She was born June 14, 1922 in Spartanburg County, a daughter to the late Clarence Ralph Pierce, Sr. and Bertha Lee Pierce. She was predeceased by her husbands, Grady Spencer and Ed Martin. Margaret was a member of Pacolet First Baptist Church where she was a former teacher of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class, W.M.U. Director and choir member. A member of the Glendale Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, she retired from Beaumont Mills and Mountainview Nursing Home. Surviving are two daughters, Linda S. Wyatt and her husband Edward, of Pacolet and Kaye Peeler of Pacolet; her stepchildren, Frankie Martin, Cathy Martin and Patsy Martin, all of Union, Don Martin and his wife Mary of Jonesville, David Martin and his wife Pam, of Ohio, and Beverly Martin of Washington; her grandchildren, Monty Wyatt, Angie Smiley and her husband Jeff, Lance Jernigan and his wife Shannon, and Eddie Wyatt and his wife Amanda; and her great-grandchildren, Bradley and Hannah Smiley, Ali and Brock Jernigan, Mason and Matthew Wyatt, and Lauren and Emily Hotek. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 1:45 p.m. Saturday, November 29, 2014, at Pacolet First Baptist Church, 310 West Main Street, Pacolet, SC 29372. Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Louise Cook Rochester; daughter, Lisa T. Anderson of Pacolet; grandchildren, Brandon Turner and Hanna Grace Anderson; and sisters, Betty Ward, Mary Jo White, and Rita Webber, all of Jonesville.
