He worked for the Hudson County Corrections Department in Jersey City for 30 years as a corrections officer, retiring with the rank of captain 25 years ago. He served as the president of the Hudson County Corrections Department Union.
Joseph was known as a hard worker and a true family man. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and was always working two or three jobs.
Joseph was the beloved husband of the late Rosemarie Bellino ( nee Annicchero ); the devoted father of Leo and Natalie Bellino; and the dear brother of Francine Rogozine and the late Gerard Bellino.

Born in Union City he lived in Jersey City before moving to North Arlington in 1987.
For 28 years he worked as a Math teacher and Crisis Intervention Specialist for the Jersey City Board of Education. He retired in 2022 from Franklin Williams MS #7. Previously, he served as a Jersey City Police Officer for 25 years and was a member of the Jersey City Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #4.
He was the beloved husband of Jo-Marie (nee Meyers), the cherished son of the late Howard T. and Eleanor Heatherly, the devoted father of Howard Justin Heatherly and his wife Jennifer, Keith and Josephine Heatherly, the dear grandfather of Jenna, Jordan and Jessica Heatherly and Jayden Beauchene. He will also be greatly missed by his many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, coworkers, and friends.
Howard attended Don Bosco Prep for High School and NJCU for College at both schools Howard was a star on the football field. Howard also played softball for the JCPD for 25 years. Having a love for the game Howard joined an adult baseball league playing until his mid 60’s.
The Funeral will be from the Parow Funeral Home, 185 Ridge Road, North Arlington on Thursday, May 16th at 8:45 A.M. thence to Queen of Peace Church in North Arlington for the Funeral Mass at 9:45 A.M. The interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday 4 to 8 P.M. Since Howard had a love for baseball and the N.Y. Yankees being his favorite team the family is requesting visitors dress in N.Y. Yankee apparel if available.

She was a member of the Polish Women’s Alliance of America.
She enjoyed gardening, sewing, shopping, and being extraordinarily independent, including chopping wood for her fireplace.
Genevieve was the beloved daughter of the late Frances ( nee Czaplinski ) and John Bogdanowicz; the cherished aunt of Valerie Jablonski, John Jablonski, Rob Lowe, Chris Whitworth, Ken Bogdanowicz, and the late Ben Bogdanowicz Jr.; and the loving sister of the late Edward Bogdanowicz, Frances Jablonski, Ziggy Bogdanowicz, Ben Bogdanowicz, and Raymond Bogdanowicz.

He worked as a truck driver for New Penn Trucking in Kearny for over 25 years before retiring 20 years ago.
Joseph was an avid bowler, he bowled on leagues at both Bowl-A-Drome in North Arlington and Rockaway Lanes in Rockaway, he was a member of the Secaucus Bocce Ball Club, and enjoyed playing golf and cards. His favorite sports teams as everyone knows, were the New York Yankees and the New York Giants. If he wasn’t watching sports, you could find Joseph sitting in the sun, or enjoying the view of the ocean at the waters edge in Wildwood.
For everyone who knew him, knew he was like a grandfather to all, with so much love and compassion for every person and animal that crossed his path. He always put everyone else first, and made sure to make every day a blessed day. We are so grateful for the years we had together, and will be cherishing every “I love you” we heard him say.
Joseph was the beloved husband of the late Joyce Binetti ( nee Garing ); the devoted father of Laura LaBarbera and her husband Tony, and Joseph Binetti Jr. and his wife Diane; the cherished grandfather of Joseph LaBarbera and his wife Brianna, Natalie LaBarbera, Melissa LaBarbera and her fiancé Dylan Colombo, Richard Binetti and his wife Lea, and Vincent Binetti; the doting great-grandfather of Joseph “J.T.”, and soon to be Giovanna & Sienna; and the dear brother of Joan Rossi.

Pearl was the beloved great aunt to Blake Thayer, Lexi Thayer, Leonel Garcia, Michaela Garcia, and Kai Ng.

Dolores worked as an assembler for the L & R Manufacturing Company in Kearny for 10 years before retiring in 1993. Previously she worked as a dispatcher for the Comcast Corporation in North Arlington for many years
She was the beloved wife of the late Angelo, the cherished mother of Michael J. Luciano, Jeannine Luciano, the late Angelo Luciano Jr. and the late Nicholas C. Luciano, the adored grandmother of Nicholas Luciano, and the dear sister of Linda DelliSanti and Ernest DelliSanti. She will also be greatly missed by her many loving, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be offered for Dolores on Friday, April 19th at 11 A.M. in Queen of Peace Church in North Arlington.

