Obituary Preview: Dennis P. Harrington, 80, of Indianapolis, passed away in the early morning hours of December 11, 2022, at Greenwood Health & Living after a courageous battle with his health. Dennis was born on January 7, 1942, in Blencoe, Iowa, to the late John Cletus and Margaret Mary (Ryan) Harrington. Dennis was a graduate of Lawton High School in Lawton, Iowa. Upon his graduation, he went on to graduate from Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas. Dennis received a bachelor’s degree in Sociology.

A dedicated patriot to his country, Dennis enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1966 where he earned the rank of Staff Sargent. Dennis’ dedication to his country did not end after his service in the Marine Corps. Dennis went on to serve in the United States Air Force National Guard where he earned the honorable rank of Colonel. Dennis retired from military service in 1999 after 34 years of dedicated years to his country. Dennis was a proud lifetime member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

An avid sports fan, Dennis loved to watch and coach sports. Dennis loved music but specifically listening to Johnny Cash, Neil Diamond, John Denver, and Anne Murray. If he was watching a movie, it was either John Wayne or anything patriotic. Dennis was a devoted Irish Catholic. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Msgr. M. Downey Council #3660 for 37 years. Dennis did not know a stranger, had a story for everything and had a zest for living life on his own terms. A true Irishman, Dennis will be remembered as a loyal and persistent man who was without a doubt dedicated to his country.

Along with his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by an infant son, Dennis Harrington; his brothers, Vincent, Gerald (Anne), Michael (Carol), and Paul Harrington; an infant brother, John Harrington; and Brother-in-law, Gus Rysavy.

Survivors include his children, Kathleen M. (Carlos) Zendejas, Patricia J. Sinovic, Eileen A. Harrington, John R. (Stephanie) Harrington, James M. (Lyndsy) Harrington, Colleen R. Harrington, and Kevin P. (Angela) Harrington; his previous spouse and the mother of his children, Mary Jane (Harrington) Harrington; his grandchildren, Michael, Corey, Ava, Caitlin (Dustin), Molly, Sean, Megan, Max, Bella, Jack, Will, Luke, Kate, Nolan, Liam, Finn, Marenn, Maeve, Holly, Ruth, and Cora; one great-grandchild, Sophia; his siblings, Raymond (Pat) Harrington, Joan Rysavy, Larry (Linda) Harrington, and James (Cathy) Harrington; sister-in-law, Nancy Harrington; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and comrades.

Dennis’ Life Celebration® visitation will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the narthex at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 8300 Rahke Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46217. Prior to the visitation, the recitation of the rosary will begin at 9:30 AM in the narthex on Monday. Obituary Preview: Steven Kenneth “Steve” Golden, 63, of Indianapolis, passed away suddenly on December 9, 2022. On January 9, 1959, Steve was born in Plattsburgh, New York to John and Doris (Moennichmeyer) Golden.

After graduating high school, Steve proudly served his country in the United States Army for 15 years. He graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore with a Bachelor’s degree in Business. A proud employee of Wheels Assured for 23 years, Steve was the Truck Division Manager up until his passing. The truck division did not exist prior to Steve becoming an employee; it was a piece of his career he was most passionate about and established with incredible pride.

If you knew Steve, you knew that he was a great cook and a “foodie”; he absolutely loved to try new restaurants and would try anything once. You knew you were special if Steve cooked for you, especially if it was a steak. He was known for his sense of humor, quick wit, and sarcasm; no one was spared.

Watching football and soccer, creating a beautiful life with his wife, Amy, spending time around his pool, and ultimately spending time with his family, grandchildren, and fur babies were all things Steve enjoyed. Family was paramount for Steve; he was incredibly proud of his children and grandchildren. Ultimately, Steve was a dedicated husband, father, and poppy who would do anything for them; he will be incredibly missed.

In these last few months Steve talked a lot about how proud he was of his children, but mostly how excited he was to finally have time for him and his wife, Amy. He said, “Before I lived for my girls, now I’m fighting for selfish reasons,” but even his selfish reasons weren’t solely about him; his reason was to have a life about him and his wife. He talked of trips, quiet time at home and dinners to take her to when his treatment was finished. There was no doubt how much he loved her and wanted to cherish all the time he could with her.

Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Golden, and brother, John Golden.

