Nilsa Eva Rivera (Santiago) - October 14, 1947 - January 26, 2024

Departed: 01/26/2024 (Medford)
Obituary Preview: Nilsa E. Rivera, age 76, of Camden, NJ passed away on January 26, 2024.
Nilsa was born in Yauco, Puerto Rico to the late Felipe and Maria Santiago. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her husband, family and friends. She was such a hard-worker. She had numerous jobs but one of her favorites was working at the Elementary School where she was loved by all the students. Although she was taken from us so suddenly she will forever leave a mark in everyones heart who knew her. She might be tiny in peoples eyes but she was definitely mighty. Her presence was always known. Her personality greater than most. Her smile made everyone smile and lit up the room. Her love made you feel at home and safe. She always gave her all and never gave up on anything or anyone. She was a fighter and had the heart to prove it. She was one of the bravest, smartest, prettiest and big hearted women you would of and wanted to know. She was known as Nilsa to all, Jefa (Boss) to many, My love (mi Corazon) to her husband, Mommy to her boys and Nema to her granddaughters.
Nilsa is survived by her beloved husband of over 50 years, Francisco A. Rivera; their children, Joel and Francisco Rivera; and grandchildren, Addison, Lamaya, and Zariah Rivera. Her oldest son Joel and fiancé Shantel as well as her youngest son Francisco and wife Trisha will have to bear the reality that their home will now be missing a piece of their happiness now that their mother has passed on. Her granddaughters, also known as her Nenas, couldn’t express the hurt and sadness that they felt losing future vital time, occasions, experiences and memories with the women that played such an important part to help raise them into the young women they are now. As we are sure everyone loved Nilsa tremendously, the love she felt for her Nenas and the love they feel for her is so much more then we could explain. Her Family was her life. She loved with every fiber of her being and gave without a second thought. She always put everyone in front of herself. The people that were lucky enough to know her know what a funny, sassy, stubborn, caring, loving and beautiful person she was. She is the oldest of six. Her two brothers, Edwin and Freddy Santiago and her three sisters, Miriam A. Galarza, Delia E. and Lilliam I. Santiago all will truly miss this firecracker. Even though they were bonded by blood, their bond, their friendship, their love was so much thicker than that and was such a beautiful thing.
This is a truly painful, tragic and incomprehensible loss to the family, friends and community. As we will never be able to get over losing such a vital piece of our hearts, she would want us to come together and celebrate all the beautiful memories and cherish all the time we had together.
Friends and relatives are welcome to Nilsa's viewing on Friday, February 2, 2024 from 11:00AM-1:00PM, and her funeral service immediately following at 1:00PM. Both will be held at Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212, Ark Rd, Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054.
Interment will follow services at Park View Cemetery, 25 Fostertown Road, Medford, NJ 08055. www.parkviewcemeterynj.com

