One proceeded him in death Calvin L. Scott, Kimberly Scott (Tampa FL, Carla McAfee (Atlanta GA), Winifred King (Enterprise, AL), Michael Dovidio (Yuma, AZ), and Pam Sloan (Oxnard, CA).Calvin will always be remembered for his big smile and his infectious laugh. He would do anything to help a friend in need. He loved fishing and a good party. He loved his children and had a special place in his heart for all his grandkids.He is survived by three sisters and two brothers. Mary Jones (Fred Jones) Melva Williams, Mammie Benjamin, Freddie Key (Nadine Key), Dr. Johnnie Scott (Jackie Scott) and the late A.C Scott( Carrie Scott) and Brady Key (Maxine Key). He attended the public school system of Dougherty County. Where he attended Merry Acres Middle School and then, Westover High School. He played basketball as a kid at Live Oak Elementary up to his high school career at Westover High. Da’mani was a loving child, a devoted brother, and a devoted uncle. He has always had this very heartwarming smile that will brighten up your day. On October 19, 2021 Da’mani gained his heavenly wings. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Billy Reddick his great grandparents Bill and Gussie Reddick, Thomas and Annie Hooks, his great aunt Evelyn Martin, and cousin Quan Sheffield. He leaves to cherish in his memories his mother and father Anita Sheffield, and Clevelander Sheffield. Two sisters; Trinity Sheffield, and Trinaya Woods. One brother Tramel Reddick (Keri). Two nephews Kingsley Reddick, and Nashton Lewis. A loving grandmother Delois Reddick (Buddy) grandfather Henry Lee Sheffield, grandmother Shirley (Albert) Mills. Three aunts; Shanta (Calvin) Smith, Cynthia (Marcus) Jefferson, and Daphne Reddick. Two uncles; Danyell Sheffield, and Fredrick Reddick. Godparents; Artavius Strum, and Cleola Fudge. A devoted cousin; Calandria Hooks, Tecio Fowler Ryshord Humphrey, Riyod Reddick, and Randi Holiday. He was a loving godfather to Na’Quavus Taylor Jr.
He also had a great love for all the employees at Exxon and his coaches.

While attending Albany State, he became a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. He was a devoted employee for the State of Georgia for many years. He was also a member of Kings Men Brotherhood of Atlanta, GA and also a member of the Masonic Order of King Solomon Lodge # 14 in Albany, Georgia.
Rod was a very loving person, who always had a smile on his face and a joke to make you laugh. Though his time on Earth was well spent, he made an impact on everyone that crossed his path. Rod mad sure that if you met him, you would never forget him.
On October 18, 2021, just before the break of day, he moved from his earthly house in Leary, Georgia to his eternal home. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.
His unconditional love and unforgettable memories will forever be cherished by his loving mother, Brenda Spann (Curly) his father, Leon Johnson (Lula Mary) both of Leary, GA; his loving daughter, Nyla “Dooney” Thompson, a devoted sister, Tiffany King, two brothers, Lemontrel Johnson, (Lawanda) and Trevis George (Jessica) three nephews, Brandon King, Breyland King and Lemontrel Johnson Jr; two nieces, Monesha Haynes and Brianna Johnson, several aunts, Dileta Patterson, Jean Johnson, Ronoris Johnson and Sherry Johnson also an aunt who was like a second mother to him, Mary Jean Knight, six uncles, Joe Lewis Thomas (Celestine) , A.D. Thomas (Glendette) , Charles Thomas (Lena), Clint Thomas (Robin), Johnny B. Johnson (Dorothy) and Issac Johnson Jr. (Cynthia), three godsisters, Courtney Nelson, Alexis Marshall, and Tracey Franklin and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
