Debra Jackson Minton - Unknown - April 22, 2022

Departed: 04/22/2022 (Parker)
Obituary Preview: It is with much sadness to share that Debra Jackson Minton, 74, of Littleton, CO, passed away from natural causes April 22nd, 2022.
Debra was predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Nancy, her long-time partner, John, and her beloved son, Tyler.  She is survived by her daughter, Lisa, three grandchildren, Lauren, Bella and Reagan, and daughter-in-law, Heather.
Debra grew up in Denver, CO where she attended East High school.  She excelled academically and was offered a partial scholarship to the University of Colorado.  However, due to family finances and obligations, she declined the scholarship.  Instead, she accepted a position in distribution at Western Electric.  After a 15-year tenure there, she left the workforce to pursue her long-desired college degree in Finance, eventually becoming the first member of her family to “turn the tassel.”  Upon earning her degree, she joined the Veteran’s Administration as a claims adjudicator, where helping military members and their families became her passion.  She retired from the VA a decade ago to spend more time with her friends and family, particularly her treasured grandchildren.  She enjoyed gardening, antiquing, scrapbooking, cake decorating, genealogy, traveling, lunching with “the ladies” and would do just about anything for any animal. While Debra struggled with health issues in recent years, she remained strong.  She was, among many other things, very smart, generous, loving, empathetic, intuitive, wise and witty.  She possessed an uncanny way of telling stories, and punctuated every tale with her incredible sense of humor.  As she would say during this very difficult time, “Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the opera?”
Services will be held at Parker Funeral Home May 16th at 1:00 (10325 Parkglenn Way, Parker), with a short remembrance at Parker Cemetery after, followed by a luncheon at Parker Garage at 2:30 (19420 Mainstreet, Parker).  All are welcome.
Contributions in memory of Debra can be made to the ASPCA or Wounded Warrior Project.

John G. Wilson - June 25, 1957 - April 03, 2022

Departed: 04/03/2022 (Parker)
Obituary Preview: John “Johnny” Gale Wilson passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at the age of 64 in his home in Elizabeth, Colorado. When he passed, he was with his favorite person in the entire world — his wife of 47 years, Virginia Wilson.
John was born in Denver, Colorado, on June 25, 1957, to Pauline Chavez and Ted Wilson. He had five siblings and was born in the middle: Steve, Dawn, Larry, Ted, and Ed.
He fell in love with Virginia Ann Quintia at a young age, and they welcomed their daughter, Angela Lynn, to the world on January 23, 1975. He married Virginia on September 3, 1987 at the Heritage Square Chapel in Golden, Colorado. John was one of the hardest working men and spent many years as an over-the-road truck driver, warehouse supervisor at Acme, and highway foreman for the Colorado Department of Transportation before his retirement.
John was the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back if needed. Over the years, John and Virginia adopted many animals in need, helped support and take care of family members, and gave as much to those around them. His giving heart was truly unrivaled. On March 21, 2018, John and Virginia adopted the light of their lives, Virginia’s great-nephew, JJ. Although the adoption wasn’t official until 2018, they loved and raised him when he was a baby and couldn’t wait to call him their son officially. JJ and John were partners in crime, constantly stirring up trouble, just as dads and their boys do.
Those who knew John know he was a cowboy. He loved fishing, camping, and breathing in the fresh mountain air. He taught his daughter and granddaughters how to fish and loved camping. He enjoyed watching old western movies, going to the National Western Stock Show, and playing video games with JJ. When his oldest granddaughter graduated from high school, John and Virginia traveled to Oahu with their family to celebrate, and he loved it there.
There is no memorial service scheduled at this time. Please donate to the Esophageal Cancer Awareness Association (EC Aware) in lieu of flowers. Please join us and wear periwinkle every April in John’s memory on behalf of John's family.

