Departed: 11/10/2023 (Margate)
Obituary Preview: It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend, and a true patriarch, Bruno Musskopf. Bruno's life was a testament to love, family, and the joy of simple pleasures. He was a source of unwavering support, a wellspring of wisdom, and a shining example of how to live life with integrity.
Bruno was born on September 6th, 1946 in Lajeado, Brazil, to Silirio Lothar Musskopf and Erna Preussler Musskopf. Bruno grew up in Estrela, Brazil, a place which held a special part of Brunos heart throughout his life. He worked tirelessly for many years at Citibank, dedicating himself to his profession and providing for his family. But beyond his professional life, it was the warmth of his character and the richness of his experiences that truly defined him.
Fondly known as Eagle One, Bruno was a family man through and through, a wonderful husband to his beloved wife, Circe Musskopf, and a cherished father to his three sons, Felipe Musskopf (wife, Jackie Musskopf), Gustavo Musskopf (wife, Susie Musskopf), and Alexandre Musskopf (wife, Ashley Musskopf). His role as a father was more than a title; it was a labor of love. He instilled in his sons the values of hard work, respect, and the importance of family bonds.

He watched them grow with pride and was always ready with a warm smile, and a helping hand. His love for them knew no bounds, and he leaves behind fond memories and life lessons that will guide them throughout their own journeys.
Bruno loved having his family together, and his favorite way to do that was through the art of barbecue, especially churrasco. His dedication to the art of barbecue went beyond the grill grates, as he meticulously crafted and built a brick barbeque at his home.
Bruno, a passionate chess enthusiast, found joy in the intricacies of the game. His prowess was legendary, especially within the walls of his home, where his sons never managed to claim victory against him.
Bruno and his beloved wife, Circe, shared a deep and enduring love that was an inspiration to all who knew them. They spent countless days together on the beach, relaxing in the sun and indulging in Brazilian beach fare. Their love was a testament to the power of a true partnership, full of commitment and devotion.
Bruno Musskopf's life was a beautiful tapestry of love, laughter, and cherished moments. He leaves behind a legacy of love and family values that will continue to inspire and guide us. Although he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the stories we tell, the smiles we share, and the BBQs we enjoy in his honor. Obituary Preview: Frederick Anthony ("Tony") Potopsingh was the only child of Ferdinand Edward Potopsingh and Gloria (Duncan) Potopsingh born in Kingston, Jamaica on April 17,1944. After the premature death of his mother, before his second birthday, he lived at the Potopsingh ancestral home located in Baileys Vale in the Parish of St. Mary and was primarily raised by his grandmother, Mary Ann Potopsingh ("Nen"). There he was raised with his cousins Owen, Valentine ("Laddy"), Derrick ("Buddy") Potopsingh, Victoria ("Mearle"), and Therese ("Teri") Potopsingh. At 15 years old, Tony immigrated to London, England to rejoin his father who had previously migrated in the 1950s. There, he continued his education, made friends, and reconnected with his father.
Unexpectedly, his father would pass away 15 months after Tonys move to London, just one month after his 17th birthday. Undeterred, but not yet an adult in the eyes of the law, Tony continued his education whilst remaining in his inherited home at 153 Abbeville Road, Clapham, London. Guided by his fathers lawyer, Mr. Hauser, whom Tony always praised for allowing him to retain his independence; and under the guardianship of his two cousins, Owen and Stanley Potopsingh, Tony's London home became a sanctuary for close friends and family from Jamaica, and new friends whom he met in London who had also travelled abroad to further their educational goals.
In 1962, Tony earned a degree in telecommunications at Brixton College and began his career in the Communications Department at the British Post Office, which oversaw the telephone service in London at that time. Shortly thereafter, he met a fellow Jamaican, from Mandeville, Joybelle Reid, who was attending nursing school in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. They married in 1963 and welcomed a daughter, Sandra Vanessa Potopsingh, soon thereafter. The small family improved upon the London home and Tony moved on to work for General Electrics ("G.E.") Telecommunications Department.
In 1968, the family briefly returned to Mandeville, Jamaica where Tony worked at Alcan as an electrical technician. They soon moved to New York in 1970, and in 1972 welcomed a second daughter, Marie Ann Potopsingh, named primarily after Tonys beloved grandmother, Mary Ann ("Nen"). In an effort to return to a more tropical climate, in 1973, the family headed to South Florida and rejoined longtime friends, Hartley and June Royes, whom they befriended in London.
Tony flourished in his newly adopted home, earning his journeymans license, and commencing a successful career as an electrician in Florida. He became one of the founding members, and the first President of the Jamaica Domino Club of Fort Lauderdale. He ventured into real estate and opened Direct Electrical Supplies, Inc. in 1981, an electrical lighting and supply store. The business thrived and he soon purchased a warehouse for the business in Fort Lauderdale.
Despite this success, Tony always desired to return to Jamaica. In 1984, he expanded the business by opening a sister operation of Direct Electrical Supplies in Kingston. His location in Premier Plaza was extremely successful and he made the decision to relocate back to Jamaica at this time. Unfortunately, this fateful decision ended the marriage of Tony and Joy. However, they remained lifelong friends and continued to raise their daughters as a family unit.
Due to the success of the business, Tony purchased a building located at 120 Constant Spring Road, Kingston, and moved the store from Premier Plaza to this location, where the business continued to thrive. In 1991, Tony married Arlene ("Cole") Potopsingh and the two worked together in the business until his retirement.
Through the years, Tony encountered many adversities, personally and professionally, including several health battles. However, his positive outlook, work ethic, business acumen, tenacity, and sense of humor always persevered. Until the end, he continued to travel, visit with friends and family, and enjoyed reading, listening to music, and sending morning texts to stay in touch with his friends and family all over the world.
Tonys devotion to his children and his attachment to his family and longtime friends was genuine. Sadly, he was predeceased by daughter, Sandra Potopsingh Asher (Dustin) in 2021. He leaves to cherish his memories, wife, Arlene ("Cole") Potopsingh of Kingston, Jamaica; daughter, Marie Ann Potopsingh Gauthier; son-in-law Eric Gauthier of Coral Springs, Florida; grandson, Anthony Gauthier of Coral Springs, Florida; caretaker, Shernette Clarke, of Kingston, Jamaica; close friends, Michael King and Franklin Manhertz, and a host of other relatives and friends residing in Jamaica, Canada, England, and throughout the United States.

