 9 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2022 and again 10 – 11 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2022 at the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore where the funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m.  The Reverend Dr. Ronald E. Shellhammer  will officiate the service.  Burial with follow in Whispering Pines Cemetery with military honors.

Dorothy Mae Confer - April 07, 1932 - March 03, 2022

Obituary Preview: RAUCHTOWN - Dorothy Mae (Roupp) Confer, 89, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 3, 2022 at her home of Knarr Road, Rauchtown. A beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed.
Born April 7, 1932 in Salladasburg, one of ten children, she was the daughter of the late Donald L. Roupp and Beulah F. (Paulhamus) Roupp. Dorothy was Baptized at Salladasburg Methodist Church and became a member of the that Church in 1946. She graduated in 1949 from the Jersey Shore High School. Dorothy was married to Robert Karr Confer, February 4, 1950 in Salladasburg, PA. While she had a variety of jobs caring for her family, she enjoyed crocheting, birds, flowers, long nature drives to see the country side and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed Genealogy by keeping a family tree to pass down to the younger generation.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband and son, Robert Confer in 2011 and Forrest (Woody) Confer in 2021, two grandchildren, Shane Riggle and Jenny Riggle, also by three sisters; Dollene Roupp (infant), Eileen Brown, Betty Brown, also by four brothers; Donald, Torrence, Carl, and David Roupp.
Surviving her are six daughters; Dollene (Leland) Ewart of Fayetteville, TN, Linda Riggle of Williamsport, Nan (Jim) Frye of Rauchtown, Barbara (Rick) Bastian of Montgomery, Roberta (Dirk) Flick of Oval, daughter-in-law, Shelly Confer of Rauchtown and Ellen (Rick) Sheleman of Williamsport. Dorothy leaves (16) grandchildren, (25) great grandchildren and (6) great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by two siblings; Jean (Ed) Willits of Antes Fort, Steve (Sherri) Roupp of Jersey Shore and many in laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny Street Jersey Shore, PA 17740. Dorothy’s Life Celebration will begin Wednesday, March 9, 2022 with visitation from 10 – 11 am at Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home. Funeral services to follow at 11 am and interment will be at Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy, PA; beside her loving husband following the service.

Lorne "Doon" Greene - Unknown - February 28, 2022

Obituary Preview: Lorne D. “Doon” Greene, 50, of Jersey Shore, passed away Monday, February 28, 2022 at UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport.
He was born on July 19, 1971 and was the son of Mary H. Greene of Jersey Shore and the late Larry R. Greene, Sr.
Doon had attended Jersey Shore High School and was a truck driver, during which time, he made friends all over the country.  He was most recently employed by Lucky Seven Travel Plaza in Lock Haven.  Doon loved watching any kind of car racing and enjoyed building and competing with his own 4x4 Jeep.  He had a knack for building a great racing motor and enjoyed being his brother Kevin’s right-hand man and pit crew at many 4x4 races.  They especially enjoyed attending the biggest 4x4 race on the East Coast, Gravelrama.  Doon also was a fixture at the Clinton County Motor Speedway on Friday nights.
In addition to his mother, Mary, he is survived by brothers; Kevin Smith and his wife Wendy and Larry Greene, Jr. and his wife Mary, sister; Bonnie Herold, grandparents; Dorland and Carlene Eck, nieces/nephews and their families; Bonnie Caffrey, Barbie Bonanni, Tammy Cochran, Bill McClelland and Brock Smith, step-children; Dillian Green and Millie Green, step-grandson; Warren Baker as well as several cousins.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brother; Gordon Greene and sister; Connie Cataldo.
In keeping with Doon’s wishes, there will be no services at this time.  A life celebration service will be held at a later and warmer date.

Bliler of Avis.  He had worked in the construction business.  Travis enjoyed fishing and hunting, had a love for music and animals, especially his cats.  He had a true love for his children.
Travis is survived by two sets of parents; John W. Probst (Sandy) of Salladasburg and Tina M. Bliler (Dale Miller), two daughters; Payton W. Dunlap of S. Williamsport and Brooklyn L. Dunlap of Montoursville, twin brothers; Monroe and Norman Bell, both of Phillipsburg, one sister; Nicollette Probst of Salladasburg, one niece; Kylee Eck of Salladasburg, maternal grandfather; Norm Bliler, Sr. of Avis, paternal grandmother; Barbara Quiggle of Salladasburg and grandmother; Mary Probst of Williamsport.  He was preceded in death by paternal grandmother; Judith Bliler, paternal grandfather; Charles Smith and Gary Probst and grandmother; Shirley Hemphill.
There will be a public viewing 2 – 4 p.m. Friday, February 25, 2022 at the Tributes of Life Chapel, 1000 Hill Alley, Jersey Shore (directly behind Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home) where the funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Pennycoff officiating.