Survivors include his wife, Amy F. (Jacobs) Golden, whom he married on December 6, 2002. Other survivors include his father, John Golden; children, Wendy Golden, Damon (Sarah) Golden, Jessica (Fabian) Rodriguez, Victoria “Tori” Reid (Eric Hitchon, Common Law Husband), Destiny “Desi” (Alvaro) Gallegos, Katherine “Katie” MacLeod (Jose Reza, Fiance), and Alexandra “Ali” Golden; his grandchildren, Liam, Felix, Lainy, Rheanna, Erik, Donnie, Ryley, Isabella, Andrea, Mariah, and his grand dog, Henry; and a sister, Nancy (Rene) Rendon; the Giles family, and a host of extended family members and friends.

Angela T. Forni - April 05, 1934 - December 09, 2022

Obituary Preview: Angela T. Forni, 88, of Fishers and previously, Indianapolis, peacefully passed away while surrounded by her family on December 9, 2022. Angela was born on April 5, 1934, in Indianapolis to the late Joseph and Margaret (Genco) Morone. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in the class of 1952. On September 11, 1954, Angela wed the late Ralph L. Forni; Ralph preceded Angela in death in 1999.

Raising her five children and being a devoted wife was a lifelong career for Angela. She was devoted to her Catholic faith and was a longtime parishioner of St. Jude Catholic Church. When she was in better health, Angela delivered for Meals on Wheels and volunteered at IU Health Hospital.

A great card player, Angela was a member of many Bridge clubs and loved to play a good game of Euchre. Angela was incredibly active and loved walking on her treadmill. A talented baker, Angela made the best Italian cookies and fruitcakes. She enjoyed traveling to numerous locations, but her favorite destinations include New York City, Ireland, and Italy. With a sharp wit and a great sense of humor, Angela could make anyone laugh. Ultimately Angela was at her happiest when surrounded by her children; she was the most caring and loving mother. She will be incredibly missed.

Along with her parents and husband, Angela was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph and Nino Morone, and her sister, Mary Frances Meyers.

Survivors include her children, Marie (William) Glaspie, Jane Forni (Husband, Mark Hulett), Tom (Joyce) Forni, Beth (Frank) Chalupa, and David Forni; 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 2 grand dogs; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Obituary Preview: Jean Marie Williams, 91, of Indianapolis, passed away on December 8, 2022. Jean was born on November 10, 1931, in Indianapolis to the late Maurice and Helen (Sweeney) Fitzgerald. Jean was a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy and went on to graduate from St. Vincent Nursing School. Jean retired from Community Hospital South as a Registered Nurse. On May 23, 1959, Jean wed Carl Williams in Holy Name Catholic Church, Indianapolis; the pair enjoyed nearly 55 years of marriage until Carl’s passing in 2015.

A very faithful servant of our Lord her entire life, Jean was an active member at St. Barnabas Catholic Church where she volunteered with St. Vincent de Paul. Prior to moving, Jean and Carl were charter members of St. Jude Catholic Church, Indianapolis. In recent years, Jean lived at St. Paul Hermitage in Beech Grove where she was able to attend Mass.

Jean was extremely caring and loving, which made her an excellent mother and grandmother. Jean was very sociable and had a vast friend group that she was incredibly loyal to. Fun-loving and witty, Jean always had a good comeback and a contagious laugh. Jean loved to travel to many different locations, but she especially enjoyed trips with family and friends to Hilton Head, South Carolina. She will be remembered by her family as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who never wavered in her faith or beliefs.

Along with her husband and parents, Jean was preceded in death by her daughter, Maureen Maddox; granddaughter, Amanda Tames; grandson, Matthew Williams, and her sister, Bonnie Mitchell.

Survivors include her children, Michael (Cindy) Williams, Angela (Jeff) Garraux, and Elaine (Steve) Heiden; 10 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren; numerous extended family members and friends.

Michael is a long time member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Beech Grove. He loved woodworking and watching John Wayne Westerns. Michael would give you the shirt off his back. He was a giver and loved life to the fullest.

