Deborah Jean Wilson - July 31, 1935 - January 07, 2024

Obituary Preview: Deborah Jean Wilson, age 88 of St. Louis and formerly of Reno area in Bond County, passed away January 7, 2024, at Mercy Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri, surrounded by her loving sons and grandchildren.
Deborah Jean, the daughter of Willie Brooks Collins and Elva Dean McKelvey Collins, was born July 31, 1935, in Arkansas. She grew up in Paragould, AR and attended the local schools. She graduated from The Oak Grove School in 1953. She was a member of the FHA club, voted prettiest girl her senior year, and the 1952-1953 Queen’s Basketball, Senior Queen.
November 14, 1953, Deborah and Doyne Dean Wilson were united in marriage at Hernando, Mississippi. They enjoyed 57 years of marriage, Doyne passed away October 15, 2011. Deborah and Doyne raised their boys in Arkansas and Missouri before moving to Reno, Illinois in April of 1988.
In her younger years she was a homemaker and worked in hospitality at several hotels. In retirement, she was an avid Barbie doll collector, enjoyed gardening and canning, quilting and crafts. All her grandchildren continue to use and cherish the many quilts she made for them when they were younger.
Left to cherish Deborah’s memory are her two youngest sons Gary Wilson of St. Louis, MO and Tim (Agnes) Wilson of Stockton, California, two daughters-in-law Cherri (Bobby Joe) Wilson and Cynthia (David) Wilson, her grandchildren, Jeffrey (Chris) Bodimer, Bobby (Jenn) Wilson Jr., Shelly (Nick) Merryman, Shauna (Glen) Barton, Megan (John) Dell, Jason (Danielle) Wilson, and 14 great grandchildren.
Deborah is proceeded in death by her husband Doyne, and her two eldest boys Bobby Joe and David, her parents Willie and Elva, as well as her only sibling Tommy Collins.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service at The Village at Mackenzie Place, 8520 Mackenzie Rd. Affton, MO 63123, on Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 1 – 4 pm. Joyce was born March 30, 1939, in Tamalco, Illinois, the daughter of Herman and Goldie (Cook) Albert. She married Don Ennen on December 20, 1957, later they divorced. Together they had 3 children: Kathy (Rick) Thomas of Oakford, IL, Louise (Mike) Davis of Florence, AL, and Tim Ennen of Smithboro, IL. Grandchildren: Tonya Whitlow, Angie Justice, John (Laura) Justice, Rachel Myers, Jonathan Myers, Cody (Katelyn) Ennen, Madeline Boatright. Great-grandchildren: Zack Whitlow, Abby Whitlow, Emily Justice, Lauren Justice, Juniper Justice, Lucas Davis, Brooklyn Stockstill, Evelyn Perry, Jacklyn Perry, Tventon Perry, Logan Perry, Landon Perry, and Koda Ennen. She is also survived by her sisters June Wise and Mildred Evanich.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Charles “Sonny” Conner the love of her life for over 40 years, Rod Whitlow grandson-in-law, Shelly Goodin daughter-in-law, and siblings: Earl Albert, Don Albert, Margie Yeager, Bill Albert, Marilyn Stanton, Melba Owensby, and Merl Albert.
She worked for over 30 years at DeMoulin Brothers in Greenville. She would tell you her greatest accomplishments in life were her children and grandchildren and always putting them first. Joyce loved to sew, crochet, and work puzzles. Sonny and Joyce loved going to auctions, setting up at flea markets, playing cards, going to Bingo, picnics, and community events. She had a strong faith in God and He carried her through her life. Joyce was a member of the Columbus Baptist Church.

Frances Ann, the daughter of Sam Brown and Jewel Brown (Skinner), was born December 9, 1954, in St. Louis, Missouri. Frances attended the local schools and High School. She and De Ladd Peebles were united in marriage in 1974. They have enjoyed 48 years together.
She is survived by their 3 children: Michael Peebles and wife Amanda, Antione Peebles, and Monica Sauls and husband Cory. Frances was the loving grandmother of 9: Kayla, Micah, Jeanette, Ethan, Madisyn, Devin, Cortney, Maya, and Cayden. Frances was one of 7 children growing up, 3 are surviving: Clarence Brown, Jeanette Nelson and Geraldine Wilder. Preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Paul Brown, Deloris Parnell, and Charles Brown.
Frances loved people. She never met a stranger. Every person was just a friend she hadn’t met yet. She always saw the good in people, sometimes even when no one else could. Frances was skilled at making friends and building relationships. She used this skill for over 40 years as a teacher for Head Start Bond County where she supported the early education of children and their families. Because of her approachable personality, many people around the area know Frances and she enjoyed giving back to the community.

