Gary Clyde Dull, Jr. - November 28, 1971 - May 27, 2023

Departed: 05/27/2023 (Sanford)
Obituary Preview: With deepest sorrow, we announce that Gary Clyde Dull, Jr., age 51, has passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023.
Gary will be missed by his parents, Gary & Carla Dull, Bryan Dull (brother), Heather & Scott Clawson (sister & brother-in-law), Amzie, Preston and James Clawson (nephews), Yvonne Wood (aunt), James and Rose Peele (uncle and aunt) Erlene Brown and Connie Ellis (great-aunts), and many cousins.
We know that Gary is now with his grandparents: Clyde and Vivian Dull, JC and Earlene Peele, and his great aunts and great uncles.
Gary Clyde Dull, Jr., was born on November 28, 1971. His sister was happy to have a brother, and since they were 11-months apart, they were sort of like twins. We did not know at the time, that God had sent us a special needs child with multiple health issues.
Gary always loved the simple pleasures of life such as: having breakfast with granddaddy at Ms. Wenger’s, riding the dump truck with Uncle Paul, planting flowers with his mother, having fun with his sister, brother-in-law, and his nephews (he would call them his three boys) when they came home from New Jersey. On beautiful, sunny days, you would find Gary and his daddy, hitting golf balls at the local driving range. He would always smile and laugh when him and his daddy played checkers, and Gary, Jr would always win. He always participated in the Special Olympics, and he had great pride in his many metals. He also won trophies when he participated in the Handicapped bowling and golfing tournaments. Gary always looked forward to the annual “Night to Shine” prom, since he loved to dance. He attended and graduated from Floyd Knight School at the age of 21. He had a love for his school.
At the age of 9, Gary accepted the Lord Jesus as his Savior. He loved going to church, and on some occasions, he was given the opportunity to ring the church bell before the service. As Gary progressed through his life journey, his health began to get worse. His belief and love for Jesus had given him strength and courage to battle the health issues through many tough days.
He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
Special thanks to the employees at Peak Resources-Pine Lake for the superb care they gave Gary. He truly loved all of his nurses, nurse aides, cafeteria and housekeeping employees, and all of the friends that he made during his stay. Also, special thanks to his doctor, Dr. Rajan Mitchell.

She was a homemaker in the truest sense of the word. From having a special meal on the table when you arrived, to orchestrating the most magical Christmas you can imagine, Kathleen made any place she was feel like home. She always said that the most rewarding thing she had ever done, and was most proud of, was bringing up her children. She drew great satisfaction from seeing what kind, capable, and accomplished adults all three have become.Kathleen was a talented artist who especially loved painting in watercolors and acrylics. Her favorite subjects were flowers and beautiful old barns. She also painted pictures of friends’ houses. As a person whose favorite place to be was home, she enjoyed creating a lasting memory of a special place in a family’s history. The one place other than home that Kathleen loved to be was the beach, especially with her grandchildren when they were very young, playing ball and building sandcastles.Kathleen faced health challenges involving chronic pain for several decades, and rarely complained. One month before passing, she learned that there were no other medical treatment options available and entered hospice care. She spent that time trying to make her passing as easy as possible on her family, organizing her belongings, passing down special jewelry and paintings to her children, and writing notes to friends. She expressed extreme gratitude for her life and family. She spent time reminiscing, laughing, and toasting a life well-lived. Kathleen taught us all that even in the hardest times imaginable, finding the joy and gratitude in a blessed life is cause for celebration.Kathleen is loved “To the Moon and Back” (from a favorite children’s book, Guess How Much I Love You), and will be missed by everyone who knew her.A memorial service will be held 10AM, Saturday, July, 20th 2019 at the Miller-Boles Funeral Home Chapel in Sanford.
