Frederic H. Brandt - May 22, 1935 - December 10, 2023

Obituary Preview: The ultimate measure of a man's life is the lives he touched and the good he did in the world.
Frederic Holt Brandt, age 88, passed away peacefully at home on December 10, 2023.
Fred Brandt touched many people in every aspect of his life. Through his kindness and generosity of spirit, he gained the love and respect of everyone he encountered.
Fred was a lifelong resident of Johnson City, born on May 22, 1935, to the late George Franklin Brandt and Rosalie Jennings Brandt. He graduated from Science Hill High School in 1953 and received a BS from the University of Tennessee in 1957. Fred was in the U.S. Army from 1957-58 and in the Army Reserves from 1958-1966 where he attained the rank of Captain. In 1959 he graduated from the University of Tennessee Law School and began in private practice. Fred worked until a few months ago, continuing as he always had, to provide legal advice, words of wisdom, and kindness to his clients.
Fred not only had a long and well-respected career in Law, but also served the Johnson City community through his active participation in various organizations. He served as a Director of the Johnson City Boys Club, the Tennessee Mental Health Association, the Tri-City Head Injury Association and the Watauga Area Mental Health Center. Fred was also a member of the Salvation Army Board, the Crumley House Foundation Board and the Vestry at St. John’s Episcopal Church. Fred and his late wife, Zebbie, were active members of Poplar Ridge Christian Church. Fred and Zebbie committed significant time and energy on mission trips to remote areas of Central America. In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Zebbie Tipton Brandt, and by his siblings, Felicia Brandt Lawrence and George Brandt, Jr. He is survived by his three children, Stacey Brandt Nadeau (Rick), Rosemarie Brandt and Stephen Brandt (Deana), along with his stepchildren Joshua Campbell and Justin Campbell. In addition are his loving (and much loved) grandchildren, Jason (Emily), Brandt and Megan Nadeau; Johnathon Brandt; Layla, Leighanna and McKinnley Campbell; Austin Minnick and Channing Blaylock and his great-grandchildren, Ross, Charlotte, James and Addie Nadeau and Cortana Blaylock

Obituary Preview: Elaine Ruth Hoilman, 79, Johnson City, passed away Friday, December 8, 2023, at Johnson City Medical Center, following a brief illness.
Elaine was born in Johnson City to the late Marvin Lee and Myrtle Greene Collins.
She was a wonderful Christian woman and was incredibly faithful to the Lord, her family and her church. She was very involved at Piney Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, in 2002, Jesse Hoilman, Sr.; one son, Richard Hoilman; and three siblings, Elizabeth Anderson, Charlie Collins and Wanda Baker.
Survivors include: children, Jesse (Donna) Hoilman, Mark (Gina) Hoilman, Sid Hoilman, Dewayne Hoilman, and Tammy (Lynn) Jones; one brother, Howard Collins; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4 PM until 7 PM on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral will take place at 1 PM on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The graveside service will immediately follow at Washington County Memory Gardens. Polly was born in Washington County to the late Jesse Davison and Dorothy Botholomai.
She graduated from Daniel Boone High School in 1977 and married the love of her life, Randy, in 1978. She worked as a night cleaner for WonderWorks in Pigeon Forge for several years.
Polly loved her family and her cats and especially her great grandbaby, Amara.
Survivors include: her husband, Randy McQueen; children, Heather Orton (Rick), Jessica McQueen and Jason McQueen (Melissa); grandchildren, Bailey, Brianna, Alex, Ryan, Justice (Kaitlyn) and Jaiden; great grandchild, Amara; very special friends, Cecil and Brenda Wishon; siblings, Richard Davison, Timothy Davison, James Bartholomai and Donna Sleeper; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Charles Snapp - May 19, 1937 - December 04, 2023

