They help to notify friends, family, and acquaintances of the funeral or memorial service details, allowing them to pay their respects and offer condolences.

What information should be included in an obituary?

A typical obituary includes the deceased person's full name, age, date of birth and death, place of residence, occupation, education, military service (if applicable), hobbies, achievements, and surviving family members. Yes! Many pet owners choose to write heartfelt tributes to their beloved companions. These can be published online or shared with friends and family as a way to celebrate the pet's life.

What is the purpose of an obituary headline?

How do I handle errors in an already-published obituary?

Contact the publication or online platform immediately if you discover errors in a published obituary. They will work with you to correct the mistakes as soon as possible.
