Charles, W. Hobbs III, 74, of Pelham, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully at home, on Friday April 22, 2022.
He was the loving husband of Brenda M. Souza, who passed away Friday February 19, 2021.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, August 29, 1947, the son of the late Charles W. and the late Charlotte (Koehler) Hobbs, Jr, he attended the Pelham public schools, and Alvrine High School.
Charles was the owner and operator of Hobbs Carburetor Shop in Pelham, NH, for over 42 years.
In addition, he was the former Deputy Fire Chief of the volunteer Pelham fire fighters.
Charles also took great joy in owning, raising, and showing his Trakehner "breed" horses. He also enjoyed hunting and going on trips to Alaska.
Charles is survived by his three children; Heidi A. and her husband Kenneth Locke of Union, NH, Shawn P. Hobbs and his wife Cheryl of Pelham, NH, and Jason C. Hobbs and his wife Tammy of Mt. Vernon, NH; his nine grandchildren Tasha and her husband Casey O'Brien, Timothy and his wife Andrea Bergeron, Susan Hobbs and her fiance Gerard Stathopoulos, Laura and her husband John Ventresco, Travis Hobbs, Emily Bergeron, Cody Hobbs and his fiance Becca Francouer, Luke Bergeron, and Taylor Hobbs and his wife Lauren; Three great grandchildren Shelby, Paisley, and Matteo; A sister Carla and her husband Bob Bordeleau of Hampton, NH, and a brother Robert G. and his wife Cindy Hobbs of Pelham, NH, many nieces and nephews. Nils O. Beverlie, Jr. 87, a longtime resident of Pelham, died Monday, March 14th at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua following a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Beverly I. (Sells) Beverlie who survives him.     Born in Springfield, Illinois, December 24, 1934, the only child of the late Nils O. and the late Charlotte (Haynes) (Beverlie) Helms and stepson of the late Walter Helms, he received his early education in Illinois, went to a boarding school in Sharon, Massachusetts and then graduated from Lowell High School. Eager to further his education, he then went on to graduate from the Lowell Technological Institute (now known as U/Mass Lowell) with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.     Prior to retiring, Nils was employed as a plant engineer with Pellon Corporation in Lowell.     Among his many interests, Nils loved riding his motorcycle and working on them and automobiles. He built his house in Pelham in 1964 and has lived there ever since.     In addition to his wife Beverly, Nils is survived by two daughters Deborah Clement of Nashua, NH and Danielle Beverlie of Washington, NH; a son Bryant Beverlie and his wife Star of Portland, TX; a stepdaughter Tammy Sperla and her husband Kenneth of Vista, CA; two stepsons Robert Dufresne and his wife Deborah of Nashua, NH and Paul Dufresne of Lowell, MA; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.     He was also father of the late Nils O. Kenneth L. Connatser, 91, of Pelham, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was the loving husband for over 67 years of Trula E. (Lowe) Connatser, who survives him.
Born in Sevierville, Tennessee, October 11, 1930, he was the son of the late Ernest and the late Ruby (Vance) Connatser.
A veteran of the Korean War, Ken proudly served his country as a Sergeant with the U.S. Army.
Prior to his retirement in 1988, Ken was a plater with TRW in their Car Division in Cambridge, MA for many years.
All about his family , Ken loved spending time with them, especially his grandchildren. He also loved his pets.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son Ronald L. Connatser of Pelham, NH; two grandchildren Scott L. Connatser and his fiancee Stephanie Boucher of Manchester, NH and  Julie L. Russo and her husband Steve of Brookline, NH; a great granddaughter Maddie Russo of Brookline, NH, a sister Patsy Sue Connatser of Severville, TN.
He was also the father-in-law of the late Cynthia A. (Grady) Connatser who died in 2010 and brother of the late William Connatser.