Obituary Preview: Charles “P.C.” Snapp, 86, former mayor and longtime public servant of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023, at his home.
He was a lifelong resident of Washington County, son of the late John Wendel Snapp and May Bell Humphrey Snapp. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps.
P.C. placed a great deal of importance on education. He earned a bachelor’s degree from ETSU in 1961 and went on to achieve his master’s in city and regional planning from the University of Tennessee by 1967. He put it to good use: for 30 years as the regional director of the Upper East Tennessee State Planning Office, 12 years as the Johnson City Commissioner, 14 years as the executive director of the Johnson City/Jonesborough/Washington County Economic Development Board, seven years as an adjunct instructor in the city management program at ETSU, and of course as the city’s mayor from 1989-91.
Throughout his career, P.C. was able to take part in many improvements to the community. In the service of local education, he pushed renovations to the city’s schools, as well as building five new ones and a library. To strengthen Infrastructure, he saw through expansions to State of Franklin Road via the Med Tech Corridor, pushed securing the city landfill, and helped to ease its burden with the implementation of the first curbside recycling program in the state of Tennessee. For the preservation of regional history and celebration of local tradition, he was instrumental in bringing the International Storytelling Festival to Jonesborough.
His accomplishments earned him due recognition, and he was inducted into the Johnson City Parks & Rec Hall of Fame in 1997 and the Johnson City/Washington County/Jonesborough Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame in 2011. He was also a member of ETSU Alumni Association Golden 50s Club, the ETSU Foundation, the Kiwanis Club, and First Presbyterian Church of Johnson City.
While P.C. worked hard throughout his life, he also enjoyed some well-earned leisure time. He and his wife enjoyed traveling with friends, visiting every state in the contiguous U.S. as well as taking several international trips to Canada, Mexico, Japan, Russia, Holland, and further. As a sports enthusiast, he enjoyed playing golf and coaching Little League Baseball. He was also an accomplished craftsman, his long-time hobby of woodworking producing many fine clocks and postal boxes over the years.
In addition to his parents, P.C. is preceded in death by: three brothers, Jim, Thad, and Henry; and two sisters, Margaret Ann and Flo.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 42 years, Mary Anne Snapp; children: Rob McBane and his wife, Michelle, and their children, Shelby and Meghan; Audra Olinger and her daughter, Mary Kate; Mike Snapp and his wife, Debbie, and their children, Kelsey and Lacey; and Scott Snapp and his children, Scott, Dylan, and Lucas; sister, Dixie Grindstaff and her husband, Mike; as well as four greatgrandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many more cousins and friends.
The family of P.C. Snapp will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, December 8, 2023, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 PM, officiated by Reverend Lester Lattany of Friendship Baptist Church.

A lifelong resident of Watauga, Larry was born on May 30, 1984, to Larry Dean Guinn, Sr. and Peggy Oliver.
Larry loved the outdoors and being outside. He enjoyed fast cars, and he liked dogs and chickens. He was a talented mechanic that could fix just about anything. Most of all, he loved his family; he was a loving father and husband. He was loved by many and he will be deeply missed.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Larry Dean Guinn, Sr. and his uncle, Charles Guinn, Sr.
Those left to cherish Larry’s memory include his mother, Peggy Oliver; wife, Heather Guinn; children, Brylon Guinn, Jayla Guinn, Layla Guinn, and Alaya Guinn; sisters, Melissa Guinn, Heather Guinn-Barnett, and Lindsay Guinn-Gray; brother-in-law and best friend, Scottie Barnett; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Xander Joseph Pierce - August 31, 2007 - December 03, 2023

