Obituary Preview: Linda Lolene Phelps, 70, of Herrin, passed away May 11, 2024, at 11:14 am at Integrity Nursing Home in Marion surrounded by family. Linda was born on June 18, 1953, in Herrin, IL to the late Leroy and Marilyn (Childers) Tippy.
Linda graduated from Herrin High School and went on to take some classes at John A. Logan. Linda loved playing cards, reading books, and watching movies.
Linda is survived by her 3 sons; Gary (Lisa) Followell of Johnston City, Jon (Wanda) James of Johnston City , Joshua Phelps of Charleston, IL , 4 grandchildren; Alaina ( James) Goodman of Marion, Kylie Followell of Marion, Conner Followell of Johnston City and Cooper James of Johnston City.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters; Brenda Boles and Glenda Henley.
A private family service will be held at a later date.

Obituary Preview: Lincoln Hal Campbell, Jr., 54, of Marion, passed away at 11:36 a.m., Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Deaconess Hospital-Midtown in Evansville, Indiana.
Hal was born on January 2, 1970, in Pinckneyville to Lincoln Hal and Alice Faye (Meade) Campbell Sr. He was a 1988 graduate of Johnston City High School and worked as a Security Guard for Burns Security.
Hal was of the Christian faith and a member of Lake Creek Baptist Church. He was an outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing and riding his four-wheeler. He also enjoyed attending tractor pulls and going to the Williamson County fair. Hal loved his family and enjoyed spending quality time with them, playing games and watching his nephew dirt race.
Hal is survived by his mother, Alice Campbell of Marion; sisters, Marilyn (Anthony) Troester of Olney and Carolyn (Raymond) Kowalik Jr. of Marion; nieces & nephews, James (Maria) Troester, Nathaniel (Isabella Noll) Troester, Hallie Troester, Dakota (Rory) Olson, Coleton (Nicole Johnson) Jeralds, Tobias Kowalik; great-nephews, Clayton Schumer and William Olson; great-niece, Aria Breide. He is also survived by his beloved cat, Sandy.
He is preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Lennis and Evelyn Meade & Eugene and Lorena Campbell.
Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 20, 2024, at Union Grove Cemetery in Pittsburg with Br. Kenny Ellis Jr. officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Union Grove Cemetery. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery the day of the service.

Phyllis Jane Fosse - September 04, 1935 - May 08, 2024

Obituary Preview: Phyllis Fosse passed from this life to the presence of the Lord on Wednesday, May 8th at 5:23 p.m.  At the time of her passing, she was surrounded by several of her children and the compassionate caregivers at Heartland Regional. For the last 15 years she had lived in rural Pittsburg, IL not far from the farmstead where her great-great grandfather Thomas Culbreth settled in the 1840s. She was the last child born into her branch of the Culbreth family, and with her passing that generation is gone.
Phyllis was born on Wednesday, September 4 1935, to Benjamin Harrison and Martha Helen Coleman Culbreth in Marion, IL. She married Wilburn Laverne Fosse on July 16, 1955. Together they raised seven children and shared 49 years of marriage until his death in May 2004.
Phyllis spent most of her early adult life raising her seven children on Fosse Farms in southwest Marion where the Fosses have lived and farmed since the late 1890s. When her children were all in school, she began working as a retail clerk at Tempo Department store, followed by a number of years with Medicare-Glaser Drugs, and later in the deli at the Kroger Supermarket in Marion where she found ways to bring her special touch to their deli food.
Phyllis was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church. She loved to sing and was, for many years, the song leader at Freedom FWB Church south of Marion, IL. She was happiest when she had her family around her, and few things gave her more pleasure than cooking for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Laverne, her parents, and four sisters (Frances Wright, Dorothy Buckner, Mary K. Houston, and Betty Holmes).
She is survived by her 7 children. Regina (Leonard) Williams of Pittsburg, Lewis (Mary Jo), Penny (Delmus) Bradley, Martha (Dan) Pender, John (Julie) all of Marion, IL; Mary Beth Bixler and partner Matt Pica of Port St. Lucie, FL; and Randal, of Chattanooga, TN., as well as 18 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 13, 2024 at Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Jerry Schell officiating. Interment will follow at Freedom Cemetery in south of Marion.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, May 12, 2024 at Whiteash Freewill Baptist Church in Whiteash.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association.