FLAGLER BEACH, F.L.  - Cheryl Beatrice (LeDuc) Rossi, age 81, a resident of Flagler Beach, a former resident of Pelham, New Hampshire and Lowell, Massachusetts, passed away on March 2, 2022. She was the wife of the late Richard G. Rossi.
Born in Lowell, MA on July 23, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Marie L. (Achin) LeDuc.
Survivors include her four children, Richard A. and his wife, Leanne Rossi of Palm Coast, Florida; Elizabeth A. Rossi of Daytona Beach, Florida; Steven A. and his wife Lucille Rossi of Pelham, New Hampshire; Martha A. (Rossi) and her husband Matthew Kupka of Chester, New Jersey; nine grandchildren, Craig, Chadd, Brittany, Jillian, Troy and Gavin Rossi, Lindsay, Abigail and Alexa Kupka; three great-grandchildren, Makayla, Madison and Braydon Rossi; a sister, Janet Rocheville of Duncan, South Carolina; and a brother, Paul Leduc of Connecticut.
She was a graduate of Lowell High School, Class of 1957, where she was active as a Girl Officer, member of the yearbook committee, participant in several clubs and straight A student. As a young professional she worked in the renowned Lahey Eye Clinic and Medical Center.
Cheryl married her high school sweetheart, Richard “Dick” Rossi on October 12, 1959. They lived in Pelham, NH for the next 35 years, where they raised their four children. Cheryl was elected Pelham’s Tax Collector in 1970 and served for 23 years. She served as the President of the NH Tax Collector’s Association from 1973-75. Cheryl was also elected to the position of Town Clerk in Pelham and served the town in this dual role from 1976-1993.
Cheryl was an avid historian and genealogist. She enthusiastically travelled the world tracing her family tree and recently was inducted into the Daughters of the American Revolution, Old Kings Highway Chapter. She was a member for many years in the Genealogy Society of Flagler County as well a founding member of the New England Historic Genealogical Society.
For many years Cheryl, Dick and the children spent summers at the family camp on Arlington Pond in Salem, New Hampshire.  As a retiree in Flagler Beach, FL she loved to spend days at the beach. She was always an enthusiast of the water and boating.
In fact, Cheryl and Dick’s love story began with a chance meeting in the middle of a lake when she was in a rowboat and he in his new speed boat.
She was a member of the Sunshine Club of Flagler County and spent many hours with her beloved friends playing Mexican Train and Mahjong. She loved to bake and her children and grandchildren especially loved her cookies and Congo bars.
Cheryl was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a true friend and adored by all who knew her. She was beautiful inside and out, generous and kind.

