Louanne retired as a First-Grade teacher from Clio Area Schools. She was a member of Bethany Methodist Church, member of Tabitha Circle, member of the Lions Club Auxiliary, member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Lavern worked at General Motors for many years before retiring. Lavern was a simple man who found joy in some of life's simplest pleasures - fishing, camping, bowling, and playing cards. He loved watching sports, especially cheering on his favorite teams - the University of Michigan, Detroit Lions, and Detroit Tigers.

Mass of Resurrection will be held at 12PM Thursday, May 23, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church – 11110 Saginaw St., in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Roy Horning officiating. Ralph was born February 15, 1935, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Bartolo and Francisca (Mendoza) Guevara. He graduated from Saginaw High School with the class of 1953. Upon graduating, Ralph proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a paratrooper in the 11th Airborne Division. His service was a source of great pride, symbolizing his dedication to his nation. Ralph married Elena Rae Stornello on December 23, 1975. They enjoyed 48 wonderful years together and had 2 children. Ralph was married to the late Ann E. Houlihan from 1953 to 1969 and they had 4 children together. Ralph retired as an electrician from General Motors in 2000 with over 47 years seniority and was a member of the UAW Local #668. He was also a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church since 1975, and the Birch Run Moose Lodge #2426.

Ralph loved to tell stories, and he was really good at it. He loved to “hold court” as his family would say – telling stories about past times living in the projects, jumping out of airplanes as a paratrooper, winning the 1957 batting title with a batting average of 479, playing on the 1957 Hispanic Basketball championship team, the first in Saginaw County. Was he pulling our leg? Did he really do all those things? We surely believed him!! Ralph continued to enjoy sports and playing his treasured saxophone. He was the lead saxophonist in his band, "Ralph Guevara and the Latin Serenaders". He continued to play saxophone with the Saginaw Area Concert band through January 2024. Ralph loved to talk with anyone and was an easy man to talk to, though nothing was better than sitting around telling stories with family and friends. He had an incredibly sharp mind and could remember details from all his various exploits and adventures. The man loved a good cigar on occasion, and dancing with his beloved partner, Elena – especially to Lou Rawls.

A beloved patriarch who welcomed everyone into his steadily expanding family, you always knew that family came first with Ralph. Whether as a steadfast spouse, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, father-in-law, friend, and everything in between. He always looked forward to seeing everyone and hanging out always seemed like a party and time to celebrate. Ralph loved life and his greatest pleasure were the people around him. If he knew you for more than five minutes, you got a nickname. He had the most kind and generous spirit. Ralph had a knack for getting along with everyone in every situation. No matter who you were, he would find a way to get a laugh from you – he was just warm and easy that way. Quick with a joke, smile, and an interest in what you were about. If you were honored to have Ralph as a friend, he was a true one for sure. He will be greatly missed by all who know him but left behind quite a legacy of love that everyone will cherish forever.

Born in Alma, MI on March 28, 1970, Angel touched the lives of many with her adventurous spirit and unwavering love for her family and community. Angel was a graduate of Meridian High School, class of 1989, and on July 14, 1990, she married her beloved best friend, Tom Schaefer. Together, they shared a beautiful life filled with love and cherished memories. Angel was a woman of strong faith, an active member of Journey Ministries in Davison, where she found solace and purpose. Known for her passion for children's ministries and her dedication to Covenant Hills Camp, Angel was a powerhouse in the community, always willing to lend a helping hand and bring a smile to those in need. She also found joy in working as a Paraprofessional at Holy Rosary Catholic Church and volunteered as a den mom for 2 years. Angel adored her family above all else, cherishing every moment spent with her loved ones. She was an active member of the 4Given 4x4 Off Road Club, finding camaraderie and adventure in her excursions. Fond of the simple pleasures in life, Angel found joy in the little things – from sipping her favorite coffee to capturing memories through painting, crafting, and scrapbooking. Her love for travel took her from coast to coast, but her heart always found solace in the peaceful shores of the Outer Banks in North Carolina. Her kindness and love will forever be remembered by those fortunate enough to have known her.

Obituary Preview: Wayde Marston, born April 5, 1970, of Montrose, MI passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday May 15, 2024, at the age of 54. Wayde was a selfless son, who took care of his parents for over 19 years in their home. He was also a devoted brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He had been self-employed as a master tile setter and floor layer for many years with Puzzle Master Inc. Wayde’s custom work can be found in many homes and businesses in our community and beyond. He enjoyed playing guitar, hiking, rafting, kayaking, hunting, and landscaping.

Wayde is survived by his three sisters; Chrissy (Jim) Beedy, Lisa (Travis) DeVore, Natalie Baughman; Nieces and Nephews: Skip Baughman, Kristen Baughman, Paige (Alex) Kushon, Grant Diechman, Derik DeVore, Charles Ramsey, Rebecca Ramsey, Amanda Ramsey, Nicole (Taylor) Rogers, Lauren Beedy; Grand nieces and nephews: Natasha Baughman, Skyler Baughman, Jennie Baughman, Harper Dickenson, Mitchell Dickenson, Roselyn Mark, Wynter Ramsey, Aurora Rogers, Wyatt Rogers, Levi Cummings; Aunt Beverly Treloar, Uncles; Everett (Tameka) Uptegraff, Rick (Marie) Butkowski; Special Cousins: Duane Stevens, Debra Blakely, and Pamela Jones, who helped with Wayde’s care and were committed to his comfort and dignity. Richard was born August 19, 1951, in Flint, Michigan, to Wilbert and Rita (Palacios) Burnett. He graduated from Northwestern High School in 1969, and later attended Mott Community College. Richard married the love of his life, Donna Jean Marrah on February 22, 1974, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Flint. Mr. Burnett is a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran, having achieved COSMIC ATOMAL Clearance during his service. Richard worked as a Letter Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for over 36 years before retiring in 2006. He was a faithful member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church where he served as a Sacristan & Altar Server. Richard was also a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers, Knights of Colombus – Good Shepherd Council #8669, and was a mentor for the Columbian Squires. He found solace in gardening & landscaping, and joy in other simple pleasures of life, such as hunting, camping, woodworking, and antiquing. He preferred to fix things, rather than buying new. In his final hours, he reminded his family of the values he found the most important - faith, family, and love.

Dick was as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was loved by all who knew him. As an avid golfer he shared his love of golf with his family. He enjoyed shooting pool with his neighbor, Dave He loved singing karaoke, especially the song Elvira. Win or lose he loved cheering on his Tigers. As puzzle enthusiast, he completed hundreds of puzzles. Dick is survived by the love of his life, wife, Darlene. He married Carol Taylor on March 6, 1965, in Cleveland Ohio. He retired from Buick City in 1997. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends in both Michigan and Florida. Harry enjoyed the occasional card game and corn hole. He adored his grandchildren.

She grew up in Carson City, Michigan and graduated from Carson City High School with the class of 1986. Dannette worked as a CNA for several years at Metron of Greenville. She enjoyed gardening, and taking trip through several states on motorcycles. Dannette loved spending time and living in Florida with Sam. However, her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her children and grandchildren who will miss her greatly.

John relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1972 with his family and resided there for 37 years before moving to Atlanta, Michigan. He worked for the Meat Cutters Union and in the construction industry for much of his life. In his spare time, John enjoyed gardening – specifically homesteading, fishing and especially home renovation projects. He was a jack of all trades and could fix just about anything. He loved his dogs, nature and all the wild animals that would come to visit him on his property. Above all, John cherished time spent with his family. He will be dearly missed.

Gary had a passion for the outdoors and spent many joyful hours hunting, fishing, and woodworking.