Michael is survived by his sons; Matthew (Erica) Sahm and Mark (Hellen) Sahm, daughters; Michelle (Brian) Stanley, Stephanie (Robert) Stapert, Sara (Nick) Klindt and Mary (Billy) Dickson, grandchildren; James, Jonathon, Rachel, Hannah,(Isriel), Maggie, Declan, Isaac, Liam, Aiden, Chloe, Elijah, Oliver, Malcolm and Ruby, great-grandchildren; Remi, Boston and Emmett, along with his siblings; Vic (Ann) Sahm, Joann (Rich) Botkin, Larry (Janie) Sahm, Mary Jo (John) Perkins, Paul (Marianne) Sahm, Chris (Donna) Sahm and Charlie (Becky Frye) Sahm, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Michael is preceded in death by his loving wife; Suzy Hermann Sahm and grandson; Lincoln Matthew.

Sulekh was a proud landowner and farmer in India. He farmed sugar cane, Rice, and Potatoes, and he rented his farmland to other farmers as well. Sulekh loved to explore and go for walks, try new foods, and had a great sense of humor where he was known to be a bit of a prankster! Devoted to Hinduism, he frequently prayed and watched religious programs.

Sulekh will be remembered as an incredibly kind man who never raised his voice toward anyone. He loved to live life with an encouraging and optimistic sense, while always keeping things light-hearted and silly. His clever sense of humor and zest for life will be greatly missed by his family.

Along with his parents, Sulekh was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, who passed away on Nov 17th 2007, and she was born on Jan 26th 1940.

Survivors include his children, Virender Laller, HarJinder Singh, Sumitra Devi, Parvinder Kaur, Nirmala Devi, and Priyanka Rani; his grandchildren, Tailish Laller, Srishti Laller, Rishi Laller, Surya Laller, Ani, Vanshi, and Valish; and a host of extended family members.

Obituary Preview: Shirley Ann Martin, 92, passed away at the Bickford of Greenwood after a courageous battle with dementia on December 3, 2022. Shirley was born on March 24, 1930, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Ralph and Juanita (Bienvenu) Martin.

Shirley worked as a pension plan writer for Mutual of New York Life Insurance Company (MONY). She retired in 1989. During her retirement, Shirley enjoyed bowling, playing golf, and spending time with family, friends, and fellow coworkers. She loved traveling and had visited nearly every continent except for Africa. She loved animals and consistently donated to organizations that would help them, specifically the World Wildlife Fund.

A devoted Catholic, Shirley was an active member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Bay Ridge-Brooklyn, New York. Shirley will be remembered as a very caring and compassionate person who was always willing to help anyone who needed it without hesitation.

Along with her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, John A. “Jack” Martin and Mary (Moore-Coltman) Martin, as well as two dear life-long friends, Barbara Muir and Alice Mulrennen.

Survivors include her nephew, nieces, and spouses, Deacon James P. “Nick” Martin (Debbie Reyman Martin), Veronica A. Martin (Curtis Stolp), and Isabel J. Barbara Ellen Collins - February 18, 1934 - December 03, 2022

Obituary Preview: Barbara Ellen Collins, 88, passed away at Greenwood Healthcare on December 3, 2022. She was born on February 18, 1934, in Boston, Massachusetts to the late William Lawrence and Edna Marie (Gibbons) Collins.

Highly intelligent and very perceptive, Barbara graduated from Nazareth College/Catherine Spalding University in the early 1960s. She went on to teach for a number of years at various schools in Louisville and Indianapolis, including Westport High School and Central Nine. In 2009 Barbara retired from Central Nine in Indiana.

When not teaching, Barbara loved to read. From a young age, she was incredibly interested in playing the piano and singing in the choir. Barbara was very active in youth groups, Senior Girl Scouts, and Girls Town, and was a representative at Massachusetts Girls State. A devoted Catholic, Barbara attended several south-side parishes over the years until her health no longer allowed her to do so. She will be remembered by all who knew and loved her as an independent person who loved life and those around her.

Along with both of her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her adopted son, Darryl P. Ryan, and her brother, Richard Collins.

Survivors include her sisters, Sister Gail P. Collins, SCN, and Patricia E. (Kenneth) Edge; as well as her dear friends and devoted caregivers, Karl and Lynda Knable; numerous extended family members, and friends.

Timothy Allen "Timmy" Whitsit - January 27, 1970 - November 29, 2022

Obituary Preview: Timothy Allen “Timmy” Whitsit, 52, of Indianapolis, went home to be with the Lord on November 29, 2022. After suffering a sudden cardiac event, Timmy was surrounded in love by family. Timmy was born on January 27, 1970, in Indianapolis to Richard Lee and Carol Sue (Stollings) Whitsit; Timmy’s father preceded him in death on July 25, 2020.