Shirley J. Smith - June 22, 1934 - February 13, 2022

Obituary Preview: LINDEN - Shirley J. Smith, 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 13, 2022. She was born June 22, 1934, in Williamsport, the daughter of the late J. Ralph and Sara (Blemly) Yoder.
Shirley attended the Maple Springs one-room school and graduated from Williamsport High School in 1952. She married Elmer C. Smith on February 17, 1954, and they celebrated 66 years of marriage until his passing in 2020. Together they raised a family of five children on the family farm.
She was a member of Pine Run United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and the Pine Run Grange. She was talented at sewing, knitting, and particularly crocheting and enjoyed making useful and decorative items for her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking and especially baking - the cookie jar was rarely empty. For many years, she sold milk and eggs from the family farm to friends and neighbors. After her husband's retirement, they traveled the country, leisurely, visiting all the lower 48 states. She is survived by five children, Diane L. (Edwin) Allabough, of Linden, Charles L., of Jersey Shore, Debra A. (Harry) Bigelow, of Linden, Ronald E. (Lynn), of Los Alamos, N.M., and Donald E. (Kimberly), of Linden; 13 grandchildren - Joanne Richer, Jonathan Foster, Timothy Foster, Charles Smith, Jr., Jacob Smith, Jacqueline Heidenreich, Victoria McDougall, Alicia O'Donnell, Benjamin Bigelow, Tazler Smith, Kalem Smith, Kathryn Smith, and Adelyn McNutt; 23 great-grandchildren - Joslyn, Ryland, Jonathan, Phineas, Lily, Carle, Nikolas, Vivian, Isabelle, Carolyn, Juliet, Athena, Matthew, John, Patrick, Margaret, Claire, Reagan, Robert, Ellanor, James, Walter, and Ronan; one step-great-grandchild, Blake; and a sister, Nancy Brown, of Linden. She was predeceased by her husband and three siblings, Gerald Yoder, Sara Brown, and Dorothy Sechrist. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at the Pine Run United Methodist Church with Pastor Richard DeMarte and Rev. Mick Dawes officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
Burial will be in Woodward Township Cemetery. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to Pine Run United Methodist Church, 1719 Pine Run Road, Linden, PA 17744.

