Obituary Preview: Robert W. “Bob” Seiders, 76, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022 in Reading Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on March 22, 1946, Bob was the son of the late Robert W. and Mariam (Feltman) Seiders. He was the husband of Doris A. (Miller) Seiders with whom he shared 34 years of marriage.

Bob was a 1964 graduate of Reading High School. He was employed by Met-Ed for many years as a Welder until his retirement in 2001. Bob held lifetime memberships at Kenhorst Fire Company and Temple Fire Company; He also served as the Trustee of Temple Fire Company for over 20 years. Bob was heavily involved in all Muhlenberg Youth Sports and was a member of MTAA having served on the board, as a past President and a Coach in the 70’s and 80’s. He also was a coach for the Temple A’s City County Jr. League for many years.

In addition to his wife, Doris, Bob is survived by his children, Tracy West, wife of John, Heath Seiders, husband of Jennifer, Shannon Painter, wife of Brad, Kirk Seiders, fiancé of Amanda Aulenbach, Ernest Weller, husband of Melissa, and Todd Weller.  Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and one sister, Linda Pauley, wife of Robert.

Bob was predeceased by his son, Steven Seiders, grandchildren, Justin Seiders and Ellis Seiders and one sister, Jacqueline Peterson.

A visitation will be held, Friday, April 22, 2022 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Road, Temple.

Born on May 19, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Cecelia (Szajna) Berube. She was the wife of the late Glenn H. Binkley whom passed away on October 27, 2013.

Marian is survived by her children, Christine A. Steckbeck, wife of Keith, Renae Fichthorn, Timothy W., husband of Kathy Binkley and Jeneen R. Gentile, wife of Michael; Daughter-in-law Rose Binkley; 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was predeceased by her son, Glenn H. Binkley, Jr., three sisters and four brothers.

Services will be held privately at the request of the family.

Burial will take place at Gethsemane Cemetery.

Born on June 24, 1953, she was a daughter to the late Harold Walter and Pauline Elizabeth (Conrad) Myers. Beverly was a 1971 graduate of Oley Valley High School.

Beverly loved sewing, crocheting and she attended the Governor Mifflin Holiday Craft Bazaar for the past 35 years. In her free time, she also enjoyed baking and sculpting cakes and wedding cakes. Beverly also loved going to and participating in the BCTV Dance Parties.

Beverly is survived by her son, Gary R. Boyer, husband of Meagan, of Exeter and one granddaughter, Kiera A. Maberry. Also surviving are siblings Danny Myers, Linda Myers-Dobb; Best friend of 60 years, Faye Beamenderfer and companion Robert Lesher.

In addition to her parents, Beverly was predeceased by two brothers, Larry Weiss and Rodney Weiss.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Wyomissing Cemetery located in Gouglersville behind the Wyomissing United Church.

She was born in Reading on April 6,1946 to the late Claude and Violet (Fichthorn) Ernst. She was a graduate of Reading High School class of 1964.  She was employed for more than 20 years with the Camp Industries in Reading as a knitter.  She then went on to work in the financial industry eventually retiring from the Santander Bank after 10years of service.

Patricia is survived by two daughters, Betty Jo Iovanna wife of Tracey Eppler-Iovanna of Muhlenberg, Theresa Miller of Birdsboro; son, Dennis Dunlap husband of Jennifer of Shillington; grandchildren Jennifer E. Palm, Laurie J. Moyer, Sahara Golden and Dublin Dunlap; great- grandchildren Nazzareno and Romero Herbst and Riley and Lincoln Moyer.

Patricia is also survived by five brothers John, Ernie, Bruce, Norman and Leroy Ernst.

She was preceded in death by her sisters Gloria G. Schlegel, Betty Jane Ernst and Joann M. Demonet and her brothers Richard, George and David Ernst.

Obituary Preview: Arlene G. Ludwig, 88, of Spring Township, passed away in her home with her loving daughter by her side on March 19, 2022.  She was the wife of the late Winfield “Lou” A. Ludwig with whom she shared 63 years of marriage at the time of his passing on November 15, 2019.

Born in Reading, Arlene was the daughter of the late Harvey F. and Gertrude E. (Klinger) Youndt.

