Departed: 04/18/2024 (Austin)
Obituary Preview: Our beloved Audrey Christine González, age 59, was called to our Heavenly Father on Thursday, April 18, 2024. She Audrey Christine “Tina” “Kiki” González, 59, was born September 17, 1964, in Austin, Texas, to Teresa and Ishmael González. She went to rest with the Lord on April 18, 2024, after a brief yet courageous battle with (non-alcoholic) liver disease.
She was Roman Catholic and attended the parishes of Santa Julia, Dolores, St. Catherine, St. Paul, St. Albert the Great, and St. Vincent de Paul.
In her childhood, she appeared on the KLRU-produced children’s show Carrascolendas. She attended Govalle Elementary School in Austin, Smith Elementary School in Del Valle Independent School District, and Del Valle Junior High School where she was a twirler in the band. She graduated from Austin High School in 1983. While in high school, she participated in a foreign exchange program and lived with a host family in Elche, Spain. She played clarinet in the Austin High School Band. She enjoyed attending concerts with her high school friends -- including her local favorite Joe “King” Carrasco and the touring acts that come through the Erwin Center. She was especially proud that Joe “King” wrote the song Hola Coca-Cola for her.

She attended The University of Texas studying radio-television-film. While there she worked as a receptionist at KLRU-TV and served as a hostess to the country stars appearing on Austin City Limits. The Eddie Rabbit show, recorded on her birthday, ended with her receiving a kiss from the country star during I Love a Rainy Night.
She graduated from UT in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in RTF. Over the years, she held various office jobs but ultimately worked as a veteran’s adviser at Austin Community College. While there, she began studying nursing with the intention of being able to care for her parents’ future medical needs but had to suspend her studies when her own health became an issue.
She had several dogs over the years including Ayesha, Christmas, Angel, Cuddles, and Cash.
She was preceded in death by her father Ishmael Gonzalez. She is survived by her mother Teresa Olvera González, her brother, Christopher and his wife Elizabeth, her brother Christian and his wife Jodi, and nephews Eric Indiana, Michael Tiernan, Matthew Teagan, Julian Reyes Mahon, and great-niece Zara Indyana and great-nephew Ezio Amadeus. Felipe Rodriguez Lopez - February 17, 1963 - March 05, 2024

Departed: 03/05/2024 (Austin)
Obituary Preview: Our beloved Felipe Rodriguez Lopez, age 61, was called to our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. Felipe is preceded in death by his father, Manuel Rodriguez Lopez, and his brother, Fernando Rodriguez Lopez.
Felipe was born in Encarnacion de Diaz in Jalisco, Mexico in 1963 and grew up in the scenic mountains of Villa de Arriaga at Rancho El Jardin. Although he cherished his home, he chose to leave for the United States in his early 20s to make a better life for himself and his family in Austin, Texas. Felipe is the embodiment of the American Dream, but never forgot his loved ones back in Mexico. Up until only a few months ago, he continued to visit his family and adoring mother back on his home ranch.
While he was utterly sentimental, he was a master with his hands. He entered the landscaping business around 1986, working for the Foradory family's H&H Landscaping Services business, and continues to work with the family to this day. He has shown immense dedication to those around him and has received the same in return. If he were here today, Felipe would want us to say thank you to the Foradory family for always supporting him and for helping to shape his legacy.
However, Felipe's greatest legacy and what he was most proud of were his children who share the utmost adoration for him and his kindhearted ways. In the words of his two daughters, Venessa and Felicia, "Dad became a father to all of our siblings and shared his kindness with all of them." When he wasn't driving on one of his bobcat skid steers, Felipe loved to dance, and playing pool.
Felipe is survived by his mother, Catalina Lopez Monrrial; his children, Venessa Ann Rodriguez, Felicia Ann Rodriguez, Linda Vasquez, Robert Herrera, Herminio Herrera, Linda Ann Melendez, Griselda Anai Rodriguez Ordaz, and Kevin Rodriguez; his treasured grandchildren, Ava Liana Ocampo, Oscar Xavier Ocampo, Jeremiah Cruz Rodriguez, and Morris Guillermo Weingarten; his brothers, Francisco Javier Rodriguez Lopez, Manuel Rodriguez Lopez, and Bernardo Rodriguez Lopez; his sisters, Maria Del Carmen Rodriguez Lopez, Maria De Jesus Rodriguez Lopez, and Maria Veronica Rodriguez, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas. This will conclude public services for Mr. Felipe Rodriguez Lopez as he will repatriate home to Mexico for additional services and burial. -------------------------------------