Timmy was a 1988 graduate of Southport High School where he played baseball. Timmy loved baseball and cheering on the Chicago Cubs. A sports fanatic, his love wasn’t limited to baseball; Timmy enjoyed cheering on the Indianapolis Colts and the Boston Celtics. Later in life, Timmy picked up golf and never shied away from sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for sports with others. Most of all Timmy enjoyed playing games with his family, especially a good game of euchre.

Timmy dedicated his entire life to caring for others, but he was the ultimate caregiver for both of his parents. He was selfless, gentle, devoted, and a loving man toward everyone he met.

Timmy wanted everyone to know that he is at peace and wants everyone to live a full and beautiful life, remembering all the good times that were had. Timmy was joyfully greeted in heaven by his father, Richard Lee Whitsit and brother-in-law, William Albert “Bill” Shearer, II.

Survivors include his mother, Carol Sue (Stollings) Whitsit; sisters, Pamela J. Harding and Kristy D. Whitsit-Shearer; nieces and nephews; Anthony M. Whitsit, Tyler V. Whitsit, Morgan P. Scrimager, Jason P. Harding, Mason R. Harding, and Olivia R. Harding; many extended family members and friends.

Joseph James Weber - December 10, 1928 - November 29, 2022

Obituary Preview: Joseph James Weber (93) passed away peacefully on November 29, 2022 in Los Angeles, California with his wife and twin daughters by his side.

Joseph was born in Indianapolis, the only child of James and Virginia Weber. He graduated from Tech High School in Indianapolis. After graduation he was employed by Stark & Wetzel where he worked his way up from the mailroom to the position of Vice President and General Manager. After Stark & Wetzel was purchased by Rath Packing, Joseph purchased Superior Linen in Muncie, Indiana, which he owned and operated until 2008.

Joseph was blessed with a large and loving family. Joseph married his high school sweetheart, Mary Waddick, and together they raised 8 children. After the two divorced, Joseph married Cheryl Wood. During their 42 years together they raised twin daughters. Joseph will be remembered for his quick wit, contagious smile, adventurous spirit, and ambitious nature– he never met a stranger. He had a wonderful sense of humor and always had a way of maintaining his emotions even during the most difficult times. He loved to read and always had a love for cars. He enjoyed spending weekends by the water, being on his boat and good music. After retirement, Joseph and Cheryl moved from Greenwood, Indiana to Los Angeles, California to be closer to their twins.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, his former wife, Mary, daughter-in-law Mary and two loved and cherished grandchildren, Alec Curtis and Evan Weber. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl, his children Joseph (Anne), Kathleen Hatfield, Christine Sigler, James, Mary Beth Bryant (Dennis), Eileen Shumway (David), William (Sherry), Jeanine, Stacey and Casey; his eighteen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 21 at 6 pm with the family receiving friends from 4:00 pm until service time at O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 South East Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. Obituary Preview: Evelina C. Kruse, 93, passed away on November 26, 2022. Evelina was born on December 24, 1928, in Panama to the late Aquilino and Marcelina (Concepcion) Cervantes. Evelina came to America when she was 19, bringing her brothers and sisters with her. She officially became a United States citizen on September 19, 1972. On February 10, 1973, she wed the late Raymond J. Kruse in Indianapolis. Evelina worked at RCA for 15 years as a line technician. She also worked as a nurse’s aide for numerous years in Indiana and Florida.

Raymond J. “Ray” Kruse, 78, passed away on March 7, 2016, in Dunedin, Florida. Ray was born on April 23, 1937, to the late Raymond and Dorothy (King) Kruse. He worked as a machinist for numerous years at organizations such as Diamond Chain and later became self-employed. Ray proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

Evelina loved cooking her native Spanish food, fishing, and gardening. Ray and Evelina enjoyed going to flea markets, spending time with family as much as possible, dancing together, traveling, and of course taking Jack (their dog) everywhere they went. The pair enjoyed 30 years of residency in Dunedin, Florida. They lived in Indianapolis, then moved to their farm in Nineveh, Indiana prior to moving to Florida.

Evelina is survived by her sister, Nivia Ross (Indianapolis); brothers, Ocilino, Nelson, and Gabriel Concepcion (all of Panama), and Roger Concepcion (Indianapolis). She considered her nephew, Bill Ross, and nieces, Evelyn, and Marcy, like her own children, along with numerous other nieces and nephews. Ray is survived by his sisters, Margaret and Mindy, and brothers, Tommy, Johnny, and Charlie.

