Charlotte Renee Badger - February 17, 1957 - May 13, 2023

Departed: 05/13/2023 (Denver)
Obituary Preview: Charlotte Renee Badger was the 4th born child to Pearl Lee Edwards and William Louis Edwards, on February 17th, 1957, in San Antonio, Texas. She was blessed to share her childhood and help raise her brother, Keith, and sisters, Nina, Lisa, Monica, and Denise.
Charlotte matriculated through the San Antonio Public school system, graduating from Edison High School in 1975. Charlotte was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church. A woman of faith and love of God, she instilled the same principals to her family.
In the fall of 1975, Charlotte married Royce Earl Badger. To this union, two beautiful daughters, Erica and Janita were born. Charlotte loved her daughters and lived her life for them. She was always uplifting, caring, funny, and she taught them how to love and be loved.  It is because of her example that they are great moms to their own children. It was no secret that Charlotte adored her daughters, but when she was blessed with grandchildren, she expressed an entirely different kind of love to them. Affectionately called “Granny Ball”, she spoiled them rotten. If they asked for it, Charlotte would make sure they had it. She loved each of her grandchildren the way they needed to be loved, even when they would try sneaking out of the house.
Charlotte’s love for children inspired her to become a state licensed childcare provider. She was an incredibly loving and great teacher to the children she cared for over the years. In her spare time, Charlotte enjoyed interior designing, cooking, shopping, going to brunch, and maintaining her self-care rituals with her best friend, Sharon Nelson.
Charlotte had a kind spirit and loving soul. She dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren, and she loved her family beyond their faults. She will be missed by everyone blessed to meet her acquaintance. She is preceded in death by her parents; William Louis Edwards, and Pearl Lee Edwards; brothers, Sorney “Junior” Calvert and William Keith Edwards; and sister, Denise Palmer
Charlotte Renee Badger took her Savior by the hand on Saturday May 13th, 2023. Those left behind to carry on her legacy of love and devoted nurture include her husband of 48 years, Royce Badger, her beautiful daughters, Erica Badger and Janita Badger; her grandchildren, Shekirah Marzett,  Marlynn Green, Natalie Tucciarelli, and Austin Tucciarelli; great grandchild, Zahlani Smith; sisters, Pearl Manning, Nina Taylor, Lisa Woods, Monica Edward Hicks; brother, T.C. Calvert; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Departed: 05/04/2023 (Denver)
Obituary Preview: Life’s journey Deacon Ervin D Stokes
It is written that when life begins it is like an open book with many blank pages; each day that we live our deeds are recorded page by page until we close our eyes in death and await that great getting up morning. The pages of this book began for Ervin D Stokes
in Florence, North Carolina on November 14, 1932. He was the second child of nine born to the union of Roosevelt and Verdi Stokes. Though we celebrated his birthdate as 1932, he often stated that he was actually born in 1931. Either way, he enjoyed 90+ years of life. Ervin received his formal education from Pamlico
High School in North Carolina.  He dedicated his life to the Lord as a child and remained committed to Christ his entire life. He was mechanically inclined at a very young age. Always repairing, creating and building things, including go karts. He was also blessed with the ability to grow fruits and Vegetables.
Ervin joined the United States Air Force at the age of eighteen. While enlisted in the Air Force, he married Roberta Bryant, this marriage was later dissolved. He later met a lovely lady by the name Lillie Walker Miles and they were joined in holy matrimony in 1977. The couple enjoyed 43 years of marriage until Lillie’s passing in March of 2020. When he was stationed at Lowry, Ervin became the Commander of the food service. He was also the Chairman of the Lowry Air Force Base NCO club.
After retiring from the United States Air Force as a Master Sargent, Ervin went to Mechanic school and became an auto mechanic. This was something he enjoyed immensely. A man of faith, Ervin became deacon of Antioch Church of God and Christ.
Those that knew him best describe him as an avid sports fan. He loved basketball, football, and tennis. He had an even better time when he watched sporting events on TV with family and friends. He often visited the auto shop in which he worked to just hang out with friends as well as long phone calls with his brothers and sisters in North Carolina.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roosevelt and Verdi stokes; and sisters, Laverda Stokes and Rosetta Stokes.
He leaves to cherish his memory and will be missed by his brothers and sister, Vaughan Stokes , Erma Bell, Roosevelt Stokes Bradford Stokes, William Stokes and Duey Stokes; children , Ronnie Stokes, Marcus Miles and Monica Miles-Wood; grandchildren, Adrienne Wood, Milan Miles, Antonio Miles, Messiah Miles, Emily Claire Stokes and Carly Ann Stokes; great grandchildren, Adonis, M, Jimerson, and Ace W. Jimmerson, and a host of nieces, nephews and loving friends.
