Obituary Preview: Ginger crossed the rainbow bridge February 11, 2024, after waiting for her "kids" to come for goodbye pets. Ginger was the smartest, most beautiful, and loyal dog ever! She had the best mom who loved her so much! She enjoyed going for "W's" (walks). Just hearing that word would get her so excited. She looked forward to getting treated to a bone almost every time she came in from her favorite place, the backyard! She'd save some for later, hiding them for you to find under your pillow! We'll miss our "Pooks Pics". She was truly the best dog! We'll miss her fiercely and love her endlessly!

Departed: 09/27/2023 (McKeesport)
Obituary Preview: Princess crossed over on September 27, 2023. I got to see and pet her one last time. Then in an hour she was gone. The vet said she was waiting for you. She joined her sister Lola. We were all lost after Lola passed. I told Princess I'm buying you your own puppy. Chena and Princess bonded quickly. Princess loved her pet stroller. She would bark to alert Chena when she saw something on the street. Princess was sweet, kind and protective. I can picture Princess in the kitchen waiting for her supper and in the living room where she slept. She leaves behind her puppy Chena, her two cats Baby and Tippy and her mama. Are hearts are broken and tears flow for we love her so. As we are old it won't be long we will cross over and be a family again. Love, Mama

Max Max - May 07, 2020 - September 24, 2023

Departed: 09/24/2023 (McKeesport)
Obituary Preview: Max Medved-Jewkes crossed the rainbow bridge on Sunday, September 24th, 2023. Max departed this earth in his favorite place to be, in the arms of his daddy. Max lived a long, adventurous life. His favorite activities included barking at the t.v., barking at other dogs, cars, ducks, cows, sometimes he would bark at nothing at all. Max loved going for car rides, going to work with his dad, getting dressed up, cuddling next to his mom, he loved morning kisses and belly rubs. To be honest, Max loved all things life had to offer (except stairs, Max hated walking up the stairs). Max enjoyed catching crabs on the beach, hiking, fishing, eating at Chik-Fil-A and shopping in Home Depot. Above all, Max loved being anywhere with his family. He was his daddy's shadow and his mommy's protector. Max quickly developed loving relationships with all who came in contact with him, so much so that he would nip them if they tried to leave. He has left his pawprints on so many lives. He even went viral once, over a million views for his cutest pet portrait. He was truly the best dog and was so good at so many things, but he was best at showing us unconditional love. There will never be a day we do not think of him; every time a Dorito bag is opened or the jingle from Iams commercial plays, we will think of his wagging tail, sweet kisses, paw scratches and fiercest little Maltese bark. We will miss you forever and always Max. You will forever be in our hearts. Besides his mommy and daddy, Max leaves behind his brothers, Mikey and Gizmo, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and all the amazing friends made throughout the years.

Obituary Preview: Zorro was a sweet loving boy who was very protective of his family and his yard! He enjoyed keeping all of the bad deer and other critters off his lawn, to keep his family safe, of course! It's a good thing he was cute because he barked a lot and didn't always listen, but we loved him so much! He loved his car rides and running though his yard and woods, so that's how we will remember him!

Why are obituaries important?

Obituaries serve as a way to honor and celebrate the life of the deceased, while also providing essential information for those who want to pay their respects. They help to notify people of the passing, share details about the funeral or memorial service, and provide a sense of closure for loved ones.

Who writes an obituary?