Clarence has one sister, Donna Jean Pohja (83) who continues to live in Newberry. Clarence worked with his father at the sawmill, the Sugarbush, the home garden and building two cabins on Round Lake.
Clarence left Michigan to pursue his education in Nursing. As a student nurse his peers decided they would call him Rocky going forward. So Rocky it was, and later others knew him as Grandpa Rocky. While on one of his nursing rotations he met and fell in love with Carole Seufert. They married May 30th, 1958, and lived on Long Island where Clarence began working at Northport VA. His work primarily was in psychiatric nursing as well as outpatient care. He and his wife raised three children, Jeannie, Dan, and Karen. As a young family their free time was spent visiting friends and relatives near and far, as well as enjoying the beach and neighborhood get togethers.
In 1966, Clarence was drafted and served as a Captain in the Army Nurse Corp during the Vietnam War. The assigned tour took him and the family to San Antonio, Texas for basic training and then to William Beaumont Hospital in El Paso, Texas. When the family was able to vacation, they traveled in their StarCraft tent camper to all different regions of the country. These trips brought us thousands of memories to cherish forever.
Clarence and family returned to NY, and he continued his education. He received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Adelphi University. Clarence went on to achieve his Nurse Practitioner license with a certification in Infection Control. After being in Texas having seen so much of the country, Clarence and Carole requested a transfer to Fort Lyon VA where they made La Junta, Colorado their home. Here they raised their children. They were members of the United Methodist Church in La Junta, Colorado where Clarence was an usher and took part in United Methodist Men’s Fellowship. Years later Clarence retired from the Veterans Administration after 31 years of service. Clarence and Carol enjoyed traveling across the country. His hobbies included bowling, golfing, fishing, pinocle and cribbage and he was well-read and had an immense knowledge of geography and history. Clarence’s love of cribbage began as a youth and continued through the years. Recently he was the standing champion in the cribbage tournament at Parker Suites.

Clarence continued to work part time with To the Rescue which is an organization that supports clients getting to and from their critical health appointments. Being a retired nurse Clarence was well-suited for this position.

Obituary Preview: Penne Sue (McClintock) Jordan, 66, of Franktown, Colorado passed away on March 26, 2022 in Lone Tree, Colorado.  Penne was born on July 23, 1955 in Seattle, Washington to the late Donald and Sharon Kathleen (Burns) McClintock.  She was raised in Seattle, attending Tyee High School and graduating in 1973, as well as attending Highline Community College in Seattle.  She graduated from West Seattle Beauty School in 1978 enjoying being a hair stylist for a number of years.  Later Penne attended Arapahoe Community College in Littleton, Colorado in the late 90's taking classes towards a Microsoft Certified System Engineer degree. Penne certainly was a very loving wife, mother, and homemaker and she retired early from hairdressing in order to be at home to care for her husband after his life altering injury.
Penne and her twin sister Kandy were canine lovers! From the many dogs that always seemed to follow them home from grade school to their mysterious appearances in their home in later years, dogs were always a part of her life.  She belonged to many Great Dane and Boxer Clubs and participated in both AKC and UKC dog show events, finally finishing her AKC Champion Boxer, Merlin, in 2016.  While working as a hair stylist in Seattle in 1988, friends introduced her to a guy who would later become her husband. She had a Great Dane at the time, and so did he, thus beginning the Jordan Kennel.  Penne married her husband John Richard Jordan on April 28, 1990.  After marriage, and the later birth of their son, they made the long trip to Colorado where they would make their home. With the advent of home computers, she became fascinated by them and took advanced classes to improve her abilities with them.  She also began developing and maintaining web pages for her friends and dog clubs, all the while making sure that her husband and son were well taken care of.  She doted over her son to the extreme and loved going to see his sporting events, T-ball, soccer, and swim meets.  She did avoid his martial arts classes for fear of seeing him get hurt, but he succeeded in getting his black belt.
Penny is survived by her loving husband John Jordan of  Franktown, CO, her son John Jordan II, of Colorado Springs, CO, her mother, Sharon Kathleen (Burns) McClintock of Ocean Shores, WA, a brother Tony John (Maryann) McClintock, also of Ocean Shores, WA, a brother-in-law Thomas L. (Kathleen) Jordan of Sutton, AK, a sister-in-law Joyce A (Edgar) Oppenheimer of Burlington, MA, and many nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
She was predeceased by her father, Donald Leroy McClintock and her identical twin sister, Kandy Dawn McClintock.