Shirley was born January 19, 1936 in West Frankfort to James and Gladys (Gamblin) Brown. She was united in marriage to Jack Lee Cobb on October 31, 1955 in Marion. Together they shared almost 65 years of marriage before he passed away on March 9, 2022.
Shirley was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, that she adored. She was a member of the Friendly Church of God in Johnston City. She was a graduate of West Frankfort High School. Shirley and Jack enjoyed spending their winters in Florida camping in their RV. She liked to read and loved watching the Hallmark Channel. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Fan and enjoyed watching them on TV.
Shirley is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rick (Laura) Cobb of Johnston City, ; two son-in-laws, Mike Veach of Johnston City and John Lorenzo of Marion; five grandchildren, Ashley (Jordan) Willams of Herrin, Tiffany (Clint) Becker of Johnston City, Shanna Veach of West Frankfort, Jason Culbreth of Anna and Micah Culbreth of Marion; eight great-grandchildren, Sadie Cobb, Averi Williams, Logan Becker, Caden Becker, Chloe Veach, Bailey Veach, Drake Culbreth and Drew Culbreth; two sisters, Brenda (Charles) Ksycki of DuBois and Gloria Plasters of West Frankfort.
She was preceded by her husband, parents, two daughters, Tina Marie Veach and Linda Jo Lorenzo; son-in-law, Jason Culbreth; three brothers, Ed, Jack and Donnie Brown and brother-in-law, Rick Plasters.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 12, 2024 at Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Brian Mixon officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City.

Philip was born September 24, 1959 in St. Louis to Andy Rametta and Sherry Harkins. He married the love his life, Karen Samples on May 22, 1998 in Marion.
Philip was a veteran of the United States Army and was honorably discharged. Philip worked as a logger and tree trimer. He also owned his own landscaping business while living in Arkansas. Philip attended the Marion Apostolic Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, singing and playing his guitar.
Philip is survived by his loving wife, Karen Rametta; five children, Tiffany Elam; Felicia (Matt) Helton-Boyd, Christina (Freddie) Davis and Timothy (Amy) Samples, Ashlely Treat; seventeen grandchildren, two great-granchildren; sixteen siblings, Angela (Kevin) Stacks, Andy Roy (Amber) Rametta, Tony (Nicole) Rametta, Adam (Lisa) Rametta, Annette Gaddis, Alan (Rebecca) Rametta, Andrea Rametta, Jack P. Androff, Susan (Chuck) Lawson, Javan Androff, Michelle Androff, Buddy (Tiffany) Graham, Robin (Mary) Hood, Ellen Hood, Gary Hood and James Hood; bonus mom, Norma Androff; two special aunts, Shirley Riley and Joyce Merz. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and several special friends.

Military honor will be accorded by the Marion VFW Post 1301 and American Legion Post 147 along with members of the Illinois National Guard Military Honors Funeral Ritual Team.

Robert Lee Thornton - September 12, 1944 - May 04, 2024

Obituary Preview: Robert (Bob) Lee Thornton, age 79, of Johnston City, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024. Robert was born on September 12, 1944, the son of Grover Laverne and Florene (Reed) Thornton of Herrin.
Robert attended school in Herrin until his parents moved to a farm outside of Johnston City during his sophomore year of high school. At Johnston City High School, he met the love of his life, Charlene West. They were married on Christmas Eve, 1965 and celebrated over 58 years of marriage.
Robert graduated from Johnston City High School in 1962. He continued his education at SIU- Carbondale, where he attained a bachelor’s degree, and later a Master’s. After spending some time as a drafting engineer at Phelps-Dodge, he began teaching wood shop at Zeigler- Royalton. Two years later, he came back home to Johnston City, where he spent more than 30 years teaching building trades and drafting. Mr. Thornton was a role model for many JCHS graduates.
After their son married, Robert and Charlene started attending church with their son and daughter in law at Liberty No. 6 Freewill Baptist Church, where he was later joined by his daughter’s family. Robert remained a faithful man, seldom missing a Sunday service up until his recent health decline. Of the many lessons Robert has passed on to his family, his dedication to serving the Lord is the greatest.
Robert enjoyed being outside, whether it was on a horse, on a tractor, or in a deer blind. But his greatest enjoyment was watching and teaching his six grandchildren. He rarely missed any of their events. As important as Mr. Thornton was to his students, Grandpa Thornton had the biggest impact of all on his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Charlene; son, Duane (Janet) Thornton; daughter, Sandy (Chris) Stanley; six grandchildren, Josh (Kennadi) Thornton, Brianna (Jeremiah) Thornton, Kaci Thornton, Trevor Stanley, Darcey Stanley, and Chase (Ashton) Stanley; cousin, J.L. (Martha) Thornton; niece Darlene West and nephews Mike West, Danny (Sheryl) West, Andy West, Joe West, Tim (Debbie) West. His family loves him dearly.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday May 10, 2024, at Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastors Don Eberhart and Steve Lindsey officiating. Entombment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 9th, 2024, at Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Robert “Bob” Thornton Scholarship Fund at Johnston City High School. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home the day of the service.