Obituary Preview: Xander Joseph Pierce, 16, of Johnson City, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital in New York City, following a long battle with Fibrolamellar liver cancer, an extremely rare subtype of liver disease.
He was a lifelong resident of Johnson City, son of Charles Jason Pierce and Mitzi Phillips Pierce Henley. He was a sophomore at Science Hill High School.
Xander chose to find happiness wherever he was and could be counted on to bring it with him if he couldn’t find it around him. He loved going to movies and posting his latest dance moves on Tik Tok. He had a wonderful loving nature and would take any chance he could to get a laugh or to give a smile to somebody else with a good-natured prank.
The simple pleasure of the outdoors was never wasted on him, and many hours were spent hiking, camping, or out on the lake. Doe River Gorge Ministries held a special place in his heart, and he loved to participate in their retreats. The spirit of fellowship he found there and at Redeemer Community Church really helped to strengthen his servant’s heart. Before his illness got in the way, Xander had felt called to help the local homeless and was eager to build a local club in Johnson City to cook and serve meals to those in need.
Xander is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandfathers, Joseph Pierce and Harley Phillips.
Those left to cherish his memory include: his parents, C. Jason Pierce, Mitzi Pierce Henley and husband Scott; brother, Jaxon Pierce; paternal and maternal grandmothers, Mildred Pierce and Linda Harris; uncles, Jonathan Pierce and wife Kasi, Lee Phillips, and Brandon Stalcup; cousins, Kendall Pierce, Lauren Pierce, Joshua Stalcup, and Stasia Stalcup; close friends, Reed McCown, Ayden Ewing, and Stone Seivers; and beloved dog, Storm.
The family of Xander Pierce will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, December 15, 2023, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. Stephen was born February 25, 1951, in Cleveland, Ohio. He attended Ohio Wesleyan University where he earned a bachelor's degree. His passion was arts and theatre. He worked as a stagehand for many years all over the place, even on Broadway in New York City. Stephen also served as a pastor for many years. His ministry is what brought him to east Tennessee.
Stephen enjoyed smoking his pipe and his ganja, he loved to travel especially to Europe and Ireland, and he loved comedy.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jan, in 2018; his parents; and several siblings.
Left to cherish his memory includes his very best friend, Brandon Davis.

She was born in Washington County and was the daughter of the late Milburn Sr. and Pearl Saylor Kirkpatrick.
She was a charter member of Princeton Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Nolichucky Chapter #194. Betty always had a good time wherever she was. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and had been in almost all of the states. Most of all, she was proud of and loved her family.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by: her husband, N. Wayne Parker; an infant son; two brothers, Milburn Kirkpatrick, Jr. and Eugene E. Kirkpatrick; and one sister, Norma Hale.
Survivors include: one son, Stephen Parker and his wife Pamela Adams Parker, of Kingsport; grandsons, Patrick Adam Parker and Shayne Tyler Parker, both of Kingsport; and nieces and nephews.
The family of Betty Parker will receive friends from 12 PM until 1 PM Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 1 PM with Rev. Jason Roddy officiating. A lifelong resident of east Tennessee, Stacey was born June 26, 1977, to Hayes Osborne and Amy Hickam Gray in Kingsport, Tennessee. She graduated from Science Hill High School in 1995. One of Stacey’s favorite past times was being on TikTok, and she enjoyed going to the pool. Every year, Stacey looked forward to going on a girls’ trip with her mother and daughter. She took many trips to Florida, she loved the beach, Disneyworld, and the Florida Gators. Stacey’s most favorite thing of all was spending time with her granddaughter, Avery, who affectionately called her “Kiki.”
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Bill and Nell Hickam and paternal grandparents, Arthur and Sally Osborne.
Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Amy (Paul) Gray; father, Hayes (Nancy) Osborne; daughter, Brooke (Caleb) Covey; granddaughter, Avery Dubuisson; uncle, Steve Hickam; step-brothers, Wayne Ollis and Mark Ollis; best friend, Stefanie Walters; and her special cat, Tina.

