Anna Mitsch - November 24, 1934 - October 23, 2019

Departed: 10/23/2019 (Clark)
Obituary Preview: Anna Mongyi Mitsch passed peacefully through the gates of heaven on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2019 at the age of 84 at her home in Randolph, NJ.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday Oct. 28, at 1:30pm at Resurrection Parish in Randolph followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.  Visitation will be Saturday Oct. 26 from 2:00 to 5:00pm at Parkway Wozniak Memorial Home in Clark.
Born in Adacs, Hungary on Nov. 24, 1934, Anna left her hometown at age 16 to be a fine seamstress in Budapest.  Though a difficult decision to leave behind her beloved mother and two older sisters after the short-lived Oct. 1956 Hungarian Revolution, escaping became modestly easier after dodging bullets while waiting in a Budapest bread line.
Upon emigrating to the U.S. and settling first in Newark in 1957, Irvington in 1962, and Springfield in 1968, she became the quintessential stereotype of a hard-working refugee doing well in the New World through sheer will and hard work.  She worked at Miller's Bakery in Springfield and Western Electric in Kearny, but her leading role was as a devoted mother to her two sons, and later to three grandchildren.  Her cooking was unparalleled as were her homemaking skills, and she was always ready to help her family in any way possible.  She never missed a Hungarian festival where she would most likely be found waltzing or singing with friends. Her tenacity/resiliency was on full display right up to the very end, as she defied medical professionals' estimates on when cancer would ultimately take her.  She was pre-deceased by her husband 'Misi' of 56 years, and is survived by two sons, Michael Mitsch of Randolph with his wife Trina and daughter Elizabeth, and Frank Mitsch of Chatham with his wife Birgit and sons Thomas and Henry.  For those who may wish to donate, please consider the Csűrdöngölő Folk Ensemble in New Brunswick, http://www.csurfolk.org/

George P Goldbeck - August 08, 1925 - May 16, 2018

Departed: 05/16/2018 (Clark)
Obituary Preview: Mr. George Paul Goldbeck, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, has left his earthly home to be with the Lord. George was a complicated mix of determination and tenderness – a successful businessman and perfectionist who gave generously to charity and had a soft spot for the underdog. When he and Carmen moved to the NJ suburbs from Brooklyn, NY in 1955 their home became the weekend vacation spot for all their family and friends from The City. Music, singing and dancing were often on tap, along with water gun fights, badminton, sack races and lots of other fun.
His blue eyes were often steely; but they had a twinkle that hinted at his humor, generosity and kindness. He loved his family and enjoyed being surrounded by the laughter and commotion of his grandchildren on the beach vacations and cruises that he enjoyed planning. He loved gardening and maintained a beautiful backyard flower garden in Scotch Plains, where he and wife Carmen raised their family and maintained a home for nearly 50 years. After retirement he volunteered for SAGE and enjoyed frequent trips to Atlantic City.
George was the son of Gertrude and Bruno Goldbeck, who immigrated to the United States from Berlin, Germany to East Rutherford, NJ in the early 1900s. His childhood was marked by serious illness, including scarlet fever and severe blood poisoning that nearly cost him his legs. The doctors wanted to amputate but his father would not allow it. When George was a teenager, his older brother Mal left for the armed forces and his beloved mother Gertrude contracted bone cancer. George hurried home from school to relieve the nurse and care for his mom while his father minded the jewelry store that he had opened after arriving from Germany. She passed away when he was 15.
George graduated from East Rutherford High School, where he was known for his debating skills. Some suggested he enjoyed “an argument for argument’s sake,” but that’s a point that George would argue ). At age 17 during WWII, he joined the army air corps. He came back to East Rutherford after the war and could be seen traveling around town in a 12 cylinder Lincoln Zephyr. His love of cars continued throughout his life - At age 92, he could still be seen behind the wheel of his Jaguar XKR convertible.
George and Carmen were married 61 years. He was with her every day when she was in hospice, and his loving care and tenderness during her months there will be long remembered. His mischievous spirit will be missed by his children, Paul (Anna), Joanne (Glenn), and Robert (Kathy); his brother-in-law, Joe (Denise); his grandchildren, Kieran, Lydia, Madeline, Carolynne, Jacqueline, Heather and Colin; nephews George, (Debbie) Pat and Joseph (Kerry); his niece Kassandra (Austin); and all those in his extended family. Go in peace George. You have earned your rest. The physical constraints, the pain and the indignities of failing health are now just a memory. You will walk together again with Carmen, your loving wife. Your legs will be strong and the pain will be gone. She will thank you for the way you devoted yourself to her care when she was in hospice and you will show her how light you are on your feet as the Latin rhythms play and you dance together under the stars.
Know that we love you now and will love you always.  We will see you again one day in Heaven.  Until then, God bless you and keep you forever.
Friends and family are invited to gather beginning at 10 am Saturday 5/19 at the Parkway Wozniak Memorial Home 211 Westfield Ave. Clark, NJ 07066.  The funeral service will begin at 12 noon at the funeral home.

