Departed: 05/11/2024 (Pine Bluff)
Obituary Preview: Alvis “Bucky” Worthen, Jr., 55, of Bearden, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024 at home.
If there is a muscle car in heaven, "Bucky" is deciding which wheels will look best hunkered under its fenders.
And the engine -- it’s got to be tuned perfectly, paired with a roaring exhaust system. The louder, the better.
Bucky will get it done.
He was born on March 25, 1969, in Pine Bluff, son of Alvis Worthen Sr. and Francine Worthen.
He was raised in Pine Bluff and East Texas, graduating from Rivercrest High School in Bogata, Texas, in 1988.
Bucky always had a wrench in his hand and an old fixer-upper in the garage -- gasoline and oil made up his cologne.
He could turn a bucket of rust into a show car and make it run like new.
Bucky also nursed a love for antique toys, especially those with rolling wheels.
During his early years, he won numerous model car contests with his hand-made kits. In his adult years, he owned, sold and built around a dozen hot rod/muscle cars.
Bucky had a huge heart and loved animals, especially cats.
He was hot-tempered at times -- as anyone who knew him will attest -- but he would do anything to help his friends and family.
Bucky was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Stephanie; son, Jory; brother, John; stepson, Kevin Brown; aunt, Kathryn Ramick; cousin Stewart Ramick (Sharon); cousin Maddie Ramick; and cousin Jason Ramick.
Visitation will be Friday, May 17, 2024 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors. Interment will be private at a later date. Online register: www.RobinsonFuller.com

Jerimy Ryan Spadoni - March 17, 1976 - April 07, 2024

Departed: 04/07/2024 (Pine Bluff)
Obituary Preview: Jerimy Ryan Spadoni, 48, of Benton, entered Heaven’s Gate Sunday, April 7, 2024. He was a born-again Christian of the Baptist faith. Jerimy was born and raised in Pine Bluff along with his little sister, Andrea, by their loving parents, Billy and Gail Spadoni. The one thing we do know about Jerimy was his pride in his Italian heritage. He was born with the last name Spadoni and took much pride in that fact. He proved that with the loyalty he showed to all of his family and friends. He was a true Spadoni and he has two people to thank for that – absolutely the best father on the planet and his precious mother.
Jerimy graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1994. He followed in his father’s footsteps by hiring on at the Southern Pacific Cotton Belt Railroad as an apprentice freight car inspector. As a side note, Jerimy took over the same locker his uncle, Leo Harris, used for many years at the rip track. Eventually he transferred to the Union Pacific Railroad in North Little Rock car department. He was going into his 29th year of employment. On the job, he made many new friends. He took much pride in his job at the railroad.
Jerimy was a solid true pal to his friends, many of which began in childhood and were strong at his sudden death. He kept the party going through the years to stay abreast of what was happening in each of their lives by organizing “tea” parties for the guys to gather and gossip! We’re certain these guys will continue the tradition to secure their bond. And raise a final toast to Jerimy and all the fine and secret memories they share. Jerimy enjoyed the outdoors fishing and hunting with his family and friends.
Home was surrounded by a pecan orchard, farmland and pastures. An unlimited adventure land teeming with opportunities to get into mischief (which was a high priority for Jerimy and his partners in crime, neighbors Mark, Preston, Jimmy and others who will remain nameless!) On the many deer and cow paths these boys would search under rocks, in the tree branches, over-turned dead limbs for creatures, treasures, ancient coins, all the things that grunge, curious and little bike-riding boys do growing up.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gail Bubbus Spadoni; his grandparents, Joseph and Elva Jean Spadoni, Jim and Margie Bubbus; aunts, Becky Spadoni, Brenda Myhand; and cousins, Sherry Brown and Ellie Harris.
Jerimy is survived by two of the most cherished in his life, his sons, Evan Phoenix (13) and Ethan Maddox (11) who he doted on. Jerimy was so proud of these two and showed them off to everyone with pride. If they asked for it, he got it. If they wanted to go somewhere, he took them. He will also be missed by his father, Billy; sister, Andrea and husband, Patrick; nephews, Addison, Kaidon, and Sylas; uncle, Joe Spadoni and wife, Betty; aunt, Teresa Harris; cousins, Joe Spadoni, III, Andrew Spadoni, Donna Beckman, Amy Myhand and Bryan Myhand; and a host of other family and friends. Rest assured, his baby sister, Andrea, who adored him from day one will find all these missing pieces and answers to the injustice that was bestowed upon him. As Jerimy would say, “It’s all gravy. You know how we roll.”
Visitation will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, April 15, 2024, with a celebration of his life following at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Bro. Ferral West officiating. Burial will be in Cypress Memorial Gardens.