William Raleigh King - March 11, 1935 - November 28, 2023

Obituary Preview: The heavens opened to receive William Raleigh King, 88, of Johnson City, Tennessee, on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. William, known by his friends and family as WR had survived his siblings Sue King Jones, Gwen King Hale, and Boyd King, all from Johnson City, and survived his youngest brother, Billy Joe King of Greensboro, NC. They celebrate his arrival in heaven and the angels sing as his earthly family weeps.
He is survived by the love of his life and devoted wife, Leova Holly King; his children, Kathy King Pitts (Ray) of Lake Royale, NC and Michelle King Montgomery (Todd) of Raleigh, NC; stepchildren, Ralph Saylor, Jr. (Shannon) of Hoschton, GA and Charles Saylor of Johnson City; twelve grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. WR and Loeva have numerous loving nieces and nephews throughout Johnson City, Shelton Laurel, Greensboro, Oakridge, NC, West Palm Beach, FL, Orlando, FL, Indiana, and Alabama.
Although William was born in Shelton Laurel, NC, he grew up in Johnson City. He relocated to Greensboro, NC where he worked and retired from the City of Greensboro and raised his family. He moved back to Johnson City in the late ‘90s and lived happily until the time of his death. He and Loeva both attended Ashbury Grammar School in Johnson City. They are members of East Pine Grove Park Methodist Church where a Celebration of Life will be held.
William was a kind and gentle spirit like no other earthly person. He already had his wings when he arrived here. His heart was full of goodness and love. He was a loving and endearing husband, father, and teacher of all things. He was a master storyteller and loved to tell a good joke. He was funny and easy going, lighthearted, and patient. WR was an animal whisperer who loved feeding his squirrels and birds who trusted him enough to eat right from his hands through the kitchen window. He spoke dog language somehow and always had companions throughout his life. He never met a stranger and would give the shirt off his back if he saw someone in need. He was just too good for this world. He often said that he was tired, and his body was just worn out. The family finds comfort in the fact that he lived a long and fruitful life and that was ready to go. He said had a blessed life and had been happy. He knew he was loved right up until the last minute, and he made sure we knew that he loved us too. He was at home in bed surrounded by family at the time of his passing. Exactly the way he wanted it.

Jakie "Jake" Starnes - September 22, 1942 - November 24, 2023

Obituary Preview: Jakie Roy Starnes, 81, of Johnson City, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was a lifelong resident of Washington County, a graduate from Boones Creek High School and Steed Community College. He was the son of the late James and Jessie Phipps Starnes.
Jake was a happy, strong, hardworking man, always providing for his family. A man filled with a sweet, kind, and loving soul. Known as Uncle Jake, Papaw, and then as “Pop” by all. He was full of life spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed many hobbies, golf being his favorite; he was a very talented golfer and spent many hours playing with friends.
He taught us kids how to play sports, work hard, be tough, enjoy the outdoors, and how to laugh, play and have fun. His sense of humor and his smile always made us laugh! He had a soft spot in his heart for animals and taught us how to love and care for them. His sweet puppy, “Tippy”, loved him too and will miss him dearly.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Patsy “Susie” Starnes; and one brother-in-law, Lewis Barnes and his wife Doris.
Survivors include: daughters, Julie Smith (Leo) and Janet Presnell (Randy); granddaughters, Kayla Jones (Ryan) and Kassidy Parmer (Logan); great-granddaughter Harper Parmer; sister, Nonie Keyes (Mike); brothers, Jim Starnes (Shirley) and Rick Starnes (Susie).
Jake was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle, papaw, and friend. He is rejoicing in Heaven now with his wife and the love of his life, Susie! You made this world a better place. Enjoy your party in Heaven! We love you.

Tammy Plunk Osborne, 59, Johnson City, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 24, 2023, at her residence.
Tammy was born in Johnson City to the late Bernard and Alma Ruth Plunk.
She was of the Christian faith and a member of River of Life Baptist Church. Tammy worked for American Water Heater and, after 28 years, had planned to retire this coming January.
Tammy graduated from Daniel Boone High School, Walter’s State with an associates degree and finally National College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Accounting, with honors. Tammy was the most selfless, loving wife and mother who spoiled her husband and kids and was looking so forward to spoiling her first grandchild. In addition to her full time job, Tammy kept the books for the family farming operation, worked and sorted cattle, provided meals for the crew during harvest and any other task her husband and son could talk her into. In recent years, Tammy enjoyed antique and thrift shopping with her daughter for old furniture to refurbish, so much that her husband had nicknamed her "Crafty Tammy."
In addition to her parents, Tammy was preceded in death by: two sisters, Diana Presley and Sarah Howell.
Survivors include: her husband of over 34 years, Benny Osborne; son, Tyler Osborne and his wife Hope; daughter, Virginia Osborne; her first grandchild, due to arrive this January, Carly Marie Osborne; three siblings, Bernard Plunk, Jr., Brenda Johnson, and Mark Plunk and his wife Kristine; several nieces and nephews; and one brother-in-law, James Presley.