Arlene graduated from Reading High School, class of 1951.  She went on to pursue a career with the former Sovereign Bank and retired after 35 years as the Vice President of Human Resources in 1992.

Arlene was an avid skier and a long- time member of the Flying Dutchmen Ski Club.  She enjoyed traveling throughout Europe for her ski trips and always looked forward to her annual ski trip to Copper Mountain, CO.  She also enjoyed cruising to Hawaii and the Caribbean, and spending time at her cabin in Potter County for over 50 years.

Arlene is survived by her daughter Kelly A., wife of Kevin Mahan, of Spring Township; granddaughters: Jenna E., wife of Shawn Griffith of Exeter; Steffanie A. Mahan, wife of Andrew Phillips, of Mohnton; and Morgan E. Mahan fiancé of David Hiester, of Mohnton; great-grandson Harrison M. Phillips.  Her “adopted” daughter Christine J. Garber of Sinking Spring. A brother James Youndt husband of Betty, of West Lawn; and three sisters Janice Jones widow of the late Robert, of Wyomissing; Loretta Kriner wife of Wayne, of West Lawn; and Joyce Schaeffer widow of Ronald, of Reading.

She is predeceased by three sisters Shirley Wisniewski, Margaret Brightbill and Helen Rentschler.

Arlene will be laid to rest next to her late husband Lou, in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring.  Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Born on July 9, 1959, he was the son of the late Jay Becker and Maryann (LaFaver) Hefflefinger. He was the husband of Annette (Cordier) Becker with whom he shared 31 years of marriage.

Kevin was a 1977 graduate of Fleetwood High School. He was employed for 2 years by New Enterprise Lime and Stone. Prior to that, he was employed for 22 years by E. J. Brenneman. Kevin also served as a volunteer firefighter with the Blandon Fire Company #1 for 40 years. He was a member of Maidencreek Church. He also held memberships at Horace M. Kieffer Home Assn. and he was a lifetime member of the Blandon Hunting Camp.

Kevin loved shooting pool for the APA league. He was an avid Phillies fan and enjoyed fishing in Delaware, hunting and riding his Harley before ALS took those pleasures away from him. He once rolled a 300 game in his bowling league and also played fast pitch softball on various teams for many years.

In addition to his wife, Kevin is survived by his children, Sean Donovan, fiancé of Charissa Soja, Michael Kauffman, husband of Jennifer and Kevin C. Becker. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Alisa, Keira, Blake, Adalyn, Lainee, Kayson, Reily and great granddaughter Za’Mira; Siblings, Allen Becker, husband of Thiago Veronez, Tina Heckman and Wayne Becker, Sr., husband of Wendy, along with several nephews.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2022 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm with a Memorial Service begging at 8:00 pm in the Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Road, Temple. The family request that casual attire be worn to the services.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 24th at 11 AM in the Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple.

A viewing will be held on Thursday morning from 9:30 am until 11:00 am in the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service in Berks Country Memorial Gardens.

Eleanor was married for sixty-one loving years to David W. Hoagland, Sr.

Born in Reading she was the daughter of the late Mark George and Natha (Lee) George.

She attended Faith Evangelical Congregational Church in Temple.

She graduated from Reading High School in 1959, then she was employed for thirty- one years for Lucent Technologies.

Eleanor enjoyed gardening, feeding birds around her house, boating with Dave at Lake Wallenpaupack, and also attending horse shows with Dave.

Together they enjoyed attending the Hoagland Family Reunion in Bedford and remote-control airplane shows in Kutztown.

Watching the Hallmark channel and enjoying a steak sandwich at Linda’s Steak Stand at the Leesport Farmers Market were also a few of Eleanor’s favorite pastimes.

Eleanor was very active at the Muhlenberg Twp. Food Pantry where she would organize fund raising events at the former Hoss’s Steak House in Leesport, then later at the Leesport Diner.

Eleanor loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.

Additional survivors include a son, David W. Hoagland, Jr. and wife Karen Hoagland of Shoemakersville. She is predeceased by a daughter, Lyndell Irene Bauman.