Meaghan E. West, 29, of Pelham, New Hampshire, died unexpectedly on Tuesday February 22, 2022 in Pelham, NH.
Born in Concord, Massachusetts, March 25, 1992, the daughter of Joanne M. “Jo” Galvin and Albert L. West and his partner Jenise, she attended Pelham schools and was a graduate of Pelham High School Class of 2010.
Meaghan was very thoughtful and helpful to friends and family and put their feelings before her own.  She lived with an eclectic style and was a video gamer and loved tattoos. She loved the beach, the outdoors, food, pillows, Bulbasaur, Pikachu, and Grogu.  She could always predict what would happen in every show. She loved music and was an amazing  writer. However, her true passion was her love of animals (she volunteered at Salem Animal Rescue League) and especially her cat Ivory aka "Baby Girl".  She was an amazing soul.
Besides her parents, Meaghan is survived her brother Sean P. West and his wife Colleen of Merrimack, NH; a nephew Logan D. West of Merrimack; her maternal grandmother Marion Galvin of Ayer, MA and her maternal grandfather David Galvin and his wife Debbie of Haverhill, MA; her boyfriend Ryan Melhado of Pelham; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Obituary Preview: William Donald Goyette, Jr.   Beloved husband , father and friend;   William Donald “Don” Goyette, Jr., 84, of Pelham, New Hampshire, passed away on Thursday February 17, 2022 at Lowell General Hospital after a brief illness.   He was the loving husband of 48 years of Liette (Faucher) Goyette, who survives him.   Born in Springfield, MA, February 3, 1938, the son of the late William Donald Goyette, Sr. and the late Winifred (Shea) Goyette, he attended Springfield schools and was a graduate of Springfield Tech.   A veteran of the Vietnam  War, he proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force.   Don continued his education with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from St. Michael’s College in Vermont followed by a Master’s in English Literature  from Northeastern University, and a Master’s in Library Science from Simmons University.   In a career which spanned over 40 years, Don retired as the Library Director at Moosilauke Public Library in Woodstock, NH and was previously the Librarian at Pelham Public Library in Pelham, NH.   Devoted to his faith he was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Parish and a member of the choir for many years.
Among his many interests, Don was an avid reader, enjoyed camping, hiking and travelling with family.
Besides his wife, Don is survived by his daughter Diane Goyette and her husband Mike Sylvester of Manchester, NH; cousins Bernard Shea, Mariann Galimbert and Edward Finneran, and many loving in-laws, cousins nieces and nephews.   Friends may call Thursday morning February 24, 2022 at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA RD. in PELHAM from 10 to 11:30 A.M. followed by his Funeral Mass at ST. Found of Pelham, NH and Port St. Lucie, FL Kenneth George Found, 84, of Pelham, NH and Port St. Lucie, FL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 9th at Martin Memorial Medical Center in Port St. Lucie. He was the beloved husband of Priscilla Jean (Lanni) Found who died September 29, 2013. Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, September 18, 1937, the son of the late Arnold and the late Evelyn (Himber) Found, he attended Lawrence schools and was a graduate of Lawrence High School with the Class of 1956. Kenneth proudly served his country right out of high school during the Vietnam Conflict with the U.S. Naval Reserves. Kenneth worked as a bartender for most of his life, first at Stadium Lanes in Lawrence until it closed. It was there he met his life partner Priscilla Lanni. “I stole his hat and he stole my heart”. He also tended bar at the Oasis Restaurant and Pine Valley Golf Links both in Pelham. Before retiring, he was employed as a receiver for Hannaford Supermarket in Pelham for 3 years and previously at Victory Supermarket in Pelham and Derry for 10 years. Ken loved to golf. He aced the 9th hole at Pine Valley on September 7, 1965. He would always be seen wearing a baseball cap and his love of sports decorated his wardrobe. Ken and Cil used to spend every Friday and Saturday nights at the Lo Kai in Dracut where they always had a table reserved for them. He was also a longtime member of the American Legion Post 100 in Pelham. Kenneth is survived by three sons Paul Found Gattanella and his wife Hannah Long of Fort Collins, CO, Scott C. Found and his wife Melissa (Dumont) of Richmond Hill, GA and Marc A. Found of Pelham, NH; three granddaughters Gabriella, Isabella and Abby; a niece Sherri Lanni of Woburn, MA; his current sweetheart Cindy Giovanazzo of Port St. Lucie, FL; and his former wife Joanne Gattanella of Lawrence, MA. Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, January 15, 1942, the daughter of the late Victor and the late Anastasia (Dadak) Lutz, she attended Lawrence schools and was a graduate of Lawrence High School.
For most of her career Marie was a waitress in the restaurant industry. In addition, she was a nanny for Laura Manfredi as she loved as if she were her own daughter.
Among her several interests, Marie was very crafty. She loved making flower arrangements and sewing. Since her beloved husband Adam passed away, she went to the cemetery everyday and played the song “I Will Always Love You”. She also enjoyed spending time with her good friend Maddie Carrier.
Marie is survived by two daughters Kathylyn Nolin and her husband Darren of Florida and Belinda A. (Wolf) Canavan of Pelham, NH; four grandchildren Adam W. Nolin, Avery M. Nolin, Mitchell A. Canavan and Caleb Canavan; two sisters Linda Lombardo and Eleanor Trepanier; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Kathy Lutz and Elaine Brethauer.

He is survived by his brother Peter Zohdi and his wife Cara of Rye, NH; and a niece Nicole Y. Zohdi also of Rye, NH.

