In addition to his service in the fire department, Donald devoted 20 years of his life to the United States Postal Service as a dedicated mailman in Latham, New York. His commitment to serving his community extended to his career as a Landstar Logistics agent and owner for the last 20 years, where he worked tirelessly to ensure the smooth operation of his family business, now carried forward by his son David.
Beyond his professional achievements, Donald was known for his passion for the outdoors. An avid fisherman and skilled bowler, he spent countless hours enjoying the tranquility of the Adirondacks and participating in the County Knolls Men’s Bowling League.
Donald's greatest pride and joy, however, were his family. He was a devoted husband to Betty, a loving father to his sons, and beloved Grandfather to Brooke, Landon and Grace. As we mourn the loss of Donald, we celebrate his life of service, love, and adventure. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, and his memory will continue to inspire future generations. Donald W.