A Life Celebration® visitation honoring Ray and Evelina will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., in the chapel at O’Riley – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, 6107 South East Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. Obituary Preview: Kevin R. Mennel, 57, of Indianapolis, passed away suddenly at his residence on Sunday, November 20, 2022. Kevin was born on April 23, 1965, in Indianapolis to the late Richard “Dick” Mennel and Mary Patricia “Patty” (O’Neill) Mennel.

Kevin graduated in the class of 1983 from Perry Meridian High School where he was active in the school’s band. After high school, Kevin graduated from Ivy Tech Community College where he earned his Associate’s degree and went on to become an ASE Certified Mechanic. In 2002 Kevin began one of the most trusted south-side car shops, Kevin’s Auto Repair. He had an abundance of loyal customers and advanced knowledge of his trade.

Kevin was known for going above and beyond to help his customers; he was incredibly generous and always honest. Kevin not only did honest work, but he did it while keeping absolutely everything in his power to make a repair happen. It was simple, Kevin treated others how he wished to be treated. He didn’t just own a repair shop; Kevin had a “community center” where all on the south side felt welcome to drop by no matter what.

When not working at his shop Kevin could be found fishing, taking a winning trip to the casino, or cheering on his Indianapolis Colts. His grandchildren were very important, especially when it came to spoiling them for Christmas. “Pop” never missed any sporting event or school activity his grandchildren had. If you knew Kevin, you knew how much he cared about everyone he encountered. You always knew where you stood with Kevin. A heart of gold with the humblest persona, Kevin will be deeply missed by his family and customers alike. Kevin’s legacy and service to his customers will live on through his family continuing the trusted service he’s provided for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa (Hawn) Mennel; his children, Cory (Krista) Mennel and Mara Mennel; his siblings, David B. (Julie) Mennel and Kathleen H. Margaret “Maggie” Molloy - May 31, 1935 - November 19, 2022

Obituary Preview: Margaret Molloy (Maggie), 87 of Greenwood, Indiana passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at St. Vincent Ascension Hospital.

She was born in Sandycove, Ireland to Charlie and Annie Mulvaney. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Neil Molloy, in 2012. Maggie will be dearly missed by her five children, Kevin (Laura), Nuala Moran, John (Fran), Anne Doyle (Dave), Tara Sears (Rob); her loving grandchildren Joe, Chris, Morgan, Maggie, Sallie, Abbie, David, and Neil; and her great grandchildren Connor, Valen, Beckham, Ronan, and Carl.

Maggie was one of ten children raised in Ireland. She worked hard from an early age and passed that work ethic on to her children. She had many talents – she loved swimming, playing piano, and table tennis as a child. She was the first woman to swim with the Christian Brothers and was a 2-mile long distance swimmer. She made many great memories in Ireland, and she was drawn to the seashore throughout her whole life.

She met Neil, the love of her life in Bray, Ireland. In 1958 she moved to America to be with him. They started their life together in Morristown, NJ. In 1969 she moved to Michigan and lived there until 1979 when she moved to Indiana. She was very involved with Our Lady of Greenwood Catholic Church. She loved singing in the choir, helping with funeral meals, and was very involved in the OLG food pantry.

Maggie was very talented – she loved interior decorating and had a knack for making everything she touched beautiful. If you went to her house for tea, she treated you like royalty and she made everyone feel special. She was a friend to many.

In the early 90’s, she moved to Siesta Key after working hard raising her five children. She was able to enjoy retirement with her husband and they traveled the world together. She loved Siesta Key and was very involved in her parish, St. Michael the Archangel. She loved to bring people together at church and started a coffee fellowship hour on Thursday mornings where she baked countless coffee cakes and lemon bars. Her baked goods were legendary.

She moved back to Indiana in 2016, where she enjoyed reading, playing cards, and spoiling her cat Charlie that she rescued. She was able to welcome 3 great grandchildren while she lived here. She loved trips to Brown County, attending numerous concerts, and loved her casino time - she had such a youthful, fun spirit. Her motto was “If I can do a good deed for someone, Lord please send them my way”. She had such a strong faith in God and she lived by these words every day: “Christ within me, Christ beside me,

Christ before me, Christ to guide me. Christ in rising, Christ in sleeping, Christ in working, Christ in keeping.”