Brendan was the absolute happiest little boy. He loved playing and getting into everything with his sister and partner in crime, Shaylin. They were inseparable. Bath time was one of his favorite things to do, as well as, play time with daddy, cuddles with mommy, dancing with Jeremy and getting lovin’s from “momma” Cristy. He loved his blankets and could never go to sleep without one. Brendan was adored by everyone he got to meet and was loved so deeply by his family. We will miss him with that big smile every second of every day, forever.

Mildred was born September 23, 1930, to the late Charles Lee Carver and Naomi Bradford Carver in Dry Creek, West Virginia. It was while working at Dairy Queen on Market Street in 1951 that she met Merv Pratt, who ran the Dairy Queens in east Tennessee. They were married January 10, 1953, and Mildred continued working at Dairy Queen until the birth of their daughter, Mary Lynne in 1956. She was an excellent homemaker and made her family her hobby. Mildred always supported her husband and daughter in their pursuits of flying airplanes and riding horses.
She was a longtime member of Grace Brethren Church and she last attended services at Johnson City Alliance Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Bill Carver, Ted Carver, Ruth (and Wayne) Isaacs, and Charlie Joe Carver.
Those left to cherish her memory include her devoted husband of 70 years, Mervin Pratt; daughter, Mary (and Steve) Dwyer of Saco, Maine; brothers, Jim (and Loretta) Carver, John (and Renée) Carver, and Tom (and Anne-Marie) Carver; sister-in-law, Linda Carver; and many nieces and nephews.

Obituary Preview: Patricia Pitts Toohey, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, passed away on November 8, 2023, in Johnson City, Tennessee. She was born on January 1, 1945, in Radford, Virginia, to Edward Jackson and Mary Ann Pitts. Patricia, known to her loved ones as Patti, spent the majority of her life in Johnson City.
Patti was a precious soul who could best be described as a sweet, kind, full of life kind of person. Her smile had the ability to light up any room she entered, and she was always the life of the party. Loving, taking care of, and making memories with her family was what made her most happy. Patti's strong faith and love for Jesus were a testament to all those around her. She was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside.
She graduated from Science Hill High School in 1963 and attended East Tennessee State University. Patti met and later married the love of her life, Bill Toohey, in May of 1966. They were blessed with two daughters who they dedicated the next two decades to raising. Patti worked as an executive assistant at East Tennessee State University and retired in 2005 following 25 years of faithful service.
Patti was a long-standing member of First Presbyterian Church of Johnson City for 58 years and later was a member of First Christian Church for 20 years.
Patti is survived by her loving husband, Bill Toohey, her daughter Karen Toohey Loyd, son-in-law Steve Loyd, daughter Kim Toohey Reid, son-in-law Arthur Reid, her grandchildren: Heath Loyd (spouse Lara), Hayley Loyd Fooshee (spouse Sterling), Jackson Reid (spouse Bella), Jamison Reid Trammell (spouse Trey), and Josi Reid, her great-grandchildren: Blakely Reid and Cecilia Loyd, her two brothers and sisters in law Jack and Patti Pitts and Mike and Cheryl Pitts, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Edward Jackson and Mary Ann Pitts, as well as her sister Janice Pitts Randolph.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the amazing caregivers, nurses, and doctors who cared for, supported, and encouraged Patti over the last 18+ years. They extend special gratitude to Ashley, Sharon, Bedar, Geraldine, Abby, Mary, Josh, Bryan, Oliver, Eric, Mike and Stevie for their exceptional care, concern, and love.

