A graveside service will be conducted at Mallory’s Cemetery in Chapmansboro at 2:30PM on Sunday, November 5th, with Bro. Terry Forrest officiating. Burial will follow with Drew Whitworth, Carl Whitworth, Neal Austin, Wesley Weakley, Shane Weakley, and Charles Hunter serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View on Sunday, from 11:00AM until 2:00PM prior to the graveside service.
Mr. Whitworth was born on May 6, 1944, in Cheatham County, Tennessee, to the late William Harvey Whitworth, Sr. and Ruby Whitworth Mathis. He was a retired general contractor in the construction business and was a member of Mallory’s Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 10 brothers & sisters.

Mr. Sloan was born November 12, 1968 in Madison, TN to Stephen L. Sloan and the late Judy Anderson Sloan. He loved, and devoted his time, to working with kids through teaching Sunday School, working with youth camps, and many other activities. Mr. Sloan loved music, was a drummer, and was a really great artist. He was a member of Long Hollow Church.
Mr. Sloan is survived by his wife of 28 years, Lynna Sloan; sons, Luke Sloan, Ben Sloan, Levi Sloan, and Bo Sloan; daughters, Mikayla Sloan, Camille (Nathan) Walker, Reagan Sloan, Jessie Sloan, Olivia Sloan, Lily Sloan, and Melody Sloan; father, Stephen (Cindy) Sloan; brother, Jerrod Parnell; sisters, Casey Sloan, and Carey (James) Buckley; and 2 special cousins, Tammy Hardaway, and Teresa Hester.

Mrs. Sechrist was born January 7, 1953 in San Diego, CA to the late Will Harrison and Hope Davis Perry Jr. She was a private teacher/tutor for 4th-12th grades.
Mrs. Sechrist is survived by her husband of 39 years, Adrian Sechrist; son, Christopher Dennis Sechrist and his partner Cameron Scartozzi; daughter, Gabriella (Jerald) Riggs; 2 grandchildren, Liliahna Rose Sechrist, and Elena Grace Sechrist; brothers, Will Harrison Perry III, and Christopher Robin (Cheryl) Perry; and a sister, Michaelle Lee (Matt) Bagneski.

Mr. Lindsay was born on December 9, 1936 in Dover, Tennessee to the late William & Pocahontas Wofford Lindsay. He was retired from McDonald Aircraft after 20 years. After retirement he loved to tinker with lawn mowers and loved to cut the grass. He also worked on cars, gardening and loved his family very much. He was a member of Joelton Church of the Nazarene.

Mr. Shearon was born on November 24, 1945, in Montgomery County, Tennessee, to the late Frank & Dorothy Hunter Shearon. He was a veteran of the United States Army and later served in the National Guard. He was owner and operator of a mechanic shop for over 55 years. Mr. Shearon was mayor of Thomasville and loved to fish, cook, and was well known for his ribs, chicken, and turnip greens. He took pride in his tomato plants. He loved his family and grandchildren, but most of all he loved his Lord and Savior. He was a member of Mallory’s Church.

Obituary Preview: Neada Ray George Carr passed away peacefully at her home in Cedar Hill, Tennessee on September 29th in the comfort of her living room surrounded by the family that she so dearly loved. She was born on September 4th 1939 in Big Rock, Tennessee to Ray and Mildred George. She was the oldest of their four children. On November 9th 1957 she married the love of her life and for the next 66 years they built an amazing life together.
She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. A force to be reckoned with she unapologetically lived her life how she saw fit. Confident and in control of every situation, she welcomed her own and other’s obstacles and challenges and enjoyed coming up with creative solutions. She had a long and successful real estate career, teaching, mentoring, and serving so many. She lived her life with open arms and an open door, extending an invitation to all she met to share a meal at her dining room table.
She was predeceased by her parents, Ray and Mildred George, brother, Jimmy George, brother, Johnny George, son, George Carr, son, Andrew Carr, and grandson, Gunther Helm. She is survived by her husband, Phillip Carr, daughter-inlaw, Debbie Carr, son, Tony Carr, daughter, Mary Castleman, son, Chris Carr (and wife Joan), daughter-in-law, JoAnna Carr, daughter, Eve Helm (and husband Wayne), son, Stephen Carr (and wife Beth), son, Nathan Carr (and wife Michelle), 28 grandkids, 23 great grandkids, 1 great granddaughter on the way, 3 great great grandkids, 1 great great grandsons on the way, many more extended family members, and countless others that she called her own.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Cedars at Carr Farm in Cedar Hill, Tennessee on October 7th. Visitation will be from 10 AM until 2 PM with a memorial service starting at 2 PM followed by a burial on the family farm. Stan was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on July 9, 1960, to the late William Bluford Suratt and Elizabeth Adeline Wilson Suratt. Tennessee is the place he chose to call home for most of his life. He was an extremely hard worker and proudly called himself a truck driver until he had to lay down his keys due to his health, but he remembered those days fondly. He enjoyed watching football (GO TITANS!), hunting (when he was able) and all the fast food. When he entered the room people knew he was there because his laugh was like no other and he would definitely have you laughing. He is loved by many, forgotten by none, and he will live in our hearts forever as he drives the highway in the sky!!! He was a longtime member of Clarksville Highway Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Steven E. Suratt.