Virgil Dale Bush, Jr. was born January 20, 1958, in Centralia, Illinois. Virgil attended the local schools and graduated from Carlyle High School. He retired after 25 years with Monterey Coal. Virgil worked in Albers, Illinois until they closed and then Carlinville until he retired.
Virgil was married to Felicia Sanders. They divorced. He then married Judith Handegan on July 4, 1998, in Carlyle, Illinois. Judy is still surviving and his mother, Rosemary, is also living.
Virgil is also survived by his children; Tisha Lister and husband Bob of Trenton, IL, Nathan Bush of Keyesport, IL, Virgil Dale Bush III of Carlyle, IL, step-sons Denny Smith of Coffeen, IL, and Lee Smith of Coffeen, IL., sister Karen Ruesler of Waterloo, IL., brother Richard Bush and wife Jan of Decatur, IL., sister Linda Ferrell of Paola, KS. He was the loving grandfather of 8 and great-grandfather of 4.

He was a life long self taught mechanic (and most would say the best) You didn't have to ask him for help, if something needed worked on, he could smell it from a mile away and he was there...if it was broke, he was fixing it whether anyone liked it or not!! He loved the outdoors, fishing, camping and anything that had to do with making his grandkids smile.
Brian is survived by his son Justin Keith Brown (Mulberry Grove, IL). His step Children, numerous grandkids and his sister Michelle Brown (Little Rock, Arkansas).

Mary Ann, the daughter of Harry and Velma (Emerick) Wehrle, was born May 29, 1929, in Mulberry Grove, Illinois. Bobo was a life-long Mulberry Grove resident. She attended the public schools and graduated from Mulberry Grove High School. Mary Ann and Loren Redenbo were united in marriage on March 6, 1948 in Arkansas. They enjoyed 72 years of marriage before his passing on August 23, 2000.
Bobo was a beautician in Mulberry Grove. She attended and graduated from cosmetology school in Centralia and started working in Vandalia and Mulberry Grove. Mary Ann then worked from home for over 30 years doing hair. Loren built his wife a studio in 1962, and she did hair there until she retired.
Her greatest loves were her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She and Loren enjoyed dancing and Mary Ann loved to play cards and shopping with her friends.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Vicki A. Hendricksmeyer and husband Dennis of Mulberry Grove, Illinois and Kathy Baldwin of Greenville, Illinois. 6 grandchildren: Michael (Shawna) Hendricksmeyer of Mulberry Grove, David (Amber) Hendricksmeyer of Greenville, Stephanie (Jerry) Goodin of Mulberry Grove, Scott (Ashley) Baldwin of Irving, Illinois, Kelsey (JD) Hopwood of Vera, Illinois and Nath Redenbo of Vandalia, Illinois. Also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law Kelly Redenbo, and a host of friends in Mulberry.

A.C. Weldon, Jr., the son of A. C. and Mary (Duff) Weldon, was born November 22, 1952. He was born in Gideon, Missouri, lived in Missouri and then in Illinois. A.C. attended many schools as he moved around with his parents growing up. A.C. worked for Kraft Foods in Granite City, Illinois. He meet the love of his life working there and married Sheila D. Cooley on May 29, 2015. A.C. and Sheila had been together for over 16 years before her passing on February 8, 2017.
Surviving are his children: Clinton Weldon and wife Melissa of Mulberry Grove, Illinois, Angela Waits and husband Thurmond of St. Louis, Missouri, Jason Griffin of Coffeen, Illinois, Sherry Alvarado of Greenville, Illinois, Shelby Welton and husband Raymond of Matoon, Illinois and Danielle Cade and husband Dale of Greenville, Illinois. He is also survived by his mother, Mary Weldon and siblings: Jerry Weldon, Janie Borgmand and husband Sam, Jojo Elam and husband Duane, Janice McKee and husband Bill and Joanie Moesner and husband Brian. Loving grandfather of 18; Piper, Nalani, Xavier, Drew, Noah, Haylee, Jason II, Lilliam, Kason, Aden, Brennon, Allie, Armani, Chance, Logan, Boston, Prudance and Lorelai.