Obituary Preview: David L. “Super Dave” Berninger, 80, of Jersey Shore/Avis passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at his residence.  He was born in Williamsport July 28, 1941 a son of George and Nellie (Howard) Berninger.  He was married to the former Mary J. Boatman who passed away in November of 2005.
David was employed early on life by Rayovac and retired in 2003 from Lonza as a controls specialist after many years of employment.  He was an avid golfer and bowler having won many trophies in both.  He also enjoyed sports, fishing crosswords and loved spending time with his family.
His survivors include one daughter: Tami Petrus (Allen) of Watertown, N.Y.; a son David Berninger of Warrensville; Step- children: Barbara J. Holcomb, Christine Delaney, Robert Gardner (Dawn) all of Jersey Shore and his daughter in law Misty Berninger of Newville; grandchildren: Amber Goodbrod, Angela Petrus, Amelia Berninger, Kierstin Goodby, Joshua Goodbrod, Brandon Gardner, Nathan Delaney, Lee Petrus, Joey Petrus, Ethan Petrus; four great grandchildren: Aubree Fink, Chase Fink, Lydia Lockcuff and Camdyn Delaney, as well as siblings Kenneth, Sam, George, Charles, Jane and Sue.  He was predeceased by a son Michael Berninger (Misty) and a grandson Chad Gardner.. She was born August 25, 1942 in Elmira, NY a daughter of George and Mary E. (Nickerson) Ferguson.  She was married July 1, 1962 to William E. “Guff” Huffman who passed December 18, 2020.  Early in life Mary was a waitress at Beeches Restaurant in Jersey Shore, Pa and worked in the meat department at Acme Grocery Store in Williamsport; after her children were born she was then a homemaker. She was a member of the Phelps Chapel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed needlework, traveling, drawing and jigsaw puzzles.  She had a great appreciation for the great outdoors as was evident by her love for camping, hunting, fishing and the fact she was a member of the Wild Turkey Federation, Ducks Unlimited, Whitetails Unlimited, The Keystone Elk Alliance and the N.R.A.
Mary is survived by her son David G. Huffman (Barb Fisher) of Jersey Shore; one daughter Debra J. Boone (James) of Williamsport, 4 grandchildren; Jamey Miele, Elizabeth Cribb, L.J. Boone and Monica Boone, along with 2 great grandchildren; Finley and Case. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by 3 sisters; Theresa Keefer, Mildred Hoy, Agnes Neff and her granddaughter Courtney Miele. Obituary Preview: Jane L. Zerbe, 84 formerly of Burke Street in Jersey Shore and Hershey passed away early Thursday morning at the Masonic Village Center in Elizabethtown where she had been a guest since early October 2021.
She was born February 18, 1937 in Lock Haven a daughter of Russell S. and Violet M. (Ergott) Brooks. She was married to the late John R. Zerbe who passed away August 19, 2005.  Jane was the manager of Luria’s Women Fashion Shop in Lock Haven.  She was also a clerk at the Smart Shop and retired from Kauffman’s at the Lycoming Mall in 2002.  Jane was a member of the Jersey Shore Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.  She was a receptionist for over 15 years with Weight Watchers of Central PA in both Jersey Shore and Williamsport.  She was a member of the Avis United Methodist Church where she was a trustee, chaired the nominating committee and was a member of the personnel committee. She loved her family and enjoyed her grandchildren & great grandchildren immensely.
Janes survivors include her three sons Dennis Zerbe (Salinda) of San Antonio, TX, Dean Zerbe (Beth) of Mohnton and John Zerbe (Lori) of Hershey;  One daughter Danielle Hawkins (Marc) of West Chester, along with her sister Joyce Frey (Kenneth) of Linden. Ten grandchildren: Kamela, Karissa, Nathan, Rachel, Zachary, Alexandra, Madeline, Megan, Carter and Brooks. 12 great grandchildren: Kaeden, Bryce, Emalyn, Luke, Drew, Lorelei, Kevin, Ryan, Chance, Sterling, Monroe & Theodore. Jack L. Lowmiller, 72, of Avis passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022 at his residence.  He was born August 6, 1949 in Jersey Shore, a son of Roland and Ruth (Spong) Lowmiller.
Jack was a graduate of Jersey Shore High School. Early in his life he worked for Doeblers, Dunlaps and he retired in August of 2015 from the Federal Building in Williamsport where he was a custodian.  He also supported H.O.P.E. Enterprises.
His survivors include his siblings, Robert Lowmiller, with whom he resided, Kevin Lowmiller and June Wagner, both of Jersey Shore and Kathy Lowmiller of South Avis along with several nieces and nephews.
There will be no services for Jack at this time until later in the spring when a graveside service will be held at Woodward Township Cemetery.

He was born October 13, 1936 in Warren, Pa a son of John M. and Mary A. (Hultquist) Daley. He was a graduate of St. Bonaventure University in Olean, NY where he received his Doctoral Degree in Microbiology.  He was employed as a microbiologist for over 15 years with West Company in Jersey Shore and Montgomery where he specialized in specific sterilization techniques. Dennis was also employed by subcontractors to N.A.S.A in Cape Canaveral, Fl. and Huntsville Al. where he was instrumental in sterilization procedures with Saturn 5 rockets and space capsule and Lunar module projects. He was a member of and past Exalted Ruler of the Jersey Shore BPOE Lodge #1057. He enjoyed horse racing, golfing, collecting sports cards and diecast models.
Besides his wife, Barbara P. Daley of Williamsport he is survived by one daughter Kathleen Pope of Raleigh NC, along with seven sons; Michael J. Daley of Jersey Shore, Daniel, Joseph, Sean, Patrick, James and Robert Daley all of the Raleigh NC area and a stepson Doug Raesner of Waterville, PA. There are 13 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one brother, William Daley of Warren.  Dennis was predeceased by a daughter Barbara Daley. In Keeping with Dennis’ wishes his family will hold his services at their convenience.  Interment will be in the Jersey Shore Cemetery. Timothy was born on March 20, 1961 in Wellsboro and was the son of Lawrence and Carol (Young) Ward of Palm Bay, FL.  He graduated from Wellsboro High School in 1979 and attended Indian River State College.  He served with the US Army.  Timothy was McHenry Township Supervisor and President of the Cammal Cemetery Association.  He also was a certified journey welder.  He enjoyed hunting, ice fishing and archery.  His greatest joy was to hang out with his grandchildren and family was everything to him.
In addition to his parents, his wife Audrey, he is survived by three daughters; Danielle L. Ward of Cammal, Nicole A. Ward of Williamsport and Lesley M. Kuhn (Michael) of Lock Haven, six grandchildren; Kalia L. Ward, Jayden C. Ward, Hunter T. Kuhn, Josiah A. Mills, Paislee M. Kuhn and Jillian A. Mills, one brother; Lawrence Ward, Jr. of Palm Bay, FL, two sisters; Kimberly Weber of Palm Bay, FL and Sherri Ward of Williamsport and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was preceded in death by grandparents; Lorenzo and Anna “Moonie” Campbell and Raymond and Arlene Young.

