She was born January 29, 1932 at Jacksonburg, WV, the daughter of the late Okey and Massie Pearl Cross Hendershot.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert “Bob” Huggins Sr., a daughter, Lorna Veronica Gee, twelve siblings, Goldie Ethel, Hershel Sammuel, Geneivieve Dakota, Laura Mae, Bonnie Marie, Hartzel Dee, Sarah Alice, Arthur Ray, Avis Larane, Mable Francis, Florine Grace and Gareald Ervin.
Surviving are three children, Robert “Bobby” (Melissa) Huggins, Milessa (Steve) Wadsworth and Mark (Scheri) Huggins, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, with one on the way, a great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Beatrice was a force to be reckoned with, who had a huge, kind heart and always spoke her mind. She loved sewing, quilting, crafts and bingo.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Arnold “Arnie” Greathouse, two sisters, Leora Barr and Kay Smith.
Surviving is a daughter, Rachel (Melvin) Melott, a son, Jim (Mary) Greathouse, six grandchildren, Donna Headley, Jennifer (Chris) Keller, Jimmy (Jessica) Greathouse, Joanna (Bryce) Fortney, Beth (Steve) Reinker and Matt (Andrea) Melott, twelve great grandchildren, a sister, Sue Ann Chahoc, several nieces and nephews.

He was a faithful member of the Pine Grove Church of Christ and was a humble, honest man who gave willingly to help causes near and dear to his heart.
He was a proud Air Force Veteran serving the SAC command for the Minute Man Missile at Whitman AFB in Missouri. Glen worked as a coal miner beginning in 1972 and retiring in 1999. At a young age, he helped his father in the timber industry.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a niece, Eve Coghlan, and a nephew, Mike Coghlan.
Surviving is his wife of 56 years, Elizabeth Jane Hayes Judge, three sons, Scott Michael (Ellie) Judge of Bainbridge, OH, James Julian (Leslie) of St. Clairsville, OH and Chad Anthony (Jennifer) of Proctorville, OH, his pride and joy were his seven grandchildren, Jonas, Joel, Marissa, Alaina, Alyssa, Camden and Kynlee, a sister, Vivian (Tom) Coghlan of Cambridge, MD, a brother, Skud (Nancy) Judge of Coburn, WV, and several nieces and nephews. He was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, grandfather and father-in-law and will be extremely missed. Phyllis Jean Francis - June 11, 1928 - February 26, 2024

Obituary Preview: Phyllis Jean (Kuhens) Francis, age 95, of Smithfield, WV, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2024. She was born on June 11, 1928, to the late Edward and Beryl (Tucker) Kuhens. Phyllis is predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Norman D. Francis. After meeting in the first grade, they became long-time friends and sweethearts and were married after graduating from Smithfield High School. Phyllis was also predeceased by her daughter, Barbara (Sherman), who brought her and Norman immense pride and joy. After moving to Fairmont, WV, Phyllis worked at Fairmont Supply Company for over 30 years, excelling in clerical and customer service roles.
Phyllis was known for her kind, generous nature, her jovial spirit, and her genuine interest in people. She had a passion for entertaining, and she and Norman were famous for their legendary Christmas parties. She enjoyed making and distributing homemade candy and cookies to friends. Phyllis also had a love for collecting china, glassware, and bells. She was always impeccably dressed, with meticulous hair, outfits, and accessories. Some of her additional hobbies included crocheting, maintaining her flower gardens, and shopping for her family and friends, especially her great-granddaughters.
Phyllis was a devoted member of Central United Methodist Church in Fairmont, WV. After their retirement, Phyllis and Norman enjoyed vacationing in Florida during the winter months with Phyllis's sister, Joann. After Norman's passing, Phyllis continued to enjoy her summers in Fairmont and winters in Florida with Joann, where she met her second husband, John Moth, who also predeceased her.
All of her siblings, Billy Kuhens, Edward Kuhens, Ivan Kuhens, Rex Kuhens, and Joann (Kuhens) Miller preceded her in death. Phyllis is survived by her granddaughter, Amy (Mark) Hofmann, and her great-granddaughters, Olivia and Laura Hofmann, of Unionville, CT. She will also be remembered by many wonderful nieces and nephews and their families.
The family is grateful for the care Phyllis received for the last four years at Westwood Place in Woodsfield, OH. A celebration of life will take place this summer to honor and remember Phyllis’ remarkable life.