Keith T. Wilson Sr. - September 27, 1955 - January 25, 2024

Departed: 01/25/2024 (Medford)
Obituary Preview: Keith T Wilson, Sr. Obituary
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now, a crown is being held for me, a crown for being right with God. The Lord, the judge who judges rightly, will give the crown to me on that day not only to me but to all those who have waited with love for him to come again. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 New Century Version
Keith “Timmy” Wilson, Sr. was born on September 27th, 1955 in Philadelphia, PA and went on to gain his wings on January 25th, 2024. He was the son of the late Arthur and Elizabeth Wilson, Jr.
Timmy was educated in the Philadelphia School systems. He graduated from Dobbins High School in 1973 and further his education at the Community College of Philadelphia. Timmy joined the Marine Corps on March 17th, 1975. While in the service he was an Aviation Air Structural Mechanic CIA and went on to become a Rifle Sharpshooter and an Aircraft Mechanic. Through his service for his country he earned a Good conduct Medal.
Keith was joined in holy matrimony to the love of his life Priscilla Kaye Nue on September 24th, 1977. From this union four amazing children were born. Recognizing his need for a Lord and Savior he accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at First Baptist Church of Riverside, Riverside, NJ.
Timmy worked for the United States Postal Service for 34 years, as an equipment operator and union representative. Timmy worked several other part-time jobs in an effort to support his family and prepare for Priscilla and his retirement.
Timmy was civic minded. In the community he was a volunteer for Boys Scouts of America where he served as a packleader. He always assisted with distributing holiday food baskets for the less fortunate. Timmy supported his wife with her political and civic aspirations. He was also a mentor to the young men on the job and in the community.
Timmy was a relentless fighter. He was fearless and always remained positive. He never complained and continued to be an inspiration for family and friends. His motto became, “Just wait, I am getting better, baby.” He fought until he returned to Lord. Little did we know his time on earth was coming to an end and he was being prepared to be with the Lord. He told his family that he loved them before his passing. He passed away at Cooper University Hospital, in Camden, NJ.
We will always remember him for the love he had for his family. The joy he took in providing for his family. The lessons he taught inspired them to dream. His great sense of humor could make you laugh without saying a word, his generous heart, his giving spirit, his love for people and great conversations made him a gentle giant. Timmy had a nickname for everyone he liked and spent time with. He never met a stranger and would strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere, about anything. Anyone that he ever came into contact with was left with the feeling of having chatted with a lifelong friend. He loved to travel with his family and visit new places. He loved all the Philadelphia sports teams but the Philadelphia Eagles were his favorite. His lifelong hobby was fishing. He never missed the opportunity to go fishing and always kept his fishing rod nearby. As a child, he could be found on his bike with his fishing rod in hand searching for a fishing hole. As an adult he kept his fishing rod in the trunk of his car and would stop and test out any body of water he passed. Timmy also loved to teach others to fish, taking many family and friends on fishing trips. He also loved to Barbecue year round. You could find him in the middle of winter managing the grill. Timmy made it a year round event and passed that love down to his family.
His grandchildren will remember Pop-Pop as an amazing, happy, fun-loving, caring and joking person who always kept a stash of goodies he was always excited to share with the grandkids.
Timmy leaves to treasure his memories his faithful, caring and loving wife Priscilla Wilson (of the home), Three sons Keith Wilson, Jr. (of Trenton, NJ); Fateen (Jasleyn) Wilson (of Lumberton, NJ); Edmund (Tyesha) Wilson (of the home); his one and only daughter Shahidah (Ronald) Scott (of Willingboro, NJ). Ten grandchildren: Cassidy Crenshaw, Fateen Wilson, Jr., Willow Wilson, Shilo Wilson; Sharon Wilson, Kyle Hill, Brian Reeves, Avery Wilson; Ava Scott and Logan Scott. Siblings: Malinda Granby (of Philadelphia, PA); Terri Wilson-Fox (of Philadelphia, PA); Karl Wilson (of Philadelphia, PA); Kelvin Wilson (of Philadelphia, PA); Wanda (Mark) Gaffney (of Philadelphia, PA) and One Brother in-law F. Richard Nue (of Philadelphia, PA). Host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Two very special Aunts: Sue Taylor (of Taylors, SC) and Karen Gore (of Whiteville, NC). Honorary children: Christina (Daniel) Russell, Breanna Carter; Thomas (Erika) Faison, Jr., Sarah Faison, Rachel (Jason) Ritman, Eric (Kenesha) Harris, John Latimore, the late Matthew “Bear” (Liz) Williams, and the late Babatune Ali. To Keith, Timmy, Tim, Triple-T, Baby and Champ, I always told you thank you, and I would like to tell you thank you one more time. Thank you for the way you took care of your family. Thank you for wanting to do something different than you knew. Thank you for the remarkable, wonderful man you are. Thank you for your kindness. Thank you for your love. Thank you for the laughter and fun moments. Thank you for the bad ones, too. I think you had a way of knowing what would come next, and thank you for preparing us. Thank you for your comfort and support. You told me I would miss you one day and you are so right. I did not know it would be so soon. I miss you now more than I could ever imagine. You beat the odds more than once. You were then and always appreciated and loved. I am glad we gave you your flowers and love so you could smell and feel them. Thank God for allowing us to have you as long as we did. I love you always and forever hugs and kisses. Me (Cilla)