Miranda was born on September 29, 1975, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Clifford James and Ruth Shelman. She married Jerry Todd on January 15, 2011, in Marion.
Miranda was a Certified Nursing Assistant at memorial Hospital of Carbondale for several years before her health began to fail. She was previously a sales associate at Wal-Mart and AutoZone. She was also a small independent business owner.
Miranda was of the Christian faith and a member of the Calvery Baptist Church in Hazen, Arkansas. She was a graduate of the John A. Logan College Nursing Program. She also attended the University of Arkansas where she majored in accounting.
Miranda loved listening to all genres of music and singing karaoke. She enjoyed doing crafts and coloring. She also enjoyed shopping online. She loved spending time with her family and will be missed by all her loved ones.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Todd of Herrin; four children, Cody (Shelby) Edge of Benton, AR., Alex Walrack of Marion, Madison Todd of Herrin and Alyssa Walrack of Marion; two grandchildren, L.B. Edge and Suzie Edge; father, Clifford James of Hazen, AR.; two brothers, Robert Munnerlyn of Hazen, AR. and Richard (Amy) Munnerlyn of Sherwood, AR.; beloved emotional support dog, Clifford Lee James-Todd. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Shelman and step-mother, Linda James.
Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City. Interment will be Friday, May 10, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Lonoke, Arkansas.

Melissa was a strong, independent woman who loved her children and granddaughter. She also enjoyed painting by diamonds. Melissa is survived her three children; Ryan (Chelsea) Eubanks of West Frankfort, IL, Daniel Eubanks of Vernon, FL and Nicole Eubanks of Johnston City, IL; one Granddaughter, Amelia Eubanks of West Frankfort, IL; siblings, Vickie, Sharon, Kathy, Mark and Jackie and a best friend, Marcy,
Melissa is preceded in death by her adoptive parents; Don and Linda Eubank, ex-husband, Ron Eubanks and two children loss during pregnancy, Hope and Grace.

Obituary Preview: Gregory Allen “DeDe” Russell, 71 of Metropolis, passed away peacefully at 2:50 a.m., Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the Metropolis Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Greg was born March 28, 1953, in Paducah to Stanley and Helen (Crews) Russell. He married Denise Annette Jones on December 7, 1992.
Greg retired from Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home. He was a licensed funeral director and embalmer for 50 years and worked part time at Lindsey Funeral Home in Paducah. He enjoyed meeting with families he served and taking care of their loved ones. One of the families he served still refer to him as their Angel. He was a preceptor and a mentor to many fellow funeral directors and embalmers that he helped train and give guidance while they were serving their internship and apprenticeship at the funeral home.
Greg was a member of the Waldo Baptist Church in Massac County. He was a member of the Egyptian Funeral Directors Association for many years. He was also a member of the Massac County Ducks Unlimited and always enjoyed supporting their fall banquet each year. Greg was an avid sportsman, that enjoyed fishing and hunting. Greg was also a licensed pilot when he was younger and had a passion for flying. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Denise Russell, three children, Heidi (Todd) Carder, Holly (Kelly) Turner and John Wayne Cooper: five grandchildren, MacKenzie (Jay) Wilton, Dalton Crader, Landon Turner, Lane Turner and Lakyn Turner; two great-grandchildren, Emersyn and Luke Wilton; brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Kathy Russell; three nieces, Kathy Herring, Angela Herring and Jennifer (Brandon) Heine; and one great-nephew, Evan Heine. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda, and Charles “Buddy” Herring
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 4, 2024, at the Waldo Baptist Church with Brother Jack Russell and Brother Justin Wolfe officiating. Interment will follow at the Metropolis Memorial Gardens in Metropolis.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Friday at the Waldo Baptist Church.