Marion worked on the family farm in Pelham with her husband selling their well known corn for many years, In addition, she was a bookkeeper at her husband's garage, Art's Auto in Pelham.
In her spare time, Marion was an active member of the St. Patrick Women's Guild.
Marion is survived by her three children, Diane M. Nelson of Floral City, FL, David A. Bergeron of Northwood, NH, and Steven J. Carl J. Carmosino, 38, of Methuen, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday January 12, 2022.
Our family was not expecting the loss of Carl or for his life to be cut so short so soon. We are devastated by this loss and we will feel the absence of Carl forever. He was a kind loving soul and most fun to be around. His humor was contagious. Carl will be forever missed but never forgotten.
Born in Exeter, New Hampshire, June 21, 1983, the son of Carl Carmosino of Naples, FL and Denise E. (Fournier) Carmosino of Salem, NH. Carl graduated from Timberlane High School in 2001.
He pursued a career as a Union Boiler Maker from Local 29 in Boston.
In his spare time, Carl enjoyed building computers and day trading. His family, especially his nephews meant more to him than words can describe.

She was the loving wife of the late Paul L. Kivikoski, Jr. who died January 14, 2003.
Born in North Andover, Massachusetts, May 14, 1934, the daughter of the late William A. and the late Mary C. (Lane) Boyle, Mary attended North Andover Schools and was a graduate of Johnson High School Class of 1951.
Mary went on to graduate from Lowell State Teachers College with a Bachelor of Science in Education and earned her Master of Education from the State Teachers College at Fitchburg in 1957.
For over 35 years, Mary was a highly respected educator in the Windham New Hampshire school district. The proud mother of six children, she balanced her role as a loving mother with that of a dedicated educator. Among her several interests, she enjoyed reading, baking, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy J. Seligman and her husband Michael of Derry, NH and Ann M. Vaughn of Derry, NH; four sons, Alan P. Kivikoski and his wife Jean of Pelham, NH, Robert W. Kivikoski and his wife Alison of Manchester, NH, David E. Kivikoski of Windham, NH, and James S. Kivikoski of Woodstock, GA; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a sister Joan McQuade of Hampton, NH, and several nieces and nephews.

Donald R. “Donny” Anderson, 63, of Pelham, New Hampshire died unexpectedly Monday December 27, 2021, at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston, MA surrounded by his family.
He was the beloved husband of Diane M. (Sandvik) Anderson, who survives him and with whom he celebrated 30 years of marriage on September 7, 2021. Born in Winchester, Massachusetts, September 24, 1958, the son of the late Frederick H. and the late Phyllis A. (Stewart) Anderson, he attended Reading schools and was a graduate of Reading Memorial High School Class of 1977. He went on to attend the former Boston State College.
Donny was a security officer with Allied Universal Security at Emerson Hospital since 2016 and will be sorely missed by his many colleagues. Well known and well-loved for his quick smile and excellent sense of humor, Donny enjoyed golfing, camping – he and his extended family enjoyed annual trips over many summers, and cruising on his motorcycle. He spent many happy hours with friends and coworkers, and especially cherished time with his family and his rat terrier dog, Riley.
Besides his wife Diane, Donny is survived by a son Michael Anderson and two daughters Lauren and Jessica Anderson all of Pelham, NH; a sister Judy MacNeill and her husband Rick of Derry, NH; two brothers Fred Anderson, Jr. and his wife Martha of South Hampton, NH and Bob Anderson and his companion Dee Moquin of North Hampton, NH; brother-in-law to Donna Good and her husband Jim of Bedford, MA, Gary Tremblay of Bedford, MA and Beth Sandvik of Woburn, MA; and several loving nieces and nephews. He was the life of the party at any family gathering and will be missed terribly.

