Teena Pace Polivick - September 10, 1953 - January 21, 2024

Departed: 01/21/2024 (Wickliffe)
Obituary Preview: It is with great sadness that the family of Theresa “Teena” Marie Polivick announces her passing on January 21, 2024, at the age of 70.
Teena was a skilled baker and cook, a love she shared with her mother and sister, Lisa. She was known all over Western Kentucky for her delicious pies. She and Lisa worked in restaurants alongside each other for most of her life and even owned Chris’ Diner together. She made thousands of pies in her lifetime for family, friends, attendees of the annual St. Charles Picnic, patrons of Hillbilly BBQ, and the citizens of Ballard and Carlisle County.
After the passing of her mother, Teena would tell you that spending every day baking pies was no hardship for her, as it was like spending the day with her mother and hearing her voice in her head telling her the recipe each time.
Her greatest gift, though, was in her discipleship and the many friends and family who came to know Jesus through knowing her. She was passionate about sharing the love of our Lord with others, and she lived to serve. To know her was to be loved by her. She was a devoted member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church and loved her Church family dearly. Her family will miss her big presence in their lives, but they rejoice knowing she is in peace and resting with the Lord. She was made to be an angel.
Teena was married to the love of her life, Larry Polivick, for 53 years. Their deep love and respect for each other was felt by all who encountered them. They were blessed with three wonderful sons, who were her biggest source of pride, and nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She was truly a matriarch, and her impact will be felt for years to come. She loved being with her family and celebrating any special day or event.
If Teena was not sharing her love of God, you could find her shopping with her sister Lisa, traveling with her husband and family, taking her grandchildren to pick out toys at the store, or out on Friday night dates to Paducah with her loving husband.
She joins in heaven her parents Anna Mae Pace and Robert Allen Pace, her brothers Brad Pace, John Pace, Kenny Pace, and sister Robbie Pace.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Polivick; her sons, Bradley Polivick (Dana), Presley Polivick (Melissa), and Dusty Polivick (Brandy); her grandchildren, Karen Polivick, Spencer Polivick (Bryce), Justin Polivick (Millicent), Nicole Sonnek (Dylan), Kayla Stephens, Chase Stephens, Peyton Polivick (Taylor), Hayden Polivick (Camryn), Sawyer Polivick, Linkoln Stewart, Mallory Stewart; and great-grandchildren, Kylar, Izabella, Rory Jo, Kolton, Adalynne, Declan, Baker, Kipton, Ellison, Jaxon and Vincent; her sisters, Lisa Bruer (Gaylon), and Starla Perkins; and her brothers, Chris Pace, and Timmy Pace (Marie), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Cunningham with Rev. Tim Harvey officiating. Burial will follow at St. Charles Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the service time of 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at the church. Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe is in charge of arrangements. You may share a Hug from Home, leave a message or light a candle at www.milnerandorr.com