Betty was born November 15, 1951 in Harrisburg to Lowell Ray and Julia Savannah (Newell) Holmes. She married the love of her life, John Dale Parton on September 12, 1969 at the Mt. Moriah General Baptist Church in Creal Springs. Together they have shared 54 years of marriage.
Betty was an insurance agent for many years with Modern Woodman Insurance Company. She also served along with her husband John as pastors of the Raleigh Church of God and Life Church of Marion. Betty was of the Christian faith and served in many capacities in the church over the years.
Betty was a 1969 graduate of Crab Orchard High School. She loved to go camping at Arrowhead Lake in Johnston City. She also enjoyed cooking and sewing. She loved to spend time with her family; especially with her grandsons who were the light of her life.
Betty is survived by her husband John Parton of Marion; son, Chris Parton of Marion; two grandsons, Colin and Ethan Parton of Marion; two brothers, William Holmes of Marion and Gary (Kim) Holmes of Marion; sister-in-law, Gailene “Gail” Holmes of Harrisburg. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Delia Alice “Deed” Hollerson and husband Jean; brother, Robert Holmes; In-laws, Clarence and Jewell Parton; sisters-in-law, Geri Holmes, Marsha Holmes, Betty Campos, Louis Hill and Rosemary Stilley.
Celebration of Life services will be 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at the All Nations Church of God in Whiteash with Pastor Tod Parchman officiating. Private family interment will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Palzo with her nephew, Robert Ray Holmes, Jr. officiating.
Visitation will conclude the Celebration of Life services on Tuesday evening at the All Nations Church.

Obituary Preview: Charles “Charlie” R. Edward’s Jr. passed away at his home in Johnston City, Illinois Friday morning April 19th, 2024.
He was born to Charles Richard Edwards and Patricia Ann Marlow on August 20, 1971, in Winnebago Co, Illinois.
Over Charlie's lifetime, he made many friends at the Goldie Floberg Center as a child, Roosevelt Square as a young man, CAIL and then formed a loving family at Chamness Care over 17 years ago. Charlie was sensitive, tender and a great listener. He had a way of conveying his love and appreciation to those who were closest to him. His favorite word was “yeah”. Try to imagine what a positive person he was when the word “no” was not even in his vocabulary.
He leaves behind his loving devoted staff, special housemates, his dog “Scooter”, cat “Faith” and longtime girlfriend Angelina. Charlie & Angie loved to sit outside together in the sun under the big tree. Angelina will clearly miss Charlie and the time they spent together every day. Charlie faced unimaginable challenges his entire life. In his final days on hospice, there were many discussions of being able to scratch his own nose, eat whatever he wants and RUN! A very special thank you to Tomi, Martha, and the entire Sunshine team past and present. They are diligent & remarkable. People who cared for Charlie will no doubt have a reward in heaven when he greets them. Charlie, we love you and until we meet again, we will miss your sweet spirit.
Charlie’s service will be this Thursday, April 25th, 2024, at 11 at Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City.

Obituary Preview: Franklin “Dee” Starrick, 84 of Carrier Mills, passed away 8:45 a.m., Thursday, April 18, 2024 at his residence with his loving family by his side.
Dee was born February 25, 1940 in Marion, Illinois to Henry L. and Opal L. (Shanks) Starrick. He was the youngest of five sons. He was united in marriage to Sharon Kay (Harness) on August 17, 1958 and to this union brought their only daughter, Marlyne Renne’ Starrick.
Dee was retired from Brushy Creek Coal Mine in Carrier Mills. Dee wore many hats during his lifetime; faithful servant, husband, father, Pa to his grandsons, coal miner, cattleman, fix-it-man and friend to many.
Dee was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Free Will Baptist Church in Poordo. He also attended Bethel Missionary Baptist Church for many years. He was also a member of the Marion Friendship Masonic Lodge. He was a 1957 graduate of Crab Orchard High School.
Survivors include his wife Sharon Kay Starrick; daughter, Marlyne Starrick, two grandsons, Zachary Dee and Joshua Lee Starrick; brother-in-law, Harold (Linda) Harness, special brother, John (Donnie Kay) Howat; daughter and grandson by love, Maria and Jakoby Sanders; nieces, Charlotte, Sherry, Dee Ann; nephews, Terry, Michael and Walter and their spouses.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Charles (Dessie), Bill, James (Ruby), infant brother, Calvin Lee Starrick and one nephew.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at the Mt. Pleasant “Poordo” Free Will Baptist Church with Pastors, Keith Owens and Rob Ray officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant “Poordo” Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday at the Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City with Masonic Rites conducted by the Marion Fellowship Masonic Lodge #89 at 7:30 p.m.