Tim was the Fire Chief for 20 years at Pine Grove Volunteer Fire Department and a member of different fire departments for over 40 years. He was also on the Pine Grove Town Council and was a 1978 graduate of Valley High School. He enjoyed drag racing his four-wheeler, riding his Harley and riding buggies in the woods.

Jerome "Jerry" Eugene Staley - January 17, 1943 - January 03, 2024

Obituary Preview: Jerome “Jerry Rat” Staley, 80, of Chiselfinger Ridge, WV, was reunited with the love of his life, Carol Ann Staley, on January 3, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Jerry enjoyed spending time outdoors, gardening, riding his motorcycle, visiting friends at his winter home in Florida and especially making memories with his family. He was a member of Faith Fellowship Church in Reader, WV and Moose Lodge 931. “Rat” was a retiree of Ormet Corporation after 37 years of faithful service. He was known for his outgoing and loving personality and his ability to light up any room he walked in.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ross and Reba Staley, his beloved wife, Carol Ann Staley, a daughter, Kimberly Ann Staley and a grandson, Robbie Roll.
He is survived by his children, Julia (Chris) White, Jake (Benita) Staley and Carla (Arza) Bennett. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Krista (Adrian), Alisha (Matt), Ashley (Tammy) Lyndsay, Miranda (Drew), Alex (Mesa) Brooke, Zach (Haylee), Kimmie (William), Nate, Jerrah, and Cameron, along with twelve great grandchildren with the thirteenth expected to arrive in February. As well as his sister, Charolette (Gary) Ludwig and beloved brother-in-law, Ray George (Thelma) Ice.
The family wishes to express appreciation to granddaughter Lyndsay Latimer for her care and attention to her “Pap” during his time of need.

Price, Judith (Bill) Fortney, Kathy (Bob) George, Tonya Price, Robin (Jeff) Loar and Angel Bradley and her companion, Rodney Standard, seven grandchildren, Mark Stout Jr., Joshua (Olivia) George, Steven (Yvonne) Loar, Zachary Ayers and companion, Alex, Jonathan (Becky) Loar, Kyle Bradley and Kaitlyn Loar, four great-granddaughters, Claire, Isabel, Macie and McKinlee, three great-grandsons, Daulton, Connor and Wyatt, a sister, Zelma (William) LeMasters.

He was born January 28, 1940 in Reader the son of the late Arley A. and Grace G. Burgess Haught.
Loren’s love for his family was boundless. Whenever a family member needed assistance with home repairs or car troubles, Loren was always the first to step forward.
Following the loss of his beloved wife, Loren’s family rallied around him. Among these caring family members, his youngest granddaughter Madison made it a point to visit him almost every evening sharing stories of her day.
Loren and his wife of nearly 60 years, accompanied by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bud and Helen Harter, traveled across nearly all 50 states. On the day he passed, he fondly reminisced about those trips.
In his spare time, Loren could often be found tinkering in his garage on his GTO and joining “The Cruisers” at local car shows or talking with his dog, Red.
He was loved and will be missed by all that knew him.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Haught, a sister, Nelda Prater, four brothers, Harold, Clair, Don and Lloyd Haught.

Everett Lee is survived by his son Donald Jr. (Florence Yoho) Shreve of South Carolina, a daughter-in-law, Margaret Shreve, granddaughters, Anjelika, Paisley, Brooke, Ashley, and Angela, several nieces and nephews, a special cousin, Tim (Teresa) Shreve, a special niece Sheryl "Sissy" and many friends that refer to him as “Pappy”.
Everett Lee was a veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army and U.S. Army Special Forces. He served during the Korean conflict and the Vietnam war. He proudly served his country for thirty years.
Upon retiring from the service, he went on to study ministry. Everett Lee performed countless baptisms, funerals, and marriages. He traveled to churches, nursing homes and VA centers preaching the word of God for over thirty years.
Friends will be received on Monday August 7, 2023 from 6pm-8pm at Palmer Funeral Home where the funeral will be held on Tuesday at 1pm. Interment at Serenity View in Martinsville, WV.