Donna loved her family, her home in the mountains, and her beloved dog, Rebel. She loved the Lord with all her heart and soul. She retired from Siemens in 2005, and in her later years, she found new purpose and joy in caring for the elderly.
In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her one and only true love, Roger Ramsey.

Paul was very religious but in a quiet kind of way. He loved photography, traveling, and spending time with his wife, Emma, and two dogs, Charlie and Tillie. He will be greatly missed.
Paul was preceded in death by his father, Paulino Solon and special dog, Duke.

William Boyd Grove - April 24, 1929 - October 27, 2023

Obituary Preview: William Boyd Grove died October 27, 2023, in Johnson City, Tennessee, at the age of 94, secure in Christ’s promise of resurrection. He was a Christian, a follower of Jesus, and a bishop in the United Methodist Church.
Born on April 24, 1929, in Johnstown, PA, he was the oldest of three sons of William Morgan Grove and Elizabeth Boyd Grove. He graduated from Bethany College (BA), Drew University (MDiv), and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary (DMin) and was recipient of several honorary degrees. In 1992 he was named a Distinguished West Virginian by Governor Gaston Caperton.
For 72 years he was married to Mary Lou Naylor Grove, whom he knew since childhood and who was his partner in life and ministry. They were parents of two daughters.
Bishop Grove was ordained in 1954 in the Pittsburgh Conference of the Methodist Church, where he served four pastoral appointments and was elected delegate to the General and Jurisdictional Conferences from 1968 through 1980.
In 1980 he was elected and consecrated a bishop and assigned to the West Virginia Episcopal Area (1980-92) and the Albany (NY) Area (1992-96). He was called from retirement to serve the West Virginia Area again in 2012.
Bishop Grove had lifelong commitments to social justice and the unity of Christ’s Church, and served as president of the denomination’s General Board of Church and Society (1984-88) and General Commission on Christian Unity and Interreligious Concerns (1988-96).
In 1996 he was named Ecumenical Officer of the Council of Bishops, the first to hold that office. He led United Methodist delegations to the National Council of Churches, the Consultation on Church Union, and the World Council of Churches Assembly in Harare, Zimbabwe.
Bishop Grove had deep and abiding love for the mountains and the people of Appalachia, especially West Virginia, where he and Mary Lou returned in retirement and lived until moving to Johnson City, TN in 2017 to be near family. He chaired the Appalachian Development Committee for the UMC and worked tirelessly to advocate for the region.
Bishop Grove was a poet and hymn-writer. He was known for his wisdom, grace, encouragement, and kindness and as a builder of bridges. He had a gift for relationship and was beloved by people around the world who were profoundly influenced by his life and example. He was predeceased by his parents and one brother, Robert Morgan Grove, and one sister (by marriage) Jane Naylor.
In addition to his wife Mary Lou, he is survived by his children, Douglas (by marriage) and Susan Grove-DeJarnett and Rebecca Janczewski; grandchildren Hannah Grove-DeJarnett, Ryan (by marriage) and Gretchen Frankenberry, Alex (by marriage) and Carissa Park, Daniel William Janczewski, and Sarah Janczewski; great-grandchildren Julia Frankenberry and Thatcher William Frankenberry; siblings Barbara (by marriage) and David Grove and Susan Kilmer Grove (by marriage); several cherished nieces and nephews; and countless clergy sons and daughters across the Church.
The Grove family expresses deep gratitude to the staff of Colonial Hill Retirement Center, who became family to him, and to the staffs of Johnson City Medical Center and SOFHA, especially Dr. Michael Snyder, Dr. Paula Smith, Kimberly Jackson, and Andy Bollinger, for their compassionate care.
Suggestions for memorial gifts include The United Methodist Foundation of West Virginia for ministries and relief aid to children in war-torn areas; The William Boyd and Mary Lou Grove Trust at the United Methodist Foundation of West Virginia; and The Bishop William Boyd Grove and Mary Lou Grove Scholarship Fund at West Virginia Wesleyan College.
