Departed: 08/02/2023 (Millsboro)
Obituary Preview: James Louis Johnson was born on August 31, 1958, to Annie Louise Johnson in Burlington County, New Jersey.  He departed this life on August 2, 2023.
As a child, James enjoyed playing basketball, listening to music, and hanging out with friends. He had a natural talent for singing and was an avid fan of all genres of music.
James was educated in the Pennsauken School System. After leaving high school, he enlisted in the United States Army Reserves and was honorably discharged for his service.
In his teen years, James met and fell in love with the love of his life, Antionette” Nettie” Wright. The two were inseparable, sharing over fifty years as a couple.  Through many of life’s twists and turns, the couple gave meaning to the expression, “till death do we part” and added meaning to what the meaning of “true love” encompasses.
After moving to Delaware in 1990, James and Nettie purchased a house and made it a home where many cherished memories would be spent over the years.  James spent a lot of his downtime in his man cave where he often enjoyed listening to music, singing, playing drums, watching the Philadelphia Eagles, and hosting family and friends.
James was a dedicated employee and worked in many industries but always seemed to return to his favorite career in car sales and management.  He never missed a day of work, even when he wasn’t feeling his best.  James took pride in providing for his household and helping others who were in need.  His quick wit, contagious laugh, and sense of humor always lightened the mood. James was preceded in death by his little angel, Jaida (daughter)
James leaves to cherish his loving and dedicated wife, Antionette “Nettie” Wright-Johnson; mother, Annie Louise Johnson; a brother, Floyd “Lonny” Johnson (Mindy); sister-in-law, Tanya Wright (Dave); goddaughters, Faith Wright and Taylor Johnson; nephew, David Daniels; surrogate sister-in-law, Angela Cureton (Brian); surrogate brother-in-law; Robert Wright, Jr. (Sonia); special aunt, Mabel “Pops” Johnson; special uncle, Robert Wright, Sr.; and a host of aunts, cousins, family and friends.

While traveling, she would often send postcards to her nieces and nephews. While working at PE, Kathleen would often babysit for her sisters’ children, earning the nickname “Pee-Ping” when the younger children couldn’t pronounce her name.
Penny “went where she was needed and did what was needed to help”. After she retired, she moved to Sussex County, Delaware. Neighbors would come and go, but she became very close to Diane, Peg, and Phil. Obituary Preview: Martha M. Santana Kellam, was born on September 3, 1977, in Seaford, Delaware, to Maximina Cruz Santana and Carmelo Santana.  She departed this life on February 15, 2023.
Martha was a happy little girl growing up.  She liked to sing all the time.  She was always outgoing and very determined.  Whatever she put her mind to doing she accomplished.
Martha attended PS167 Elementary School and 1S210 Junior High School and Boys and Girls High School, in Brooklyn, New York. Martha completed her final year of High school at James H. Graves Adult High School in Delaware.  Martha attended Sussex Tech in Georgetown, Delaware where she studied and completed the Nursing Assistant Program with Honors.  She achieved her goal by obtaining her Nursing Assistant Diploma and Certification.
Martha loved dancing, swimming, photography and skiing, but her favorite thing was cooking.  Sometimes she would facetime her sister Maria, aka Lulu, who was also her best friend, and they would share recipes, laughs and talk about family.   Martha was very family oriented and had a special place in her heart for them. She loved cookouts, parties and hanging with her family.  She was very helpful and always looked out for the children, especially her grandbabies whom she cherished dearly.
Martha married Otis Kellam and shared 20 years of love, loving each other unconditionally.  They always got back together through joy, pain, laughter, sadness, or any circumstance.  Martha’s smile would make Otis walk a mile to get whatever she needed or wanted. Martha could make Otis do anything she wanted except drink water.  LOL.  He refuses to drink water.  Martha loved all her children dearly, biological and through marriage and they all knew it.  She never treated anyone of them differently.