Carr June 18, 1948 and they celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary last June.  For over 55 years Ellen was the organist at Calvary Baptist Church in Jersey Shore.  She enjoyed bird watching and was an animal lover.
Besides her husband Norman, she is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Brown (Edward) of Jersey Shore and two sons, Joel Carr (Marie) of Williamsport and Noel Carr (Fawn) of Montoursville; 7 grandchildren, Ted, James, Michael, Katie Brass, Sarah Vincent, David Cramer and Jerico Carr.  She was predeceased by 2 brothers, Phillip and Seth Young. Larry was born on July 7, 1962 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and was the son of the late Waino E. and Joyce A. (Walters) Siikanen.  Larry had graduated from High School, Grand Rapids, Minnesota and had obtained his Master’s Degree from Wesley Theological Seminary.  He also had served with the US Navy.  Larry was most recently the pastor at First United Methodist Church and Phelps Chapel, Jersey Shore.  He also was a member of the United Methodist Susquehanna Conference.  In his spare time, he enjoyed wood working. He had also enjoyed many mission trips to numerous states to help with home repairs and flood recovery.
In addition to his wife Sharon, he is survived by one son; Scott E. Siikanen (Kirstyn) of Northumberland, one brother; Patrick Siikanen (Sherry) of Grand Rapids, Minnesota and one sister; Kathy Metzger (Doug) of Grand Rapids, Minnesota.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister; Claudia Johnson.
There will be a public visitation 3 – 5 p.m. Monday, January 10, 2022 at the First United Methodist Church, 236 S. Main St., Jersey Shore where the funeral will begin at 5:00 p.m.  A longtime friend, Pastor James Lewis, will officiate the service.

Burkholder, ll.

She was married to Roger A. Laubscher, who survives on August 21, 1965 at the Hyner Methodist Church.  He was the love of her life.  They were married for 56 years.
Janice was born on June 26, 1946 in Williamsport and was the daughter of the late Warren and Dorothy (Cower) Francis of Hyner.  She had graduated from Bucktail High School in 1965.  Her faith was United Methodist and she had attended several churches over the years.
She worked with the youth program for many years and she was a past Sunday School Teacher.  She donated some of her time to the Red Bird Mission Project.  She studied the bible by attending several bible studies and served on church council and various synod committees.  Janice enjoyed doing lay mission work and believed in angels and had a collection to remind everyone that angels really do exist.
Janice liked to read and walk with her friends.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren Robert Jr. and Jessica Sanso of Jersey Shore and Parker and Preston Laubscher of Virginia.  She enjoyed going to watch Robert Jr. and Jessica Sanso race their race cars.  She loved to travel with her family and friends.  Janice loved to ride motorcycle with her husband’s and her friends.  She also loved camping, water aerobics, playing cards with her friends and spent a lot of time caring for her dog Raci.
In addition to her husband Roger, she is survived by two children; Tammy L. Sanso (Bob) of Jersey Shore and Brian L. Laubscher (Mindy) of Virginia, four grandchildren; Robert Jr. and Jessica Sanso and Parker and Preston Laubscher, one sister; Judith Butler, three brothers; Jesse, Jeffrey and Jerry Francis as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother; John and nieces; Jennifer and Elizabeth.
In keeping with Janice’s wishes, there will be no services.

Phyllis’ survivors include her daughter Christina M. Mader (David) of Mill Hall and her son Leonard Stamm (Audra) of Wamego, KS.; her companion of 27 years Richard “Shark” Heinbach and six grandchildren: Devin, Myles and McKinley Stamm, Trista and Cathleen Thompson and Morgan Edwards, as well as eleven great grandchildren and her brother Boyd Clark (Bev) of Jersey Shore.
