Larry Allen Sullivan Sr - November 23, 1951 - May 03, 2024

Departed: 05/03/2024 (Queen City)
Obituary Preview: Larry Allen Sullivan Sr, born on November 23, 1951, in Vivian, Louisiana, bid farewell to this world at his residence in Doddridge, Arkansas. He was a man whose presence brought warmth, laughter, and cherished
memories to all who knew him. Larry's journey on this earth came to a close, but the legacy of love and laughter he leaves behind will endure through the ages.
In Larry's life story, he was preceded in death by his loving parents, Royce Jacoby and Almeda JoAnna (Wood) Sullivan, his beloved son Thomas Dale, and his dear brother Roger Dale Sullivan. Though they've passed on, their spirits undoubtedly live on in Larry's heart. Larry is survived by his lifelong partner, Etchel McCreery Taylor, who shared in his joys, sorrows, and adventures throughout the years. He is also survived by his son Glen L. Peace Sr, wife Lori of Clinton, Louisiana, son James Peace of Oil City, Louisiana, daughter Whitney Frye-White of Minden, Louisiana, and son Royce Sullivan of Vivian, Louisiana, his sister Diana Martin of Atlanta, Texas, and his brother Gary Joe and Kitty Sullivan of Doddridge, Arkansas, and grandchildren Glen L Peace Jr, Haley Lorea Otis, Jesse Peace,
great-grandchildren Noah Phillips, Sophie Phillips, and Bentley Otis, only with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. His family was his rock, and the bond they shared was unbreakable. Throughout his life, Larry found joy in simple pleasures. He had a green thumb and found solace in tending to his garden, coaxing life from the soil with his nurturing touch. His love for Merle Haggard's music was
unwavering, providing the soundtrack to many of life's moments. However, perhaps Larry's greatest gift was his ability to weave tales that captivated the imagination and left listeners in stitches. His knack for storytelling was unmatched, and the details with which he recounted his experiences always left family and friends doubled over with laughter. Larry Allen Sullivan Sr. was more than a name; he was a beacon of light in the lives of those fortunate enough
to know him. As we mourn his passing, let us also celebrate the rich tapestry of memories he has left behind.
May his spirit find eternal peace, and may his stories continue to bring joy to all who cherish them.
A memorial service in Larry's honor will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, beginning at 12:00pm, at Queen City Funeral Home in Queen City TX.
Larry is being cremated under the direction of Queen City Funeral Home in Queen City TX.

Rosie spent the last 25 years of her career working for CPS, helping hurting children. When she retired, Rosie continued to help children through a non-profit organization.
Rosie was a hard worker her whole life. She was always taking care of others. She took care of her siblings, her parents, and was always available to help other relatives as needed. Her home was always open to her family in times of need. Her hobbies included cake decorating, embroidery, travel, playing cards & board games, and reading. Rosie loved to travel both national and international trips. She also enjoyed going on cruises with family and friends. Many enjoyed a beautifully decorated birthday cake or perhaps decorated gingerbread Santa cookies at Christmas. Rosie loved the LORD and we know she is happy being reunited with her parents in heaven. “Grief is the last act of love we have to give to those we loved. Where there is deep grief, there was great love.”
Rosie is being cremated under the direction of Queen City Funeral Home in Queen City TX. The family will be having a private grave side service at a later date.
