Tom was born on January 19, 1965 to Charles and June Morreale and spent his youth in Ewing and Hopewell, NJ. He graduated from Hopewell Valley in 1983 and attended the University of Utah and Arizona State University before relocating to California in 1988. By age 25, Tom owned and managed a successful semi-conductor firm in Chatsworth CA., eventually transitioning his interest to real estate, and managing multiple commercial and residential properties.

Tom will be remembered for being kindhearted, generous, funny, the life of the party, quick witted, and most of all for being a devoted and loving father to his daughter Madison.

Tom had a passion for family, friends, dogs, traveling, food, music and attending concerts and shows. Tom and Madison visited NJ family summers and holidays, spending time in Cape May, Philly and NYC with stops at The Lobster House, Pat’s, Geno’s, Delorenzo’s and Broadway. Tom is a true legend and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Tom is survived by his daughter, Madison, his father Charles, his mother June, brothers Charles and Glenn (Laura), and nephews Lucas and Ben.

Funeral services will be held at the Parkside Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 1584 Parkside Ave., Ewing, NJ 08638. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Tom’s life on Thursday September 30th for visitation from 6-8pm and a funeral service on Friday October 1st at 10am. Samuel Benjamin Cortina - May 29, 1925 - February 06, 2021

Obituary Preview: Samuel Benjamin Cortina, age 95, of Pennington, NJ, entered into God’s eternal rest on Saturday, February 6, 2021. Born and raised in Trenton, NJ, Sam was a lifelong area resident, residing in Mercerville for 56 years. He was a graduate of Trenton Central High School Class of 1943, he received his Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education from Trenton State Teachers College and his Masters in Education from Rutgers University. In high school he was All-State in both football and track. He captained the Trenton State Varsity Football team as a freshman, upon returning from WWII. Samuel was a teacher, principal, and assistant superintendent in the Trenton School system for over 40 years. Sam served as the Principal at Monument, Woodrow Wilson, and Grant Elementary Schools prior to serving as the Vice-Principal at Junior 2 and then as Principal at Junior 4.

Sam served in the U.S. Coast Guard in the North Atlantic during World War II beginning in August of 1943 until his honorable discharge on April 1, 1946. Sam was involved in many civic and social activities in the Trenton area. He was associated with the Boys Club of Trenton and the Trenton Jewish Community Center “JCC” for over 20 years. He was a member of the Hamilton Knights of Columbus Council No. 6213 where he served as a 3rd Degree Knight, a member of the D.A.V. Chapter 41 of Hamilton, a member of the V.F.W. Post 3525 of Hamilton, and a member of the FERMI Federation. He was a member and Official Emeritus of the Delaware Valley Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame. He was certified as an NJSIAA football official in 1949 and also administered the NJ State Cadet Training Program that trained others to become football officials. Sam officiated football and track on the field well into his 80’s, at the concern of his children, for a total of almost 60 years. As a concession, he resigned to running the clock for the remainder of his career. A lifelong learner, it was necessary for him to learn how to use the computer and the Internet in order to receive his scheduling assignments for track and football.

Sam was a parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows Church since 1961. He was a loving and devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and mentor to many.

Son of the late Luigi and Mary (DeReno) Cortina; husband of 70 years to the late Gilda (DiPastina) Cortina; brother of the late Gino, Pasquale “Pat”, Louis Cortina, and Antonia (Cortina) Frascella; Samuel is survived by his four children, Dr. Gary A. Cortina and wife Leslie, Dr. Gregory S. Cortina and wife Donna, Jane R. Cortina-Demorest and husband Mark Demorest, Dr. Karen G. Cortina Davis and husband Mike Davis; seven grandchildren, Michael Cortina, Christopher Cortina and wife Jamie, Douglas Cortina, Brian Cortina and wife Cathie, Matthew Cortina, Lauren Williams and husband Jeff, Gregory Davis and wife Rachel; six great-grandchildren, Samuel, Ben, Julia, Lily, Rowen, and Brooke; sisters-in-law, Florence and husband Andy DePativo, and Dorothy Cortina (Gino); and cousin, Pasqualino “Lino” Cortina and wife Geri; as well as many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Born in Trenton, NJ she was a life long area resident. Betty as she was affectionately known was a graduate of Trenton Central High School Class of 1959. She was a dedicated employee for the State of New Jersey Department of Health for 25 years prior to her retirement. Betty formerly served as President of the the Ewing Township Republican Club, a member of the Women’s Contemporary Club of Trenton, and a member of the Republican Club of Berlin, Maryland. When Ewing Township changed to a mayor council form of government she was the first woman elected to the council and was the first woman on the Charter Study Committee.

Betty was good at ice skating, and loved to decorate her home for every holiday. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Daughter of the late James and Rose (Vannucci) Ferrazzano; sister of the late, Robert Ferrazzano; sister-in-law of the late Dominic DiCara; she leaves behind to mourn her loss, her loving husband of 29 years, Joseph A. She was an ex-competitive square dancer with the Circle 8. She loved to knit, and frequently made hats for both cancer patients and newborn babies and preemies. She was a loving and devoted wife, step-mother, step-grandmother, God-mother, cousin and friend to many.

Daughter of the late John and Helen (Patrician) Zarosa; beloved wife for 18 years to the late Arthur Lindbloom; step-grandmother to the late Lindy Carlton; and her late beloved cat Sophie. She was born to the late Philomena and Joseph Canulli of West Trenton and was a graduate of Trenton High School. She worked for many years at Arctic Ice Cream and was a life-long, faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. She was a member of the West Trenton Ladies Auxiliary and belonged to the Ewing Live Wires where she enjoyed the friendship of other club members on their many road trips.

Edith was preceded in death by her first husband, Gaetano Lanzi Jr. and later by her second husband, Michael Guadagno II. She is survived by her son Guy L. Lanzi and wife Maureen; her daughter, Donna Gillespie and husband, Richard; and, sonvMichael Guadagno III and wife Lydia. She is also survived by her three grandchildren Erin Gillespie (Mike), Peter Lanzi and Megan Gillespie. Edith also enjoyed the adoration and companionship from countless nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. Edith was the last surviving sibling of her family and was predeceased by her three sisters and six brothers.

Family and friends were Edith’s passion and delight. She was appreciated for her feistiness, her honesty and love of family. She enjoyed gardening and nature, was an avid Yankees fan (would not hesitate to curse at the TV when things weren’t going her way), and learned to master the art of making homemade pasta from her mom. In her later years, she was known to hop onto NJ Transit into New York City to catch the latest Broadway shows.

Growing up in Rhode Island, Bud loved the snow but also loved to soak up the sun spending many days in his pool reading the paper. He loved to be outdoors, riding his bike, fishing and going to the beach. Bud enjoyed shooting pool with his friends. He loved milkshakes and hotdogs from Sonic and when at the beach having fried clams. Buddy loved traveling and took many trips to Italy, visiting Rome and practicing to speak Italian.

Buddy had a beautiful smile and had a pleasant and happy demeanor about him. He lost his son Eric and deeply grieved the loss of him. Buddy was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and friend to many. His loss is felt deeply by those who knew and loved him.