Currently, Sheryl was an Assistant Office Manager at the Market Basket in Bedford, NH. Previously, she was a Pre – K Teacher at the St. Thomas Aquinas school in Derry, NH.
Known as a good friend to many, Sheryl was always upbeat and thinking of others throughout her life. For several years she shared a daily positive morning coffee post with family and friends but especially cherished her time with her family.

She was the beloved wife of the late Fabien J. Chiasson, who died March 31, 1975.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts January 26, 1923, the daughter of the late Peter and the late Aniella (Piwowarek) Kosidlo, she attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School Class of 1941.
Prior to her retirement, Virginia was an Inspector with the Raytheon Corporation where she worked inspecting and perfecting missile parts for over 25 years. Those were good years and she made many good friends.
A home body by nature, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren were her life. She knew them all and they all loved her dearly.
Virginia is survived by three daughters; Iris Therriault of Pelham, Linda Chiasson of Pelham and Mary Gail Chiasson of Nashua, NH; seven grandchildren Ronald Therrriault, Jr. of Pelham, Kristine (Therriault) Lamarche of Pelham, Sonja (Sadkowski) Parek and her husband Noah of Boston, Sara (Sadkowski) DiIseo and her husband Anthony of Mansfield, MA, Jamie Faye Zummo-Mercer and her husband Adam of Amherst, NH, Stanley S. Arthur B., Bedard, 91, a lifelong resident of Pelham, New Hampshire, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday December 7, 2021, after a brief illness.
He was the loving husband of the late Theresa A. (Dionne) Bedard who died December 27, 2018.
Born in Pelham, New Hampshire, March 2, 1930, the son of the late Arthur and the late Georgianna (Rondeau) Bedard, Sr., he received his education in the Pelham School system.
A veteran of the Korean War, Arthur proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army.
Arthur was all about work and for most of his life he was a carpenter and craftsman. Over the years, in his spare time he would help many family and friends with home improvement projects around their houses. He cherished his family.
He also worked in the plate glass industry, first at the former Demer’s Plate Glass in Haverhill, then with Eastern Plate Glass and finally with Pelham Building Supply in Pelham where he was most happy.
Arthur is survived by a daughter Donna M. Sayer and her husband Richard of Pelham, NH; two sons Rene A. Bedard and his wife Joanne of Pelham and Alan J. Bedard and his wife Wanda of Dry Ridge, KY; six grandchildren Nicholas, Adam, Amy, Eric, Chad and Paige; five great grandchildren Andrew, Madilyn, Amelia, Mallory and Henry; three sisters Carmen Nical of Lawrence, Jacqueline Blanchette and her husband Philippe of Pelham, NH and Muriel Paradis of Canterbury, NH; two sisters-in-law Roberta Bedard and Monica Bedard both of Pelham, NH; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Rene, Emile, Raymond, Roderick, Ronald and Franklin Bedard, Rena Cayer, Lorraine Bergeron, Germaine McConnachie, Simone Greenwood and Gertrude Dionne.

Nashua, NH - Elaine D. (Brown) Ficarra, 88, of Nashua, NH formerly of Dracut, Lowell and Stoneham, MA, passed away peacefully in her home Friday, December 3rd, surrounded by her loving family and her extended Langdon Place of Nashua family.
She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Ficarra, a WWII veteran.
Born in Lynn, MA on June 23rd, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Estella (Blauvelt) Brown and the late Philip Brown. Elaine was educated in the Lynn school system and graduated from Lynn English High School in 1951. She furthered her education at the Comptometer School in Boston and graduated in 1954. Later in life, Elaine also completed several adult education courses at Rivier College in Nashua, NH for her enjoyment.
Elaine worked as an administrative assistant at various companies including General Electric in Lynn, MA where she met her husband. After her children were grown, she worked in retail at Caldor Department Store for several years in Stoneham, MA.
Elaine was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She attended her grandchildren’s activities including dance recitals, cheerleading competitions, hockey and baseball games. She made every effort to support them in all that they did. She loved socializing, sewing, reading books, working on puzzles and watching Patriots games in support of her granddaughter. She also volunteered her time with NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, as well as the Dracut Senior Center.
She was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in Stoneham, MA and the West Chelmsford United Methodist Church in North Chelmsford, MA.
Elaine is survived by her sons, Edward J. Ficarra and wife Diane, of E. Hampstead, NH; Lawrence M. Ficarra and wife Nancy, of Billerica, MA; her daughter, Karen E. (Ficarra) Manelas and husband John, of Pelham, NH; 6 grandchildren, Timothy Ficarra and wife Desiree, Lynn (Ficarra) Ward and husband Brendan, Emily (Ficarra) Michalik and husband Joseph, Nicole (Manelas) White and husband Ryan, Rachel Manelas and Jared Manelas; 4 great grandchildren, Finnegan Ficarra, Corianna Michalik, Marceline Ficarra and Everett Michalik.
Sadly, Elaine was predeceased by her son Richard J. Ficarra.