Richard “Bosco” Edward Kissiar was born December 29, 1960 in Vandalia, Illinois. He was the son of Clyde Edwin and Tressie (Mayberry) Kissiar. He grew up in Bond County and attended the Mulberry Grove Schools. Richard was married to Lori Martin, they later divorced. He loved cars and was a talented mechanic. Richard worked for Crouch Auto Body for many years and then Ayers Auto. In his free time, you could find him hunting, fishing, tinkering around building something or spending time with his little buddy Mason Snow who lived next door or his faithful 4-legged companion Sam.
Richard is survived by his 2 sons: Justin Kissiar of Greenville and Robbie Kissiar of Greenville and a granddaughter Olivia Kissiar. He was one of 11 children: surviving are his sisters: Francis Kissiar of Dwight, Illinois, Ethel Kious of Dwight, Illinois, Laverna Kempfer of Sparta, Illinois, Millie Eggemeyer and husband Sam of Walsh, Illinois and Connie Stoecklin and husband Jim of Greenville, Illinois, brothers: Don Kissiar of Dwight, Illinois and Ron Kissiar of Woburn, Illinois. Nelda Elaine, the daughter of Laurel Edward and Joyce May Elam Bingham, was born June 3, 1924 in Litchfield, Illinois. Nelda grew up in Litchfield and Mulberry Grove, attended the local schools and graduated from Mulberry Grove High School with the class of 1942. During WWII Nelda worked at Western Cartridge in Alton and then at Hunter’s IGA. Nelda and Dale ran Sugg’s Meat Market in the late 1950’s. She operated Flamingo Beauty Shoppe in Greenville from 1962 – 1978. Moving to Mulberry Grove in 1980, Nelda worked at Crane packing until her retirement. She loved sewing, crafts and cooking in her spare time and during retirement.
Nelda and Dale Floyd Sugg were united in marriage on March 17, 1947. They enjoyed 55 years together before his passing on February 14, 2003. Surviving are their children: Ronald Sugg of Springfield, Illinois, Larry Sugg of Moro, Illinois, Gary Sugg and wife Janie of Sorento, Illinois, Mike Sugg of Mulberry Grove, Illinois, Mark Sugg and wife Natoma of Mulberry Grove,Shirley Louder of Westfield, MA and Teri Kern and husband Steve of Iuka, Illinois. Loving grandmother of 14 and great-grandmother of 26.
Nelda is preceded in death by her parents, husband Dale, sister Doris Knebel, daughter in-law Pam Sugg, and son-in-law Darrell Louder.

Ed was born on April 20, 1935 in Tamalco, son of Leo Barth and Geraldine Sutton Barth. He married Margaret Lach on November 5th, 1955.
They have three children: Kathy Barth Roberts and husband Ken Roberts of Vandalia, Joe Barth and Wife Nancy Kelly Barth of Highland, and David Barth and wife Marci Blackerby Barth of Vandalia.
Loving grandfather to: Tiffany Roberts Delacruz, Lauren Roberts Ash, Emily Barth, Jonathan Barth, Blake Barth, and Michael Barth. Great grandchildren include Jordan, Mya, and Ainsley Delacruz, and Louis and Ruby Ash.
Also survived by brother Jim Barth of Keyesport, and sisters Nancy Kuhn of Keyesport and Sally Lamar of Vandalia, and Pat Hinkle of O’Fallon Missouri and sister in law Lorene McKendree of Chicago.