There are four grandchildren, Chad, Kristi, Dakota, and Dalton Hoagland, three great grandchildren, Kaeden, Marley, and Melania, and several great great grandchildren.

She is survived by her siblings, Paul and Kenneth George and Doris Radcliff.

She is predeceased by her siblings, David Carl George, Donald George, and Marilyn Collins.

Barbara was a 1970 graduate of William Allan High School and went on to graduate from the Reading Hospital School of Nursing in 1973 and earned a B.S. in Nursing from Immaculata University in 2008. She was the wife of Nolan J. Noecker, with whom she shared 48 loving years of marriage.

Barbara was employed as a Registered Nurse for 48 years, lastly working at the Mifflin Center until her retirement in 2018.

Barbara loved spending time with her family and was a doting grandmother who cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Nolan, Barbara is survived by her children, Sarah E. Fowler, wife of Brandon, Andrew S. Noecker, husband of Adriana, and Michael N. Noecker, husband of Megan. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Sydney Marie Noecker- Redner, William Brandon Fowler, Mary Rose Fowler, Harrison Stewart Noecker,and Harper Drew Noecker, none of whom ever heard the word ‘No’ from their grandmother; and siblings, Karl E. Myer, Elaine J. Martin, wife of Edward, Louise M. Kleckner, wife of Glen, and Dawn E. Moyer, wife of Dennis.

There are two great grandchildren, Hikari L. and Allora J. Gehris.

Jean has three living siblings and three deceased siblings.

Eugene Jay Manmiller - August 24, 1931 - February 16, 2022

Obituary Preview: Eugene Jay Manmiller, 90, of Temple, passed away Wednesday, in Complete Care At Berkshire. He was a resident at Berkshire Commons since April 2021.

Eugene was married to the late Charlotte “Fern” (Dennison) Manmiller.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Victor and Edna (Heiter) Manmiller.

Eugene graduated from Muhlenberg Twp. High School in 1949 and then served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He began his employment career as a carpenter and worked his way up to General Superintendent, last  employed by Perry Construction Company.

He was involved in many local construction projects including, Kutztown University Planetarium and dormitories and the completion of Muhlenberg High School.

He was formerly a member of Temple Borough Council for many years and served as President for several years.

He loved going dancing at the Northmont Club with his very dear lady friend, Janet Brisan.

He enjoyed vacationing in Dagsboro Delaware at the Tuckahoe Acres Camping Resort and traveling to numerous islands in the Caribbean, especially Aruba, with the late "Sally" Long.

He was a Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees fan.

He was a lifetime member of the Temple Fire Co. and a 70- year member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.

Surviving is a loving son and family, Eugene C. Manmiller and wife Jane (Long)  Manmiller of Temple and his loving grandchildren, Charlotte R. and Aubrey M. Manmiller.

He is predeceased by his siblings, Olivia “Gladys” Diefenderfer, Fern Reichert, Joyce Lutz, John Manmiller, Edwin Manmiller, and Harry Manmiller also Lloyd Manwiller, Ph.D. and Roy Manmiller.

He is also predeceased by a son, Michael G. Manmiller.

Pauline S. Morgenstein - March 12, 1937 - February 13, 2022

Obituary Preview: Pauline Sylvia Morgenstein passed away early Sunday morning February 13, 2022, Super Bowl Sunday, at Fairlane Gardens Nursing home in Exeter, PA.

She was predeceased by her parents Gladys (Kneital) and David Morgenstein ( Brooklyn NY), her sister Dorothy Schweitzer ( Brooklyn NY) her brother -in-law Morris Schweitzer ( Brooklyn NY) and her niece Linda Weiner ( Brooklyn NY) last living in Holmdel NJ. Pauline is survived by her nephew-in-law Jeff Weiner (Brooklyn NY) currently living in  Holmdel NJ, Great- nephew Greg Weiner born in Keyport NJ currently of Fair Haven NJ, Great-niece Rachael Weiner born in Keyport NJ currently of Seabright NJ, Great-niece Allison McGee born in Holmdel NJ currently of Fair Haven NJ and several great great nephews. Pauline is also survived by a cousin Norman Horing born in Brooklyn and currently of Hoboken NJ.