Among her several interests, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and vacationing in Maine.
Dorothy is survived by two sons, Donald J. Haverty II and his wife Kelly of Pelham, and Robert L. Haverty II and his wife Christine of Pelham; a daughter Dorothy Haverty-Bussiere and her husband Edmond of Pelham; six grandchildren, Meghan Somley and her husband Travis, Maura Bussiere, Robert Haverty III, Kiera Bussiere, Connor Haverty and Casey Haverty; a great-granddaughter Hadley Somley; her sister-in-law Helen Haverty of Westford; and many nieces and nephews. Also, Dorothy was a friend to all and was loved by many.

Paul was a professional and dedicated hairdresser for over 45 years in Lowell and was the former owner and operator of Professional Hair Designers. He enjoyed a successful career during that time with a strong and loyal clientele. When not working, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching his Boston sports teams. However, his greatest joy was when he was with his family, especially his grandchildren and his dog Molly.
Besides his wife, Paul is survived by two children Stephen J. Genikos and his fiancée Kelly Duchesne of Dracut and Elizabeth A. Genikos and her significant other Jeff Hallworth of Derry, NH; and two grandsons Zachary Genikos and Anthony Genikos. Paul was the loving father of the late Christopher P. Genikos who died July 8, 2015.

Pearl was a secretary for Newbury College at the Lowell campus for many years.
The proud mother of five, she was most happy when she was with her four generations of family.

Ann was all about being with her extended family, especially her “boys”.

Philip James Labranch, 84, a long-time resident of Pelham, NH, and Kennebunk Beach, ME, died on October 11, 2021 at Fairview Healthcare in Hudson, NH.     He was the beloved husband of Dorothea A. (Plunkett) Labranch, with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage.     Born October 20, 1936, in Portsmouth, NH, the son of the late Charles C. and Mary E. (Wholey) Labranch, he was a 1955 graduate of Newmarket High School, and a 1959 graduate of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in Boston, MA.     A veteran of the US Army (1959-1961), he served in the Panama Canal Zone.     Phil began his career as a pharmacist at Newman’s Pharmacy in Dover, NH, moved to Pelham, NH, becoming owner of Plunkett’s Drug Store in 1973, which he renamed Pelham Pharmacy. He retired in 1997.     Always active in his community, Phil was a long-time member of the Pelham Lions Club, serving two terms as President. He coached Biddy Basketball, umpired Little League and served on the Pelham School Board for twelve years. He was a member of the building committee for the construction of Pelham High School and a member of the Greeley Singers.     A history enthusiast, Phil loved geography and travel, especially along the coast of Maine. He was also an avid New England Sports fan.     In addition to his wife, Phil is survived by a son, Kevin P. Labranch of San Francisco, CA; two daughters, Susan Dolaher and her husband Mark of Melrose, MA, and Lisa Reddig of Hudson, NH; four grandsons, Ian and William Dolaher and Zachary and Connor Reddig; a sister, Maureen Tremblay, her husband Michael and family of Poughkeepsie, NY, as well as many in-laws, nieces and nephews.     Phil was predeceased by his brother, Daniel C.
