Hope Grocery. Anita graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Lansing, Michigan in 1942, having served as Treasurer of her senior class. She married her former classmate, Peter Joseph (Joe) Daly, on April 3, 1945.
Anita and Joe lived a full life raising seven children. She worked for the State of Michigan Department of Treasury for ten years. Anita loved riding on the pontoon, watching the grandkids fish, having great bonfires and celebrating the 4th of July, which was Joe’s birthday. As Anita got older, she would always say “this may be my last pontoon ride”, and many of us would laugh and say “see you next year”. Thanks to Mom and Dad, there are now three generations of Dalys on Pretty Lake!
Surviving are her children, JoAnne (Pat) Stefanick, Joe Daly, Mary (Dave) Olson, Mike (Maria) Daly, Patty (Rodger) James, Diane (Denny) Warren, and Dan (Jody) Daly.