Pauline was born March 12,  1937 in Brooklyn NY. On  June 23, 1952, Pauline received her diploma from the board of education of the city of New York.

After attending the the 1958 International Convention of Jehovah’s Witness at Yankee Stadium in New York City New York, she studied the Bible with the Compazza family in Brooklyn and began associating with the Pitkin Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Pauline symbolized her dedication to her God Jehovah on June 17, 1963. Pauline moved to the Reading PA around 1970. During the last 50 plus years, she was a member of the Reading East Congregation, the Reading Northwest Congregation, and the North Reading Congregation.

Pauline had served as a regular pioneer minister before her health started to decline. She attended the 2009 International Convention of Jehovah’s Witness in Hamburg Germany with her friends Jayme and Jason Jadush. Pauline had worked as a housekeeper at Berks Heim nursing home and retired from RACC as a housekeeper in 2002. Pauline will be fondly remembered for her practicality, honesty, loyalty, and as “The Brooklyn Kid” with her quick wit and sense of dry humor.

The friends of Pauline would like to thank the staff of Fairlane Gardens (Exeter, PA) and Grane Hospice (King of Prussia, PA) for their compassion and kindness they showed Pauline during her time with them.

Interment will be private.

Born on November 14, 1932, she was a daughter to the late Francis Joseph and Bernice Lucille (Allen) Graf. She was the wife of Ralph D. Gutshall, Jr. Nancy was a graduate of Shippensburg University where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Education.

She was most recently employed by the Reading Hospital as a Unit Clerk for 23 years. Previously she worked for the Muhlenberg School District as a Substitute Teacher. Nancy was a current member of Unity Church of Reading. She was also a member of the Muhlenberg Library book club and was an avid reader. Nancy also loved the Theatre ever since her first role of Veta Louise Simmons in a Production of Harvey. In her free time, she also enjoyed playing games on her computer such as FreeCell and Spider Solitaire.

In addition to her husband, Ralph, Nancy is survived by her children, Shawn E. Epler, wife of James F. III, Lincoln E. Gutshall, husband of Stephanie, Terri L. Matchicka and Curt A. Gutshall, husband of Cynthia. Also surviving are grandchildren, Zane D. Hill, James F. Epler IV, Ali A. Epler, Derek A. Gutshall, wife of Caitty, and Kyle E. Gutshall; Great grandchildren, Zoey A. Hill, Vincent A. Gutshall, Aryia D. Gutshall, Cami J. Nutter and one sister, Joan Coleman, wife of Jay Coleman.

Nancy was predeceased by one grandson, Evan J. Gutshall.

A viewing will be held Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am with a memorial service beginning at 11:00 am in the Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Road, Temple, PA 19560.

Born December 28, 1931 she was a daughter to the late Edward L. and Martha (Stepulitis) Cole. Lillian was the wife of the late Charles W. Hinkle whom she married December 28, 1948 having shared 63 years of marriage at the time of his passing on April 12, 2012.

Lil was a devoted wife and loving mother. Affectionally called “Lil on the hill” by all her friends and family, she was always smiling and had the most infectious optimistic attitude. Lillian loved sewing and made all of her children’s clothing when they were growing up. She also frequently would knit hats and scarfs for the homeless and cancer patients at various hospitals. She also loved butterflies. You could often find her wearing butterfly jewelry or pins everywhere she went.

Lil is survived by her daughters, Charlene L. Leisey, wife of Barry Leisey of Reading and Cheryl L. Machemer, wife of Terry L. Machemer of Robesonia. Also surviving is 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Granddaughter, Michelle Pyle, was her primary caregiver.

In addition to her husband and parents, Lillian was preceded in death by her children, Charmaine L. Hinkle, Daniel C. Hinkle, Christine L. Barr and one brother, Edward R. Cole.

He is predeceased by his Grandmothers, Mabel Miller and Maria Cruz Santiago and his Grandfather, Richard Miller.

Carlos was deeply loved by his family and friends.

Above all, Simonina was a doting grandmother and cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Simonina is survived by her children, JoAnn (Donofrio) Hale, wife of Tom Hale, and DiAnn (Donofrio) Smoot, wife of Charles Thomas Smoot.