Madeline A. Schroeder - March 04, 1947 - October 10, 2023

Departed: 10/10/2023 (Margate)
Obituary Preview: Madeline Almira Tuckey Schroeder, born to George Tuckey and Inez Effy Thomas Tuckey, on March 4, 1947 in Baltimore, MD, and resident of South Florida and Dallas Texas, returned to her Lord and Savior on October 10, 2023. She started as an only child but she grew to be the legendary matriarch of a huge and loving family. Madeline Schroeder was a woman like no other. Brilliant, athletic, beautiful, compassionate, creative, confident, and modest she was seen by many as superhuman. Her life was truly extraordinary, and her legacy is endless and ever growing, through the progeny of her six children, and the thousands of lives she saved in her extensive career as an Intensive Care Charge Nurse. There was nothing that Madeline Schroeder couldnt do. When she walked into any room, she brought with her a sense of calm it was from the incredible confidence and self-assuredness that she had. One could never doubt that she was doing the correct thing, but more importantly she was always doing the right thing. Even with her many gifts, Madeline was always down-to-earth. She lived with a humility that is only ever truly shown by people with tremendous grace, integrity, and selflessness.
As a top student at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, her boundless energy was evident from the start. It was there that she met her high school sweetheart who went on to become her loving husband of 56 years, Jim Schroeder. Lifelong Catholics and staunch Republicans, Madeline and her husband lived what they spoke, and together built what could only be described as a true American family. Dedicated to God and Country, Madeline personified the Golden Rule; she earned the respect of everyone she met, as she treated all others with kindness and honesty. With a heartfelt passion, she always fought for the less fortunate, underprivileged, and those without a voice. She didnt just talk about it, she put her money where her mouth was and quietly gave extensively to charity her entire life. This extended to animals, as she loved them too. From taking in her stray dog Princess many years ago, to her most recent rescues Dallas and Toby, she often toyed with the idea of buying land somewhere to open an animal rescue. In the meanwhile, she just rescued all the people and animals around her.
Outside of her family, Madeline dedicated her life to caring for others through her selfless and heartfelt nursing career. Often called to go into Nursing Administration, or to attend Medical School, she stayed where she preferred, right by the sides of the patients she cared for. In particular, Madeline was an unerring supporter of unborn children, speaking her mind and teaching others the importance of all of Gods children, and that every life be given the opportunity to live.
In that same spirit, Madeline Schroeder truly lived life. If there was music to hear, especially country, she was up singing and dancing. If there was a task to be done, from making dinner to working on the house, she was equally comfortable wielding a kitchen knife or a power saw. Seeking adventure was in her nature Madeline was a phenomenal athlete who loved to throw around a ball, as much as she loved zip lining. She was never the mom waiting with her purse at the end of the roller coaster; she was the mom standing in line to go on it one more time before the amusement park closed! If there was a game to play she was in whether dealing the cards for pinochle, or racing someone in a wave runner, she was always up for the challenge! In fact, she never shied away from any challenge. She didnt pick fights, but if you came at her, her loved ones, or someone unable to defend himself, she would stand up and fight for what was right. To all who knew her, she was a true powerhouse of a woman.