Thomas loved watching sports especially the N.Y. Yankees baseball team and the Giants football team. He enjoyed music from the 1950’s and his favorite performer was Frank Sinatra. He had a fondness for pets and in his youth volunteered at the ASPCA in Jersey City for many years.
He was the beloved husband of Josephine “Joann” (nee Esposito), the cherished father of Chrisanne Yencha (Robert) and Joseph T. Brattole (Marlene), the adored grandfather of Thomas Brattole, Amanda Brattole, Alexa Yencha and Brooke Yencha, and the loving uncle of many nieces and nephews.

John Tzavlakis - May 31, 1940 - March 16, 2024

Obituary Preview: John Tzavlakis, 83, of North Arlington, died Saturday, March 16, 2024. John was one of four siblings born to the late Emmanuel and Kyriaki Tzavlakis in the small village of Selles, in Crete, Greece. He served as an officer in the Greek military and later moved to Athens where he met his future wife, Dimitra. They moved to Kearny, New Jersey in 1967 and later to North Arlington where they settled and raised their two children, Valerie and Emmanuel. John originally worked at Shop Rite in Kearny, then at Otis Elevator Company in Harrison and then Mahwah as a draftsman. He received his MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University and became the Assistant to the President of National Elevator Company in Woodside, Queens. He left National and went to work at Acme Steel as their Vice President of Operations, and finally started his own elevator company, EV Cabco, in Lincoln Park, NJ. He also owned several diners in Bergen County, NJ, in typical Greek form. John eventually retired and became a full time grandpa (“Papou”). He reveled in his new role and doted on all five of his grandchildren. “Papou” could never say no to any of their requests, be it a new toy, some candy, or simply a ride home from school. He loved his family fiercely and was extremely proud of all of their accomplishments. John was pre deceased by his beloved wife, Dimitra, in 2017. He missed her every moment of every single day, but carried on for the sake of his children, their spouses, and his grandchildren. John was the cherished father of Valerie Haag and her husband, Bob; Emmanuel Tzavlakis and his wife, Allyssa; the greatest and most beloved grandfather of Christina, Melissa, John, Kate, and Kenny; the dearest brother of Kalliope, George, and Pavlo Tzavlakis; and the loving uncle of many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews. He has left us with a huge hole in our hearts, and his family is forever heartbroken by his passing.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, March 19 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Parow Funeral Home , 185 Ridge Rd., North Arlington. Trisagion Service will begin at 7 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. George Greek Orthodox Church , 818 Valley Rd., Clifton on Wednesday, March 20 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

Born on September 18, 1925, in Jersey City, NJ to John and Agnus Burke McGuire, Elizabeth lived a life marked by love, dedication, and gentleness.
Elizabeth was a proud graduate of Commercial High in Jersey City. She dedicated 20 years of her life working as an assembly line worker for Western Electric in Kearny, NJ. Her commitment to her work was paralleled only by her devotion to her faith. A long-standing member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Elizabeth's beliefs were the cornerstone of her existence. In 1989, Elizabeth made the move to Cookeville, TN, to live with her daughter, Carol, and son-in-law Bob Faulhaber. Her life in the South was characterized by a series of new beginnings, as she and her family moved nine times before finally settling back in Cookeville in 2012. Throughout her time in Cookeville she attended St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, where she was a cherished member of the congregation.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, John and Agnus Burke McGuire; her husband, Edward Stasiewicz; and her daughter and son-in-law, Lorraine Elizabeth Elia and Vincent Elia. Her legacy lives on through her daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Bob Faulhaber, of Cookeville, and Margaret and Richard Norman, of Archer, FL; her sister, Grace Mirocco of North Arlington; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored.
An avid reader, Elizabeth found solace and adventure within the pages of countless books. Her love of reading was matched by her devotion to her family and her unwavering Catholic faith. Those who knew Elizabeth were touched by her quiet nature, which was a reservoir of great strength and comfort to all around her.
A service will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 10:00a.m. (CST) at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Cookeville.TN.
Relatives and friends are also invited to meet at Queen of Peace Church in North Arlington, N.J. on Saturday, March 2nd for the Funeral Mass at 9:45 A.M. The interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 1st, 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Parow Funeral Home, 185 Ridge Road in North Arlington, N.J.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