Obituary Preview: Evelyn Joann Kee entered the gates of heaven at 9:19 p.m. on Thursday, April 4th, 2024, at the home of her daughter, Patsy Marrs. Evelyn was 95years old.
Evelyn was born on January 13, 1929, to Elbert and Lillie Mae (Lawrence)Avery. She married Walter Dale “Tat” Kee on February 13, 1943. They were married for almost 48 years until his death on January 5, 1991. Blessed to this union, were three daughters, Pasty Marrs, Joey Phelps, and Paula Fischer.
Patsy and Paula devoted their lives to taking care of their mother while she was living her final days on this side of heaven. They will always cherish their time with her and created so many precious memories with her during this time.
Evelyn retired from Johnston City Unit #1 School District where she was a noon hour aide for many years. She was a member of the Gospel Mission Church in Johnston City, IL.
For many years, Evelyn sang in various churches with her husband, Tat, and daughters, known as the Gospel Singing Kee Family. Evelyn and her family sang at many church Homecomings, revivals, and church services throughout her life. She had a love for singing the old gospel hymns.
Evelyn had a servant's heart and a boldness for Christ. She spent many hours calling each and every one of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren’s names, one by one, as she prayed. She made it her mission to try and make sure everyone she came in contact with, knew who Jesus was. She wanted everyone to know her Savior and wanted to see everyone she knew and loved, saved by the grace of God.
Evelyn was a master of hand quilting. Over the years, she spent many hours hand making quilts and baby quilts. She sent many quilts to people out of state and many newborn babies received beautiful works of art from her. She made each of her family members handmade quilts over the years.
Each stitch was quilted with love and many prayers were said as she prayed over each blanket for those receiving them.
Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Patsy Marrs and Paula Fischer; one son-in-law, Dink Phelps, seven grandchildren, Dale (Christy) Marrs, Ryan(Celestia) Marrs, Shawn (Kendra) Marrs, Tena (Blaine) Avery, Torey (Kristi)Phelps, Channa (Travis) Cockburn, Brooke (Charles) Kemp; several great-grandchildren, Dustin (Jaret) Gutwald, Joel Marrs (Brandy), Jacob(Karibou) Marrs, Cade Cockburn, Ashlynn and Lily Phelps, Erin Almaroad, Kynli Jordan, Ellie and Tatum Phelps; Ava and Cassius Sneddon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Phyllis Joey Phelps; two sons-in-law, Larry Marrs and Lee Fischer; and one great-granddaughter, Alexis Joy Phelps; her brother Churn Avery; sisters Dean Williams, Jewell Smith, and Peggy Brotherton, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10th,2024. A private family service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. at Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City.

She is survived by her husband, William Paul Wilson; son, Jeffrey Todd Wilson; four grandchildren, Anthony (Courtney) McKinney, Kelly Jo Wilson, Westley Hutton, and Alyssa Bellemey; several great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Julie Wilson & former daughter-in-law, Andrea Wilson. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Molly and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her son, Paul Lee Wilson; parents, Thomas & Margaret Hindman; brother, David Hindman.

Jo was a graduate of Marion High School. She continued her education at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Special Education. Jo was a homemaker for most of her life and would substitute teach at Johnston City Schools, a job she thoroughly enjoyed.
Jo was of the Baptist faith and a longtime devoted member of Lake Creek Baptist Church east of Johnston City. She enjoyed singing and playing the piano. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had an adventurous heart and a knack for fashion.
She is survived by four sons, Jesse (Keri) Davis of Johnston City, Larry (Stefanie) Davis of Paducah, KY, Frank (Kelly) Davis of Johnston City, and Lee Davis of Indiana; grandchildren, Eric (Amy) Davis, Tina (John) Reagan, Kody (Mandi) Davis, Lacey (fiancé, Ryan Hillard) Davis, Garrett (Jamie) Davis, Dalton (Emily) Davis, Kennedy (fiancé, Brock Dorris) Davis, Levi Davis, Jacob Davis and Anna Grace Davis; great grandchildren, Kolby Davis, Mel Reagan, Gracie Reagan, Daniel Davis, Addison Davis, Jack Davis, Frankie Burnett, Freely Burnett, Hattie Hillard, Buddy Davis, Chase Patterson, and Miles Patterson; three sisters, Katherine Braneckey of Victoria, TX, Jean Kish of Pinckneyville, and Terry Stwart of Marion. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister and several aunts and uncles.

Dawn spent many years as a firefighter’s wife, mother, homemaker, office manager and care giver to her parents before her retirement. She was affectionately known by neighbors and friends as a “Crazy Cat Lady. She loved her cats, horses, and life in the country.
Dawn is survived by her husband, Bob Fleming of Marion; son, Mark (Kaitlin) Fleming of Savannah, GA; grandchildren, Christopher (Ava) Fleming of Pleasant View, TN, Alexandria Fleming of Tulsa, OK, and Sydney Fleming of West Frankfort; sister, Darlene Turner; brothers, Dwight Pollard and Lou Sturman. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Dawn is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty Jean; brothers, Darrel (Debbie), David and Delbert.
