Obituary Preview: Ruth Carbajal Flores, 95 passed away on May 23, 2023 in Casa Grande. She was born on February 29, 1928 to Trinidad Carbajal and Magdelina Vatea Barrera in Hurley, New Mexico.
Ruth was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother known for her kindness and generosity. In her younger years, she loved to travel and experience life and different cultures. She welcomed everybody with open arms and always made them feel at home. She was known as "La Mom" and "Grandma" to not just her family, but friends and neighbors alike. Her grand kids would say she had the best hugs and holiday cookies, and her great-granddaughter would say, "Grandma would always say yes when I wanted to play". Ruth lived a beautiful life full of Love and laughter and she will be in our hearts and missed forever.
She is survived by her son: Ronald C. Flores and his wife; three grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Alfred Flores Sr; and her son: Alfred Flores Jr.
Graveside Service will be held at 9am on Friday, June 2, 2023 at Mt. View Cemetery in Casa Grande.

He is preceded in death by his father and a sister Edilia Marquez; two brothers Arlo and Christopher Marquez. The mother of his children Melcina Davis. Services will be held on Thursday May 18, 2023, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with visitation to start at 8:00 a.m., Rosary at 8:30 a.m. and Funeral Mass at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery, Casa Grande, AZ

Douglas Lizotte - March 12, 1946 - April 26, 2023

Obituary Preview: Douglas (Doug) Lizotte, 77, of Eloy, AZ passed away peacefully on April 26, 2023, surrounded by his wife, 2 daughters and son-in-law after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Doug was born in Crookston, MN on March 12, 1946, to Leonard and Mildred Lizotte. After graduating from high school in Red Lake Falls, MN, Doug eventually moved to Minneapolis, MN where he lived prior to moving to Arizona.
Doug was an avid reader of murder mystery novels and was even inspired to take pen to paper to create his own short story. In addition to reading, he enjoyed hitting the links with Mary, his wife of nearly 55 years.
Doug was quick to start a conversation with those he encountered and was loved by all who met him. He came prepared with a joke and never failed to illicit a laugh, which continued until his last days.
Doug is survived by his wife, Mary, daughter Melissa Lizotte, daughter Andrea (Lizotte) Granstrom, son-in-law, Eric Granstrom, grandson, Matthew and granddaughter Leah.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Mildred Lizotte.
Services will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at St. Helen’s of the Cross in Eloy AZ. Mass will begin at 10:00 AM with visitation 1 hour prior to the mass and a luncheon to follow.

Ronald had a passion for music. He was a band leader for his band Southern Scratch for nearly 34 years. He enjoyed spending time teaching kids about music and learning about it as well. He won awards for his music, which he was proud of. He worked at
CCA and Florence high school. Ronald was kind and loving. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family and will be greatly missed.
Ron is survived by his children Brandis Joaquin; Sara Pablo and Amy Senatore, nine siblings; Dorothy Talayumptewa; Bernadette McCreery; Rose Marie Joaquin; Mary Lou Listo; Veronica Joaquin; Bertilla Joaquin; Patrick Joaquin Sr. Esther Gutierrez and Angelina Joaquin and seven grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Angelo Joaquin Jr., and Marcella Joaquin and two grandchildren, Dyrell K. Lopez, and Raela L. Senatore.

Mr. Antone was born on March 22, 1954, and was a son of Lee and Molly Antone. He was Catholic and was devoted to his family, a hard worker, determined, a believer in education, generous and caring.
He studied fine arts at Phoenix College and the electrician trade at Gila River Career Center. He worked in facility maintenance.
Survivors include his significant other, Sandy Monte; five sons, Anselm J. Antone II, Jared, Wyatt J., Eric L. and Joseph Antone of Palo Verde Stand and Blackwater; a daughter, Anselina Antone; three sisters, Elisa Antone, Geneva Wahpeta and Roselyn Antone, all of Palo Verde Stand; and three brothers, Larry Antone of Florence, Dallas Antone of Arizona City and Dion Antone of Palo Verde Stand. He was preceded in death by sisters Luciana Antone and Rose Esalio and brother Lincoln Antone.

Ofelia was gentle and had a kind spirit. She always showed love and compassion for her family and others. She loved cooking and sharing meals with her guests. Ofelia will be greatly missed by her family and by many. We are thankful in this life that we were able to be a part of her living journey.

He came to Ajo from Pasadena, California, in 2004 and lived here for the next 17 years. He married Erin Sipe in Tollison on April 26, 2019. He Studied Material engineering at GCC and was self-employed. His family says he enjoyed family time, video games, and loved watching movies.
Mr. Rivas was preceded in death by his great-grandmother Molly Ortega, his tia Pauline Stein, and his niece Miamor Delgado. He is survived by his wife, Erin Rivas; by his mother Veronica Gonzales; by his sons Brenden Rivas; Isaiah Rivas, Victor “Ducky” Rivas Jr. and Ruben Manuel Jr. by his daughter Cassandra Manuel; and by his brothers Gabriel Gonzales, Angel Delgado and Arturo Delgado.
Services will be held Saturday, January 7, at 11 a.m. at the Ajo First Assembly for God (Rock Church) with Pastor Glenda Kermode officiating. The burial will be at noon in the Ajo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Angel Delgado, Ruben Manuel Jr. Gabriel Gonzales, Daniel Machado, Brenden Rivas, Amador Gaitan, Martin Lopez, and Sylis Manuel.

Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 9, at Fountains of Living Water Church in Casa Grande. Funeral Mass celebrated at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Carol Ramon home in Little Tucson. Rosary recited at 1 p.m. Burial in Little Tucson Cemetery, Tohono O'odham Nation.

High school, Santa Rosa school, Casa Blanca school), and was a behavioral health counselor. He was a good person with a caring and kind heart which is reflected in his commitment to the nation. After 28 years Wilfrid retired from Bureau of Indian Affairs and missed all the children that he was able to drive.
Wilfrid is survived by his wife, Malinda Manuel and a sister, Ida Lopez, several nieces and one nephew. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother and sister, Marlene Miguel, and Austin Manuel.
Visitation will begin on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Manuel residence with burial to follow at 3:00 pm. at Chui Chu South Cemetery, Tohono O’odham Nation.