The family will receive friends from 4 until 7 p.m. Sunday evening at the Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville. For those who desire memorials in Frank's memory may be made to the Mulberry Grove Church of Christ, or to Bond County Home Health and Hospice.
Frank Delano Peterson, the son of former Sheriff Woodrow Wilson Peterson and Violet Sandifer Peterson, was born on Christmas Day in 1932 in a farm house north of Greenville. Frank attended several one room schools and Greenville High School with the class of 1950. Frank joined Shell Pipe Line in 1953, living in Zionsville, IN for 10 years, Chicago, Michigan, Wood River, and Lima, Ohio for the last 10 years retiring in 1988. Frank and Lois moved back to the Peterson farm where Frank enjoyed the farm, woodworking, trap and skeet shooting, deer hunting and computers. Frank is a member of the Mulberry Grove Church of Christ.
Frank and Lois June Hueter were united in marriage on January 16, 1950 in Pocahontas, Arkansas and have enjoyed over 68 years together. Lois survives as do their two sons, William Frank (Cheryl) Peterson of Spring Hill, Florida, Michael Woodrow (Kim) Peterson, of north of Mulberry Grove, two sisters: Della (Don) Sautman of Greenville, and Rose (Jerry) Reichert of Blue Mound, Illinois. Frank is also survived by six grandchildren: Shelly Scott, Anna Gonzales, Mary Scott, Laura Peterson, Suzanne Zurn, Emily Peterson, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Donald Marion Roach, the son of Marion Franklin Roach and Lorene Ellen Gaffner Roach, was born on January 30, 1941 on the Roach farm in Pleasant Mound Township. He grew up on the Roach farm and attended the Seagraves and Smithboro schools graduating from Mulberry Grove High School with the class of 1959. Don worked at Bauer's Fur then answered his country's call by joining the United States Army on November 20, 1963 in St. Louis, MO raising to the rank of Sp-4, serving overseas 1 year, being honorably discharged on November 16, 1965 at Fort Lewis, Washington. Don returned to the farm near Mulberry Grove where he was a truck driver for two years. Don then joined the Illinois State Highway Department working for 30 years before his retirement. He also farmed all those years. Don love to hunt and fish. Don was a member of the Gilham Masonic Lodge # 809 A.F. & A.M., Ainad Shrine of East St. Louis, Il. and the Mulberry Grove Church of Christ.

Don is survived by children Carla (Tom) White, grandchildren; Christopher (Brie) LaMacchia, Mary Beth LaMacchia, Mikayla Roach, Dane Roach, and Braedon Roach, four great grandchildren, along with several step children and grandchildren.
Don and Carole A Newcum were united in marriage on April 5, 1980 in Coffeen and she preceded Don’s death on March 17, 2011.
Donald and Joyce E Wilson were united in marriage on September 1, 2012 and the Mulberry Grove Baptist Church and she survives.
Don is also survived by three brothers: Marvin (Yvonne) Roach of Mulberry Grove, Merlin (Sandy) Roach of Vandalia, and Martin (Cindy) Roach of Smithboro.

Judy Mae, the daughter of James Cole Jr. and Ula Mae (Pogue) Fulton, was born August 30, 1944 in Mountain View, Arkansas. She grew up in Southern California, attended the locals schools and graduated from Oxnard High School with honors. Judy worked various jobs, raised her family and attended some college in Quicy, California. She loved working retail management and was a quality control inspector at Felton Plastic Company. Judy was a member of the Columbus Baptist Church.
Judy was united in marriage to Maurice Dean Willis on November 25, 1960 in southern California. He survives as do children: Edwin Charles Willis of Mulberry Grove, IL, Sharri Lynn Willis and Donald Phillips "Tank" of Mulberry Grove, IL, Gary Ray Willis and wife Rebecca Lynn of Mulberry Grove, IL. Kenneth Dean Willis and wife Charlotte Lynn of California, and Ricky Reynolds of Susanville, California. She was a loving grandmother of 16: James Colt Willis, Alexis Mae Willis, Shawn Allen Willis, Kenley Hamel and husband Joe, Zackary Andrew Willis, Katherine Ray Willis, Sam Brown and wife Kelsey, Olivia Denay Willis, Michael Cole Willis, Heather Elizabeth Willis and Chandra Renee Willis, Christopher Reynolds, Jacob Reynolds, Abigail Downing, Maranda Devor Rikky Reynolds, and Faith Reynolds. She was the loving great-grandmother of Cannon and Cullen and 8 other great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister Jacki Basinger of California.
