Her kindness was her greatest asset and led to many deep friendships, often involving a cold Voodoo Ranger beer and a lot of laughter. Her friends and family will definitely be raising a glass in her memory. Known as the "Costco Queen" her husband is convinced the only limits in life Diana could not overcome were the dimensions of the trunk space on her car.
Diana is survived by her husband, Gerald T. Kilpatrick (Gerry); her sons Gerald T. Kilpatrick, Jr. (wife Cheryl Kilpatrick)  and Douglas C. Kilpatrick; her daughter Jane I. Pressler (husband Nickalus Pressler); her grandsons Noah Pressler (23), Ian Kilpatrick (23), Jacob Pressler (20); and her granddaughter Maggie Kilpatrick (18).
Visitation and a short service will be held at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home on May 10th from 5pm to 7pm, located at 181 South Caldwell St., Brevard, NC 28712. The family asks, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Four Seasons Hospice Care at www.fourseasonsfdn.org.

Kenneth Roger Williams - March 03, 1945 - April 26, 2024

Departed: 04/26/2024 (Brevard)
Obituary Preview: Ken Williams, 79, was peacefully at home in Brevard, NC, when his struggle with an extended illness finally ended on April 26, 2024.
Kenneth Roger Williams was born on March 13, 1945, the eldest child of Kenneth and Jean Williams. He grew up in Niles, Ohio, but throughout a busy career in engineering and construction, he and his wife of 57 years, Pam, lived in places as diverse as Spain, Chile, Turkey, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Alabama, Louisiana, Texas, and Florida. He owned Ridge Professional Group in Lakeland, Florida, before retiring to North Carolina several years ago. They toured widely in Europe and the Middle East, so their children saw more of the world as babies than many people see in their whole lives. Ken was an avid photographer and active in the Land of Waterfalls Camera Club of Brevard. He worked his way through school as a newspaper and wedding photographer but continued to chronicle his life and travels with Pam and their children for the next six decades. His early work for the Niles Daily Times and Youngstown Vindicator covered major news events. His pictures appeared (uncredited) on the Dave Clark Five album “American Tour.”
He was proud that their two sons excelled following his passions. Chris is a successful commercial photographer based in Washington, DC., while Mark is managing partner at a Houston engineering firm. He found it rewarding to see them take their respective work to an even higher level than he had achieved.
Ken also enjoyed researching his family’s history and tracing their genealogy. He collected documents, photographs, and family Bibles and visited old hometowns, homesteads, and countries of origin. He said he wanted their granddaughter Emily to know about her family.
Friends and family fondly remember Ken as a barbecue connoisseur, ranging widely from Peebles in Lakeland, Florida, to Hawg Wild in Brevard, NC, and many others across the South. He also approached chocolate milkshakes like James Bond approached martinis. He always ordered them with precise directions: vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup. His other favorite treat was a frozen Milky Way.
Other warm memories will include gathering around his old slide projector in one of their living rooms over the years to watch his narrated presentations of the family’s adventures. Over glasses of iced tea or Pepsi (never Coke) and bowls of popcorn, they would learn (or hear again) about Pam at the Pyramids, Baby Chris in Paris, or Baby Mark in Chile. He was always excited to have someone new join that circle so he could share the memories with them.
Ken is survived by his wife, Pamela; children Chris (Jessica del Vecchio) and Mark (Michelle); granddaughter Emily; and siblings Carolyn (Larry) Pytlik, Joanne (Lamar) Patterson; Barbara (Robert) Cross, David Williams (Mary Ream), and Donna (Mike) Carrino. He was predeceased by his parents, brother Donald Williams, sister Patricia Solida, and nephews Dustin Slick and Kevin Graff.
A Celebration of Life will be held June 1, 2024, from 2-4 PM at the Deerlake Village Clubhouse.

Ronnie Monroe Morgan - October 14, 1955 - April 16, 2024

Departed: 04/16/2024 (Brevard)
Obituary Preview: Ronnie Monroe Morgan of Pisgah Forest passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024. At the time of his passing, he was 68 years old. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Morgan and mother Janie Brinkman. He is survived by his wife, Sandy and daughter Joanna Morgan, brother Russell and sister Debbie, as well as several aunts and cousins.
There were many facets to Ronnie, but his guiding principles were, Faith, Family, Friends, and service. He has unshakeable, immovable faith that Jesus Christ was his Savior and that all his undertakings needed to reflect the teachings of Jesus and the grace filled love of God.
Was he perfect? He would be the very first to tell you not, in fact, he often told people that he was the chief sinner among sinners. To not look at him as an example but to look to Jesus. He tried hard to serve Jesus by helping others as he could and loving them no matter how they treated him. He always looked beyond circumstance to what could be, rather than what was. He always wanted to help and serve others.
Ronnie and Sandy celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on April 7th. Together they travelled and faced their successes and failures with courage, faith, and determination. Each of them picked up where the other left off, true complements to each other. His joy was Joanna his daughter. Her character, her strong work ethic, and her love for others are truly a reflection of his guidance, and he was very proud of her. He often told Sandy that he did not know where Joanna got such a kind and loving heart, he thought none of it could have come from him, he was so wrong about that, there is so much of him in her. Ronnie developed and ran a successful construction business for years and built many fine homes in the area, but he also balanced the twelve-hour days with being active in travel, sports, churchwork and community events. He was a Brevard Blue Devil, Miami Dolphin, and Carolina Panther Fanatic. He loved fishing, boating, camping, and dragging bookworm Sandy out doing these things with him. But none of these activities lured him and kept him involved like deer hunting. He loved the early morning hours in the deer stand and would call Sandy from the stand, waking her up at the crack of dawn to describe what he was seeing as nature woke up. You can imagine how much she encouraged him to keep doing that…
Ronnie loved being on job sites and laughing and cutting up with subcontractors and his friends. In fact, that was one thing he hated about retirement, he missed the fun times at work. But some of his best times were those he had with friends at the hunting camp and on the lake fishing. He truly treasured each one of his friends.
Sandy and Joanna invite all of Ronnie’s friends and family to his celebration of Life on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 2:00pm at Grace Baptist Church, 10 West Holden Road, Brevard.