Visitation and Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, December 5, 2022 at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Indianapolis. Visitation will take place that morning from 10am-noon, Mass will begin at noon.  Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Eliseo Tamola Banguis, M.D. - September 30, 1937 - November 17, 2022

Obituary Preview: Eliseo Tamola Banguis M.D. -- loving husband, father of four, grandfather of eight, great grandfather of two and friend of many -- passed away on November 17, 2022, at the age of 85. He was surrounded by his wife and children in the comforts of home.

Dr. Banguis -- known as Dr. Ely to all -- was born to Anatolio and Mercedes Banguis in Plaridel, Misamis Occidental, Philippines. After earning his M.D. from University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines, he completed his internship in Perth Amboy, New Jersey and did his surgical residency in Cleveland, Ohio. He practiced general surgery in Lewisburg, West Virginia, before practicing for more than 30 years at W.S. Major Hospital in Shelbyville, Indiana, where he served as Chief of Surgery and was the first at Major Hospital to execute laparoscopic procedures.

While in Perth Amboy, he met fellow medical trainee and the love of his life, Lucia Pasilabban Banguis. They spent 57 years working together -- he in surgery, she in family practice -- and building their family. They married in 1964 and welcomed their children Christopher, Noreen and Eileen. Later they welcomed a fourth child Jennifer. Through the years Eliseo was a devoted husband and father. Over the years, he enjoyed golfing, traveling, playing piano, singing, playing tennis, and watching and supporting his wife and children in all their hobbies and pursuit. He endeavored to attend nearly every baseball or basketball game; swim or gymnastics meet; piano, flute, trumpet, saxophone, violin recital. And he recorded most of those events with still and video cameras so he and his family could relive and enjoy all the memories. He was a  season ticket holder and die hard Colts fan He continued to be a "superfan" as the next generation -- Eliseo and Lucia's eight grandchildren -- gave him more moments to experience and capture on "film."

Near the end of his professional career and during retirement, he continued to share his gifts through medical mission work in The Philippines, often with his lifelong friends from his medical-training days in Perth Amboy. "The Amboyans" also visited each other and vacationed together throughout the years, visiting all corners of the globe -- from the searing heat of hiking the Galapagos Islands to the frigid cold of dog-sledding in Canada to see the Aurora Borealis.

Eliseo is preceded in death by his parents Anatolio and Mercedes and brother Norvel. He is survived by his wife, Lucia, their children Chris, his wife Catherine; daughter Noreen and husband Andrew Cagle; daughter Eileen and husband John Thomason; and daughter Jennifer and husband Charlie Randall. His 8 grandchildren -- Jordan, Andrew, and Christopher (Noreen and Andrew), Hannah and Lucy (Eileen and John), Audrey and Abby (Jennifer and Charlie), and Jackson (Catherine and Chris). His two great grandchildren -- Alex and Tyler (Jordan and husband Jeffrey Florek). He is also survived by his siblings, Nelson (Sydney Australia), Greenly (San Diego) and Marina (San Diego).

Visitation for Dr. Banguis will be  from 4 PM to 7 PM on Monday, November 21, 2022, at O'Riley  Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, 6107 S. Frank attended St. Monica Catholic School, Cardinal Ritter High School, and Edison State General & Technical College in Ft. Myers, FL. While he resided in Los Angeles, Frank began studying and creating his own music. He became an accomplished singer, song writer, musician, and photographer. In the 1960’s, Frankie and a few friends started a band in Indianapolis, “The Lords of London”. You can find some of his recordings on Spotify. Frank also lived in Panama City, FL for some time before settling in Denver, CO. He loved to travel, collecting antiques, hiking, and exploring the Rocky Mountains. Frank was very generous, caring, and his great sense of humor will be missed.

Survivors include his sister, Patricia (Wechsler) Augustin; brothers Leonard and David Wechsler; numerous loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and more extended family members.

Franks visitation & Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022, at St. Monica Catholic Church Indianapolis. Visitation will take place in the morning from 10am-noon, Mass will begin at noon. Burial will follow at Holy Cross/ St. Joseph Cemetery.

Margaret Clare Kennedy Ronan - June 29, 1926 - November 14, 2022

Obituary Preview: Margaret Clare Kennedy Ronan was born in Chicago on June 29, 1926 to Irish immigrants John Kennedy and Nora Connolly. She had one brother, Johnny (later ordained Fr. Thaddeus), born in 1927.

