She was the loving wife of Robert “Chink” Roberts for 64 years before his passing in 2012. Madeleine worked at Superior Electric for 24 years. After her retirement, she went to work at Filene’s. She enjoyed playing cards, specifically Bridge. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Madeleine is survived by her daughter Maureen Parent and her husband Ralph of Bristol; her grandchildren, Stephen and Colleen Parent of Farmington, Jennifer and Amitabh Khanna of Rocky Hill, Kenneth Roberts, Jr. of Bristol and Kelley Bourn of Bristol; her great-grandchildren, Heather Bourn, Madeleine Parent, Abbey Parent, Megan Khanna and Aaron Khanna. Besides her husband, Madeleine is predeceased by her son Kenneth Roberts and siblings Armande Lavigne, Marie Miron, Marion Burns, Gertrude Mason, Lucille Duncan, Rose Rogers, Lucian Salvas, Paul Salvas and Roger Salvas.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022 at O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol, starting at 9:45AM until a procession that will leave for St. Matthew Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.

She was born in Mt Kisco to Mabel Hyatt and Edmound Sands on August 23, 1930, she was 91 years young. Helen was the life of any party and would light up the room wherever she went with her wit and laughter.  She loved listening to Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett and took over the dance floor when she heard that music.  She spent countless hours on the phone with her sisters.  Family meant everything to her. Helen is survived by her children Ron and his wife Cindy Silvernale of Meriden, CT, Debbie and her husband Jerry Mueller of Southington, CT, Jeff Silvernale of Meriden, CT, Glenn Silvernale of Bristol, CT, Brian and his wife Caroline Silvernale of Coventry and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews, all of whom she cherished. Helen is also survived by her sister Katherine Disbrow of Millerton, NY, Edna and her husband Ray Newbauer of Bristol, CT, Mabel and her husband Carlisle Colt of Wallingford, CT, and Don and his wife Even Sands of Meriden, CT.  Helen was predeceased by her first husband Ronald Silvernale, Sr., and their son Steven Silvernale, her second husband Walter Cosseboom, 3 brothers Richard, Edward, and Douglas Sands, and one sister, Dorothy Graymore. A Service of Remembrance will be held at the Plainville Congregational Church, 130 West Main Street, Plainville, CT on Friday, July 22 at 1 PM.

Gary grew up in Methuen and Bristol, graduating from St. Paul Catholic High School in 1978. He attended college for two years before joining the United States Navy in 1981. He served proudly as a Machinist Mate 2nd (MM2) specializing in Nuclear Propulsion.
He was a member of the Polish-American Political Club in Terryville for over 30 years, and was honored to act as Vice President of the club for several years. Gary also loved watching sports, his teams being the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. Most importantly, Gary loved his daughter Emma. He enjoyed spending time with her and her horse, Jimmy, as well as cheering her on at Cornell polo matches.
Besides his mother Bernadette Wood of Granite Falls, NC, Gary is survived by his daughter, Emma Wood and her mother Wendy H. Wood, both of Pequabuck; and his brother Bryan Wood and his wife Deborah, of Granite Falls, NC; and many long-time friends.

Dorothy loved tending to her flower garden and relaxing on her patio glider with family and friends. She was known to collect rocks on the Cape Cod seashore and paint them with inspirational messages. One of her favorite sayings was, “All roads lead to home”. She loved God with all her heart. Dorothy was passionate about hunting for bargains at Kohl’s or the Christmas Tree Shops and was always up for a casino trip. She was a pensive soul and her family will always miss her smile. Besides her husband, Keith, Dorothy is survived by her sons Glen Brewer and his wife Tonya of Bristol, David Brewer and his wife Lynn of NH; daughters Connie Salsbury and her husband Mark of LA, Deb Cahill and her husband Joe of Bristol, Carol Letourneau and her husband Clem of Bristol, Suzy Fournier and her husband Don of Enfield, Jenny Joy Brewer of Bristol; 16 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; a sister Florence Simons of Bristol and several nieces and nephews. Dorothy is predeceased by her son Keith Brewer and siblings John Remecki, Janet Ziggiotto and Jean McLaughlin. The family would like to thank Trish Blake for her care and compassion over the last two years.