Ryszard "Richie" Kazimierczak - February 06, 1961 - March 25, 2018

Departed: 03/25/2018 (Clark)
Obituary Preview: Ryszard, “Richie” Kazimierczak passed away peacefully after an extended illness and a brief stay at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester, PA. He died surrounded by loving family members and his wife Georgia by his side.
Richie was very proud of his Polish heritage. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Leontyna Suchocki and Waclaw Kazimierczak of Poland.  Richie was born in Newark, NJ.  He was the youngest of six children. His loving mother and five adoring sisters doted on him. At the tender age of eleven, Richie’s father met an untimely death, which left a vacancy in Richie’s heart.  Later this gap would be filled, when he met the love of his life and soul mate, Georgia, “Gigi”.  Their first meeting was at the wedding of Richie’s cousin, Robert Suhoski to Georgia’s sister, Lori.  Richie and Georgia spent the early 80’s inseparable but their time together was not yet meant to be….Life’s journey eventually lead them on separate paths.  Richie and Georgia married others and each was blessed with a beautiful child, Richard Kazimierczak and Lauren Raffie. After a long separation, Richie and Georgia were reunited once again at the 50th wedding anniversary of Richie’s Uncle Chet and Aunt Iris Suhoski.  Richie and Georgia embraced and Richie whispered into his reclaimed soul mate’s ear, “Never let me go.”  Georgia and Richie were finally wed on October 5th, 2007 overlooking the mansion at Ridley Creek State Park in Media, PA.
Like his father, Richie loved fresh water fishing but on occasion enjoyed deep-sea fishing. He was a true music aficionado.  He went to many concerts, too many to count!  He appreciated blues to heavy metal.  In his earlier days he dabbled with the drums for fun.
Richie was very fond of wildlife, especially birds. His favorites were bald eagles, cardinals, robins and hummingbirds. Georgia and Richie had a hummingbird that visited them and they named her, “Harriet.” Harriet nested in the tree next to their deck. They derived much pleasure from watching Harriet raise two babies.  One of Richie’s favorite pastimes was viewing the live eagle cam in Hanover, PA.  Richie also loved cats, as any friends on Facebook would know from his “Caturday” postings every Saturday.  His Maine Coon cats, Cecil and Lola were his babies and he cared for them as such.
Richie was blessed with a great sense of humor.  He had a quick wit and an infectious laugh. Richie had a love of old black and white movies.  Some of his favorites were, It’s a Wonderful Life, and March of the Wooden Soldiers.  He loved The Little Rascals and would get together with his male cousins and quote all of their most favorite scenes verbatim and crack each other up endlessly!  Richie loved the movie Titanic starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet which showed his romantic side.
Richie occasionally enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and playing the lottery.  Richie was an avid sports fan rooting for the Mets and the NY Giants.  Richie also enjoyed Fantasy baseball and football.
Richie was a consultant/salesperson for nearly 40 years working in the HVAC industry in NJ and PA.  He had a great work ethic and was a dedicated employee. His most recent employer was R.E. Michel Inc. of West Chester, PA.
Family was of utmost importance to Richie and he was proud of his large close knit family.  He very much looked forward to the annual family picnic tradition started by his nieces.  It meant so much to him seeing his many aunts, uncles, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins that he so dearly loved.  Most importantly Richie will be missed for his beautiful spirit, genuine kindness, humor, sensitivity and caring nature.
He leaves behind his ever-loving and devoted wife Georgia, his son, Richard Kazimierczak and his fiancé Kassandra and granddaughter, Avery and stepdaughter Lauren Raffie. Richie leaves behind five beloved sisters: Teresa Wodjyla, her husband John, Barbara Sudylo, Krystyna Pankiw and her husband Walter, Diana Kazimierczak, Lucy D’Agostino and her husband Bobby.  Richie leaves behind his Aunt Irene Jaszyn whom he loved as a second mother (with their shared birthday) and his cousin Chris Jaszyn whom he loved as a brother.  Richie also leaves behind many other beloved cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends.
In Memory of Ryszard Kazimierczak, a donation to Neighborhood Hospice, in lieu of flowers would be greatly appreciated. Neighborhood Hospice 795 East Marshall Street Suite 204 West Chester, PA 19380
Georgia Kazimierczak personally thanks Christopher Feryo of  Founds Funeral Home, 229 South High Street, West Chester, PA 19382 for cremation services and for his caring guidance. www.FoundsFuneralHome.com A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 1-3 pm at: Parkway Wozniak Memorial Home (Krowicki Gorny) 211 Westfield Avenue Clark, NJ 07066 www.ParkwayWozniak.com