Margaret, also known as Margie and Maggie, attended Visitation High School and was proud to be the 1944 senior class president. After graduation, she worked in downtown Chicago at The Fair department store long enough to turn 21 and join American Airlines. After graduating from stewardess school in Ardmore, OK, she went to work “on the line”, first based at La Guardia in NYC, then Memphis, and finally returning home to fly out of her back yard, Midway airport. On September 20, 1952, Maggie married Tom Ronan, recently graduated from Loyola dental school. They were Southwest side neighbors and had known each other since grade school. That was the end of her airline career; in those days when you were married you were done! Having bought a dental practice in Highland Park, the newlyweds moved north to start a new life and a family. Theirs grew to five children; Mark 1953 (Judi), Christine 1956, Tom 1961 (Cheryl), Jim 1962 (Marcela), and Kate 1963 (Pete Sizemore). Maggie was very active at Immaculate Conception parish and school, as well as Green Bay Road school. She was known for her outgoing personality and genuine kindness, and was always ready to share a laugh with her friends, family, and neighbors. She remembered the names of all of her children’s classmates, siblings, and parents… For the next 60 years!

On April 22, 1970, Tom had a heart attack and died suddenly. Maggie had five kids, aged 6 to 16, who she referred to as “the fabulous five”. She had to gather her strength and carry-on… That she did and with great courage, strength, and love. She was always grateful for the help of her church, friends, and relatives.

As the years flew by, her happiness grew to see her children marry and welcome 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. They were the heartbeat and joy of her life: Katie, Molly, Joseph, Phoebe, Carla, Claire, Michael, Lucia, Miranda, Faith, Ronan, Desmond, and Rayah. Each of them was blessed to have unconditional love, endless hugs, and lullaby songs. Each of them carries touching stories and memories of a lifetime with Gramma Maggie.

Maggie passed away peacefully at 96 on November 14, 2022 in the presence of loving family. Her faith in God and her love of family is an everlasting gift to us all.

Maggie's memorial mass will be Friday, June 30, 2023 at Old St. Patrick Catholic Church, 700 West Adam Street, Chicago, Illinois with a reception at 5:00 PM, Mass of Christian Burial at 6:00 PM and a celebration following. Please RSVP at MarkRonan@comcast.net.

Obituary Preview: Jayson Lee Sutliff, 48, of Indianapolis, passed away at his home on November 13, 2022, after a long battle with his mental health. Jayson was born on May 13, 1974, to Richard Lee Sutliff and Susie (McNaught) Bahowick; Jayson’s father preceded him in death.

Jayson attended Perry Meridian High School in Indianapolis and Darlington High School in Wisconsin. After high school, Jayson took an interest in construction. He was skilled in many construction crafts and worked for himself as a general contractor until his passing.

Jayson was excellent with technology, especially computers. His technically inclined and brilliant mind gave him the ability to fix and create anything he wanted. Jayson had the greatest sense of humor of any person we’ve ever known. He was telling stories and making jokes since he could talk. It was nearly impossible for him to walk into a room without getting someone to laugh from the deepest parts of their soul.

Along with his father, Jayson was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Thomas and Betty (Livengood) McNaught.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Susie and Tony Bahowick; his siblings, Jessica Bahowick (Anthony Polito), Jeremy Sutliff (Carmi), J.J. Bahowick (Hannah Berkovich), and Brody Bahowick; a number of extended family members and devoted friends, including Eric Hock, who cared for Jayson just as much as his family did.

David was born July 30, 1940 in Indianapolis to Herman A. and Abigail A. (Bevan) Zeyen. He attended Cathedral Grade School and St. Lawrence grade school and graduated from Scecina Memorial High School (1958). He attended Marian College.

David loved his family above all but God.

He was married for 61 years to the most amazing woman he ever met, Lana Crossland (Howe H.S 1959 and Butler University).

David loved camping, traveling, and boating with family. He loved helping anyone who needed help. He played Santa Claus for several years for St. Mary’s Child Center and F. C. Tucker NE office. He served on the Warren Township Development Association Board of Directors. He volunteered with Lana at The Ronald McDonald House at Riley Children’s Hospital. He volunteered at the Hancock County Food Pantry. He was a member of Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of REALTORS and was President of MIBOR’S Service Corporation. He taught real estate ethics for MIBOR monthly for over 20 years. He served on MIBOR committees such as forms and professional standards. He was the past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus, a member of K of C since 1959, and was Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. He coached little league baseball. He was past President of Optimist Club of Indianapolis-Eastside. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church (east 10th Street) for over 40 years where he served on the parish council, co-chair of the parish festival, as an usher for many years, and as communion minister for members, for nursing homes, to shut ins with Lana. He was a current member of Saint Mark The Evangelist Catholic Church. David is survived by the best wife and his best friend ever, Lana L. (Crossland); three amazing children – Denise (Todd) Shuck, Dennis Zeyen, and Kevin Zeyen, six wonderful granddaughters, one wonderful grandson, one grandson-in-law, and two great granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Diane (Kevin) Zeyen.

David’s visitation will be Thursday, November 17, 2022, from 10 to 11 AM at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 535 East Edgewood Ave., Indianapolis. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Obituary Preview: Roxanne "Roxy" Lynn Young, 16 months, of McCordsville, passed away on November 12, 2022. Roxy was born to her loving parents, Robert and Anahi Young, on July 7th, 2021 in Indianapolis.

“Foxy Roxy” was the delight of her family’s life. Her joy and spunkiness could bring a smile to even a stranger’s face. From the minute she could crawl, Roxy was determined to do everything like her big brother and big sister. For example, in sticking to her Argentine roots, Roxy would crawl onto the soccer field, like Messi, in the middle of her siblings’ games. She had no fear, and her sweet but sassy look could always get her out of any trouble.

Although she may have been small, Roxy was mightier than most. She loved to show how tough she was. In the end, she became a hero by giving the ultimate gift of life to others. Roxy’s sweet legacy will not only live on through her family’s cherished memories but through her lucky donor recipients forever.

In addition to her parents, Roxy is survived by her protective brother; Cooper, caring sister; June, affectionate grandparents; Bernardino & Lucia Arias and Robert Young, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Linda was a bus driver for Center Grove Schools for 25 years. She was a member of Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church.

Linda was an avid bowler. She enjoyed swimming, spending time at the lake, trips to Florida, playing cards with her Cape Coral girlfriends, playing bocce ball on different leagues, attending sporting events. She enjoyed trips to Vegas to gamble.

Linda is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years Michael Glenn, daughter Paula Marie (John R.) Glenn-Tharp, step son Patrick Glenn, sister Joyce (Dennis)Adcock, grandchildren Dylan, Katie, Kylie, Casey, Timothy Glenn, Olivia (Derek) Nelson, Gracie Marie Tharp, great granddaughter Lucy Nelson, sisters-in-law Denise Comley, Debbie Comley, sisters and brothers-in-law Stephen and Judith Rieman, James and Mary Odell, aunts Marcella Miceli, Ruthie Holzer, Vickie Huck, uncle Ronald Huck, dogs Lucy and Lolli, several cousins, nieces and nephews and her extended family.

Obituary Preview: John James Maxwell was born December 18, 1926, to John and Gladys (Zimmerman) Maxwell and died November 4, 2022. The oldest of seven children, he was a life-long southside resident and became “the patriarch” to a large extended family. He served in the U.S. Navy and attended Quincy College on the GI Bill. After working for American Fletcher National Bank for many years, he started his own public accounting practice in 1973.

Music, transportation systems, and service to others were his passions. He encouraged his children to sing, learn to play instruments and enjoy the arts, exposing us to free arts programming offered throughout the city. He knew the cross-country routes of many passenger trains and used IndyGo to navigate around the city well into his 90s. He also thoroughly enjoyed his “second career” volunteering with St. Vincent de Paul.

He was married to the former Margaret M. (Marge) Leonard for 68 years; she survives him. Additional survivors include his children Margaret Maxwell (John Krauss), John (Cindy) Maxwell, Jane (Randy) Hughes, Mary Maxwell (Bill Walsh), Tom (Sarah) Maxwell, and Catherine (Patrick) Bonadurer, as well as 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, siblings Michael Maxwell, Mary Jane (Bob) Biro, Paula (Roger) Koch, sister-in-law Carron Maxwell and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Vincent Maxwell, siblings Peter Maxwell, Thomas Maxwell, Therese Maxwell and sisters-in-law Mary Maxwell and Therese Maxwell.

Visitation will be Friday, November 11, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2905 Carson Avenue, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Vincent de Paul at the same address.
